my #1 ffxiv-related tetris effect is that whenever theres some fucked up weather event going on outside, i instinctively glance at the upper-right corner of my field of vision to see what the weather compass has to say about The Fuckening
#it happens mostly here tbh because there's like. this really really thick ominous WET fog seemingly half the time#spreading ouf of nowhere. the weather will be clear and nice and then you look up and T H E F O G and you literally cant see shit#and THEN (seems somewhat related to the fog?) there's this paper factory in the town that will something make everything stink like crazy#FOULEST smell youve ever smelt. like sewer but worst somehow. and it is. pervasive#it happens at least once or twice a day but very unpredictably and it can last from like 30 minutes to The Entire Fucking Night#so. weather compass momence

my Cool Hat tierlist fueled by my irritation about Yenisei's hat (playaple characters up to ver2.5 i1 uncluded)
#The extravagancy to rank ratio is pretty consistent until the S-ranks which got their place for silverwork#(also they look comfortable to wear).#Charlie's cyllinder is a bit gaudy to my taste but is serves its function#Willow straight up has a witch hat#so she's winning.#Erick's plush helmet isn't so funtional but I can respect the commitment to the bit.#Druvis' hat is cute but also barely funtions as a hat#so minus point.#Oliver's hat's hight can be justifyed by providing some recongnizability to a person on a thick fog#but the front stichings definetely take some points away.#(I like your hat Fog its a bit silly but you don't need it so much)#Nick's hat is just rather plain and just makes him look more human and Melania's hat is intentionally boring#While Marcus' hat is very similar to Melania's one its light decorations work quite good with the rest of her outfit.#Vertin's hat is iconic but lacks the structulal imagination of the more highly ranked hats.#Brimley is literaly sentient and his desing carries enough chatacter to put him to A rank#If you wanted to know why I'm hating on Yenisei's hat that's the ear flaps - why are the stitched *here*?#Why do they cover temples when the ears are 5cm away from them???#reverse 1999#r1999

#story time story time!#sometimes hard things…can be fun!!#went with a friend to a new dance class today a few towns away#and the valley it’s in was full of this really thick fog#and the dance place was this old brick storefront in a classic hallmark small town downtown with big windows and warm lights#that filled the fog up like Christmas#and when I went in my friend went off to do something and I was sitting in the waiting room getting ready#and I ran into a ten year old girl straight out of a movie#she was getting her outdoor clothes on and set her phone next to me on a table and waited a second then said#‘that’s MY phone’#and I said cool!#and she said all the kids in class already have my phone number. but the first three calls I got were from Hawaii#i don’t know anyone in Hawaii#and then Stiles called me last night. i don’t know how in the h-e-double-hockey-sticks HE got my phone number but he accidentally called!#then her phone rang and it was her mom so she said ‘hey mom I’ll be right out.’ and then told me ‘see ya’ and left#WHAT movie did she step out of??#also those were all her words from STILES from her school to the double hockey sticks#God bless that girl#and then class was just a really nice girl our age teaching and me and my friend and the golden foggy light#it was. a Moment for sure#to remember

there are times that i'm stuck into the void of a mind bereft of any consistent ideas to create anything until star treatment starts playing and the multitude of distinct musical arrangements lining up in a set of chords that transports you to a liminal space built in the frenzied generation of the generation of information of the 2000s designed through a collection of footages from the 1970s classics get into your cerebral sulci for about forty minutes and it's like creativity is alive and breathing and quite well again
#got too emotional over my favourite album again but it's absurd how much this album inspires me#i've been in a deep sea of depression and the brain fog's been quite thick lately#so when i seek for some idea to use as a composition for college or a paper or something related#the writer's block basically vanishes (most of the time) when i get to listen to tbhc#maybe it happens because tbhc has so much of the artist's soul that we can almost touch it and steal a tad of his creativity#but that's just me being slightly poetic#p

#persona 4#p4#persona 4 golden#p4g#hanamura yosuke#yosuke hanamura#souyo#this was an interesting scene for a lot of reasons#for context naoto goes out to take a breather and yu follows with yosuke following behind yu.#yosuke cracks a joke to lighten the mood (something i've already talked about a lot is making jokes is yosuke's fall back to raise morale)#there's 3 things happening here - yosuke opts to go outside with yu to cheer yu up instead of staying in to cheer up the rest of the team#so it kind of implicitly suggests that like it or not yosuke kind of still prioritises yu - that yu is the first person yosuke looks to#but it also comes closely at the heels of that moment in the hospital room with namatame and i think this is very much a scene where#yosuke is testing the waters with his r/s with yu like “hey we're good right” by making a joke so that things btwn them feel normal again#and finally it's something that i don't think even yosuke himself realises - HE is the catalyst to yu's realisation on who the culprit is#yosuke's comment that “the fog's so thick the snow gets lost in it” is reminiscent of the english saying “to hide a tree use a forest”#at least for me anyway - snow and fog are both forms of water that come about during low temperatures#but it's right after this comment that yu made the connection that the culprit was someone else that could hide in the crowd#by blending in in a different manner to namatame#namatame was not noticed because he was a delivery driver and that was a mundane everyday figure#but adachi blended in by being one of many police officers that were present in inaba - in other words the tree in the forest#without realising it yosuke has come in clutch to support yu again - i'm fascinated that it wasn't naoto that deduces it#despite being THE detective and being in this scene#it's the combined work of yosuke and yu#and that they really are better with each other#he's good with his queue
