All the items you'll need to recreate The upstairs of the Paradise Planning office in your TS4 game. Most items came with only 1 swatch each. 💡As always, turning the brightness down on my functional lamps will make them look better (not overly bright) due to my vertex paint issue in Blender. I am trying to figure the issue out.

Always suggested: bb.objects ON, it makes placing items much easier. For further placement tweaking, check out the TOOL mod.

Use the scale up & down feature on your keyboard to make the items larger or smaller to your liking. If you have a non-US keyboard, it may be different keys depending on which alphabet it uses.

Shul question of the day: why are there so many books on our free book table... Is there a jewish book fairy that goes to each shul to give us an excessive amount of books or is my shul just filled with eccentric book collectors who collect very niche books on judaism and need to get rid of them before they take over their entire house

I am having writing thoughts but cannot actually get in the mindspace to write right now so you get rambles.

Something I see often is a mindset of "this is fanfic, if you read this you know what things look like" and like. Maybe I forgot. Tell me again.

Maybe you’re writing a crossover (like I do pretty much all the time) and you need to take into account that people unfamiliar with one of the fandoms will be curious enough to read the story anyway, and it is much better to take them by hand and show them why you put those fandoms together than to make them drop the fic because they can't get on board with it even if they try.

As for originals. It can be so hard to visualize something that doesn't look like a stock photo for me, hence why I almost exclusively draw things related to my stories. When relevant that includes house layouts and layouts of specific rooms. Because I need to know how to move the little dolls in my brain.

Having been places similar to what I wanna write also really really helps me bringing locations to life. I know what catacombs feel like. I know what castle ruins feel like, and rafting and fields at night and the beach after the sun has gone down.

this is an insane way to take something too personally but i am rereading ntn and am. secretly still mad/sad about one specific post from when it came out about how the Deep Wrongness we All Feel about paul is because within the gender framework of the book, it is about how being a transgender person who wants to cut their hair and have an androgynous body and leave behind their gendered history is Tempting But Deeply Wrong, an Intrinsic Falseness that if it could ever succeed makes you a Stranger To Your Family, not Good Real Authentic Transness which is Inherently Inescapably Historied And Messy and deep down we all know that and that’s why we all can agree that paul is a creepy fantasy that makes you feel bad

which, like, i get that op of that post was doing stuff about like. the literary meaning of paul in the context of the book and starting from explaining a feeling of uncanniness and also somewhat discussing their personal gender journey, but it did just um. honestly it hurt my feelings

Having my commissions closed in anticipation of being busy is starting to seem really bad right now (<- no job) but i'm going to actually start being really really busy literally tomorrow so I probably can't reopen them at this point now. Does anyone want to give me like 40 dollars for no reason in exchange for nothing even though there's obviously far better uses of 40 dollars constantly surrounding you from all angles all the time. Should I like start selling IOUs for drawings and then we can all be really miserable when I have to draw all of them at once at least a month later when the money is already gone (The cruel nature of groceries)
