Demon Carnotaurus is the one in Dominion named after the Kenner figure.
I assume this list is speculation, because it's all Viable Candidates with no real surprises: Buck and Doe because they're in Dominion and we might see them. Most of those because the models exist. Major's in the toy line. Pierce is also modeled. Anywhere they can save some money by bringing back a dinosaur we know, they'll do it.
Possible species list for Chaos Theory season 2, and I just wanna say, WHAT THE FUCK IS A DEMON CARNOTAURUS⁉️ ALSO PIERCE‼️‼️ IF PIERCE IS MAKING A COMEBACK…THAT MEANS BBG MAE MIGHT TOO ‼️‼️
#jurassic world#chaos theory#jwct#maybe spoilers?#but I don't think so?#highly doubt metri's gonna show up#I think it's also in the end of Fallen Kingdom#iirc#pretty sure Lockwood Carno and the Malta Carno are the same specimen

What's the worst legacy sequel you've ever seen? What, in your opinion, separates a good legacy sequel from a bad legacy sequel and what's the worst thing you think a legacy sequel can do?
The worst that I've seen is probably Rise of Skywalker. It's close competition, though - both Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World: Dominion have moments that are significantly more stupid than anything in Rise of Sky Walker, but I also think both have a bit more creative effort put into them - Fallen Kingdom has that third act where it basically becomes a Resident Evil adaptation except with a murder-saurus in place of the Tyrant, and Dominion has the whole locust plotline which, while terrible, is at least an unexpected direction for a Jurassic Park sequel to go into that tries to figure out something ELSE you could do with the genetic engineering premise of the franchise beyond just making dinosaurs. Like, all three Jurassic World movies have big problems and they get progressively dumber with each installment, but they're also all ambitious to some degree that I still feel respect for, even if they never really actually reach those lofty aspirations.
Rise of Skywalker, on the other hand, has no ambitions at all. It has nothing it wants to say, no unique twists to pull, no real identity of its own. It's a potroast made of leftovers from better movies, a resuscitated corpse of something much more interesting, patched together like a Frankenstein's monster and abandoned to a cruel world just as callously.
It has no desire to do anything new, merely a checklist of Things You've Seen Before That the Focus Groups Say You'd Probably Like to See Again. Any character that can be slipped into an arc that was done in a previous Star Wars film is slipped into one no matter how little sense it makes for them, and any character who can't is either forced to tread water with nothing to do (hi Finn!) or just quietly shoved off to the side early on and forgotten about (hi Rose!).
Any story beats that weren't in the original films are simply grabbed from a box that reads "time tested cliches to keep your script moving with minimal effort." Make the plot a treasure hunt so we can just race from scene to scene with the flimsiest justification possible and try and trick the audience into thinking something is actually happening! What's that, audience interest is flagging? Quick, throw in a cameo of someone from an older movie! What's that, they're bored again? Pretend to kill one of the old characters, but make sure to reveal they actually lived in no more than two scenes down the line, or else we might piss off the fanboys! Hey, let's look at the Cinema Sins videos for the original movies and see if there's some gripes we can "fix" with this one for added fan cred! Can't disappoint our audience!
It's the story-telling equivalent of smothering something in salt to cover up the funky taste of the close-to-the-expiration-date ingredients.
As for what makes a good vs. a bad legacy sequel... ok, so, let's define legacy sequel first. A legacy sequel is a film or TV show that is a sequel to a popular film or TV series that ended a good many years ago, which brings back some of the old cast of characters (generally played by the same, and thus much older, actors that played them in the past) along with adding a new cast of characters played by younger actors. It tries to replicate the tone of the original series despite being made in a different era and probably by different writers and directors, and generally aims to give you that Ratatouille style moment of nostalgia.
I think most Legacy sequels are kind of doomed to be mediocre at best on the outset because the goal of them from the moment of conception is so mercenary - they're not created to Tell A Good Story, they're created to Keep Consumers Invested in a Lucrative Content Franchise. They have the artistic aspirations of a McDonald's Hamburger - "This tastes exactly like what you had as a kid, and doesn't that make you crave more of it?"
I don't think that art made for mercenary reasons is doomed to be bad, mind you - I mean, almost ALL movies and television were made to make money first and foremost. Even the classic High Art movies I love like Seven Samurai and The Third Man were made for mercenary reasons at the end of the line - it didn't stop the people who were working on them from having artistic goals, but it's a fact nonetheless.
But Legacy Sequels just have an uphill battle in the "artistic aspirations" department, because most people with artistic aspirations don't want to recreate the feeling someone else inspired with their art - they want to put their own stamp on it, their own spin, their own voice. And that will often mean something VERY different will be made, something that might piss of the fans - something that doesn't taste like the McDonald's hamburger you had as a kid, even though it came in the same wrapper.
The worst parts of Legacy Sequels are the only parts that Rise of Skywalker is made of - the parts where the story is clearly only trying to show you things you know, only trying to reheat the leftovers so they taste like your memories, only trying to trick the nostalgia center of your brain that you're four years old again eating at McDonald's. "Here's the thing you know! Here's the running gag you liked, repeated five more times by actors with far less enthusiasm! Here's the same basic premise as the first film, but the stakes have been inflated to make it feel like a progression! Cameos! Catch phrases! Eat your hamburger, you consumer pig!"
The rare good legacy sequels don't really TRY to be legacy sequels. They're just... sequels. Another story in the same world as the first, bringing back the characters who actually have interesting arcs left in them, creating new characters with their own shit going on who have good chemistry with the pre-established characters and setting, expanding on themes from the original and exploring parts of the setting that hadn't been explored yet, and all in all telling their own story that's related to the first one's but still manages to be its own distinct thing.
There are not many good legacy sequels, because a good legacy sequel is different than the McDonald's hamburger you ate when you were four, and might make less money than desired because of it.

I feel like the wasted potential of the dearing/grady family isn’t talked about enough. Like…if you want us to worry about the main characters maybe give us a reason to? It makes me so damn angry to know that we will probably never see them again
yeah, i think about this constantly in terms of how they were handled in dominion. the arcs just don't feel... complete. it's like the story just ended in the middle which leaves a very hollow and unsatisfied feeling. the bonus material is okay, but it doesn't make up for what dominion should have included.
for one, claire is all about her jobs. jurassic world was her life, then the dpg was her life, and then saving dinosaurs vigilante style was her life. she has that talk with ellie but... then what? does she take it to heart and get a job at a restaurant? does she not listen and continue risking her life? yay, she's happy with her family. but what else, you know. she's so much more than just a mother, but thats really all dominion gives her after the first act.
it's more understandable if maisie doesn't have a completed arc because that means she can come back, but her whole mother plotline was so messy and rushed. her mother created her so that means she no longer has problems with being a clone??? it fundamentally solves none of her inner issues. she's still not "her own person" in the traditional sense and will grow into a mirror image of someone else. and it's just so dismissive of the adoptive family we're supposed to be rooting for. her issues are solved through realizing her biological family loved her, not her adoptive family. when maisie says "it's my parents" it just feels hollow because... she hasn't spoken about them once? and she's actively more interested in her biological mother than the one who's been raising her...? i feel like even one scene talking about her adoptive parents could've made it feel more earned. but it doesn't feel earned at all.
owen i can understand more because he... doesn't exactly have a lot going for him. fallen kingdom kind of wraps him up. he's like their houseplant in dominion. which is a problem of its own, but it's whatever. but it's really weird how they didn't give him more to say with the whole "they're using my research in the dinosaur mafia now" thing.
anyways i'm very normal and well adjusted about them

Chaos Theory Thoughts:
Episode 1
I like the intro, a recreation of a deleted Dominion scene where Rexy disrupts traffic. Surely she'll appear in the show proper at some point? Wouldn't be surprised if they're contractually obligated to put her in every Jurassic World product.
I cannot stress enough that this is just the ideal aesthetic. Dinosaur footprints creating potholes in an asphalt road that a truck has to avoid. This kind of casual urban anachronistic prehistory is my entire jam, I want to live in a world where Sauropods block traffic.
I like that Pachyrhinosaurus gets the obligatory "wow" moment this time around. It's a fine if unremarkable design, but it's really nice to see in the flesh after the little screen in Fallen Kingdom name dropped it as one of the species taken off the island.
One thing I already prefer about Chaos Theory over Camp Cretaceous is that everyone is a fully fledged adult. It tugs on the heart strings to see them grow and I always just feel a bit more comfortable connecting with characters around my age. Darius worked with the DPW in that four year gap between the end of CC and now. Is it bad that I wish we got to see that instead? The "getting wrapped up in illegal trafficking" plot is nice and all but I desperately just want an episodic series of the DPW dealing with dinos.
Kinda hate this scene, not gonna lie. The franchise's dead-set insistence on treating every herbivore as a harmless cow is a teeth grinding pet peeve. Yeah, go up to a wild agitated elephant and pull a thorn out of its foot, you absolutely won't get popped like a grape.
Allosaurus vs Pachyrhinosaurus. I like that the Allo is pretty outmatched, and it runs away after taking a couple smacks to the ribs. The franchise can forget that carnivores have survival instincts at times. Plus we get to up the score to 3-0 for Ceratopsians against Theropods!
A fun twist on a franchise trope, now it's the car chasing the dinosaur!
I like the themes of drifting away from old friends and the loss of relationships over time. The writers understood that it's a big time jump, the characters have grown up, to use that to drive the emotion is... surprisingly mature.
I adore this scene, as Ben's antics and rant in the dead of the night begin to illuminate the danger they're in before he's vindicated by an ominous shadow in the window, gives me chills.
Enter the Atrociraptor. Unfortunately they don't quite live up to the tension, the attack in the cabin is just a bit too contrived. They're loud and smash into everything like they're half blind, victims of falling bookshelves and railing on stairs. Very clumsy assassins.

IAN MALCOLM IS CONFIRMED TO BE RETURNING IN JURASSIC WORLD 4
to be honest i feel a little relieved, but god i hope it's not for a short little cameo like in fallen kingdom. i hope he has more of a role. especially with how he's going to take biosyn down, with the ending of dominion (and what's happening in chaos theory) there's so many possibilities of what could happen, so the plot of "some teens and adults get stuck on an island with dinosaurs" is just..... ehhhhhhhhhh???? why??? why do we need a whole new cast? and another movie about people stuck on an island? i'm so attached to everyone, and i'm gonna be so pissed if they never come back. i think the plot is extremely vague on purpose, there has to be more to it.
listen, i might be extremely hopeful, it might be unlikely... but maybe... maybe the side plot will be about ian. i could see him trying to discreetly help the new gang somehow, without getting his hands too dirty. he's sneaky like that. with how vague the plot is, we have no idea why or how they even got on a new island with dinosaurs, or if it might be isla sorna, we don't know what company is behind it, could even be an entirely new one. maybe one of the new cast members is a journalist secretly helping ian.
yes it's almost 5 am and i'm kinda stoned but i just read a brand new article confirming his return and i need to talk about it or i'm going to explode. ALSO, sadly there are still no official teasers yet. hopefully we'll get one by the end of the summer or maybe in the fall, considering the release date is just next year.
honestly i have absolutely no idea what to expect with the upcoming movie and it's worrying given how secretive the production has been, and how soon the release date is. there's still no official teasers and we don't even know the title yet. i really hope this isn't going to be a letdown, because dominion is honestly my favorite jurassic world so far and i don't want them to throw all of that away.
#ian malcolm is my beautiful wife#my babygirl... come back to me#i love bad bitches thats my fuckin problem#tbh i don't think he got enough scenes in dominion#i also hope we get at least a MENTION of alan and ellie#cuz ellie's up to some COOL SHIT AND I NEED TO KNOW MORE#like i know dominion was supposed to be a happy ending BUT OMGGG I WANNA KNOW WHAT THEY'RE UP TO NEXT#i miss you owen and claire... it hurts knowing y'all aren't coming back this time :(#jurassic park#jurassic world#jurassic park franchise#jurassic world 4#jurassic world dominion#jurassic world chaos theory#jwct#jeff goldblum#ian malcolm

Question for dinotmblr.
This 6 year time jump... where are we putting it? Cause I had the campers at 24, 23, 22, 21 respectfully. I have chaos theory taking place this year in 2024 because camp cretaceous/jurassic world was in 2015. Then it's known the campers were on the island for nearly a year (2016) and I think it's safe to say they all had a birthday so 1 more year older. Then the time jump at the end of season 5 which indicates the events of fallen kingdom (2018). So now they'd be 3 years older from when we first saw them right??
I just need to know from when is this 6 year time jump actually taking place?!!
#i need to know how old my children are 😭#jurassic world chaos theory#jurassic world#chaos theory#jwct#camp cretaceous#jwcc#darius bowman#brooklynn#ben pincus#sammy gutierrez#yasmina fadoula#yaz fadoula#kenji kon#yasammy

The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997, Steven Spielberg)
19/03/2024
The Lost World: Jurassic Park is a 1997 film directed by Steven Spielberg, sequel to Jurassic Park and inspired by the novel The Lost World by Michael Crichton.
The franchise continued with Jurassic Park III (2001), Jurassic World (2015), Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) and Jurassic World Dominion (2022).
Four years have passed since the dramatic events at Jurassic Park. Professor Ian Malcolm, one of the survivors, is contacted again by the now ex-head of InGen, John Hammond, and informed that Isla Nublar, the place where the park stood, was in reality just a showcase for tourists. In fact, the prehistoric creatures were actually created on nearby Isla Sorna, the so-called "Site B" where, following the destruction of the fences caused by the hurricane called Clarissa, they were able to escape from their cages and live undisturbed without the whole world knowing, but now the target of her greedy and corrupt nephew, Peter Ludlow, eager to plunder her to recreate a "city Jurassic Park" in San Diego. At first Malcolm, knowing the very high risks, declines the proposal but, discovering that his girlfriend, the paleontologist Sarah Harding, has already gone to the place, he decides to leave immediately to bring her back, aided by the photographer Nick Van Owen and the engineer Eddie Carr.
Not long after Peter Ludlow, together with a team of hunters led by Roland Tembo, arrives on Isla Sorna to begin the capture of some dinosaurs and in particular, an adult male specimen of Tyrannosaurus rex.
After a day's march, Dieter Stark, Tembo's deputy, loses his life in the jungle, devoured alive by the small Compsognathus and that same night the camp is attacked by T-Rexes, attracted by the smell of the puppy's blood left impregnated on the jacket by Sarah. In the general escape, the hunting team crosses an expanse of tall grass falling victim to an ambush by seven Velociraptors; despite this, Ian, Sarah, Nick and Kelly manage to reach the communications center, where Nick requests reinforcements from the mainland while the others have to deal with the Raptors.
Jeff Goldblum is Professor Ian Malcolm: a mathematician expert in chaos theory. He is, together with Hammond (and with the exception of the children, who only appear in a brief cameo), the only main character from the first chapter to also reappear in the sequel. At the end of the first film, Malcolm managed to escape from Isla Nublar, and during these four years he revealed the facts of Jurassic Park to the public.
Julianne Moore is Dr. Sarah Harding, Ian Malcolm's girlfriend.

I love the Jurassic Park franchise, yes even the Jurassic World movies but if they actually go through with another movie (given the info we have), I will simply end myself.
Firstly, I just think Jurassic City is a stupid name.
Secondly, Dominion pretty much wrapped up everything for the major reoccurring characters, even from the first fucking movie, so they'll probably be doing what they did with Jurassic World and essentially jumping to a different point in time & focus in the universe, which will be a lot to keep up with given that while yes, Jurassic World did the same thing with introducing a essentially whole new cast of characters (with the exceptions of Dr Ian Malcolm and Dr Henry Wu) up until Dominion where they then had everybody from the franchise in the past come together, Jurassic World came out FOURTEEN YEARS after Jurassic Park 3. Yes it was a sequel but it was overall meant to mostly be an introduction to the franchise to a whole new generation of watchers, whereas Dominion came out in 2022 and this new movie is supposedly going to come out in like 2025 or something, that is objectively too close together for movies to be released when they are meant to be a part of the same franchise but you are switching to a completely brand new cast of characters because all you are going to do is isolate the audience who fell in love with the previously existing characters from not that many years ago!!
Thirdly, they're supposedly looking at Scarlet Johansson for the lead, which no hate to her, but honestly can we please work on, oh idk, discovering new actors?? People love that shit!!
Fourthly, kinda jumping back to point 2 and adding onto point 3, while yes, Chaos Theory, the sequel series to Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous has been confirmed to come out this year, as far as we know it's a spin off and we only have confirmation about ONE main character returning and honestly??
I'd rather see a prequel-sequel that's meant to be set between Fallen Kingdom and Dominion focusing on the Nublar Six, how they react and overall just a movie that actually acknowledges just how fucked and terrifying the world of Jurassic Park actually is, plus as much as people might scream that it'll be "forced diversity" a live action movie involving the Nublar Six would open the door to see an absolutely amazing diverse cast of actors that we either don't really see at all or especially diversity that we don't see on screen together ya know??
I know that may be kind of counterproductive to part of my argument in point 2 about how switching to a new cast of characters might be confusing but a lot of people who know of Jurassic world have seen or have some context of Camp Cretaceous and therefore it wouldn't be switching to a whole new cast that is never actually been introduced because it has been very formally introduced.
Also can we please get a check in on Zach and Gray??
(Also also totally not asking cuz I wanna see Bumpy find Ben after being taken to the mainland... What...)

Popular misconception: The core Jurassic Park is about dinosaurs. It's not. It's about this guy...
It's easy to think that, given how every movie centered around the prehistoric creatures. I mean, the title is JURASSIC Park or World. Heavy emphasis on dinosaurs.
But if one was to look at the entirety of the franchise, even go as far as reading the novels, Jurassic Park seems more focused on the chaos. Cause and effect. Complex systems failing. Unpredictability.
Kind of sounds like a certain scientist now, doesn't it? In the first film, Ian Malcolm makes a speech in the nursery. While the speech is triggered by the raptor, it's not about the newborn or any other animal. He speaks on genetic power.
Ian tells how the hubris exhibited by the staff and John Hammond is a fallacy because manipulating genetics at Henry Wu's level is an untested field with unforeseen consequences. The dinosaurs are more than teeth here, they are variables. And variables can skew data.
While we see the dinosaurs running around eating people, the main narrative is summed up nicely in a popular quote from, yes, Ian; "Life finds a way."
No matter how many fences are put up or how many gene sequence gaps get filled, nature always wins. We see this with the natural repopulation by the dinosaurs in the wild. We see this even with the ending: nature handling nature as the Rex kills the Raptors. They are variables settling as the status quo shifts.
Where am I going with this? Jurassic World Dominion.
One of the biggest complaints I've seen for the sequel is that there was too much focus on the bugs and not the dinosaurs. That Fallen Kingdom promised dinosaurs in the mainland, not some locusts.
I disagree with them. Aside from the bugs, the dinosaurs had plenty of screen time and were even in Malta!!
I think the insects were a great idea, but implemented poorly. Could've been poor writing. Could've been COVID reasons during production. I like to believe that the locusts suffer from being shoved into a movie that really needed to be 2 parts. If Jurassic World Dominion was 2 parts, they could have kept the locusts and flesh them out more AND include dinos in cities.
I'm digressing.
Dominion and the locusts represent the peaking in the abuse of genetic power, told in Jurassic terms. The locusts unchecked may cause a possible extinction of the human race, all because BioSyn was blinded by its own hubris. Lewis Dodgson is dark John Hammond.
Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom said the same thing about genetic power with hybrid monsters. Hoskins talked about Raptors eating terrorists "belt buckle and all." A black market emerged. People died. All because humanity discovered how to manipulate genetics without understanding the consequences.
So, yeah, Jurassic Park and Jurassic World revolve around action scenes with dinosaurs and a beautiful shot of them here and there. But the core of the franchise, the main narrative, is not about shoving dinosaurs in front of the camera and watching them fight. It is and always has been about genetic power and the mishandling of it by arrogant men.

VERY IMPORTANT Part 1 - Fun Fact: "Jurassic World Dominion: A World Where Dinosaurs and Humans Must Coexist"
"Jurassic World Dominion" (2022) is the third film in the "Jurassic World" trilogy and the sixth in the overall "Jurassic Park" franchise. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, it brings together characters from both the original Jurassic Park series and the Jurassic World films, culminating in an epic conclusion where humans and dinosaurs must coexist.
Here’s a breakdown of the story:
Setting: A World with Dinosaurs
After the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018), dinosaurs have been released into the wild, and they are now living and roaming freely across the planet. This creates a new dynamic where humans and dinosaurs must share the Earth, causing conflicts between people, ecosystems, and governments as they try to figure out how to manage the coexistence.
Main Plot Threads
The movie follows two primary storylines that converge by the end:
1. Owen and Claire's Story:
Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard) are living in a remote forest, raising Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon), the young girl who was revealed to be a clone of her "mother" in Fallen Kingdom. They are trying to protect her from people who want to exploit her DNA.
When Maisie is kidnapped by a group of mercenaries, Owen and Claire embark on a dangerous journey to rescue her. During this, they also reconnect with Blue, the velociraptor Owen trained, whose offspring is also captured.
2. Legacy Characters Return:
At the same time, the movie brings back iconic characters from the original Jurassic Park trilogy: Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill), Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), and Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum). They are investigating a sinister corporation called Biosyn, which is conducting genetic experiments and manipulating ecosystems, leading to ecological disasters.
Biosyn has been secretly using dinosaur DNA and cloning technology to control food supplies by creating genetically modified locusts that destroy crops, except those grown from Biosyn seeds. Ellie and Alan set out to expose this threat with the help of Ian, who is working inside the corporation.
The Two Storylines Converge:
Both stories eventually lead to Biosyn's high-tech dinosaur sanctuary in the Dolomite Mountains in Italy. Here, the corporation is conducting illegal experiments on dinosaurs and other creatures.
Owen and Claire’s mission to save Maisie and Blue’s offspring intersects with the original team’s efforts to expose Biosyn’s environmental schemes. They must work together to stop Biosyn and prevent a larger ecological catastrophe, as the sanctuary falls into chaos with dinosaurs running wild.
Key Themes:
Coexistence with Dinosaurs: One of the movie’s central questions is how humans and dinosaurs can coexist in the same world.
Ethics of Genetic Engineering: The film explores the dangers of genetic manipulation, with Biosyn’s greed leading to catastrophic consequences.
Legacy and New Generations: The return of the original Jurassic Park characters connects the older and newer generations, blending nostalgia with new threats.
Climax and Resolution:
In the final act, the group must navigate the dangers of the sanctuary, which has become a perilous environment due to the dinosaurs and Biosyn’s corrupt operations. They ultimately expose Biosyn's crimes, and the company is dismantled. Owen, Claire, and Maisie return home safely with Blue’s offspring, while the world grapples with the reality that humans must now find a way to live alongside dinosaurs permanently.
Conclusion:
The film ends on a note of uneasy coexistence, where dinosaurs are no longer confined to parks or remote islands but have become a permanent part of the natural world. Humans must learn to adapt to this new reality, and the future of both species is left open-ended.
In essence, Jurassic World Dominion wraps up the franchise by exploring the consequences of unleashing prehistoric creatures into the modern world, while tying together old and new storylines, and questioning the ethical boundaries of science and nature.

Sorry I'm a bit late to the party - what type of fanfiction do you write/currently write? You mentioned an RU fic?
Morning/evening/afternoon anon! Thank you for asking, hope you’re well.
Well, I write a lot of fanfiction, (Pirates of the Caribbean, Jurassic Park/World) but the only stuff I post is for Harry Potter.
I have two fics posted, both in a WIP state. There’s one other that I haven’t posted and I’m waiting to be finished before uploading, here is the list.
Available:
Regretfully Uncaring (RU)
My long fic. My baby. I looooove it with all my heart. Currently rewriting/editing the vast majority of it because this was really my first proper toe into creative writing, and as it’s gone on my skill set has improved considerably and, as I say in the summary on AO3, I want the story to be as accessible and enjoyable as it can be to the most amount of people.
It’s a werewolf fic, but it’s also a lot more than that. As the name implies it’s about regret. The name actually comes from something an addict I know told me, where when you’re hooked on something you regret your actions but you can’t get yourself to care. It’s about learning how to love again. It’s about acceptance, revolution. But really it’s about addiction. I say all that from the perspective of the author. It’s a ton of other things and my readers get different stuff out of it I’m sure.
It’s an ensemble cast story, so the perspective shifts quite a few times per chapter. I think there’s something like 20 characters that each lead a role at some point. Plenty of pairings, but the focuses are Harry/Ginny and Ron/Daphne. There’s time travel, there’s world building, the entire plot is essentially original and that’s why it’s my Bebe.
Because Regretfully Uncaring is a test run. Once the tournament concludes in chapter 28/29, it’s basically just a Harry Potter version of my original work that I poke away at. I want to make movies someday, and maybe Hollywood and general audiences as a whole will be more up to some original stories and less remakes/sequels because fuck I have so many ideas and this really is one of them.

Big thanks to @curse-04 and @muib92 who I can’t tag for some reason. Their genuine interest in what I’ve written has kept me going through so much, more than just writing. Even if you’re the same person with an alt account, I appreciate it.
A Short Life Full of Long Years (ASLFOLY)
Yeah so I don’t have as much to say about this one. Only reason it isn’t a one-shot is because my brain can’t just let things end so here we are. It’s a post-war soul bond fic, again: Harry and Ginny are the focus here. Together they go travelling in search of Andromeda and Teddy, who have gone into hiding in the muggle world somewhere in Europe. They have a vague map without any marked destinations, oh, and a vengeful Death is after Harry since his survival in the forest. I really wanted to explore what a soul bond post HBP/DH would look like, and I’ve enjoyed myself so far. Eventually, if I feel like it, they might become a secret agent duo. At the moment I have very little plan for this story, i just like writing it as it goes. People have loved it so far, so there’s that.

Biggest thanks to @fizzyginfizz for leaving the best review I’ve ever received on any story, let alone ASLFOLY. I still think about it.

So yeah that’s what’s uploaded, that’s what I tend to talk about. The stuff I won’t post is pretty simple.
My PotC fic is a follow up to the fifth film that explains Davy Jones and Jack’s actions in the Sea of Thieves portion of the story line. It’s pretty good and I’m thinking I might eventually post but there’s only like 20k words at the moment.
My Jurassic Park/World fic is just a rewrite of the latest film. Call me stupid or whatever but I was hella invested in the Jurassic story and I was looking forward to the conclusion/follow up after Fallen Kingdom. But *NO* they had to FUCK IT UP. Anyway it’s pretty damn good as a story but I will never ever post this one because no one is learning about my obsession for Jurassic Park that intimately.
Thank you for asking anon and sorry for rambling. Going to grammar edit this now, have a wonderful day.

A few months, I made a post talking about how the ‘planned from the beginning’ excuse the RWBY FNDM loves to use makes no sense. I got into a very brief argument with @crimsonxe before deleting the post and apologizing for writing it out of anger.
I am now taking that apology back, because the RWBY FNDM has repeatedly proven it deserves no form of respect no matter how small or basic.
I was hoping to rewrite the post using the other user’s replies, but unfortunately I couldn’t find them in my email trash bin. So I’m going to be rewriting it based on memory.
One of the points I made was that, in Volume 3, there was a short scene where Penny expressed a desire to stay at Beacon, specifically saying that she ‘had an idea.’ The person who responded to me said that this idea didn’t ‘go nowhere’ because Penny dies at the end of the Volume
... Bitch, that’s why it goes nowhere.
It’s like saying the ending of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom where dinosaurs are now loose on the mainland wasn’t completely ignored by the next film because Dominion was all about an evil corporation trying to kill competitor crops with a swarm of prehistoric locus. It doesn’t change the fact that Fallen Kingdom’s ending was very clearly setting up a different story.
Or that the Pokemon anime didn’t drop the golden Pokeball plotline because it was delivered to Professor Oak and we never learn what it was about.
They also said that all that really mattered to Silver Eyes was that the Grimm are afraid of them, and it’s perfectly okay that CRWBY didn’t figure out why until Volume 3
That’s like saying it would have been perfectly fine if Avatar The Last Airbender took three seasons to figure out what an Avatar is.
Ruby’s Silver Eyes are strongly implied to be the reason Ozpin let her into Beacon. If I’m expected to believe they’re important, why the fuck wouldn’t you figure out what they do first thing.
A plothole is when there is a hole in your plot’s internal logic. How are you supposed to avoid plotholes if not even you know what’s going on?
Another point they made was that the writers figuring out their worldbuilding before they start the story or where they want the plot to go is them ‘doing me a favor’
As I said in the original post: No, that is the writers doing their JOBS!
Let me put it to you this way: Imagine you go into a restaurant and order a cheeseburger:
Do you expect that burger to be cooked?
Do you expect it to have a bun?
Do you expect a plate or a tray to carry it with?
Do you expect the restaurant to have tables you can sit at?
Do you expect the floors to be clean with a wet floor sign warning you of when it’s slippery?
Saying that the writers are ‘doing me a favor’ when they figure out where they want their story to go or how their magic systems work or what their world is like is like saying that one manager I had was ‘doing me a favor’ every time he came in half an hour late rather than miss have his shift like that one time. That’s not doing a favor, that’s doing the least they could.
Doing me a favor is when Ben 10 throws in nods to fan opinions and responses in their show as quick little gags without mocking the people who hold those thoughts.
It’s when William Hartnell, the actor who played the First Doctor, kept track of what every button and switch on the TARDIS console did because he wanted to make sure he never used the wrong one because he feared viewers would notice.
It’s when Arkhane Studios defines the world of Dishonored down to the calendar.
It’s when the Ink Tank makes And Beyond, a series dedicated the the culture and societies of each of Ben’s aliens.
It’s when Linkara, GOAT he is, makes an entire, full length analog-horror movie as an April Fools joke.
Doing the audience a favor is going the extra mile. It is not figuring out your plot points the moment they become relevant. If that’s what you define as good writer, than please, do tell me, what’s bad writing? If your standards are this low, then what would you consider a bad story?
They also claimed that I was wrong to make such criticisms of RWBY because Miles Luna is just a human being
I could make an entire post detailing how ‘people make mistakes’ is a terrible way to counter criticism (and in fact, I did), but instead, I’ll just leave you with a choice quote that describes one of the biggest problems with it:
There are writers and directors out there who put painstaking efforts into their stories to make sure everything is as concise and logical as possible. There are also writers and directors who don't put in those efforts at all. If inconsistencies in plot and character action "don't matter at all", then how can you even appreciate those efforts made by filmmakers who legitimately care? You're not just delegitimizing those who discuss their films. You're delegitimizing the filmmakers themselves. You're saying there's no difference between a lazy script littered with inconsistencies versus a thoroughly researched, laid-out, thoughtful script that made every effort they possibly could to make the story, characters, and universe as consistent and believable as possible. That's just nonsense and it's upsetting that you refuse to see any value whatsoever in filmmakers who put those extra efforts into their work.
Adam from YourMovieSucks.org, a professional movie critic.
They also said that they, as a writer, have reworked entire timelines because they came up with one new character
First of all, what you describing here is the planning process. It’s revise then release, not the other way around.
Second of all, real nice anecdotal evidence you have there. Wanna hear some of mine? I wrote up history and culture for vampires and werewolves, notes detailing my own soft magic system, and worldbuilt an entire underwater society down to the clock for fun. At that point, it shouldn’t feel like I’m asking the writers to reverse the Earth’s rotation when I expect them to figure out why Ruby’s Silver Eyes are special or how Magic works.
Another one of their ridiculous claims was that foreshadowing could ruin a show’s mysteries
Dumbass, mysteries are where you need foreshadowing the most. Ask any established mystery writer, they’ll all tell you the same thing: The best practice is to figure out the ending first and work your way backwards. It requires thought and care to make sure the ending is satisfying and the journey to it is enjoyable and engaging.
Even if the audience figures out where the story is going, that just means their paying attention and are invested enough to think about the story. And last I checked, the audience being invested in your story is a good thing. Take it from me, I have a very strong idea for where Slime Rancher 2′s story is going, and I would be elated when it turns out I’m right.
If the only quality your story has is that it’s ending is ‘a surprising twist,’ then that just shows how shallow the rest of the story is.
Edit: Linkara has a quote that perfectly explains why this idea is stupid: “Of course we can’t [solve the mysteries]. It’s not really a mystery. It’s you guys making up random contrivances to resolve each new cliffhanger.”
The last thing they user did was perpetuate the conspiracy theory that the RWDE tag was created to somehow destroy RWBY and Rooster Teeth while also saying the show doesn’t need defending from us as they defended it.
Ah, yes, because criticizing something is such a threat to it and the people who make it. Just look at what happened with Twilight. That series became the laughing stock of the internet, and then it... Kept going.
Or what about Sword Art Online. Mocking it became ingrained in the anime community, and then it... Kept going.
Or Sonic The Hedgehog. That series has a bad game every other release, and then it... Kept going. And each time it actually listens to the feedback it gets and tries to fix the problems people had.
Criticism is not a threat to a piece of media or the people who made it. If anything, we’re doing RT a favor by criticizing RWBY.
But even then, let’s pretend, for just a moment, that there somehow was a conspiracy to destroy RWBY and Rooster Teeth for whatever reason. Do you know what our EEVIIIILLL plan would be? It’d be a simple two steps:
Step 1: Sit back
Step 2: Watch
Anything we could say or do to Rooster Teeth wouldn’t be nearly as bad as what they do to themselves. Or do you think all those ex-employees reporting workplace discrimination and crunch culture so terrible it caused PTSD are in on it too? We aren’t the ones trying to destroy Rooster Teeth. Rooster Teeth is the one trying to destroy Rooster Teeth.
And even if that wasn’t true, why would an easily blockable tumblr tag be any threat to them? We say this about a hundred times a day, but the entire point of the tag is for the FNDM to blacklist it so that they don’t see criticism.
And just to articulate how easy it is to blacklist a tag on this website: I figured out how to do that all on my own and I can’t find my blocklist. If that’s not good enough for you people, then what do you want us to do, go to an entirely different website? Yeah, like that would stop you from complaining about us.
Furthermore, out of all the series in all the media in all the world to try and destroy, why do you think we would target a low profile web animation from a company that’s only really popular in machinima? Don’t you think a more high-profile franchise would get this treatment? Like Star Wars?
They probably said some more dumbass claims, but these are all I can remember.

WIP Updates
Been a while since I did one of these, and I should honestly be trying to sleep so this damn sore throat/respiratory crap goes away, but I just can't breathe when I lay down >_< however, I'm feeling a bit better than a couple days ago so I'll do this update and see if I can concentrate long enough to get some words in on at least one of these projects.
Project Zander:
I finished chapter five last night and sent it off to the beta readers. That one took a while to really come together to my satisfaction, especially the past scene. I had over 10k words on this chapter at one point before figuring out what it needed and cutting it down to 6500.
I am now working on outlining the next five chapters before I dive into chapter six.
Untitled Original Project:
I decided to scavenge some parts from Teenage Vigilante Witch and build an original story out of it. So far I like what I've got, which is about 4k words and needs a lot of outlining. Still keeping the found family aspect, but I'm doing a lot of world building and outlining to ensure it's a very different story from Teenage Viginate Witch. Looking back on it now, there was a lot of stuff I wish I'd explored in that first story, but it was written very fast and thrown up on archive to prove to myself that I could still write. I never intend to go back and edit or rewrite any of it, so I'm going to take the potential it had and put it into another story and take it a couple jogs to the left. Mostly, I'm going to be exploring that guilty/vigilante mindset with a spell amnesia twist that slowly pulls back to reveal a truth better left forgotten with a different take on found family. Still working out a lot of the details but I'm excited for it.
Home Across the Universe #10:
It's a little over 3k at the moment but I have notes and scenes in my email that I need to get and stitch together in the draft, so it's likely closer to 5k. Also, I already have the ending outlined and I'm excited to get to that since it's a cliffhanger I'm gonna get yelled at over. Looking forward to that. I may poke at this one today and see if I can get some more written on it.
Rabbit Come Home part 4:
Also a little over 3k written, I'm still outlining the scenes to make sure I include everything I need to so it's a satisfying ending. I'm shooting for this to be the end of the series and there are a lot of threads to tie off.
Into the Black, Episode 3:
Also sitting at 3k, this has a couple of chunk sitting in my email I need to stitch in as well. I haven't worked on it in a couple weeks and need to sit down and outline my scenes to figure out where it needs to go. I have a vague idea but not enough to work on, especially today with my mind being fried from sickness.
Untitled Sequel to the supposed Jurassic World/Teen Wolf Oneshot:
I told myself it was a one shot and I believed it for a while, but a plot bunny bit me after a recent rewatch of Fallen Kingdom and I now have...5,515 words of a sequel. It goes a bit AU from Fallen Kingdom because I had high hopes for the promises that movie set up for Dominion that Dominion just did not deliver for me. I'm still let down about that, apparently. I'm aiming to keep the story small in scale, but it was fun pitting Stiles against dinosaurs the first time and this sequel has him showcasing some more of his smarts while injured and a little delirious from pain meds, so it should be entertaining.
Aaand, that's all I've been working on lately. Hoping to get the next Home Across the Universe oneshot finished and posted first, though I'm not making any promises or predictions on when that will be. Hopefully I can scrape together enough brain cells to work on it today and get it closer to the end scene.
