on the surface 911 seems like your typical first responder show but if you actually get into it the continuity of the show is insane. all of the characters have linear storylines that seem to go away and then affect them seasons later. athena’s tanya kingston storyline comes to mind, tommy being abby’s ex, bobby’s minnesota storylines. they don’t just erase these valuable arcs once they’re resolved, they come back to the characters and haunt the narrative which i LOVE.
