A/N: No one has requested me to write for AFoP so I decided to take matters into my own hands *cracks knuckles* Let's get to work.

This is basically my rendition of the cutscene you see when playing the game, after the title card. I made it lean more toward the angsty, romance play that we were robbed of when the game finally came out XD Enjoy!

Part 2

When So'lek told you that Nor had left Resistance HQ to have some time to think, you knew you needed to seek him out.

Using your new abilities and talents to track him down, it didn't shock you when you found Nor on one of the highest cliffs near the base of their new home. You remember he made a comment earlier about how there were more colors on Pandora than he remembered and how he had no names for them. You suspected he'd be all the way out here, admiring those colors and maybe trying to invent new names for them.

He didn't react when you approached the small fire he made, likely expecting you to come find him. He turned to face you with lowered ears and a forlorn look in his eyes, "What must our ancestors think of us? Do you think they pity us? Sad to see what we've become?"

"We're still Sarentu."

"Teylan barely speaks our tongue, but then... he always preferred human words."

"Alma says we all need time to adjust."

"Alma is not Na'vi." He growled lowly, turning away to kneel down in front of the fire.

You weren't deterred by his attitude, knowing Nor better than you sometimes knew yourself. He felt things stronger than most. He was passionate about what or how he felt and he wasn't afraid to admit it, hence why he didn't shy away when he proudly proclaimed his feelings toward you. It was years ago now, just the night before Alma snuck you and your friends into cryosleep to wait out the war. All that time you could've been with Nor... lost to cryosleep.

Nor felt the same loss as well, and that is why he wasn't wasting any more time. When neither of you are out on missions, you're with each other, safe at HQ, making up for lost time. Your relationship is technically still new and can easily be chalked up to young love, but Nor didn't see it that way. He claimed that was the way only Sky People saw it, but not the Na'vi. He wanted to do this right, and in his mind, the only right way was the Na'vi way.

So he asked So'lek for advice, on standard Na'vi customs and what the older man might know about the Sarentu ways to court someone. Nor was determined and straightforward about what he wanted to make sure you only got the best treatment. The Na'vi treatment, something that you deserved to have when you were younger but it was taken from you.

That's what you loved about him, growing up beside him. He reminded you so much of your sister at times with their shared determination as kids, though you refused to continue making that comparison after she died... afraid that if Nor acted too much like Aha'ri, then he would die just like her. You couldn't bear to lose him, too, not after everything Mercer and TAP have done to you.

Even now, as you two stood on top of that cliff, you were afraid of losing him, either to death or to life, should life and fate decide to tear you two apart. You wished you could vocalize your fear to him, but you were never as brave or as straightforward as Nor. You were grateful he had approached you about his feelings first, or else neither of you would've ever known.

Although you were not one with words, you were one with actions, and even Nor knew that you communicated with deeds.

Walking up to him, you slide your hand over his shoulder, and while he doesn't say a word, trapped with the demons in his head, he places his own hand on top of yours, a gesture of gratitude. He was thankful for your comfort, knowing that your way of communicating stems from being touch-starved and you would rather voice your thoughts through your actions instead of just saying them because, to you, that means so much more.

You keep your hand on his shoulder, the warmth of his palm bleeding into your skin while you look up and over the cliffside, admiring the scenery with a sad tone in your voice, "Why did the RDA come back?"

"They wanted more of Pandora," he responds with defeat, "They always do."

"Then we'll need to fight," you express with determination, squeezing his shoulder, "Aha'ri would have wanted us to fight."

You try to pull away, but Nor is suddenly too fast. He grasps your hand, gently, and you pause in your movement. He stands to his full height to gaze into your eyes, trying to relay what he's thinking without saying a word. But he wasn't like you. He wasn't good at sharing his thoughts through actions. He was better at it by talking, so that is what he did.

"Or we could run," he suggests and is quick to continue when the expression on your face falls, "Leave this place. Find somewhere else to call home."

"We've talked about this, Nor," you sigh tiredly, recalling not long ago when you, him, Ri'nela and Teylan were all sitting around a fire as Nor suggested they could all run away together. You express the same thing you said back then, too, "Alma brought us here for a reason. She believes in us."

He snarls, though there isn't much heat behind it, "Alma just wants to control us."

Not even you believed what he was saying, lowering your voice to a comforting whisper, "Alma is not Mercer. She actually cares about us as People."

"She left us."

"She thought we were gone."

He steps closer until he's nearly pressed against your chest, his hands sliding up to gently grasp both sides of your face, entwined in your hair. His voice wavered, desperate eyes staring back into yours, "If it were me instead of her, I would've clawed through the rubble of TAP, and I would've looked forever. Un... until I knew for sure if I lost you or not."

You wanted to be touched by the statement, your heart fluttering in your chest while Nor could no doubt feel your heartbeat, pumping through his hands as they rested near both sides of your neck. You shake your head slightly, "That is different. What Alma feels for us is not the same as... as what you feel for me. For all of us."

He shivered, almost proud that you managed to admit your confidence in his feelings toward you. He leans his forehead against yours, breathing in the same air as you while he matches the intimate moment with a whisper, "Exactly. I can't trust Alma with my family. I can only trust myself or you to take care of the four of us, to ensure we stick together."

You wet your lips when they felt dry, deciding to play into his dream for a little bit, "Suppose we did run away... where would we go?"

'Wherever we want! All of us,' he wanted to say the same thing he told Teylan down by the campfire, but he says it differently with you, "Anywhere, far away from here."

"Just the four of us?"

"The four of us," he confirms with a nod, thinking that he had you convinced, "We'll start our own clan. We'll renew the Sarentu."

"And what will happen when the war eventually finds us?"

Your question drives Nor to freeze, and so you continue, "Either Mercer, RDA, or TAP, it won't matter. They'll find us. You know they will."

He unfroze finally, huffing with determination, "Then we will fight."

"But if we fight now, and we win, then we can leave and we will never have to worry about the Sky People again," your hands moved until they were wrapped around Nor's waist, a bold move to match his own, his fingers still wrapped up in the hair on the back of your neck,

"We would never have to keep running or look over our shoulders ever again," you continue, "If we can end this sooner than later, I will go with you. I'll go wherever you want. But... But I can't leave now knowing what the Sky People are capable of. I can't leave knowing that there would be another child out there whose clan was wiped out and I wasn't brave enough to stop it from happening. I would never forgive myself."

Your words stun him into silence, and the intensity of his gaze causes you to feel shy and embarrassed, lowering your head to avoid him until his hands pause your movement. He gently uses his thumbs to push your chin to tilt back up, and when your eyes meet, he pauses for a moment, his intense eyes scanning your expression before his lips twitch up into a small, fond smile, "Heh."

"What?" You tilt your head, hesitant but smiling as well.

"Nothing. It's just... Aha'ri would be proud of you."

You already plan to tie Nor's stone into the songcord So'lek had given you, and you hope that in time, the songcord will grow, and there will be many more milestones to signify. fic idea about KDJ’s past being modified by the team in the epilogue and the consequence of that

the group view the story fragment extracted from KDJ and many of them are the traumatic past none of them know about. And they have a debate on whether they should include those in the novel to send to other world-line. Are those memories really necessary?”

“The suicide part is a must because that is how he gets to read the novel but do we also need to include how is repeatedly beaten or how he is ass4ulted or how cold that night his aunt left him outside was? Are all these necessary?”

The group is faced with an opportunity to make the past of KDJ slightly happier. Or. They are faced with an opportunity to modify the past as they like. This plan to bring KDJ is so absurd that they are all closely trying to not cross a certain line into manipulation.

They leave those part out (which is the Orv we are reading now, only containing flashback or greatly modified version of KDJ’s suffering). KDJ woke up in the ward and was showered with love.

But one day One of them slip over some thing and KDJ didn’t remember that. He panicked for a while wondering if this was a sign of his incompletion. But the group reassured him but KDJ still has this iffy feeling to the blurred sense of his past.

He then came across HSY’s notepad with his past written and edited. He was shocked and relieved but also questioned his existence: to what extent am I the Kim Dokja. Without the past, am I still me? This is like the avatar dilemma but right now KDJ is unsure how much of Himself is being modified or changed through the process. How much of a KDJ is he? If he needed to start the comparison, it is already self evident that he ISNOT KDJ.

He didn’t blame the group because he knew this was the best they could do and he was grateful. But he still sometimes felt like he was not himself, or he had frequent nightmares from the fragments of what he saw and worsened by his imagination.

YJK found about the nightmares and confronted KDJ and learnt the truth. He was furious about the whole omitting-the-past plan(he was already in outer space that time so he didn’t know about this) +

the thing with once upon a time at bennington is that... it paints itself as trying to paint a picture of "all" bennington, but all it does is spread misinformation and cut up interviews with people who loosely knew donna tartt and bret ellis. if you want any more proof of that anolik is like... really reaching and unethical, look no farther than her insistence that michelle maitland (costume designer on succession) is the inspiration behind judy poovey. she said numerous times that she didn't know donna, and maybe her car was the basis for judy's corvette, but THERE WASNT A COSTUME DESIGN MAJOR AT BENNINGTON, and she was a theater major, and she seriously doubts donna has a third eye and could know what industry she'd go into like 10 years after TSH was published. anolik published the interview and said maitland is surely judy anyway.

Geeeeeez 🤦🏻‍♀️. Yeah this was the stuff I was skeptical about. There seemed to be things that could be such crazy interesting details, but that we can’t know the full context of. And they’re just being stated as truths. I hate to talk about this podcast only having read articles about it; these are just my takes from stuff analyzing sections— but I have thoughts on Matt Jacobsen and Todd O’Neal as well. They probably did give Tartt inspiration for Bunny and Henry. Certain quotes and details seem very taken from them. And Claude Fredricks totally inspired parts of Julian and the Greek class.

That said, it seems fallacious to assume there’s a 1-to-1 comparison between these people and the characters. Just because aspects of Matt Jacobsen were seen in Bunny does not mean that everything Tartt had Bunny do was with Jacobsen in mind. Bunny is still a fictional character. She also stated here that Julian was based on her mind running wild and creating a character based on rumors about Claude Fredricks. He wasn’t literally just Claude Fredricks. Tartt also has given a huge list of books that inspired writing choices in TSH and it really checks out for certain characters. Did Donna Tartt use the fact she transferred colleges and perhaps felt like the odd man out in a Greek class when she wrote Richard? Sure. But does that mean Richard is literally her avatar and that they share every thought, and that he came from zero other inspirations— or that she never departed from herself while writing him? That’s such a stretch.

And there’s another part of this narrative that just doesn’t make much sense to me. If TSH is really a revenge story about how Donna Tartt hated her Greek class and wanted to get back at them, and Richard is her stand in to do so… why is Richard so bad? Do self indulgent revenge fantasies typically make the supposed author stand-in just as wicked as everyone else? And he ends up miserable and alone and coming to terms with that he’s not special and that he’s got California in his blood (being from Cali is a huge part of Richard and Tartt isn’t from California).

Again, I can level with the assertion that authors/artists I like are flawed (some of my favorite authors are severely flawed). But my issue here is that some of this immediately jumps out as wildly intrusive (it reminds me of a different interview where the person asks Donna Tartt a really personal question, and it really shocked me that the person didn’t feel intrusive in asking it. It’s like Tartt’s emphasis on her own privacy makes people weirdly bold.). And it definitely seems like many people in the podcast have a story they want to tell and have decided to tell, despite the discrepancies and lack of clarity. Ultimately, these people are like “please be aware we aren’t claiming this is as fact” but they’re still inserting a scandal into the world.

Finally… another thing that’s weird to me is that Tartt’s peers paint this bitter picture of her for using true happenings and facts about them in the context of her fiction, and they view it as a scummy thing. But I mean, she never addressed anyone by name, claimed a character was them, or portrayed TSH as truth about Bennington. Nobody would even know these people now or about their lives if they hadn’t revealed this stuff on the podcast. But then they go on to say stuff about Tartt that is painted as biographical and they use her real name for profit. I guess I just don’t understand how that’s not very clearly doing what they’re upset she may have done. It’s very hypocritical.

one off story time:

Divine love

You and your best friend are hanging out as usual and your friend brings up the “avatar selection day” coming up

Y/N: what’s that all about again

Friend: basically someone will be chosen to inherit an ancient god’s power or something, everyone’s freaking over it wondering who’ll win

Y/N: lol, could you imagine tho, being a god, that be crazy

Friend: also stupid i mean, what good would come from it

Y/N: you’re just saying that cuz you’d be heart broken i’d be too busy getting worshipped to hang out with you.

Friend: yeah right, like anyone would ever.

Y/N: anywho it’s getting late, i should be heading home, I’ll talk with ya tomorrow.

You and your friend head your separate ways for the day as you head back to your apartment. You open your door and are ready to go to sleep, until you look at your computer and see you have an assignment you have to finish. You’re upset at this but still do it nonetheless.

As you finish and submit the assignment it’s 11:55, you feel exhausted and don’t even bother showering and just plop into bed, hoping for at least 6 hours of sleep. You can feel each minute passing by

As soon as the clock strikes 12:00, you open your eyes. You don’t know how, you don’t know why, all you know is you’re awake and full of energy. You look around your room confused at this. You at your feet and see them at the foot of your bed, this wouldn’t be a problem normally, except for the fact you’re standing still, and your feet are now moving past the foot of your bed.

After finally realizing either everything’s shrinking or your growing, you rush out of bed and try to get out of the apartment. After squeezing and breaking the door frame, you’re out of the apartment.

You look back to see yourself still growing in comparison too your apartment. You can feel your clothes tearing apart and begin to cover your body. You think for a moment how you wish that you had clothes that fit you perfectly. Right as you finish your though, your torn clothes begin to shine and next thing you know, you’re wearing new clothes. Casual pants, a black tee, and a fancy little vest.

Your body finally stops growing after reaching the third story of your apartment. You’re extremely confused as to what on earth is happening. Then you remember the whole avatar selection thing. You’re freaking out wondering if you were actually selected. You decide to go to your friend to see what to do.

You begin running across town to get to the suburbs where your friend lives. As you begin to run, more and more people begin to notice and take pictures, you already figure the world will notice by the morning so you hurry.

After finally reaching the suburb, you jump over some houses to reach your friend asap. After finding his house you bend down to try and see if they’re awake. You don’t see any movements and as such try to wake them up without waking anyone else up.

Y/N: hello, hey, wake up, please.

You look over to see your friend’s mom awake staring you dead in your eye with shock.

Y/N: oh, heeeeyyyyy, ummm… can you uhh… wake them up please? We kinda need to talk, it’s an emergency.

Friend mom: oh, uhhh, sure, just uhhhh, give me one moment to kind of… take… this… all in.

Y/N: oh yeah, sure, take your time.

You wait a moment before hearing your friend’s mom wake them up. They open the window and are looking at you star struck more then anything.

Friend: how did…

Y/N: I-I-I don’t know, I was doing an assignment, was ready to go sleep, and not 5 minutes later, i’m up, full of energy, and I’m growing to the size of a 3 story building.

Friend: do you have any idea what could’ve caused… this?

Y/N: soooo, remember what we were talking about earlier today? The uhhh, avatar selection thingy?

Friend: yeah, what about… oh. Ohhh. OHHHH. A-are you sure it’s that?

Y/N: you got any other ideas on how THIS could’ve happened?

Friend: ummm… not really. So, what do we do?

Y/N: to be honest, i was kinda hoping you’d know what to do. I mean, I can’t just, stay outside 24/7 i’ll draw attention to the entire world.

Friend: yeah ummm… okay, hang on one second.

Your friend closes their window. You wait outside for a while and see more and more people notice you and even begin to take pictures. Not long after you see the news station pulling van pulling up to you.

Luckily right before anyone can get out of the van, your friend comes out dressed.

Friend: okay, pick me up

You gently pick your friend up with your hand and bring them close to you.

Friend: there should be a temple somewhere in the forest south of town, let’s go there and see if we can figure something out.

Y/N: okay, i’d say hold on tight, but i’m holding on to you, so let me know if i need to slow down.

As you stand up, you book it to the south of the city. You jump over houses and cars. Doing your best to not cause too much damage. You manage to make it to the forest without causing too much to the city.

Y/N: okay i think we’re good now, so i’ll take it slow

Friend: yeah… uhh… okay… sure… oh my god my heart’s racing from that

Y/N: oh god, sorry, do you need anything.

Friend: nah i… i’m good thanks.

Y/N: okay, i’ll keep going.

You walk through the forest and see the temple your friend was talking about. You both notice the large crowd of people waiting by the door entrance, with multiple people trying to push the door open with all of them failing

Y/N: how much you wanna bet one of them will say it’s their temple?

Friend: nothing, cuz they will

As you walk up multiple people try to stop you saying you aren’t allowed until they look and see you standing 3 stories tall, only to let you pass.

You place your friend down as you attempt to open the door, you barely force your hands onto the door and it begin to slowly open. You keep it up as it begins to fully open. As you keep opening the door, you hear a helicopter behind you and realize it’s the news and police.

Y/N: THE COPS ARE HERE TOO? QUICK GET IN NOW NOW NOW

You friend runs in through the door as you squeeze in the crack you made as you slam the door shut behind you two.

Friend: okay… now what?

Y/N: well, good news at least is we can wait, they can’t get it without my divine powers.

Friend: har har very funny, let’s explore this place.

Y/N: alright.

The two of you begin to walk and check the place. It’s extremely empty with outlines for what appears to be a house, but nothing in sight. You bring your friend into one of the room and look around after placing them on the counter.

Friend: god i’m hungry, isn’t there anything here

Y/N: yeah, kinda wish there was a kitchen here

As you mutter your words, the entire room changes into a kitchen, with a stove, sink, and fridge that all function.

Friend: holy… how did you?

Y/N: I- I don’t know, I just wished it was here and.. now it’s here???

Friend: try… wishing for a large bowl of never melting chocolate ice cream

Y/N: okay… i wish for a large bowl of never melting chocolate ice cream

Within second a bowl appears on a counter full of chocolate ice cream. Your friend without a second of hesitation downs the ice cream, enjoying every scoop they eat.

Friend: HAHA, IT WORKED, ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WISH IT AND IT BECOMES REAL OR TRUE.

Y/N: oh my god… or should I say, oh my me?

Friend: hey, don’t go getting too egotistical, let’s not have a Zeus moment and i have to go all kratos on you.

Y/N: HA, no offense but i could beat you with just my pinky finger, what chance you have of winning?

Friend: hey don’t underestimate me, i could take on two fingers at once

Y/N: okay, bet

You place 2 of your fingers down like legs for a fighter on the counter. You entertain him a bit, blocking and throwing soft finger blows on him only to flick him onto the counter and pin him with your fingers

Y/N: 1-2-3 Knock Out

Friend: hey, no fair, I want a rematch.

You point your finger at your friend and wish for the power to pick up objects with your mind by pointing at them. You then lift your friend up and carry them with you to the next few rooms, where you make wishes to have them be rooms you can use.

Once you reach the last room, you wish for it to be a bed room. You both watch as the walls transform into a soft shade of lavender, a large bed forms in the center, and gentle candle lights that never die out light up the room.

Y/N: huh, when I imagined a bedroom, I didn’t have this in mind, but still, it’s quite lovely wouldn’t you say?

Friend: yeah… kinda… weirdly romantical if you ask me.

Y/N: true, who knows, maybe this is where i’ll keep my ‘mates’ 24/7

Friend: pfft, yeah right

You chuck your friend onto the bed where they land directly onto a pillow. You sit down on the same side as they landed, checking on them.

Y/N: you okay? I didn’t throw you too hard did I?

Friend: hey, I’m tougher then i look, plus this pillow absorbed my entire fall somehow.

Y/N: well, I am a god, so i’d only have the softest pillows in the world.

Friend: true…

Your friend begins to yawn as they become more and more tired

Y/N: awww, is the little human sleepy? Do they want me to read them a bed time story?

Friend: hey, what’s gotten into you, you’ve never talked like this before, don’t tell me your god status got to your head already.

Y/N: not excatly, ever since you came out of your house, i’ve had this… strange obsession over you… I don’t really understand it myself but… just being around you has been making my heart flutter and I just can’t help but to tease you.

Friend: you’re weird lol, anywho, i’m gonna go to bed, night

Y/N: goodnight

You roll over to your side of the bed and attempt to fall asleep 30 minutes pass and you cannot only to remember that by becoming a god, you have infinite energy. You look over to see your friend passed out on the pillow with the blanket covering most of their body. You begin to pet them while they sleep and wonder what they’re dreaming about.

It takes you a moment to realize you can join their dream and as such wish for it. You then appear in your friends dream and see a bus on the ground, you bend down to look and see your friend sitting in the back alone. He doesn’t notice you so you pick up the bus and peel off the roof.

Y/N: surprise, did you miss me?

You friend looks up but says nothing.

Y/N: oh, i guess you aren’t fully lucid dreaming, well that’s alright, come here.

You pick up your friend and move your free hand away from the bus. You look at your friend and the bus and decide to have a little fun. You proceeded to put the bus in your mouth and swallow it in one go.

Y/N: i’d ask if you’re impressed, but your kinda unable to respond, here let me help with that

You then wish for your friend to be able to lucid dream and it works

Friend: woah, how did you get in here

Y/N: you’re seriously asking how a god got into your dream?

Friend: true… but why are you here?

Y/N: simple, I can’t sleep, having infinite energy means i no longer require rest, and as such, it got boring. So, i decided to infiltrate your dreams and have a little fun, because after all, i enjoy the time we spend together.

Friend: okay, what were you thinking of doing.

Y/N: i was thinking-

You snap you fingers as you wish for a change of area, the dream shatters and when you snap again, you and your friend are brought to a city

Y/N: -we could play a little game

Friend: a game? Sure what were you thinking?

You put your friend down as you stand up.

Y/N: well hide and seek obviously, you hide, and I’ll destroy some of the buildings in an attempt to find you

Friend: wait what? Won’t that kill me or something

Y/N: no no silly, i mean i’ll rip pieces of the buildings apart like the roof or a wall to look inside, but I won’t completely destroy them, unless-

You smash your hip into the building right beside you and it begins to crumble and fall to the ground, leaving nothing but rubble where it once stood.

Y/N: -you want it to be like that.

Friend: uhhh, yeah i’m good on the whole completely destroying buildings thing.

Y/N: okay your loss i’m gonna start counting now, so you better start running

You close your eyes as your friend runs off. After counting to 100 you wish for your friend to hear your voice as you say

Y/N: ready or not, here i come

You begin to walk around, tearing off ceilings and walls attempting to find your friend. He’s very well hidden as after tearing down multiple buildings you haven’t found him. You decided to grow another few feet to try and see if you can spot your friend. You notice one of the towering skyscrapers and have an idea on where he’s hidden.

You walk towards the towers as you grow taller and taller, until towering over the massive skyscrapers. While you can’t see them, you know they’re here on the roof, you poke behind the roof door and push your friend out from hiding.

Y/N: found you

Friend: hey, no fair, that’s cheating

Y/N: cheating, well I think hiding at the top of a tall building I can’t get in is cheating in my book, but you don’t hear me complaining.

Your friend begins to pout over the loss.

Y/N: awww, you’re so cute when you’re upset, come here

You grab your friend and close your hand around them. You then proceeded to lie down on the city and destroy a few buildings you then place your friend on your chest as you hit the ground

Y/N: so what do you want to do now?

Friend: I… don’t really know to be honest… maybe we can just… watch the sunset together?

Y/N: sure, hold on one second as a I change the environment a bit.

You snap your fingers and wish for a mountain to appear. Right as you do that a mountain grows in the middle of the city, under you. You also kick down the skyscraper as to clear the view from the beach. You then lie your back on the mountain and hold your friend gently on your chest as the 2 of you watch the sunset.

Friend: really, you couldn’t have just changed the area, you had to do this?

Y/N: what? This is more fun, besides, look at this view

Friend: yeah, this is… beautiful.

Y/N: you wanna just lie here and watch it until the morning?

Friend: yes, please.

Y/N: your wish is my command.

The two of you lie there, watching, and taking in each other’s presence. Enjoying the moment

Friend: hey… can I ask you something?

Y/N: of course, you can ask me anything… literally.

Friend: okay, ummm… do you… can you… will you… n-nevermind.

Y/N: come on, you can ask me.

Friend: n-no i’ve changed my mind, I don’t want to ask, it’s inappropriate.

Y/N: if it’s to make you more attractive, you’re already adorable and pretty so I don’t see much else in improving.

Friend: it’s not that, I just… don’t feel strong enough to ask you it.

Y/N: if you don’t ask it, i’ll make you say it

Friend: wait… what?

Y/N: i can feel your heart racing and your mind stressing over this question, I want you to just be happy, not worried or stressed. So either ask the question to get it off your chest, or i’ll make you.

Friend: N-no, you can’t just force me to do something cuz you’re a god now.

Y/N: this isn’t about wether on not it’s right or wrong, i just want you to be okay, so please, just tell me, because i’d rather not force you too, but i will if i must.

Friend: NO

Y/N: please, don’t make me

Friend: DON’T

You both stars silently at one another before getting ready to speak

Y/N: i wish-

Friend: don’t you dare

Y/N: -that you-

Friend: stop, please

Y/N: -would tell me-

Friend: I’M IN LOVE WITH YOU AND I WANT TO GO ON A DATE OKAY?

You both are shot out of his dream and back into the temple on the bed. You see your friend crying as he shoots up.

Y/N: hey…

Friend: no, stop, okay, i said it, are you happy?

Y/N: well, yes and no

Friend: yes and no, what do you mean yes and no?

Y/N: can you give me a moment to explain why?

Friend: fine… you have a minute but when you’re done i’m leaving

You kiss you friend on the side of their head, and wipe away their tears with your finger

Y/N: i’m happy because you finally said what’s been bothering you, but i’m also sad to know you’ve kept that bottled up for who knows how long. If i had only known sooner… why didn’t you tell me sooner?

Friend: … i’d figure you wouldn’t be interested, i mean, dating the person you’ve known since you were a baby and see more as family then a friend would’ve been weird right?

Y/N: come here

You pick up your friend and kiss them again before holding them close to comfort them.

Y/N: yes i see you as family, but i also love you too, I would’ve understood all those years ago too because… I don’t just love you like family, I love you also.

Friend: r-really?

Y/N: yes, i’ve just felt… more confident about showing that side of me ever since tonight. Since well, i felt like i could give everything you could ever desire.

Friend: wow… heh, looks like we both needed this huh?

You kiss the top of your friend’s head again.

Y/N: yeah i guess we both did

Friend: can… can i kiss you, please?

Y/N: of course

You bring your friend up to your lips where the kiss you, right as they’re done you kiss them right back.

Y/N: how about this, you can go and in the morning you can come back and we can go on a date?

Friend: that sounds nice… but…

Y/N: but?

Friend: can I… stay here please?

Y/N: of course, i just figured you needed to get some fresh air after what happened, if you want to stay, you’re more then welcome to the whole bed by yourself if you like.

Friend: thank you… for everything

Y/N: you’re welcome, and… i’m sorry for almost making you say all that without your permission, it was wrong and I hope you can forgive me.

Friend: well, you were right, I do feel better after saying everything, so i forgive you, just… can you stay in bed with me tonight… please?

Y/N: yes baby, i’ll stay with you as long as you like.

Friend: thank you.

You lay your little lover back onto their pillow, and cover them gently with a blanket. You kiss them one last time before they go to bed.

Lover: goodnight honey

Y/N: goodnight baby, i love you

Renaissance and Revival-era Disney movies that I wish had different directors, writers, and/or songwriters

I'm a big fan of Stephen's work for Disney, and I was really shocked to learn he was the original person intended for Mulan's soundtrack. However, due to Disney having an issue with him working for Dreamworks at the same time, they decided to remove him from the project. Given how Schwartz has a talent for making really epic, dramatic songs, it feels like "Mulan" should've been up there in scale with "Pocahontas" and "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" due to the trinity's dark vibes and storylines.

Desired Songwriter(s):Stephen Schwartz

I personally found the songs in the film to be very lackluster. "Mother Knows Best" is AMAZING (and it's reprise is the best Disney villain song, I swear), but that's about it. Nothing else drew me in or stood out to me musically. Given Stephen's track record with me, I think I'd be replaying this soundtrack more often if he put his magic into it. We can keep Alan Menken as the composer, though.

Let's say that due to the lack of Asian-centric media in the west and Raya's story of uniting divided lands, Disney already foresaw the potential comparisons and rather than skating around to dodge them, they decided to do one better by having the original creators of "Avatar: The Last Airebender" direct the film, with the end goal to make it almost like a spiritual successor to ATLA but still something distinct, and the directors' emphasis on finding a clear direction for the SEA story and wroking with the SEA screenwriters would've made for a stronger narrative--and it's likely Raya would've had a different personality/design to avoid comparisons to Katara and Korra.

Lin-Manuel Miranda probably feels like a repetitive choice, and I'm unsure if he would've felt comfortable working on RATLD and "Encanto" at the same time (they were released the same year, btw), but I do feel like given his involvement with two animated Disney films (and two live-action films later down the road), he's essentially one of the people kept on Disney's list of people to use, similar to how the renaissance era used Alan Menken, Howard Ashman, and Stephen Schwartz a lot. Plus his music with James Newton Howard's score would make the world stop--plus this AND "Encanto" coming out the same year would definitely break records in box office for COVID films (Raya testing the waters first, with it's success encouraging more people to see "Encanto" in theaters).

Don't laugh, and don't judge me. I've wanted a Hayao Miyazaki-directed Disney for a LONG time--I was hoping that it'd be one inspired by Japanese culture, but it doesn't matter as long as he brings his creativity--that said, that probably means he should be the screenwriter for the film as well, at the very least in collaboration with Jennifer Lee and Fawn Veerasuthorn. If you know his filmogrpahy, you know he comes up with beautiful and thought-provoking cinema, and "Wish" is exactly what that should've been. Plus he said his favorite Disney films are "The Little Mermaid" and "Peter Pan," so I take that as a green light for Disney's anniversary film! Plus it could open up the door for him to direct/write future Disney films based on the film's box office and Hayao's experience working with the company (which I PRAY would be positive).

MIIIIGHT as well do it now! I got some ideas in fresh in my mind! Granted, this will be decently sized list of what I envision!

The Sora experience you could say.

SHOW YER STUFF SORA.

I'll keep it under a read more due to length length

Ragnarok/Union Ragnorok: This remains entirely unchanged. It's been he's carried within him since 1 as a Limit ability originally. Only thing I'd change is that instead of one prismatic sphere of light, it'd total up to 13 at max before releasing a hellstorm of fiery light.

King of Hearts: Instead of being a projectile attack at all. What this does is allow Sora to tap deeper into his affinity of connections. Whether it's with spellwork, his surroundings, or with others. This would naturally amplify the potency of all of his abilities.

This needs caution however as this ability and his Rage Form promotes a very dangerous line of being out of control.

Drain Shock: Primarily unchanged from its concept. When activated however, all electricity based functions (beings bio electricity included) can be fashioned into healing energy for him to absorb. It's an a particular alternative to his regen spells.

Atomic Deluge: Keeps the same in terms of it's presence. However the way Sora utilizes is based on the principles of nuclear energy. Primarily will be used in the form of blast, rays, so on and so forth instead of letting it spray out in a wild shower.

Ghost Horde/Phantom Rush: These will be a two for one package. Taking the practice from his usage of Light Avatars in the Mirage Drop formchange, Sora instead allows for his clones to be spiritual apparitions fashioned from the excess energy of his soul. They're a lot more malleable in comparison as he has an easier time manipulating these than pure light clones.

Primarily used for long ranged attacking, surrounding foes, and also wrestling away forces that attempt to possess a body. Noted, this doesn't work for beings who outright take over the Heart like Xehanort does in his brand of higher scaled possession. This was inspired during his constant run in with Possessor Heartless from KH2.

Drill Dive/Warp Trick/Zone Connector: These three are also unchanged from their concept. Being inspired and learned from his encounters of Xigbar, he's created his alteration of this ability through Shotlocking. He primarily loves to fling himself through multiple portals, yet, this can go for elemental abilities, Strike raids, and even other allies too if they work on such a combo idea.

Shimmering Drops: This is an ability that directly steal a user's life force. Long as they remain in Sora's line of sight, this ability can be executed seamlessly. It's an ability that forcefully rips away that vitality in order to fuel his own.

However this ability can be used to make incredibly potent healing elixirs when aimed at the world itself. Through taking the excess of nature energy, it's refined and forged into the enriched waters of life. Similar to the Healing Light, this scale of healing magic can allow vitality and limb to be restored to either himself or another of his choosing.

This was inspired from Rapunzel's hair blessed by the Sundrop. However, it can by no means be as that potential as to give eternal youth and other benefits.

Spectral Rays: Unchanged! This works perfectly as it is.

Snakebite: Also remains largely unchanged. Compared to other spells however, this can be used in conjunction with Drain Shock and also linger longer as a homing type of attack. True to their name, these manifested magical snakes will not hesitate to cleave you with their jaw strength.

Diamond Dust: This pays homage to Shiva's OG use of the spell instead. Here can be a good example of such!

The Blizzard tree of spells is instead focused into a more crystalline light focus of energy. It can be expanded as either chilling airs or in a focused beam, that allows for pure frost to gradually sweep over and eclipse it's target entirely if caught within the brunt of it. With how mana it is, this also holds the capacity to explode via Sora's signal.

Frozen Crescents: Unchanged. It can just be used within any form changed (or not) weapon as it's just a volley of ice charged slashes. It either cuts through them with the elemental, or sweeps in a way to encase them entirely. This can be used in conjunction with Diamond Dust.

Honey Burst/Drizzle, Sweet Surprise - Literally Sora flinging magically enhanced Honey at you. lol. While this doesn't do damage outside of the momentum it's flung at you. It's property as an advanced adhesive would get you into quite the sticky situation!

Meteor Shower: Remains unchanged! This is just Sora condensing his mana into the whimsical shape of stars to launch at his opponents.

Cluster Cannonade: Within his Magic Launcher Formchange, this has two variances. He either allows the gargantuan mana blast to be transformed into a miniature volley of blast that proceeds to carpet bomb a certain area.

In another vein, he'd proceed to focus the potency of that energy if there's a particularly durable foe and proceed to use it as a massive nuke instead, going for raw damage output. Such an attack would normally be made by airborne means, as he's not trying to bring destruction that large scale to the surroundings.

This can be casted/dual casted with elements as well.

Cubic Stream: While the attack itself remains a normal volley blast. The specialty comes in it's properties, being forged from his bond with Hiro from San Fransokyo. These microbots hold the ability to potentially hack and dismantle machine based opponents. It'll serve as a viral threat to androids who can't withstand it either.

This can also be used to hack technological systems even if Sora doesn't hold the knowledge. (It'll mainly be used as a means to either lock or unlock functions, keeping true to the Keyblade.)

Blade Storm: Remains unchanged from it's original as a volley of Aero based blades. However, natural empowerment allows for each blade to explode into a miniature tornado that either remains sky high or at ground level. If blades are able to converge on the other hand, it allows for a massive tornado to spawn and rip any opponent before him asunder..

Flag Rampage: Remains unchanged! It's an attack that cleaves with more focus force, using the Aero elemental tree in order to violently increase the cutting potency.

Blades of the Round: This ability in itself gets an overhaul. As it's an ability used with Ancient Light, Sora allows himself to conjure facsimile Keyblades from the ancient past of KHUX. They will be at the maximum refinement and be used levitating blades that attack in conjunction with his attacks. They're dedicated to the Light element and used for their lethal attack potency. (At that scale that are able to cleave through concentrations of Demon Waves stacked together.)

Infinity Circle: Remains entirely unchanged. As one of the strongest attacks of Sora's arsenal, it's a culmination of primal light focused, refined and set to utterly decimate his foes once the actual attack is fashioned through spellcircles and crystals. For an attack of this spell, he'd normally make an entirely separate dimensional space or get his opponent teleported to the deep depth of spaces before letting it off.

And this is while it's within his state of freshly acquiring it. It's nowhere near mastered.

Sunray Blast: This would be of the higher branches of the Fire elemental tree. By treating himself like a solar panel, he'd come to concentrate a high volume of sunlight into a concentrated blast. (Think of it akin to solar beam from the Pokemon series), weaving it together with mana, this is either to burn away foes with high regenerative properties, or to tackle especially enchanted ice.

Or! Simply just being in a place that as a high wealth that can be made used of. (Agrabah's deserts come to mind.)

Bladefury Eclipse: This falls into the inverse of the Blades of the Round. Darkness enchanted blades fashioned of his own making, still going by the same idea of telekinetic swordplay. It's another way he comes to channel his Dark Form/Rage Forms into a potent attack instead. In turn, this holds the potential to enrage his foes via Rage Form's Heartless physiology, momentarily infecting his foes and throwing their emotional state into disarray.

Stellar Inception: This is another one of those abilities that have the same caveats as Infinity Circle. Under no circumstances would Sora ever proceed to use this ability on a planet. Only in specialized realms or in space, whether made by his hand, another or the Darkness itself. (Kingdom Hearts included in the count of realms) By ripping open a portal to the depths of space itself, he'll proceed gather underneath his will and command, then proceed to launch literal dying stars towards his opponent, just as they're being condensed into the nova phase.

This is an ability that's again reserved for opponents of the highest caliber

Keyblade Wielders holding the means to hold their ground against the Grand Creative of Kingdom Hearts itself, have the means to be a cataclysmic force upon multiple universes if carelessly wielding this strength. It's by working with a universe's natural protections via the Light that a lot of their battles can be safely performed.

It also demands a particular brand of mastery to responsible use such strength as well. As their natural enemy; The Heartless, have the same means to utterly devour universes into their very realm by going for World Heart that rests within each one.

Djinni/Genie Otherkin

From time to time I think about this. Mostly because the type of djinn I see within me is from I Dream of Jeannie where they blink with a quick nod of the head, whether with their arms crossed up before them or not. Their power is absolute, like it was for Jeannie in the first season of the TV show. I dismiss the constant dumbing down of both her power and her intellect as the seasons progressed, thanks to network suits who were somehow intimidated by her power. So, yeah, non-canon. What I have come to know, like a form of gnosis, is that I have something like an archetype of Djinni in my most basic soul, or Higher Self. She is the same kind of djinni as in that old 1960s era TV show, blinks with the very same magic-sounds, dresses similarly to Jeannie’s sister, Jeannii (written as “Jeannie II” in scripts, but as a writer I find that too awkward to have a character even say, must less mentally tag it for her), though her Djinni-Color is slightly different. Sea-greens for her, named Erica, a brunette, and of a physical, facial, and clothing-style kind of beauty known only to the Djinn (the most beautiful humans are a distant second in comparison). There is a Hungarian actress who looks almost like Erica, and they share the same first name, with different spellings. I was as shocked as anyone to have that recognition upon first seeing her, but body-doubles are certainly a thing in this world of ours. Erica is my inner Djinni, just as Gryneos is my inner Centaur. He’s definitely a centaur archetype of my Higher Self, so I feel this is at least a thing with me. Makes me wonder how much the concept of archetype is a fact for all Otherkin, too. The other thing all of this makes me ponder is among the I Dream of Jeannie community, just how many fans of the show might also be Otherkin as any of the characters, especially of Jeannie, Jeannii, Mama-Jeannie, Marilla, Aunt Fatima, Jeannie’s possible younger sister, the djinni-wife of her brother and mother of baby Abdullah, and any other djinn of the show I have forgotten to mention. Some might even be Otherkin as humans from the show, such as Tony, Roger, Dr. Bellows and Amanda Bellows. I just have never seen any of the fans ever mention such a thing, so I wonder too if they would be so open as to admit it as we Otherkin have around here. There are other djinn within my Other Lives as those beings, so not all are from I Dream of Jeannie. Most are, but there are others, including the centaur-djinni reality of my avatar here, Arjhan. I know I promised to tell more about him, and I’ll do that eventually. Erica has just been on my mind more intimately lately, which just means that I sense her wanting to be written out of me more often.

Netflix's Avatar The Last Airbender thoughts part 1/5)

so... atla live action, huh. after finishing season 1, here are my thoughts in bulletpoint format; it's very long and most of it is spoiler-y, so it's under a cut. (and also in 4 more posts after this). fun fact i spent most of my day writing this, clearly ATLA is very important to me

my general opinion is pretty much "not as bad an adaptation as it could've been but not all that much to see here, on its own OR as an ATLA adaptation"

this is also obviously biased, i'm watching as someone who adores the OG ATLA, but in my comparisons, i'm trying my best to stay away from "they didn't did it the same way = bad" and compare the two in their intentions and execution in what they were trying to do and how they made me feel, but i may fail at that here and there because i have strong feelings.

visuals: this is the easy thing to praise; other than the nighttime scenes, the visuals are pretty well done. i mean... it's a lot of cgi, and it looks like cgi. but, well, i haven't seen big panning shots of fantasy cities done irl since LotR, and i'd be proper shocked if we ever saw them being done again. i thought the cgi was alright, the big shots of the cities were pretty. i really liked the bending as well, it had impact, both the moves and the visual effects of it were reminiscent of the animated show. also also, they did the thing!!! in the siege of the north!!! with the fish and the red and the blue and Yue's eyes!!!! yes yes. made me very happy.

tone: as expected, they went for a darker tone; it's the same fallacy as it always is: making something sadder, edgier and more brutal doesn't actually make it more grown-up. we all know how this one goes, and NATLA is no exception. it's a shame, since one of the greatest strengths of ATLA was that it could maintain a balance of being silly, heartwarming, tragic and epic at the same time. this show does have some great moments of levity, and there is definitely a heart that shines through, despite this being a lot heavier in tone, but it's not quite as well balanced as the OG

starting on "100 years ago": while i'm of the opinion that we didn't really need to see any of this, i think it could've been a great choice if used in the right ways; that is to show how Aang's life used to be joyful and carefree, by showing him having fun with other kids instead of being very much either alone or with Gyatso. as it stands i think they focused a little too much on showing the war itself as opposed to Aang and the airbenders

battle of the air temple: i liked the whole "comet festival" idea - i think it's a good way to explain how basically nobody escaped the genocide. i know the comics also give a good explanation, i'm frankly okay with either. the one thing i didn't love about the battle is what i usually don't love about battle scenes these days, even though it's a small thing: in the beginning we're only shown the airbenders winning and then it's suddenly flipped and it's only the firebenders winning. i wish more battle scenes showed changing odds, like we see both sides winning encounters up to a point and then it starts becoming obvious who's faring better. it's a small point but it would've made the battle far more interesting. it is also a questionable decision to make it a battle specifically, even though we know the air nomads were peaceful people - if Aang is to serve as an example, perhaps to the point of fault. however, this didn't bother me as much as i've seen it bother some other people

Gyatso: i loved him. we saw more of him now than we have before, and i thought he stayed very true to who he was shown to be in the original series. i adored his interactions with Aang. the spirit world stuff was sort of a cop-out; i think i wouldn't have minded it as much if it happened later, but part of the tragedy of what happened during the comet is that Aang doesn't get to talk to anyone he lost, he doesn't get to be told that he's done nothing wrong and be forgiven, he has to forgive himself and process his guilt without being able to talk to the people he's "let down". regardless, Gyatso was a very good mentor figure and the show does a good job of showing just how tragic his loss is to Aang

"we want GoT fans to like this": watching some of the scenes in this first section is ringing "we want fans of game of thrones to enjoy this show" bells, i mean i generally don't mind graphic violence much, i just don't super vibe with it in an ATLA adaptation, and they hold no punches here. also it's so. fucking. dark. in the sense of lighting? hello??? can i see the show i'm trying to watch??? pls??? i lowered the blinds and put my monitor on max brightness and i could still barely see details in nighttime scenes, throughout the whole show. very GoT, good job /s

animal companions: Momo is still nightmare fuel. i'm sorry. he's not cute, he's TERRIFYING. and seeing how he's barely in any scenes, at this point they could've just left him out and spare us the nightmares. tbh Appa has the same problem, but Appa looks much less like a sleep paralysis demon and has more cute moments, even though he's criminally underused.

acting: i'm pretty happy with everyone. i'm not saying they're all putting forth the performances of their lives, but they're all serviceable, i see problems in performance as being more in the exact script and direction than what the actors are doing. my favourite by far though is Ian Ousley's Sokka. very well done young sir, good job!

Sukka: i really enjoy 99% of Sokka and Suki's scenes together, they have a good chemistry, they're both so awkward and clearly have no idea how to talk to each other. however, i hate the little interaction where Sokka is cleaning himself up and Suki is like... creeping on him, idk, that one felt uncomfortable. every time i see a scene like this i kind of consider hey, what would people be saying if the gender roles were reversed? well we all know that. anyway, other than that, i loved watching their awkward teen mutual crush. i also loved watching them fight together against the fire nation soldiers. i actually thought they had more chemistry here than they did in the Kyoshi Island episode in the OG show, i always felt that Suki's interest came out of nowhere at the end of the episode in ATLA, and that they only really hit it off from book 2 onward

the state of the world: i like that there is more of a distrust of strangers in this adaptation - these are people who've lived their entire lives in a war-torn world, used to danger closing in from all sides, they'd be suspicious of any outsiders, and a lot of them would be vary, similar to Suki's mom, to the danger that harbouring the Avatar could bring. i also like how they used the situation to emphasize how Aang is pretty much the only person left who knows what it's like to live in a unified, peaceful world, where people travel and know other cultures

when it comes 2 abortion & question of when life begins, as brought up again w/Alabama 's perspective on frozen embryos, we need 2 treat question of "when life begins" on a granular level. It's not when a clonable body is born, but when a mind, a soul, a personality is born. A body is a vessel for the immortal soul, the very Breath of Life from God, as given to Adam.

If we can take the THC out of marijuana for legal consumer use, I wish they'd do something about the smell. Maybe that's the illegal marijuana? I don't know, never smoked it...but the smell is recognizable and now common in parking lots, outside stores, in neighborhoods...

Guardians of the Galaxy ( #GuadiansOfTheGalaxy ) is a feel good movie about family/friend/adventure I can watch again & again on cable. It isn't explicitly playful or innocent, or tries as hard like in Thor: Love & Thunder . Can't wait till Avengers 5 or whichever number is next.

・Starts to purr when you touch him. He starts doing it within seconds. You don’t say anything about it until he coughs, trying to disguise it

・Scares you by suddenly moving his tail. You were so focused on being respectful that it made you jump. It made you laugh though, but sparked a million more questions about how tails work -

“So you can control it? What does it feel like? Is it considered another limb? Can you pick things up with it? Is it for balance?”

・Does his best to answer your questions but he has to think deeply about it because it’s natural to him.

・Tries to explain things by using your body as an example (but his sentence trails off because he gets lost in thought while staring at your body...)

・Mimics you when you start prodding and poking at different parts of his body

・While you trace his ears, he moves your hair to do the same.

・Smirks, but is also deeply blushing whenever you mutter “wow”

・A lot of tail swishing when you’re looking at his fangs. He’s in a mixed mindset - embarrassment, excitement, eagerness ...

・When you’re doing this investigation, you get him from standing to sitting (because he’s so tall). You grab onto his arm and pull him downward, so you’re eye to eye

・ You cock your head from side to side, looking at his facial features. Your fingers run from his forehead over his nose and down to his chin
