now on one hand. six of crows should’ve been one whole season and crooked kingdom an entirely different one. i’m talking like 40 min episodes, 12 episodes per season. weekly releases where the fandom goes feral each week because oh my god. are they finally going to let kaz and inej TRULY LOOK at each other? FLESHED OUT character arcs and slow burns that… actually slow burn and make you want to cry and scream and tear your heart out.

Reading these updates on Twitter and it's like "This is the new way Matt Jag and Bowie Jane have decided to be awful." Jfc. Ultimately I think this season is going to end up mid to lower tier. The live feeds and first half of the season were super fluid and wild. But ultimately it's marred by bad twists, almost all the men being horrible, horrible comp design, and a suboar ending. I truly believe the zombie twist/Izzy's boot destroyed the momentum of this game and it never really picked back up. Which bums me out because I do think this is a pretty okay cast.

Went to the RSC's production of A Midsummer Night's Dream starring Mat Baynton as Bottom this evening. As we crossed into Warwickshire a road sign that was clearly not quite high enough off the ground welcomed us to Shakespeare's cunty, and that was foreshadowing because the show SERVED

Kingdom seems unusually subdued on the matter‚ despite having#been an officer involved in the original case 12yrs ago; no bleeding heart monologues here‚ nor wringing of hands over whether an injustice#has been done. indeed‚ he never really offers an opinion on whether or not he was or is convinced of the man's guilt or innocence#it's quite out of sorts for the character‚ who might normally have been expected to vigorously defend his previous conduct or to lament his#youth and inexperience in a poorly handled case. instead he says nothing‚ and skulks about concentrating on the modern day#killing. perhaps he's still shaken up by the events of the previous week‚ tho i doubt it (there isn't a great amount of reference between#episodes in this series and mostly they're very self contained to date). no big faces in the guest cast tho i always appreciate Heathcote#an undervalued actor who rarely got the kind of meaty roles he deserved (nor did he here alas)#this same year Hamon appeared in the superb To Encourage the Others‚ another tale of legal injustice‚ as Derek Bentley's co defendant#Christopher Craig‚ in Alan Clarke's incendiary dramatisation of the Bentley murder trial

as much as I adore the game I will accept the gameplay isn't for everyone
but the story is so worth it
#you want found family? here it is#watch a playthrough on YT if you have to#and yes it might take a while for the gears to get going story-wise. but so it is with 99% of rpgs#the character development of the cast is SUPERB#it is exactly what you'd exprct from a FF story#FFXIII-2 also a banger game but it helped for me that i got obsessed with a side characters design#in the original XIII. and it just so happened that character became the protag of the next one LOL#but also noel baby boy. and caius one of the best FF villains i will not be accepting criticism#anyway. people love to hate the game but i have a controversial opinion on why that likely is#and id probably get mauled for stating it :-)#also the soundtrack (the thing that spurred this post on) is stellar. masashi hamauzu popping off as usual#but yeah. give it a chance. its a wonderful story of fighting fate while dealing with grief#amongst other things but tag character limit you understand#i will take this moment to share something about me i find so funny#my preferred name is snow. there's a character in XIII called snow.#i did not pick the name from him. he's actually my least favourite character in XIII LMFAOOOO#i appreciate how his character was built and i understand it. i just dont mesh well with overly brash hero types#(its why i didnt like kingsglaive.... sorry nyx)#all of the cast are so interesting with unique depths to them... even snow! and before i have to throttle anyone#that also means hope estheim too. grips you menacingly. that is a child facing the horrors .#ummm oops i be yapping again. my bad

the fact that they found the perfect claudia actress two times in a row really is so amazing to me. like, bailey leaving could’ve destroyed the entire show but instead she neatly tossed the baton to delainey who knew exactly what to do with it
just beautiful performances from the both of them, all the time. i feel so blessed

Watched the first three episodes of the Avatar live action remake
It's.... interesting
#its not a good show ill say that much#but i cant say im not enjoying it#i think its almost so bad its good???#kind of?#bc there are things i genuinely actually really like about it#the costuming is amazing and the fight scenes and bending are all pretty well done#the casting is also largely spot on#and any scene with zuko and iroh is just superb#but god#the writing is so bad#esp in the first episode yeesh#and the pacing is a fucking wreck#also god they just#do so little with katara its shameful#idk man its such a weird show#ill have more coherent thoughts when i finiish the full season#avatar the last airbender

Reading through Catching Fire and realizing just based on Katniss’ description that President Snow smells similar but marginally better than Henry the VIII since he lacks the scent of pus
#I hate snow but also I love when he gets introduced in this book cause then there’s like a tangible antagonist to keep in mind#unlike before where it’s the whole system that’s the enemy which is still true but now you have someone to stand for it#and maybe even take the fall for it wink wink#also I will never not imagine Donald Sutherland thanks to those movies like superb casting what a wonderful man but an unnerving portrayal#the hunger games#catching fire

Seriously I know I say this constantly but please if you’re looking for a Halloween game I can and would recommend many depending on taste and horror level but my default would be Little Hope always. Don’t let the Krampus Syndrome scare you away it’s a king shit video game like it’s unbelievably good.
