I haven't purchased a ton of WatchFighters videos. I figure, why watch out-of-shape dudes in underwear bearhugging or scissoring on a bed, when I could reach out to one of my wrestle-buddies and be doing the same myself?

However, this recently-posted and well-made Tag Team video starring some of the hottest performers in the Gay Wrestling universe, was a Must Stream for me. Yes, its a little pricier than your typical WF video, but it's got four of the most talented wrestle-porn stars giving us over 20 minutes of good work, so well worth it in my opinion!

Here we have two of the baddest, most-skilled Heels -- Brendan Byers and Gabe Steele in black bikinis. Their whipping boys in blue trunks are Scrappy and Tanner, beautiful Babyfaces who suffer with gusto.

Brendan and Gabe dominate the majority of the match with their dirty tactics and superior size, although Scrappy gets some Babyface Shine early in the bout when he puts Brendan in a rather humiliating Backbreaker (Brendan looks spectacular, I should've GIFFed it!)

We are treated to some of my favorite Tag Team tropes: mirror image holds, dirty ball-busting, double-teaming, intra-team trash talk, even a surprising betrayal.

So I'm glad WatchFighters is a thing because it gives guys like THEM a place to sell matches like THIS. I love me some underground Tag Team action with old school Face-in-Peril vibes, and I'm always happy to find new sources for obtaining it.

Sleep…..ssleeeep. Joey Nux puts Gabe Steele to sleep in front sleeper hold and then again in regular sleeper hold leaving Gabe on the mats in a deep restful sleep.

this show is driving me fucking CRAZY i loved every part of it except sally jackson which is RIDICULOUS because they made sally jackson the moral heart of it and leaned in to "everything percy is is because of her" and i WANTED that i LOVE that but then sally herself is?? just??? okay hold on spoilers

i've seen people say that they really appreciate that in this version sally doesn't have to be a doormat who just quietly suffers for her son's sake, and i GET that, i do! i appreciate that!!! not every mother's story should be about endless self-sacrifice!

but sally's WASN'T!!!

it was a story about a scared single mother who ended up in a bad situation and didn't know how to get out, and when she's given the opportunity she fucking TAKES IT!!!

and there are things about the show sally that i like! she isn't constantly cooking gabe food, she doesn't have to say it was selfish to keep her son near her, we see her argue with percy because she struggled and wasn't perfect she was a young single mom, she honks in traffic and gets road rage! i like all of that!!

but i just...

i really, REALLY miss her choosing to kill her abusive husband using medusa's head.

and honestly, i could talk about how goddamn INCREDIBLE of a character choice it was to have a mother who is willing to kill, explicitly out of revenge instead of just to protect her son, while simultaneously being the epitome of a loving mother who teaches her son to do BETTER than just dealing violence and to think about who the real monsters are, and to choose love and responsibility and care!

i could talk about how cool it is that she stops percy from killing gabe not because he "shouldn't kill" but because it needs to be her choice.

i could RANT about how important it is for the story to explicitly have her make the choice to kill him for hurting her, rather than it happening by chance because gabe's the kind of asshole to steal mail, or happening in a way that lets people say "poseidon put that there he took care of gabe for sally lol"--

but she already said it best!

"If my life is going to mean anything i have to live it myself."

and it really really sucks that the show took that away from her

curious (and because i have some sort of thing for color coding groups of things like notebooks... and because this is for art purposes), how would you color code the war dogs?

as a group black and silver/white cause thats simply their thing - individually Clark got his loud pink highlights, Gabe the striking cool blue of his eyes, an expensive white/silver for Dan and a strong stormy grey for Alex

With my muse shifting to Cataclysm for, you know, reasons, I figured I’d go ahead and get my monthly Division design out of the way, lol.  These are the first set that aren’t shaded, but rather have the lines colored, since I’m going to go with that sort of style going forward.  Does look better, actually!

Gabe’s design doesn’t get too much of an upgrade.  I basically took what I had given him for the rewrite (with the intention that it would be the outfit for book 2, except I liked it and felt like it was more his ‘style’, so I adopted it as his ‘main’ outfit), and gave him longer sleeves, since everyone is wearing colder weather clothes.  I’ll admit that I don’t have an exact timeframe for when the story takes place, so weather related clothes makes no sense, but…meh. 

His design is nothing too exciting, but I like it regardless.  I love his shirt, although you can’t really read it: it says ‘Computer Whisperer’.  Which…I felt was appropriate.  :p

The next design is supposed to be a surprise (except I streamed this, so…not much of a surprise). I realized that Nova interacts with Mr. Wolfhart a lot, given he’s her boyfriend’s father and the leader of the Guild, especially in the later books.  I realized he, technically, would be considered a main character based on that. Plus, I kinda hated the design I had come up with for Captain Steel, so figured screw it, I’ll redesign it.

But then I hated that design as well, so I went through and redesigned it again, and now I really, really like it! 

I like his main outfit. I intended for him to be wearing the Guild jacket most of the time, but when searching around for fashions to put people in, I came across this jacket, and though it would look really cool on him, and I was right!  It suits him really well, especially since it actually doesn’t look as old as he actually is.

The half cape there was inspired by manhua’s that I read.  I mostly read ‘historical’ ones that are set in fantasy worlds, and the half cape thing seems to be a common article of clothing.  I like the look, and thought it would make Captain Steel look more regal. 

Over all, very pleased with how this these turned out.  There’s only one more set of the ‘main’ characters before I move on to the secondary characters.  I have time, right?  >.< (Provided I don’t accidentally do Division in April.  Eek!)
