when you move in, jb designs (w the help of lucy and Katie) your own office where you can write and paint and it has the best sunlight in the whole house

julien also gets really anxious leaving you at home, not because you're not capable but she grows so attached and is like "you'll be a different person when i come back:("

Also, I spent half of this month at my biological mom's place, and I've just been drawing whenever cause I've been doing stuff like events and whatnot. I tried drawing whenever I could. The time zone is different here than at home but only an hour ahead. Its freaky, but I've managed.

(concept stuff) had this idea of a comic brewing in my head for a while where marshall and gary go on a date and gary begins discussing weird dreams and obscured memories after seeing a (weirdly familiar) tree. (more under keep reading!!)

im bad at explaining this in words lmao but long story short this is inspired by the first episode where the bg characters talk about weird dreams they have and fionna asking gary how long hes known her only for him to respond with "i dont know, forever i guess".

the scenario of waking up one day as a completely different person, living in a different world with a different set of rules, while technically being the same person from a previous life is so freaky to me and i really would love to see it explored more!

ANYWAYS ive never made a full fledged comic before and i would really like to try making one for fun and if people are interested then i'll definitely make sure it gets done!!

Earlier this week, I reblogged a fanart piece for the Mouthwashing game, wondering why it was so popular, as while I had seen the game months earlier, seeing Tumblr get so into it was surprising as at the time, it didn't stand out to me too much when I first watched it. After being nosy and snooping around the tags, I now fully get why it has become such a phenomenon here.

Anyway, the whole thing kind of inspired me to want to make my own lil space crew. I'll be keeping their designs simple though, as I don't wanna stress myself out with this too much; its just a small side thing for funsies. I don't have full design ideas for others yet, but I figured I can at least post this guy for starters. I admittedly don't fully like the poster one, buuuut IDK how to fix it rn so I'll leave it as is.

The poster's Lone wolf quote is basically Stefan's mantra; it both shows how despite what he may seem like at first glance, he very much cares about the people around him, and how the whole "lone wolf" thing isn't even realistic (and in a way, harmful way of thinking), and Stefan knows that.

When I say "dad" I mean he is the responsible friend who tries to keep most shenanigans at bay - mainly from their tech assistant Mara.

The person yelling for him is in fact Mara

He's bi, tends to be oblivious to people's crushes on him because of a lot of self-loathing caused by what happened. He also learns later on he is polyamorous too.

He met pretty freaky people in prison, but NOBODY was as scary as his current captain, according to him.

His childhood friend has a crush on him, and so does the medic lady. He is aware of Matt's crush on him, but somehow completely oblivious to Cherry, even though she shows it more obviously.... (the Captain and the systems officer find it VERY fun to watch)

Those two aren't competitive or anything about their shared crush, they're both the kind of people that just want their loved ones to be happy and would be happy for either if they got lucky - provided the dumbass would notice either.....

His wolf motif is because of his surname meaning "wolf"

BG STORY STUFF: Stefan wears a gas mask, because of his sensitivity to a common gas type utilized in most spaceships' systems in this story; a special type of non-flammable gas, that unfortunately can cause hallucinations, and in his case, causes bouts of severe aggression/Lack of sense of pain.

-----> The reason why he has an odd reaction is because of some evil scientist shenanigans he had to go through as a kid, unknowingly to him and his mum, who thought the doctors were trying to cure a terrible illness he supposedly had. (They were just testing out brainwashing stuff, you know, usual evil government bullshit)

------> he ended up in prison because while working in another ship, he had a severe fit and killed a lot of his coworkers (whom he already had negative emotions towards due to their shitty behavior towards the woman staff - he was raised better by his mama)

-----> There was a massive riot in the prison he was in, hence he managed to escape.

His friend insisted on helping and got him in the ship; Stefan initially avoided everyone else like plague afraid he'd have a fit, but did grow fond of the oddball group pretty quickly.

Then, during a space-pirate raid, he learned that he can actually recognize this group even in that state, so they aren't in danger from him - plus their captain is a very prepared woman, and had already figured out his history. (She has stuff to knock him out to sleep it off)

ok so basically. major changes, right off the bat: - instead of a mountain, the monsters were sealed under a lake. - the intro sequence is not an animatic, but a puzzle, where you play as some random human in a laboratory. it is (at a glance) unrelated to the story as a whole. - you play as flowey. i'm not 100% sure how that works yet, but you *might* not be able to walk.

FLOWEY flowey is now an "it" rather than a "he" and is supposedly a blankish canvas for the player to fill humans consider it a monster since it's clearly not human, yet is sapient, and has external magical abilities monsters consider it a human since it has a soft, "solid" water-based body, is sapient, and has a soul which can survive outside of its body as opposed to in undertale where they just assume youre a monster like them, many will actually assume you're human mainly cause toriel is more militant & has put actual effort and resources into training people (haha tutorial) in fighting against humans

ASGORE asgore is the caretaker of the Garden in fact he's the one who turned the ashen remains of the (???) into, well, a garden he's very warm and kind theres supposed to be a degree (haha) of irony to him, a calm and peaceful gardener, having fire magic i love the idea of fire magic being a purifying force (cooking, pasteurizing, cauterizing) and a good and beautiful thing, and it kind of it with asgore...? but thats not the main take away here -- despite him being such a kind and loving creature, he has the capacity to destroy and ruin it all if he doesn't control himself, control his temper and thus far, he has managed to do so quite well!!

and - his last name is still "dreemurr", which is still an anagram of "murderer" so how do i make this relevant in canon? i dont know lmao ill figure it out later

FRISK theyre a bit of a freaky little fellow uhhh well first off, no striped shirt. just a delta rune marked poncho & a stripy scarf and their hair is all fucked up. their face might be blank, as a parallel to flowey? probably not and they MIGHT have like a spear or sword as a weapon. ill come with a design later secondly - unlike flowey, they dont show up at the start to do a sort of pseudo-tutorial thing where they try to kill us. instead they just kinda lurk in the bg, a bit like gman. we dont properly meet them until the end of the Garden.

lore wise, story wise, i have BIG plans for frisk

NOBODY ok so,,, nobody is like,,, mettaton as a ghost atm theyre "a nobody" (no body) and they dream of one daying being "somebody" might say something along the lines of "anybody who's anybody has a body" at some point the battle with them sort of vaguely implies that you're literallly fighting actually nobody. like they dont have a battlesprite (im in invisible to everyone) you can spare them by basically validating that they're there. that theyre somebody. that you recognize them as a person or you can attack them until they run away. but every attack misses because there's nobody there sorry this ideas a bit of a mess this isn't the last you see of them btw

solar is probably being explored but its not much up and running so to speak. energy technology relies primarily on hydropower and fossil fuels and also alien blood 🌞

Its the same as it ever was tbh? except in the NEC where some basic building foundations are made of an alien metal that can rebuild itself when it’s destroyed, at least for the first few times. after that it gets a bit unstable and Freaky Shit Happens

physical money is still a thing in se, its just that the US dollar is the most unstable currency in the world now lol. the NEC has its own currency actually but some businesses also take yuans and us dollars. it just depends on whoever 🎣

i’ll have to think more on this tho. i dont think atm machines and debit cards exist hmm 🤔

there is next to no bonding over shared biological traits between martians and humans lol. they KIND of have a shared ancestor/creator of sorts but in different ways ⛹🏽 humans are meat, and martians are not…? some scientists on earth theorize that theyre actually a type of fungus, others even say theyre “rocks” of some kind.

i will ig say that martians (not as a whole) can find the inner workings of the human body absolutely fascinating if they have the time/intelligence to care or learn abt it! its so complex, something that theyre (in comparison) very much not and i have a couple of martian bg characters who dedicate their whole existences to studying the human body. humans meanwhile find martian biology very ANNOYING and DUMB and “HOW DO THESE THINGS EVEN EXIST” kind of thing. humans biologists and physicists i suppose have been forced to question EVERYTHING abt EXISTENCE becuz of martians and its a field of study that people on earth r sort of desperate for but like. u have to understand people have driven themselves genuinely insane and to suicide trying to figure out wtf exactly martians are lol

martians r pretty straightforward in their thinking, the way humans process and experience emotions is extremely confusing to them. they basically have EXTREMELY SIMPLISTIC TUNNEL VISION when it comes to a lot of things…also the practice of burying our dead they find wasteful at worst, kind of disrespectful at best.

Now,some of the more jaded of you might think this post has some veiled political message(something about the state of politics in the USA),but I can assure you it is a hundred precent pure Tiki. You see,BG Reynolds has brought back their Clown Sirop! They take orders,and when they reach a certain number,they produce a batch. And your Uncle Giltron just can't get enough of this magic elixir. Most of the following recipes were created by mixing genius Jason Alexander(the bartender,not the actor),who's so good at mixing that he can create a winner by putting together ingredients in his head without even tasting them. So without further ado,let's start clowning around. Enjoy!

Mix #255 Barnum & Bailey's Planter's Punch

1.5oz aged Jamaican rum 1/2oz overproof rum 1oz lemon juice 3/4oz circus peanut syrup 1/4oz Don's spices #2*

Shake with ice and pour into tall glass while whistling "Entry of the Gladiators".

*Don's Spices #2 = 1:1 vanilla syrup and pimento dram

A complex drink,sweet with a bit of spice,you can taste all ingredients. The overproof gives it kick. Very nice.

Mix #256 Big Top Mai Tai

2.5oz Plantation Xaymaca rum 1.5oz lemon juice 1oz circus peanut syrup 1/2oz passionfruit syrup 1/2oz orgeat

Shake with ice and pour into Mai Tai glass.

Very sweet and fruity,almost touristy,but still a proper Tiki drink. Two and a half ounces of rum give it decent kick. If you like sweet you'll love this.

Mix #257 Clown Sling

2oz gin 1oz lemon juice 1oz circus peanut syrup 1/4oz cherry heering 1/4oz allspice dram 4 dashes Angostura bitters 2oz seltzer

Shake everything except seltzer with ice and pour into glass. Top with seltzer.

A Singapore Sling riff,this is sweet with the gin coming forward. Sling and Saturn fans will love this.

Mix #258 Clown's Own Punch

1.5oz dark Jamaican rum 1oz light rum 1oz lemon juice 1oz circus peanut syrup 1oz soda water

Shake with ice and pour into a pilsner glass.

This is rum forward with a clown aftertaste. You'll want to use good rum for this since you'll really be able to taste it. An excellent drink for someone who doesn't think they'd like clown sirop.

Mix #259 Not my Circus, Not My Monkey’s

1oz Plantation OFTD rum 3/4oz Plantation Xaymaca rum 3/4oz Plantation Original Dark rum 1.5oz lime juice 1oz circus peanut syrup 3/4oz Don's Mix* 1/4oz Luxardo Maraschino liqueur 1tsp Don's Zombie Mix** 2 dashes Angostura bitters

*Don's Mix = 2:1 white grapefruit juice to cinnamon syrup **Don's Zombie Mix = equal parts grenadine/falernum/absinthe/dry curacao

Our final Jason Alexander drink is a very complex one;there's all sorts of flavors running around in here. Sweet,citrus,cinnamon,the bite of Luxardo,and a touch of absinthe. It's got some kick too. A serious Tiki drink to showcase a silly sirop.

Mix #260 Chimp Cocktail

2oz Ultimate Mai Tai blend* or blended Navy rum 1oz lime juice 1/2oz circus peanut syrup 1/2oz banana liqueur

Shake with ice and pour into Mai Tai glass.

*UMT blend is 1/2oz each of Appleton 12yr,Smith & Cross,Plantation Xaymaca,and OFTD.

From Kevin Crossman comes a Mai Tai riff with a nice sweet/tart blend. Like Clown Punch,you can really taste the rum. I used the UMT blend,but Hamilton Navy Grog Blend or Plantation Mister Fogg would both work well. Has a good kick either way. A tasty riff on a classic.

Mix #261 Hurriclown

1.5oz dark Jamaican rum 1/2oz overproof Demerara rum 1oz lemon juice 3/4oz circus peanut syrup 1/3oz(10ml) passionfruit syrup

Shake with ice and pour into Mai Tai glass.

Another Crossman recipe,this may be my new favorite clown drink. It has a nice sweet/citrus balance with some funk from the rum. I used Appleton 12yr for the dark,but both Plantation OFTD and Lemon Hart 151 are good for the overproof,depending on whether you want this to be high octane or jet fuel. This is going in my regular roster.

Mix #262 A Clown Got Us Into This

1.5oz light rum 1/2oz overproof Jamaican rum 1.5oz lime juice 1/2oz banana liqueur 3/4oz circus peanut syrup 1/8oz grenadine 2 dashes orange bitters

Shake with ice and pour into Mai Tai glass.

From Rodney Stanton of the South SF Bay Ohana online meetup,this has rum on nose and is sweet with a grenadine and clown finish. The lime keeps it from being too sweet,so it's a nice balanced drink.

SBS Gayo Daejeon 2024

Doyoung MCed. Perhaps SM has a better relationship with SBS, or believes it has wider reach, this show was given a priority despite limited time for performances. It also had a better camerawork than average.

Do is the "don't put a finger in his mouth (he will bite the whole hand off)" kind of person. He didn't intend for the baby butt bread pose to go viral, but it happened, so he now uses it as much as possible.

NCT Wish. As usual, their outfits were good and well-fitting both their concept and the occasion. As new faces they need to catch attention, and well chosen clothes that accentuate the idols' selling point (in this cute and fluffy) help with it.

Shion has improved both in dancing and facials. NCT Wish proves that synchronisation tops "individual style" any day. A well synchronised group is just more pleasant to the eye. Individuality can be shows with centre moments (Sakuya's movements are adorable and cheeky, Yushi's - more gentle and timid) and difference in outfits.

The screens also were used well. The name of the song, the unit's name, the concept (cupid) and seasonal (Christmas, holiday) symbols were shown. Overall a well-rounded stage. The director really favoured Sakuya, heh.

WayV. Was promoted a lot this year. I didn't follow but saw mentions on them being on different YT Korean programmes, festivals, singing live on radio and It's Live, etc. Ten and other members were on Thai shows a lot, too. The next album will show how well the push went. Will be there a significant jump in album sale numbers, or not.

The outfits could have been brighter, it's Christmas, everything should pop. Otherwise they fit WayV's image. It's evident the designer put in effort with thinking up new solutions and details. Did Kun get a heart as a magician (card tricks)?

Apparently, Doyoung mixed lyrics. Perhaps because "Little light" was shortened, so it wasn't a run on muscle memory? He didn't have time to properly set the mood and impress with his emotional singing, so he used another trick - a long note. A moment to circulate on socmed.

NCT U. No unit was forgotten. The chosen members not only are dancers, they are a bit more known to the wider k-pop audience. Xiaojun as a music show MC, Jungwoo as a host of Nopogy and a guest in other variety programmes, Shion is the leader and goes the most to shows to advertise "Wish". Hm, Jaemin did a tv-series, let's pretend, it counts, heh (he fits better with Jun than Jeno would as well).

NCT Dream. Gothic "Smoothie" was unexpected but welcomed. Maybe SM played on "Freaky" part of the "Merry Freaky Christmas" show's slogan for this year.

NCT 127. The concept for the looks was ski resort. A winter sport for rich (in SK). I approve. The puffy jackets and streamlineds tops reminded the cosmic theme neos had with Superhuman. At the same time it was reminiscent of 90s-00s fashion. With 2NE1 and GD comebacks, this retrm touch was timely.

SM announced that this performance was a glimpse at Momentum. Well, considering 6 members performed, maybe it was so. Happy they brought Firetruck back and left Taeyong's voice at the start. It was the song that had Taeil but didn't have Doyoung (and Jungwoo). So, perhaps, the choice was made to signal the transition into the new formation (8 current members). However, it's not the first time DoWoo performed it. Afterall, FT was a notable part of Unity. Maybe it was chosen simply for the fire and smoke effects, for the flare.

Seems like Do is growing his hair for his role of Gwynplaine. It suits him. Maybe it's the success of the solo (the year was really good for Do's career and the creative side's satisfaction), maybe lack of sleep (Do tends to become more daring as he has little energy on controlling himself ans his more sassy and "I want it my way" side comes out (see his manic smile)), however, Do was more daring as an MC. Even the scripted things he played out with less reservation.
