The Disappearances of Draco Malfoy by Speechwriter (Rated M) The night that Harry and Dumbledore return from the cave, the Death Eaters are delayed from reaching the top of the Astronomy Tower for one more minute. Draco Malfoy lowers his wand. A Deathly Hallows rewrite in which Draco accepts Dumbledore's offer to fake his death and go into hiding with the Order of the Phoenix.

MY OPINION: This fic was pretty awesome. It is crazy how much of the original book was kept but all of the adventures of the 7th book were completely tweaked. I loved the fact that Lucius and Narcissa played a part in it and how authentic the build up between Draco and Hermione was. Also no Ron and Harry bashing made me very happy. The fic didn't have any hardcore smut description and I didn't even mind which really surprised me. This was another fic that I listened to instead of read on Spotify. ETL Echo are magicians with their podfics and they do all of their work for free.

I finally read The Disappearances of Draco Malfoy by @batmansymbol and holy wow

If you don’t know it’s a Book 7 rewrite with Draco ending up on the run with the Golden Trio. I honestly feel like this was so well done that you could easily replace DH with this and no one would suspect anything. I loved it so much.

Also I have to share this Harry quote because it hit me so hard for some reason :

“We’re not inviting them in. We’re sending a message that they’re never going to get in again.”

Amazing when Harry doesn’t crash out in those fics where Draco is reminding people that he’s also a Black

Like yeah it’s nice and cute that he wants to be in Teddy’s life or whatevs, but like. I’d lose it. Fully. He may be more immediately related to Sirius and Teddy, but he’s out of his mind if he thinks he’s a closer family member in the way that actually matters

Also sad that there’s not more fics of Harry getting to add Black to his name, like maybe this is just me projecting again, but being raised in a family where everyone else has the same last name and you’re sticking out (the Durselys), and then he gets accepted by the Weasleys, but it’s still Weasleys + Potter, and then he gets Sirius and Remus in his life, but it’s still Sirius is Lord Black of the Black family and then Remus starts his own family of Lupins

Awful. Harry deserves that connection, and honestly Sirius, being that he saw the Potters as his actual family, would love to add his name too, they could be the Potter-Black family, and then it’s not just Harry sticking out as the only one with his last name

I’m obsessed with the Spotify Daylist. Every day multiple times it’s completely different and I adore it. Tonight it’s given me like atmospheric spiritual sad music (mitski, Lana feel ray vibes) and I’m reading this very intense Dramione fic and there have just been a load of deaths and the songs are making me well sad but… regardless… the vibes are immaculate
