Um, I am NOT a rat thank you very much?! (Rude, and rats/mice are awsome by the way) and I was out of the orphnage and on the streets long before I met her, and we met after I very succsefully sotle her pocket watch (she totally didnt catch me right away, why would you ever think that?) and I've been her favorite protege ever since!

OOC: Just to be clear, Im not sure if this is all canon by thefansvat7k project (i really need to try and join the discord) so this is just one of my headcannons

So fan fact, in this time Varian’s dad is out of the rock. Varian still hasn’t seen him yet though. Though Andrew acted like a parental figure in the eclipse world (if I continue this comic this will be expanded upon.)

Also Hugo is like Varian’s partner in crime, they got sent to the eclipse world at the about the same age and made a pact that they would not ask a single question their past life on earth. So neither of them know what crime the other one did to get there, so each of them have made their own assumptions.

Nuru is also a particularly close friend of Varian, who tends to ground him. While the Saporians know they r friends, Varian keeps there friendship a bit more secretive from them, because they would totally abuse the power of him being friends with a princess.

(Nuru’s whole kingdom got stuck in the eclipse world)

one of my (Not varigo) vat7k headcanons is that nuru, varian and hugo despite not being like, the Same sizes (Duh) sometimes will swap clothes between each other on the trip. Its mostly just out of convenience, since they can only keep so much luggage, but sometimes its a form of affection. This is much later in the journey, ofc, since early on nuru and hugo would rather kill themselves than even touch each other, but at a certain point they become pretty chill w it

Its all pretty basic stuff, like varian and nuru borrowing each others dress shirts if one is dirty, varian/nuru lending hugo a coat or a warm sweater, or even just stealing stuff solely to piss each other off….Stuff like that

However….yong, being the one outlier as the short, fat kid obviously….Cant fit any of the others clothes. And a lot of his clothes are too short on them, so for the most part hes just left out, and although he tries to play it cool, its obvious hes Really embarrassed about this and that it bugs him a lot.

Hugo ends up one day taking note of this and feels bad, so he takes one of his old vests thats maybe a little too short for him or just smthn he doesnt mind getting rid of, and for the next few weeks spends a lot of his spare time altering it. she doesnt measure anything bc she wants it to be a surprise, but yongs other clothes end up being a pretty good reference. since shes just using whatever scraps she has on hand, it ends up being a little sloppy and having a square on the back of like this weird patchwork design LOL….But yong of course is absolutely DELIGHTED by this. He keeps that fucking thing forever even after hes long grown out of it 😭😭😭

I am learning book binding IMMEADIATLY!!!

Ulla's journal? Not quite.  The best fanfiction in this fandom? Absolutely.

You already know how in love I am with the fanfic "Varian's Tangled Trials" by @/IFoundYouJustineTime and @/TheArtistsMuse on ao3 (aka @i-found-you-justine-time and @theartistswings) aaaaand to honour it I tried to make it into a real book (with permission from the creators of course). I started this project months ago but finally finished it last week. Turns out bookbinding is a lot more time consuming than I expected. Still, I'm really happy with the outcome & had lots of fun adding all the details like the fanart that I made either especially for the fic or that just fit the scenes, the maps, notes, little doodles on the chapter titles etc. This really was such a passion project and omg am I happy it's done. It will get a very special place on my bookshelf for sure!!

(Also let's just pretend I posted this on Varian's birthday, yeah? ok great, thanks!!)
