Do you hate doing the fire trial and want an easier way through? Are you interested in learning the shortcut? Have you seen videos but want a text/photo version for easier reference? Then keep reading and I’ll give you a guide!
The first step is to go through the first section of the trial, until you’re at the first exit. There is no way to skip this that I know of, but there are none of the shadow creatures in this section, so it shouldn’t be too difficult. Eventually, you’ll reach this ramp at the end:
Instead of going up this ramp as usual, look a bit to the right, where there’s a space in the wall. Go into this gap and then spam jump up the left side of it.
Once you reach the top, go forward until you’re on the rock sharply pointing out.
Across from the rock you’re on is a ledge that you’ll have to jump onto. This jump is a bit difficult, so you might have to try multiple times. I find it helpful to jump a few more times while I’m in the air, in order to jump onto the ledge if I miss it slightly. The ledge should be in the general location of the circle here:
Don’t be discouraged if it takes many tries! It gets much easier with practice.
Once you’re there, jump on this rock to the right. Go carefully, it’s easy to fall off again!
After that, all you need to do is carefully walk forward until you reach the crack in the rock I’ve shown in the picture. Then, spam jump to the top.
Now we’ve hit the mobile image limit, so I’ll explain the next part in the reblogs. The rest of the shortcut is much easier!
My first impression of the fire trial - a sky children of the light adventure
This happened before the fire trial came out at the beginning of season of prophecy, back then my friends didn’t have sky, but we imagined a whole super cool fire trial that looked like hell with red and fire and all.
When the fire trial opened, it turned out to be a black ball, at first sight, I was so deceived 😔 we expected too much anyways, but fire trial is still so cool 👍
After a long time, I got in the mood to do the trials! I finally filled out my map and actually had a great run. The last bit of stone only took me two tries, I had some miracle landings in air, and fire was actually doable again! There was only one little part where I had to call to find the next candle. It was fun again!
In Ancient Athens they had things called ostracons. Basically every year everyone would carve a name of someone they didn't like into a small stone tablet and then submit it. Then they would look at all of the ostracons and if there were too many of one person then they told that person to get tf out. They had ten days to flee Athens and couldn't come back for ten years.
So now I would like you to imagine Dionysus doing a pseudo version of this at Camp Half-blood every month because we all know he LIVES for the drama. (He's stuck there for a hundred years he might as well have some fun)
He would hand out stone tablets (it was very important to him that the names were carved don't ask why) and every person at camp would write a name.
Whoever had their name written down the most would be sent to live in a cabin in the woods for two weeks. If they survived they would be allowed to return to camp.
Mr. D always makes sure there's a crowd around to witness their walk of shame and he takes a picture of said person every month. He keeps them hung up on a wall in the big house.
