I think it's narratively cleaver and necessary that Harvey Dent was Gotham's DA but I'd also be interested in a telling of Dent's story if he was a criminal lawyer who becomes evil after seeing just how stacked against the oppressed the justice system is and is disenfranchised with the entire thing — either he aids batman as a vigilante but instead targeting crooked cops or he's still batman's enemy but batman is more of a billionaire than a superhero and Dent rejects this half assed vigilante and looks at this privileged rich boy with disgust.

#but the fact that he was a DA and that his so called inner evil arises as the two faced man #who both speaks in platitides to the wealthy elites while sneering at the so called criminals #he puts behind bars
