“Remember what you were taught from your childhood from the Holy Scrolls which can impart to you wisdom to experience everlasting life through the faith of Jesus, the Anointed One! God has transmitted his very substance into every Scripture, for it is God-breathed. It will empower you by its instruction and correction, giving you the strength to take the right direction and lead you deeper into the path of godliness.” —2 Timothy 3:15‭-‬16 (TPT)
“Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” —Ephesians 6:13‭-‬17 (NIV)
“Never doubt God’s mighty power to work in you and accomplish all this. He will achieve infinitely more than your greatest request, your most unbelievable dream, and exceed your wildest imagination! He will outdo them all, for his miraculous power constantly energizes you.” —Ephesians 3:20 (TPT)
“The Bible is Alive” Devotional By YouVersion - Day 3: “The Bible Transforms Nations”:
“It’s the early 1800s. A 12-year-old Nigerian boy and his family are taken from their home and forced onto a Portuguese slave ship bound for America. But before the boat has a chance to leave the African coast, it’s raided by an anti-slavery patrol and the traffickers are arrested. The boy and his family are then liberated and sent to Sierra Leone. It’s here that he discovers the power of the Bible.
After becoming a Christian, Samuel Ajayi Crowther began learning multiple languages and going on missionary expeditions into the countries near Sierra Leone. But this entire time, he was studying the Bible in English because it didn’t exist in Yoruba—his Nigerian language.
This meant that the people in Nigeria who didn’t speak English couldn’t read God’s Word for themselves. So Ajayi helped create a written grammar system for Yoruba and then translated the Bible into that language.
Once he finished the Yoruba Bible, he continued to translate Scripture into other Nigerian languages so that more people could discover the life-change that he had experienced.
Crowther was later elected “Bishop of the Niger” by the Anglican church, becoming the first Black Anglican bishop. And today, the Anglican Church of Nigeria is the second largest Anglican province with over 18 million baptized members.
The same God who worked through Crowther also wants to work through you to impact the world through His Word. There are people waiting to be transformed by the Bible that only you are perfectly positioned to reach.
So today, ask God to reveal the role you can play in the story He’s telling, and watch as He does more through your life than all you can ask, think, or imagine.”

The saints' RPG adventure continues every Monday and Friday through December!
___
JOKE-OGRAPHY: 1. Continuing from the last few cartoons, an angel is running a fantasy RPG for some saints in heaven, namely Sts. Thomas Aquinas, Joan of Arc, Francis of Assisi, and Nicholas of Myra. If you haven't seen the previous parts yet, go get caught up, lest I be caught up in rage. 2. Before they start playing, the angel asks his players if they have any fears or topics they'd like the story to avoid. This is one of they many questions game-masters might ask an unfamiliar group, giving the table a chance to discuss the overall tone they'd prefer. 3. However, for saints, this question is silly. Since they're in heaven, they're maximally peaceful and fulfilled. Thus, they feel no fear. However, because I am a jokey jokester who is liking to be telling the jokes, and because the whole premise of this RPG story arc is absurd on its face, I can't leave things at that. Instead, Joan pipes up and declares that she doesn't want burning alive to be part of the upcoming story, since it's how she was killed by her enemies on earth. 4. Joan is technically not an official martyr, having been sentenced for her private revelations and not for her faith in Christ. However, that’s not very hashtag Sigma, so I called her a martyr in this cartoon. If they have to revoke my Catholic cartoonist license for this, so be it. 5. After Joan says she doesn't want burning alive to be part of the game, the angel looks down at the monster he prepared for the end of the story: a fire-breathing dragon with a ton of fiery attacks. To accommodate Joan, he changes the "fire" dragon to an "ice" dragon and calls it good. He can fix the attack names later.

neville and edward are not the only people to learn from; their ways are not the right and only ways, and the law of assumption is not the only paradigm to better understand yourself, reality, and yourself as reality.
i think it's so easy to get tunnel vision since neville is the current big shot people always defer to, but there's infinite ways to experience yourself/reality. so, please, do not make this fuckin white guy from the 1900s into a god and his teachings as a whole other set of rules you need to follow.
if the bible doesn't resonate with you, even as a metaphysical text, there are plenty of other cultures and spiritual practices that have been delving into all this waaaay before jesus.
and i think it's important to recognize the harm perpetuated by the church, christianity's fucked history, and people's individual experiences with religion that might make setting aside preconceptions and prejudices more challenging (even to accept the metaphysical message outside the religious).
all this to say: do not make barriers for yourself when you are limitless. if the words "feel it real" make you want to tear your hair out, forget them. please, for the love of you, drop the shit that you feel like you have to force to get or that just isn't clicking.
start getting curious about how you experience yourself and reality. start asking yourself who you really are. start asking yourself "who do i want to be?" vs. "how do i need to be?" set an intention to receive answers in language, analogies, and ways that deeply resonate with you and that will make an instant, profound impact on you.
you do not have to force yourself to fit into an external mold, no matter how alluded it is. not all that glitters is gold because this is YOUR subjective experience of yourself. this has, always has been, and always will be a journey of self, knowing yourself as the limitless, infinite, timeless being you are.
it's doesn't matter what neville said and did if it doesn't benefit you. it doesn't matter who he was or how much his teachings have helped others. what matters is YOU. stop looking at neville, and look at you. who do you know yourself to be? who do YOU say you are?

actually realising how bullshit the 'nightpelt didnt get his lives because brokenstar was still alive' decision was. i initially assumed it was not a choice by StarClan, as Brokenstar was still leader even in exile, but with further books having the 'alive but chose to leave Pinestar' let Sunstar get 8 lives, and recently alive Bramblestar 'step down' and let Squirrelstar presumeably get her lives, it becomes a choice that StarClan made- and a fucking stupid one.

Michael: Okay, let me just get this straight -
God: You are definitely not straight but okay, go ahead.
Michael: You want me to be the vessel through which I dispense Divine Justice, a taxiarch, and a psychopomp delivering souls to the Inferno all at the same time?
God, smiling: Correct!
Michael: That's like three job titles in one. What's the compensation for my labor?
God: Well, I'm God! Sooooo your payment is living in Paradise for etetnity where your every need is met and you get to luxuriate in the simplicity of living! Um, so long as you do my bidding at any time I ask and don't question me too hard or all the time about it.
Michael:
God:
Michael:
God: . . .what if I throw in my intelligent, beautiful femboy son that is halfway to being unhinged and will worship you like you're me as long as you do the same for him?
Michael:
God:
Michael, putting on the armor and grabbing the Flaming Sword: Hi, I'm Michael, I'll be your Heavenly Host -

Between some of Tuvok's favorite music being monks chanting, having a copy of a proto-Vulcan drama in his quarters, reciting poetry that no one else likes (his own? someone else's? unclear: It's a talent night which implies the former but the two who mention it say 'Vulcan poetry' - not 'His/Tuvok's poetry') buying a meditation lamp from a Vulcan master even though the guy doubled the price on him last minute, the fact that he's always reading alone in the mess hall and wants others to know he stands apart from them (taking steps to ensure this is the case), and that he's memorized The Dictates of Poetics by T'hain of Vulcan (being very opinionated about them), I feel like we the audience can cobble together a lot about his taste in media and that's honestly so special. He also likes and actively follows sumo wrestling. That's important. Not because it adds or subtracts to what I've said above but because I think it's kind of funny. He, Janeway, and Chakotay all just really like sumo.

Dead to Sin, Alive to God (2 Corinthians 4:7-18)
knowing that Christ, being raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over him! For the death that he died, he died to sin one time; but the life that he lives, he lives to God. — Romans 6:9-10 | World English Bible (WEB) The World English Bible is in the public domain. it's extremely unfortunate how much of your own life experience will end up suffusing into whatever fiction you write. including-but-not-limited-to cringily saccharine subjects such as "weddings." yes, even if you're not a "wedding person." yes, even if you hate most of the conventions of traditional weddings. this bitch here (me) had one, & apparently i had Feelings about it, & now they're all on the page, against my will, in a story that involves a wedding, ALSO against my will,,,,.......
