Some time ago now, I wrote a fanfic.

It was for the Bluey fandom.

Now, I know that's a whacky start. As someone who loves this show, I was somewhat surprised - and yet not - about the state of Bluey fanfic. It was all aged up, messed up relationships, strange adult things. But this story isn't about Bluey, not really. It's about little connections in this world.

The story I wrote was a rare one in this fandom, apparently. The characters being the ages they were in the show. A somewhat show-friendly version of a deep and serious mental health issue - rejection sensitive dysphoria.

I wrote this fic for a few reasons. Prinicipal was because I had presented those symptoms, as a child, and not found out what was going on until well into my adulthood. I had lived with this awful condition, and just - thinking it was normal, that I had to tolerate this.

I churned out most of the fic in a day, and then it sat, untouched on my laptop, for over a month. I couldn't think of an ending. But this thought, of this kid's show with it's open discussions of trauma and challenges, of presenting this story here, it wouldn't leave me alone. I tacked on what I thought was a weak ending, flung it into the world, and left it to be. And so it was. An occasional kudo or small comment, but nothing major.

Then one day, months after posting, I get that little ping from Ao3, and open an email to a wall of text. This person has read my fic. They've realised, through this, through this kid's show fanfic connection, that it's what they're going through. In fact, they've come back, to leave me a comment, to say, hey, thank you. Thank you for this. Thank you for giving me a name for it, thank you for helping me identify it, realise I'm not broken.

And this comment now, it's going to live with me forever. Fucking forever. This honestly from someone I don't know, who doesn't know me, who found a thousand words in a small fandom buried amongst strange and fascinating and baffling thing, and who is changed because of me saying hey - I want someone else to know.

This is a long post, but I just - felt the need to talk about it. Never doubt the work you're making has purpose. It's always better to put something into the world than to be so obsessed with perfection that nobody else experiences it. You might change someones life.

Yeah but Stay Away from that fandom. They're much toxic and bad. Bluey is almost the same but they're much friendly. Plus the shows dead anyways so there's no point to watch that show anyways and the fandom is a furry version of TLH Fandom (they like incest ships and pedo stuff which ruins the image of their show).

TOH Fandom is almost the same toxic though they're far from being bad than those bafoons.

If I had a nickel for every dead show I watch and rewatch and every toxic person I find in the respective fandoms, I'd probably be able to afford decent food for me and my family for at least 6 months and wouldn't be severely underweight right now XD I could even make a list, but I'm currently busy preparing the last exam for my online class tonight. Also no idea what the TLH stands for.

As I said in my previous answer: If you curate your online experience, if you watch where you step, you can go anywhere you want to.

Wanna know how many problematic people I've found in the Paw Patrol fandom so far, considering I've joined this fandom for barely six months? Well. No such thing as a clean fandom. Know how to navigate through their contents. I'm doing just fine.

Also I'll watch and enjoy as many dead shows as I'll want to. I'm here for the content I like and want to see, not for waiting for the next episode to air or to depend on the fandom for anything. If I'd want to watch something just to wait for next episodes eternally, I'd be watching One Piece XD

Besides the Paw Patrol fandom is pretty much dead on creating content too. We're lacking good fanfics on AO3 or FF.Net, there's only a handful Tumblr bloggers posting regularly and another handful drawing fanarts aside from me, apparently. One of my friends tried to host a couple weeks of posting content about Chase and Rocky recently and it kinda flopped for lack of people to do anything about it, despite being free to draw or write or do anything really. Trying to get the Paw Patrol fandom to create new content DESPITE THE SHOW STILL GOING ON is like beating a dead horse. This fandom is as dead as the next one.

And at this point, because I'm old and tired and going through the same shit; different fandom-cycle of the tomfuckery that was bronies/adult MLP fans being treated like Public Enemy #1 is as enticing as chewing sandpaper, I will just go back to a previous point.

The internet, despite three social media tycoons trying to buy everything and purge anything 'risque' is a hellscape at the end of the day. You aren't going to be able to stop people being weird or freaky or horny. The best things you can do are either start a Safe-Search Wrap-Up like bronies did, make sure that people are properly tagging their weirder content when it comes down to kid-friendly IPs (yes, this also includes people being horny on main for Bandit and Chili), and not using the internet as a babysitter.

About me:

I regress mainly to cope with/due to stress as well as to get back some of the years I couldn't take advantage of.

I regress mainly between the ages of 5-8 but it fluctuates sometimes to be young as 2 or up to 13!

I pet regress to a dog and cat! But will pet dream often as a deer/fawn or bat!

I do have gear but it's mainly stuff my baby sister has parted with (and dw, I always use a retainer with my pacis and am actively saving up to buy a grown/adult pacifier). Petre gear is kinda desolate but I have cat toys from, well, my cat lol

I am a swear friendly blog, but I try not to incase some littles don't like it!
