Mike sheds his summer coat all at once but he still loses a lot of fluff, Illumi uses so many lint rollers it's insane.

Killua and the gang buy random phone numbers on Craigslist to bully Illumi and whenever he gets these texts, he kicks his feet like a little girl.

Silva told all the other Zoldycks not to buy Killua a birthday present so he could seem like the best dad ever and comfort his son when the rest of the family “forgot”

Hisoka finds Illumi’s hair everywhere in his apartment.

Illumi talks about his siblings so much (Especially Killua but that was implied) that sometimes Hisoka feels like he’s dating a single mom.

Illumi loves his mother but secretly feels that he would be a better fit as Killua’s mother despite being a man.

Zeno constantly makes fun of Silva for letting Kikyo dress their sons up as little girls and “Giving in to his woman”

Since the Zoldycks are immune to poisons, Kikyo wears dresses in authentic scheele’s green and to build up tolerance the Zoldycks would give their children toys painted with it.

When Killua was little, Illumi used to just sit on his bed and watch sleep all night; gently stroking his hair every now and then.

Kikyo is manic, she hurts her children and then cries about them being hurt while bandaging them up.

Kikyo’s mood changes rapidly, with Illumi she is jealous of him and berates him half the time and is the most supportive mother the other half.

Not really a headcanon but if Illumi can sharpen his nails like Killua, which I assume he can, I feel bad for Hisoka though he probably enjoys it.

Illumi can crack all his joints and it freaks Milluki out.

The Zoldyck siblings are mad creative with insults.

Hisoka blasts music while getting ready and Illumi smashes dishes to drown out the sound because he thinks Hisoka’s music is trashy.

Illumi has all of his siblings baby teeth in a jar on his nightstand.

One time Gon tried to make his own orange juice but he added salt instead of sugar to it and cried.

Kalluto knows fan language and uses it on Zushi who is absolutely oblivious.

Illumi organizes when he’s stressed but eventually he runs out of things to organize som he goes into Milluki’s room and cleans. Milluki used to get pissed but now he’s found out that he can pretend he did it an only gets slightly annoyed.

Kalluto and Illumi have a long standing game where Kalluto will try to land a hit on Illumi as he goes about his day to day, he’s only be successful four times and usually ends up getting held upside down by his feet.

Hisoka actually has a lot more aura than it seems, he just uses a lot of it on bungee gum to keep his ridiculous outfits in the right places.

Illumi throws pins around his room when he’s bored but it drives Milluki nuts because they share a wall.

HxH Oneshot

Illumi x Fem reader. It's my literal first ever time trying to write for this guy so he's probably ooc here. Shout-out to @bwabys-scenarios for getting me interested in this guy.

If someone had told him a couple months ago that he would fall in love with the MOST unlikely girl that had ever graced his life...He'd have told you to never speak such nonsense to him again, probably would have scoffed, told them they were insane, and dismissed it from memory bank forever. Him, a driven force, a killer even, with a girl like her?? HA! What nonsense...

Or was it?

Not to him right now it wasn't as she kissed him and held his hands and he found himself not fighting against it. What was wrong with him!?

It felt like a two part problem in his mind. On one hand it was as if he was betraying his loyalty to his duties and everything that it stood for, for falling for such a girl. While on the other hand it was a betrayal of his own emotions for denying his affection for her in the first place. He grew weaker by the day, losing sleep over his inner turmoil. It wasn't long before people started to notice, dark circles appearing under his eyes and his usual scowl deepening as his mood worsened. No one dared to actually ask him what was the matter, but he could feel their concerned stares and worried glances. Even so, he held out, pushing thoughts of her away as he tried to go on with his life. Just ignore her, he told himself. He would feel better once he forgot about her. But no matter what she wouldn't leave his mind or him alone. Oh WHY did he have to be plague his existence. He once tried yelling at her to just GO AWAY!! To leave him alone because she didn't need to be anywhere near him....It ended up with him breaking down in the middle of the hallway crying and all those sleepless nights catching up to him finally. His acts were slipping, he was acting like a baby, and it was ALL her fault. She wouldn't listen and go away like some stalker. After that he had passed out from his yelling fit and woken up in her lap due to exhaustion.....And to her crying and holding his hand. Ironic wasn't it.

And he made a noble effort to ever forget about that incident, but it was all for naught.

He reached his tipping point about a month into his rejection to the monster. He was exhausted, eyes sore and bloodshot, and his work still wavering concerning all their superiors. Lost in his thoughts on the way to lunch, he heard a single word. His name. That made him stop in his tracks. His head snapping up in recognition, eyes widening. No! Not her! Not now! The last thing he wanted was the taller she demon to back him against the wall and talk her pretty little head off. He felt like he was suffocating. He barely slept for days. He couldn't take it- The voices were becoming so much his head was going to explode-

"Illumi? You don't look so good."

That was the last thing he heard before he passed out for a second time that month. She had carried him. CARRIED HIM!! HIM!! All the way back home filled with worry. Don't ask him why she didn't just leave him there. If the assassin was just found passed out against the wall it would've been less humiliating than a girl to carry him all the way to his bed where he remained when he woke up and numbly laid there as she went off chattering again. He didn't know what he was thinking when he suddenly exploded at her letting everything out. Maybe it was his frustration? The stress and strain he was feeling from her relentless presence? Maybe the days of little to no sleep? His mind zoned out as he mindlessly yelled at her but he certainly wasn't expecting it to end up with her kissing him and him being compliant to her affections. Leaning into her warmth and all around easing the stress he was always. Good grief what did he say? At one point she pulled away and he attempted to kiss her again which ended embarrassingly thanks to his lesser height laying down which ended up with himself missing her lips and pecking her jawline which sent her beautiful face into giggles and the soft hands cupping his already crying and red face rubbed away at the stressful tears.

"You shouldn't beat yourself over like a little crush. I would've been happy to know either way.Oh. Please don't cry."

He wasn't sure why he felt so assured or comforted right now, but for now he leaned into those soft hands holding him up with the pretty angelic face of his relief.

My opinion about Luffy and the world of one piece.

What does Luffy or One Piece in general mean to you?

I'll start! This is completely my opinion and my personal feelings!

I should start off my saying I am a hard person to please. I'm extremely "picky" with every aspect of my life. For example: I hate it when my food touches, even when I'm eating it. I eat it in order. there are exceptions though. I do like for my collard greens and rice to touch but only if I put them together. I still plate them separately.

It's ridiculous and sooo annoying but its a serious thing for me. It's like trying to swallow a pill. I physically cannot force myself to swallow anything that dont fit those standards.

It's like this for every aspect of my life. Books, movies, JOBS, tv shoes, etc..

the first time I tried watching one piece i turned it off maybe not even a minute after watching the first half of the first episode. I remember seeing nami at a party and her looking out to see the whirlpool and I got the wrong idea about what the anime was about so i swore off it.

Maybe a year later I saw a instagram post. It was basically saying how they didnt understand how they found a pirate story about some kid made of rubber kicking everyone's asses entertaining. I was in disbelief and kind of took it as a challenge. It sounded absolutely ridiculous to me at the time so I gave it another shot.

As soon as Luffy popped out of that barrel knocking one of those guys out saying he'd catch a cold for sleeping right there? I was laughing. ME? LAUGHING? To say I was sold would be an understatement.

Then theres the part where Luffy expresses his dream to be king. It wasnt because of some overused reason like very other anime like childhood trauma. It was because he wanted to. Thats it and thats all. I was blown away. My heart raced with excitement after that speech from luffy and I binged watched the episodes from then on.

I was obsessed. (Still obsessed) Back then I was still in highschool and I was binging the episodes from the moment I woke up, during all my classes and lunch, after school and falling asleep to it.

I think the only anime I binged like that would be HXH another anime I'm still obsessed with.

One of the funniest episodes of one piece for me is 497. I was rewatching the marine ford arc and I was in tears laughing at this episode.

But back to the question!

As a young woman of color? Luffy is a dream to me. Luffy is the perfect mixture of malcom x and MLK. He's what I think the world needs. He's one of a damn kind, there is NO character like him or story like one piece PERIOD and there's no amount of hate from naruto fans that'll make that less true.

The only character that is unafraid of crying, laughing, fucking up, tripping up in front of friends and enemies alike.

insanely selfish but he's strong. He can have his friends, hell he can make new friends and have them ALL by his side or far away from him. All alive and fucking thriving, why? because he fucking said so. He's strong in more ways than one. He has that luxury.

He's unafraid of asking for help. He has never once acted as though everyone else is beneath him and he can do everything by himself.

Gets pissed when he finds his vest with flowers sewed into it, wanting to be a manly man but unbothered at eating all the love themed food sanji makes specifically for nami and robin.

He has asked forced Pirate Hunter Zoro to join his crew? Nah thats just zoro his best friend and the guy who ate stomped out sand covered chocolate rice balls out of respect for the little girl he saved from Helmeppo.

Cat burglar nami? Nami the navigator. Her maps and weather skills are unreal!

Sniper king the liar? Yup but he's a damn good sharpshooter.

Black Leg/ Vinsmoke Sanji isnt he apart of a family of comicbook villians? Thats just Sanji! One of the best chefs in the world!

Tony Tony Chopper the raccoon dog that happens to be a doctor? Oh no thats chopper. Our crews miracle treasure. He's a talking reindeer monster.

The demon child is on your crew? Huh? Demon child? You can't mean robin! She's a good friend of mine and she's an archeologist! I'd have to kick your ass if you think otherwise! :D

Cyborg Franky? Oh yeah I couldnt take the sunny without him! They're a package deal!

The humming swordsman? Oh you mean brook! He's a talking, singing afro skeleton not to mention hilarious! The part about him being a sword-swinging musician was just a plus!

The first son of the sea jinbei...A fishman? Hell yeah! He's THE fishman! Jinbei is a good friend of mine and the 10th member I've been looking for!

Luffy's crew is a dumpster fire of diversity. That right there is rare within itself. I mean it's a Japanese show, yet most of the main characters aren't japanese! They originate from a little bit of everywhere across the globe!

They all look different and act different. They are all flawed and yet Luffy accepts them with open fucking arms with his TRADEMARKED grin nearly splitting his face in half!

Speaking of accepting them! Luffy is always overjoyed when reuniting with his crew. Jumping to give them hugs, screaming his hellos, jumping up and down, lunging forward to give them hugs, and waving with excitement at the sight of his friends.

I mean Luffy is unfucking matched. Even his voice is one of a kind and so fucking satisfying for his dialogue??

Two of my favorite quotes from Luffy are:

"I'm kicking your ass and wrecking your birdcage."

"Speak up for yourself, aren't you the leader of these guys? SAY SOMETHING ALREADY!"

Luffy's very name holds mind-melting weight.

I just recently found out that his brother ace was the one that came up with "Gum gum Rocket." Something I'm now pissed at OPLA for giving Garp the credit of.

Luffy as a captain doesnt do major plans or specific orders. He says something and his crew either follows along or finds their own objective for example the punk hazard arc when law asked luffy if he was going to leave his crew on the island to do what they said they wanted to do and leave with him to fight kaido.

Luffy refused saying if his crew was staying to get their own things done then so was he and that Law had to get used to it quick.

Luffy is freedom in physical form. There one second and gone the next. Something that gave Law heart palpitations.

ALSO SCREW YOU LAW FOR TELLING CHOPPER TO SHUT UP WHEN HE TOLD YOU BYE IN WANO!

Luffy has no rhyme or reason for doing things the way he does other than the fact that thats just who he is. Something that only Zoro and Robin TRULY understand. Chopper understood this recently, just before the time-skip.

For example when big mom assumed luffy was there in wano to pick a fight with kaido and luffy denied it sternly.

confusing everyone around him including nami and carrot.

He went onto say everyone not only responsible but associated would be getting their asses kicked.

And thats EXACTLY what happened.

Zoro wasnt even there for that and he was already cutting the majority of their members in half.

MIND YOU. LUFFY AND HIS CREW DIDNT PLAN ANYTHING. NOR WERE THEY AWARE OF THAT PLAN. ALL THEY HAD WERE DISGUISES AND THEIR WITTS.

You'd think that with every plan luffy screws up they'd be major consequences? NOPE bc he's stronger than that. Everyone else would have to adapt or get their asses kicked.

jinbei fought with luffy in the fishman island arc. not wanting luffy to make matters worse, instead wanting him to be seen as a hero to which luffy refused saying he's not a hero and that he had to get to his friends... until jinbei said and i quote. "Luffy, I'll let you have all the meat you want! Just do as I say!"

To which luffy agreed after a few more pleas.

friends and enemies are one in the same to him.

You want to hit him? Fine he doesnt care. but Lie to him? He's about to shove his foot up your ass.

You want to take credit for his wins unless your law or kid? Hell yeah! Couldn't have done it without you!

You want to defend him? Dont bother. This is his business. Stay the hell out of it.

You want to cry? Suck it up! Crying wont fix anything so get the fuck up and do something about it already!

You want to ask him for help? Sure! Anything! As long as you're the right person asking!

You want to call him a hero? Literally might knock your lights out.

You want to put him down in history and tell everyone what he and his crew did? Don't bother he's not interested.

I mean the list goes on and on. I can talk about luffy and one piece for HOURS and never get bored.

Luffy is a dream to me. I tear up thinking about him and wishing to be apart of that world for even a day.

Thats what Luffy means to me.

vernon — mob from mob psycho 100! i feel like they both have this very fun and kind energy to them but they're both on the quite side too! cares a lot about the people around them and is maybe a little awkward at times but literally the sweetest and understanding souls ever

chan — nishinoya from haikyuu! both are so talented and so good at what they do but also so bright and fun and literally brings up the mood of everyone around them (also kiki from kiki's delivery service. i feel like they're both so talented and were thrust into a big big world from a young age and worked really hard to navigate through it, made friends along the way and !! does this make sense ?!)

I watched hunter x hunter waaaay back when and Ive been on the fence about trying it again now that they've done a shiny new one. I don't remember much about it tbh, except the creepy clown dude, but it does look very good in the gifs you reblog. What draws you to it, and what keeps you coming back?

I haven't seen the 1999 anime, nor do I care to because I'm not a fan of the animation style, so this is all relating to the 2011 anime + some of the manga.

Unrelated but interesting note Togashi is married to Naoko Takeuchi, and I just find this infinitely amusing as a Sailor Moon fan.

Now I wasn't really expecting much from Hunter x Hunter when I started it, which was at the recommendation of @cursedwithgloriouspurpose and we watched it together after she moved up here last year.

It starts off as a pretty quintessential shonen anime, following Gon who is 12 and oddly powerful and going to become a professional "Hunter" in his world... who are basically super powerful (and marginally insane) people who have a "I can do what I want" license. He wants to do this to follow in his father's footsteps and possibly find him, since his dad left Gon with his aunt when he was a baby and never came back (fuck Gon's dad).

They have specialties and track dangerous/rare beasts, dangerous people, treasures... just like shit "normal" people can't or won't. There are villains. There's something called "nen" which gives you like super powers.

The test to become a Hunter is incredibly difficult for multiple reasons, and the first arc is Gon's progression through the Hunter Exams.

It's very shonen and fun. Gon makes friends with three other people taking the exam: Kurapika, Leorio, and Killua. Who all have their own reasons for becoming Hunters. Being: revenge. to make money to become a doctor. and just cuz lol.

The story progresses out of the hunter exams, to an arc about Killua and his family, to finding Gon's dad and following a test he left for Gon, to other things that are best experienced rather than explained.

WHAT I LOVE about HxH and what keeps drawing me back is how at face value early on it's your average shonen BUT once we start to get into the story you see how much Togashi set out to subvert usual shonen tropes.

Gon is reckless and brash, as most shonen protags are (think Goku from DBZ and Luffy from One Piece, he fits with them quite well in a lot of ways), he cares deeply for his friends, and I suppose if you took him at face value could be considered a "boy scout" type.

HOWEVER, the story shows time and time again the consequences for Gon's selfishness, how that affects himself and those around him (especially his best friend, Killua). The way Togashi delves into the tropes and explores them is very refreshing. He gets into a lot of very deep topics and deals with them in a nuanced way that you don't see in a lot of media.

Gon is shown in a negative light at times - not just in a "you fucked up" or "you failed" kind of way, but in legitimately detrimental and often hurtful way. He's shown at first to be careless when it comes to his own safety because of his stubborn pride, and then the safety of those closest to him. At his core Gon is selfish, and that can lead to some disastrous things.

The show gets REALLY heavy in the later arcs, and deals with a lot of heavy emotions and ideas and continues to do it so well. SO WELL. I cannot fully explain how much I love the nuance of this show.

I want to say more, but I don't want to spoil things if y'all do watch it.

Just know that this show surprised me, engaged me, and also totally ruined me in all the best ways possible.

Sorry to be talking about hxh on main again after all these years but i’m going slightly insane after the last update. After years of writing about how i believed the Kurta clan has been murdered probably because of the D-Hunter book Sheila had given Kurapika (this post more or less have the outline of the theory in it), while at this point we didn’t know anything about Sheila, the last chapter just. 

Showed that Sheila was a childhood friend of the Phantom Troupe???? That she was already reading the D-Hunter book then????

It’s not “theory confirmed” at all, at least not yet, but it’s at least setting pieces in a position that fits this theory again i’m going insane.

the other theory of the post i linked is also disproven this chapter re: regarding Sharlnark, but i don’t really care much about this part of the theory i linked, i’m just, only focusing on the book. I’ve been arguing for years that the Troupe must have attacked the village because of Sheila and the Book and the new chapter really just say “well, they DID know each other...? <3″ at me. Excuse me.

anyway i was just reminded by chance. my strongest religious experience last year was rewatching a large chunk of hxh 99. something about the way the hunters exam was adapted was so perfect. i feel like the perfect hxh is probably 99's exam arc and its handling of heaven's arena (namely the slice of life elements with gon and killua they added) stitched into 2011. like of course

its not really a hipster or boomer thing, i still like 2011 a lot especially later on in its run, but the lack of atmosphere early on if my mind remembers to think about it is a mood killer. but its very easy to binge... both adaptations have their merits. though 99's adaptation nails perfectly what i thought the hunters exam should feel like when reading the manga. it is without peer... its just what hxh FEELS like in terms of atmosphere. (which 2011 eventually catches up with, the well articulated atmosphere and direction... tho 99's sound design is also insanely good)

i think though aside from megumi han's gon being biblical canon to me forever, 99's cast was much more fitting. the acting culture was so different at that time though

He regrets many things, keeps count of every wrong decision and remembers them when sleep fails to take him, yet he will never regret yielding to the panicked instinct of reaching for a random weapon (any weapon, as long as it could help him to survive another day.) and closing his fingers around the handle of a knife.

That had been pure impulse, yet the decision to strike his opponent down had been entirely his own.

Abhorrent, he knows, but his new friends had been impressed, after all. And what's worse than dying? Nothing. Even almost-dying-but-not-quite would be better. He would do anything just to keep going.

And he does, with a spider sprawled upon his heart and perhaps a bit more blood on his hands than he would have wanted.

Kite may not have met his 'saviour' and his birthplace remains as unknown as ever, but he did find a safe place in the Phantom Troupe, which would later become the closest he would have to a family and a home.

And he would never regret living to finally find a place he could belong to.

I saw your requests were open and I don't know if you would write for him or not, but could you do Yandere Hanzo from HxH kidnaping his s/o right after the hunter exam and taking her back home with him?

I know his character would possibly amputate her or something so she couldn't leave but for some reason that kind of amputation creeps me out. It's fine if he talks about it or threatens it but actually amputating a limb I can't handle, so if you go that route with it could you leave out any actual amputation? I'm sorry, I can handle most things but for some reason amputation is not one of them😅

I don’t know too much about Hanzo, but this is all based on what I think from the few episodes i’ve seen him in xx

Now I don't know too much about Hanzo, but considering the fact that he had to go through an insane amount of training his entire life and his training schedule probably didn't leave him with much time to socialise.

So when he does find someone with whom he could open up a bit more, on a deeper level really, he'd be inclined to make sure that relationship/feeling of being able to connect with someone would last forever.

Owing to his impressive skills, his s/o would never really know what hit them until they find themselves in an isolate location after a seemingly normal walk back to their apartment.

For some reason, I see him as the take it before it goes away type and he would try to make the relationship progress fairly quick and it would be at a pace he would see fit. His s/o wouldn't really have much of a say in it, he'd expect complete compliance or he wouldn't really understand why his s/o won't get it.

With that being said, he wouldn't be the type to push his s/o too much. I'm a little conflicted about it, but I do think he'd try quite a bit, but then he'd take a step back so as to not scare them away too much.

He would appreciate it if his s/o is strong willed and goal orientated because he'd admire their resolve. He wouldn't necessarily work to diminish it, but would want it to be under his control.

Hanzo wouldn't be above threatening his s/o like you said. Its a mix between how he's spent his life (doesn't really see threatening someone as a bad thing to do because he's must've been threatened during his training days so its kinda normal for him) and how he doesn't want them to leave him ever.

If his s/o does try to escape he won't hesitate to threaten them or maybe even punish them as he see's fit.

Taking all of this into consideration, he isn't really a bad person, he actually does have a soft side and would feel bad about it, but wouldn't show it because to him, that may be a sign of weakness.

He may listen to his s/o about what they like and how they hope to make peace with the situation considering if certain things would change and would actually try to amend those said changes slowly, but if their s/o tries escaping after he worked hard to make them happy, then he’d threaten them/ isolate (?) them until he’s certain they’d never try to do so ever again.

Also, i’d like to add the fact that I don’t think he’s delusional. Its just the way he’s been trained (can expect a lot from ninja training) that makes him unable to fully understand what’s too harsh and what’s not.
