the older i get and the closer i am to reaching 30, the more the people around me try to deny me my age. it’s a constant ‘oh you’re just turning 29 again teehee 🤭’ or ‘dont tell your SO that, he’ll leave you for a younger model 😉’ and i just???? hate it?????????

i spent my entire teenaged years fighting for my life. i crawled through the deepest pits of my depression to cling to the promise of a life beyond that pain. i was so convinced that i was going to die young, that i would never see the grace of my age starting with a 2, let alone 3.

so im going to turn 30, and there’s not a damn thing anyone can do to stop me from loving it.

I am the sole provider for my two disabled roommates, one of whom has lymphoma (cancer). The other one and I both have an acute case of mono rn. We are all very sick rn. Proof below, and dm me for more proof/details.

We are unsually broke right now too becuase my paycheck from last week was delayed and this weeks check is going to be next to nothing because I have been too sick to work much in addition to being the caretaker for two people.

To add to all that, the location where we have our storage unit is closing down. We need to rent a truck and get all our stuff by the before the 12th when my roommate starts chemo, or we won't be able to get up there before it closes. The storage unit contains all of the stuff I have left from my dead dad.

Oh, and last week in a neurological episode, my roommate dropped and broke his phone, which he uses to communicate when he is nonverbal, depriving him of accesible communication for large parts of every day. We need to replace that.

We need $600 to cover the storage unit and just immediate needs. I feel like I'm drowning. We still don't even have the cleaning supplies we need to get the house clean before chemo.

Help Mohammed pay his hospital bills

Mohammed (@mohammedalhabil2000) is a Palestinian teen who got surgery on his injured leg in January, but he's still trying to pay off the bill, as well as raise the money to leave Gaza to get more comprehensive treatment on his leg.

“what if kids identify with something and it ends up just being a phase-?” good. stop teaching and expecting kids (and adults honestly) to formulate permanent traits and ideas of themselves. everything in life is a phase. that doesn’t make it any less legitimate while you experience it. let people explore themselves and know it’s okay if what you think about yourself changes.
