Act 3 Gale romance spoilers....

I managed to get him to come with Tav to have Fun with the twins. The results are kinda incredible.

OK so... GALE LIKES TO WATCH.... But more importantly... He doesn't want to touch! The initial dialogue before rolling persuation (which was a 25 BTW!!!) had him say he asks Tara to leave the room before he undresses, which makes him sound initially a bit prudish. There's even a potential reply making fun of him saying we're not inviting his Tressym along.

But I think that's clearly a misunderstanding of the situation given the scene that follows when we do convince him.

I'm losing my ace miiiiind this is so ace coded!!! 'the rutting or whatever' sounds sex repulsed, and the tutting... OK you could still read it as him being *very* monogamous and not wanting to be involved with others when it comes to intimacy. Absolutely. Even if they show him lying in bed with the group afterwards.

But it's making my head spin. Sooooo many people before I played the game were making big claims about Gale, saying how he's this 'nice guy' who 'fucked a goddess and kind of rubs in it'. But it's just so not the vibes!!

Also during our little night in the woods, when he summons that giant bed, we stay clothed. I figured they didn't want to implement any 'let#s strip' considering how short the scene is... But now I'm wondering if we had sex at all, in the more physical and involved sense. 'The rutting or whatever'.

I am still going through act 3 of course but I'm rotating Gale in my mind like a toupee. Also very excited to see what durgestarion will be like in this context. Durge I can imagine will bite the poor drow twins excitedly, but Astarion doesn't want sex, so... 0_0 all eyes.

Anyway, Gale needs some cuddling in the dark privacy of his tent. Now that I know his chest glows from excitement I can never unsee it.

okay i just met them in my game so here's the question: do serena and shads indulge in the drow twins?

Haha once I got this question and I think I said:

“Tav would probably cry if someone else kissed her gf, she’s not built for that”

and tbh I stand by it! 😅

Serena is the kind of person who has to really have feelings for someone in some capacity if she wants to sleep with them. I think she views sex as less of a need and more of an extension of how she can show love and worship to her chosen partner. Casual sex doesn’t really interest her. There was a period in her life in which she assumed she’d be married off, so the idea of getting to actually choose and cherish her partner is so important to her.

I think Shadowheart would be down (as she is canonically), but given how she doesn’t bring it up unless Tav does, I don’t think it’s a requirement for her. In my mind, she sort of falls in love with the intimacy she shares with Serena and becomes a little protective of it, even. This is the same Shadowheart who used to think “short term amusements are much less hassle”- but I don’t think she views Serena as a short term amusement anymore, obviously. So we get to see sides of Shadowheart that weren’t there before, as a result of what’s probably her first serious monogamous relationship in a while…(maybe ever).

I feel bad, the drow twins always come close to winning my npc polls but never quite manage to make it to the end. So I wanted to do a quick sketch because I know some of you were rooting for them 😌

Grateful for the fact that, in sex scenes in bg3, not only do you get the chance to say yes/no/I'm not sure in the beginning but you get MULTIPLE chances to revoke your consent. Grateful that several characters (both companions and npcs) discuss issues such as autonomy, respect, being on the same level as your lover, whether they actually enjoy certain things or not, and the relationship between their body and the world. Again, grateful that a character like Astarion can get the chance to explore his desires within his comfort zone and say he thinks he's ready after a long time— things are going to be different now, of course, but he's reflected on this and he would like to try.
