it just occurred to me that id:invaded, psycho-pass, and kamonohashi ron are in like some sort of bizarre polycule i mean like

like id:invaded & psycho-pass very similar in many ways which i cannot articulate without major spoilers for both series lol, then id:invaded & kamonohashi ron being mysteries featuring a brilliant detective with the same very specific ummm defect, then kamonohashi ron and psycho-pass having the same character designer*

so it's like ron has narihisago's damage but narihisago acts like kougami but kougami looks like** ron there's some sort of three-way venn diagram to be had here like does anyone understand my vision!!

*sort of, kamonohashi ron anime character design is apparently by someone else but original character designs are by its mangaka amano akira who also did original character designs for psycho-pass **i mean they don't literally look alike but recognizably same art style

which is sort of but not really tied into why i’m sort of ???? about the particular kind of fic writers that will write like. Exclusively niche stuff that they enjoy specifically (rarepairs, weirds AUs, specific kinks) and then get upset that they don’t get much interaction in comments or kudos. like, my guy, this is what we signed up for when we wrote the ship only three people know about. you can’t be upset that you’re not raking in hundreds of clicks when you specifically chose to do the unpopular thing you were interested in. it’s fine not to have a lot of attention, you gotta get used to it happening, even if you think you worked real hard on a fic and it deserves it.
