(in a reblog for my monty hook post) As I recall he never even kissed anyone so that's just heteronomative as fuck to just assume he's straight out of no where (and even if he did kiss it wouldn't necessarily mean anything).
He's not, never been, also anyone that thinks captain hook is straight missed some very important lessons in queer coding history have you looked at that man??

Even when I hated Descendants as a EAH fan, I have grown fond of it over time, not enough to expect something more than cringe (but good) songs and choreos.
But this thing about not wanting to be evil like her mother and not wanting to be Queen and wanting to have her life, destiny and future is... Familiar...
I'll keep watching but for now it's giving me the icks for ignoring some world rules from before but I'll probably like the first song at some point.
PD: Missing Evie and Audrey my beloveds 😔😔😔
PD2: I'll be editing to add my thoughts
---
That remaster of "What's my name?" Was inecessary, maybe if they changed the lyrics but was meh
---
Why does the starring girls (and the Queen of hearts) look like Instagram influencers? Are they?
---
I think for Red the idea of everything Red it's good cause she's from other word/kingdom but for Chloe it doesn't work, she just feels out of place (wich, I repeat, works for Red). Will try to deepen on it later.
Feels way cheaper than the first ones.
And just feels soooo EAH with the parents going to the same school, it's contradictory to the same movie and the Cinderella one that's supposed to be canon here.
---
Ok, same problem with the colors with the young moms.
Ok, loved the "That's my dad" joke.
They made Hades and Maleficent so bad here 😭😭😭
---
I know I said my only expectation was songs but there's too much and half of them weren't really necessary. Would've like to have a song to present Red AND Chloe instead of that introduction for Chloe where the focus was on her parents.
---
As I've said, with time I've have grown fond of this franchise, and that was mostly because of how they portrait the characters, how a villains doesn't born but they're created by the context where they live, by the example of their parents and relatives, by the environment where they grow up, that was the difference between both franchises, EAH about expectations of other people of what you're going to do with your life as if it belonged to them while Descendants about prejudices and punishment based on them.
This was just so void, there's only 2 MCs and both feels so incomplete, really expected that at the end Ella were going to become a villain but no and I know the consequences of changing the past will going to wait for a sequel but it felt just fast and obvious even for the usual predictability of Disney. I didn't empathize with either of them, while watching Mal or Raven's problems with they're mothers are heartbreaking more than just "She doesn't like how I look and how I think" but about how they don't care about their kids at all and only see them as tools. And while they try to do the same with the relationship between Red and her mom it doesn't work if you just tell me it with words, both MCs are absolutely boring and there isn't even a villain to make the movie a little interesting.

Red and Blue: Liars in Their Own Right
A/N - Hi everyone! Here is a commissioned piece that I have just finished and wanted to share with everyone! I had an amazing prompt given to me for The Descendants! Red and Chloe are roommates and Red decides to prank Chloe, which revenge must occur!! I hope you all enjoy!
Word Count: 2,125
“Red? Red! Have you seen Tiago?” Chloe Charming looked up from her spot, having heard her roommate return from her walk.
“Tiago?” Red dropped her bag by the door before kicking off her boots.
“My sword,” Chloe grumbled, standing up from the side of her bed, having just looked under it. “I promised to help some of the new members of the Fencing Team practice later and I was planning on bring my sword instead of using one of the flimsy ones the academy provides.”
“I have no idea where it is,” Red replied as she shrugged off her jacket to hang in on the door. Crossing her arms and the room, Red approached her roommate with head held high, but her eyes wouldn’t make contact with Chloe’s. Brows furrowed; Chloe frowned.
“Red,” head slightly tilted, “why are you lying to me?”
“What?” uncrossing her arms, Red took a step back, mouth agape at the accusation. “Why would you say that?”
Taking in a deep breath, Chloe gave Red a look that said, “really?” This look could make almost anyone reveal what they were hiding, but not Red. Red was stubborn, and while it could be a detriment at times, Chloe quite liked it about her.
“Do you want help looking for it?” Red’s eyes were wide, deep brown eyes full of mischief and alarm, almost like a dog’s when they get caught tearing up their owner’s important documents. She knew that Chloe could read her like a book, which was fine right now. Red was a great liar, really, but with something as silly as a missing sword, Red wasn’t too against getting caught. Sometimes Chloe needed to be knocked down a peg. That and the way Chloe looks when she’s frustrated was very endearing; cheeks puffed out and brows furrowed with focus. Red had noticed early on that Chloe would always play with her sky blue curls when thinking and based on the way her hair was framing her face that very second, Chloe had definitely been thinking and searching for quite a bit of time that day.
“Where are you hiding my sword, Red,” Chloe asked, then bit her lip.
“Here you go accusing me of things I didn’t do,” rolling her eyes, Red spun around on her heels and headed to her bed.
Turning away from Chloe turned out to be the worst idea, as Chloe stalked after her and pushed Red onto her bed. Flailing like a fish out of water, Chloe rolled over and tried to shove Chloe’s body off before she was fully pinned. She knew this was futile, as Chloe was the stronger of the two of them physically, and within a few moments of struggle, Red was trapped under Chloe’s weight. Sighing in frustration, Red tugged at her arms, which were now pinned above her head in Chloe’s ironclad grip.
“Red,” Chloe stared right into Red’s eyes before the princess moved her head to the side to avoid her gaze, wanting to see how this little game they were playing would pan out.
“Chloe,” gathering her focus and taking in a breath to regulate her heartbeat after their moment of scuffling, Red turned her head back to face Chloe, staring right into her eyes, a slight smirk stretching across her deep red lips. “I told you I don’t know where your sword is, so what are you doing?”
“I know you’re lying to me. If you don’t tell me where my sword is right now, there will be consequences,” Chloe warned, squeezing both of Red’s wrists as an emphasis.
“Oh, I’m so scared,” Red mocked, her voice dramatic, a damsel in distress. “What are you going to do? Annoy me to death?”
“Do you happen to be ticklish, Red?” taking both wrists into one hand, Chloe trailed her fingers down Red’s arm, touch gentle. Running along the hollow of her arm, Chloe could feel Red’s hands flex as her fingers continued, following her ribcage down toward her belly, fingers slowing over every rib as if they were bumps in the road.
“No,” saying this confidently and without a stutter, Red wore the appearance of nonchalance.
“Hm,” doubting her friend’s statement, Chloe hummed as she ran her hand across Red’s belly. Thankfully for Chloe, instead of the deep red knitted sweater Red usually wore, she was wearing a thinner cotton shirt with sparkly metallic buttons down the middle. Still a vibrant red with large black hearts accenting the shoulders and lower part of the shirt just above the hem, the shirt was much thinner and conforming to Red’s narrow frame, allowing her to feel a bit more of Chloe’s touch than she normally would. Trying not to twitch under Chloe’s touch, Red followed each motion with her eyes, mentally calculating Chloe’s next move.
“See,” Red said with an air of success. Cocky grin still on her face, she was pleased in how her body was following her mental advice. “Told you I’m not ticklish.”
Cheeks puffed and brows furrowed, Chloe remained silent, focused on the task at hand. Pads of her fingers now against the cool metal of the bottom button, Chloe hooked her thumb beneath the shirt to undo the button.
“That’s cheating,” Red said quickly, brain beginning to fizzle out as Chloe meticulously unbuttoned the next two buttons and exposed her belly.
“Saying that suggests you’re lying to me,” Chloe allowed herself to breathe, then smile.
“No, it doesn’t,” she replied with a quick inhale, regretting her words.
“Perhaps,” tapping the bare skin of Red’s belly, Chloe hummed knowingly. “If you were ticklish, it would be a shame if I did this then.”
Before finishing her words, Chloe dug in and began to scribble her manicured aqua-colored nails over Red’s belly. Choking back a laugh, Red squeezed her eyes shut and turned her head to the side, desperately trying to tug her wrists free from their shackles. She did quite well at holding back her laughter, until Chloe swirled a finger into the girl’s bellybutton. It was all over then.
“Chloe!” Red squealed, both laughing and kicking frantically. “Stop it!”
“Tell me where my sword is,” Chloe practically sang out the words, smiling down at her friend as she laughed hysterically, twisting her body side to side to dislodge Chloe’s finger from her navel.
“Under my bed!” Red shrieked, upset that Chloe had found her most ticklish spot so fast and was exploiting it to get her way.
“Yay!” Chloe rolled off her friend and darted over to the bed, sliding to the floor to take a peek. Now on her hands and knees, Chloe peered under the bed and frowned. “Red!”
At this point, Red had stood up and was making her way to the door, having quickly buttoned her shirt. Seeing what she was doing, Chloe leaped to her feet and darted after her. Not wanting to leave the room as she didn’t have her boots on, she did the next best thing.
“Chloe, don’t you dare!” Red exclaimed as she rushed Chloe. Confused by the action, Red managed to duck beneath Chloe’s arm and make her way to her bed. Pillows galore, Red began to chuck her many pillows at Chloe in hopes to deter her next attack. Feathers flying, Chloe shielded her face with her arms before leaping onto Red’s bed, grabbing Red’s leg and dragging her away from the corner.
“Where is my sword?” punctuating each word with a finger tap to Red’s nose, Chloe had successfully pinned Red once again; Red’s hands restrained under Chloe’s knees as she was straddled. “Just because you buttoned your shirt back up doesn’t mean I can’t still tickle you.”
“I’m not telling you,” Red sneered, though her words unfortunately quivered. “I can take it.”
“Sure, you can,” Chloe teased, before slipping her hands under Red’s shirt.
Now that she had both hands available, Chloe knew she could have a bit more fun with it all. Instead of immediately going for the kill, she slowly spidered her fingers up and down Red’s sides, eliciting a soft giggle. Nose scrunched, Red turned her head to the side to avoid Chole’s gaze.
“Look at how ticklish you are. I’m barely even touching you.”
“Shut up,” giggles growing in pitch, Red tried to wriggle around beneath Chloe’s weight, but she had been perfectly pinned.
“How rude,” Chloe exclaimed in mock offense, centering her hands to Red’s belly. With an exaggerated gulp, Red’s eyes went wide, turning her head to look at Chloe.
“We can talk about this.”
“I thought you said you could take it?”
“I did.”
“Then, I guess you’ll have to take it then,” with that, Chloe began to scribble her nails all over Red’s belly, drawing figure eights all around her navel with one hand as the other traced shapes at random.
“Chloe-he-he,” Red let out, her laugh a bit louder now as she thumped her heels against the mattress. “Sta-ha-ha-hap!”
“You gonna tell me where my sword is?”
“Never!”
“Your funeral,” Chloe laughed to herself as she stuck an index finger into Red’s belly button, wiggling it around like a worm luring a fish, while the rest of her fingers skittered the area just around it.
Letting out a loud scream, Red threw her head back in laughter, twisting her body as much as she could to try to get free. She felt her hands moving just a smidge, which gave her a little bit of hope.
Red was not mad at all by this, enjoying how playful Chloe could be when she wanted to. And to be fair, Red did deserve this. She started it all with a prank, and now Chloe deserved to get her back. It wasn’t that she was super ticklish, which Red wouldn’t consider herself to be, it was that fact that Chloe had narrowed into her worst spot so fast that had her flailing and squealing. If only Chloe had been targeting anywhere else, she could manage that. Armpits? Fine. Ribs? Piece of cake. Even the rest of her belly got her laughing, but it wasn’t unbearable. This though, her belly button was just too ticklish for an onslaught like this.
“Under your mattress!” Red finally let out, not being able to take it anymore.
“How can I be so sure that you’re telling me the truth?” Chloe said, beginning to wiggle her fingers a bit faster. Completely consumed by her own hysterics, Red squirmed around just enough to free her hands.
“I swear, I swear!” Red squealed as Chloe just wouldn’t stop tickling her belly button. Arms free, Red pushed at Chloe’s chest in an attempt to launch the girl off of her. “I’m not lying this time. Please stop!”
With a successful laugh, Chloe removed her arms to cross them over her chest, giving Red a look that meant, “if you’re lying one more time, you’re dead.” Shifting her weight, Chloe got off the bed and walked over to her own. Lifting the mattress with ease, there sat her beloved sword. An excited squeal escaped her lips as she took it out of its hiding place, hugging it as if she was reuniting with a lost puppy.
“You know, I don’t know how you lasted that long,” Chloe said as she strode across the room to put her sword by the door, setting it along with the other materials she needed to bring for the team practice. “I’m way too ticklish to have held out as long as you did.”
“You’re what?” Red sat up; her breathing normalized. The Red locked eyes on here, Chloe knew that she had messed up.
“I meant to say…that I’m not ticklish at all. Nope. Nada,” Chloe said as confidently as she could despite stumbling over a few of the words.
“Somebody’s lying to me,” Red sang, leaping to her feet, filled with determination.
Crossing the room with long strides, Red beamed at Chloe as the latter’s eyes filled with fear.
“I’m not lying,” stuttering, Chloe made a dash past Red but wasn’t fast enough. Wrapping her arms around Chloe’s middle, Red used her devilishly long, red nails to skitter all over the girl’s belly. Shrieking, Chloe doubled over with loud laughter. “Red! I’m sorry I lied!”
“Oh, I couldn’t care less about that,” Red teased, slipping a hand under Chloe’s shirt to scribble her deviously ticklish nails along her bare skin. Leaning forward so her lips were almost touching the shell of Chloe’s ear, she whispered, “This is revenge.”
While the rest of her teammates would be confused as to why Chloe was late and why her beautiful blue locks were messy, they didn’t dare say anything when she proudly walked through the door, gleaming sword in hand.
