Thinking about the Bear in Ghost Quartet and that his cycle is of living so long he switches timelines and falls into madness.

In the Usher timeline, the Fool moves to New York and lives long enough to move into the Subway timeline (becoming the Pusher), loses his mind, and kills the Victim. In the Arabian Nights timeline, the Shah kills Scheherazade and locks himself in his room for 42 years, transferring over to the Fairytale timeline where the Astronomer hears that not talking to a living person in so long has allowed him to talk to ghosts. And while we know that the Bear in the game in the Subway timeline is at the least an incarnation of the Fairytale Bear, I think that he could be the actual Bear from the Fairytale timeline, living long enough to transfer into the game.

Also not insignificant is the fact that, when Pearl isn't killed by Rose, she is killed by the Bear: the Pusher, Shah Zaman, and she battles the Bear in the game as the Soldier with an unknown result.

There is something about the Bear always falling victim to his vices in this cycle as well: heroin, alcohol, and honey. They trigger his spiral into madness, leading to his ultimate downfall.

Not sure what I'm concluding from this; he just likes honey 🤷‍♀️
