You know those AU's where the Batfam finds or learns about either hidden or thought to be dead Al Ghul Danny! with a deaged/daughter Dani (Ellie) (I should know, I created a few of those storylines) but what if, now hear me out, what if instead of them finding Danny first its Talia.

Do I want Talia discovering her thought to be dead son to be alive? Yes. Do I want her to find him while investigating Amity Park when the League gets reports of 'Lazarus creatures/water'? Yes.

There is currently a rather large discussion ongoing about the RW fandom behavior, drama, etc. I am not going to talk about the specifics of whats happened for a number of reasons. But what I do want to say is that if at any point you've harassed people over it, whether that be through anon asks or public posts- you did nothing but damage the ability for people to correctly process what is happening. You contributed nothing but harm to an already delicate situation. It does not matter what "side" you were on and I will not tolerate further interaction with me or my work if I found out you did such. If you let your personal hate for anyone boil over into threats, wishes for long term harm and petty comments meant to contribute nothing but slander or mental distress for the individuals involved who were already distressed (or acting irrationally) you did nothing but make it harder for people to process their emotions, thoughts and behaviors constructively. Regardless of who you think was in the right, who fucked up, whatever. It doesn't matter if they deserved it, or earned it, or if its an eye for an eye. Its difficult enough as it is to think clearly when presented with any kind of stressful situation and heckling people does nothing but make it worse and harder for them to explain themself in any capacity. I don't want you anywhere near me if you think that is an acceptable way to act.

Okay but Tommy drops out of high school — he told his father he was gay and he told him he could either be homeless or go to military school. He goes to military school and joins the army and he likes flying the helicopters because it means he doesn’t have to do any of the killing himself. And he makes some friends.

There's one guy who's like the squad leader who's a few years old and built like a Greek god and Tommy's young and a little bit in love. And they're friends maybe even family because this whole group of people spend every waking (and sleeping) moment together. And they all talk like a family and they all say they love each other and tease each other and it's nice. And one night it's just the two of them trading a flask of some sort of alcohol that Tommy doesn't know the name of and the man asks Tommy why he joined the army and where he wants to be in five years and Tommy trusts this man. He's half way in love with him so he doesn't even think twice before he tells the story about the time he came out to his family and his father nearly beat him to death before sending him here. And the conversation tapers off after that and he doesn’t register the change in the air but when he wakes up the next morning he’s being dishonourably discharged because he poses “unacceptable risk to the high standards of morale, good order and discipline, and unit cohesion that are the essence of military capability”. He knows what that means.

Tommy joins the fire department because he doesn’t know what else to do. He represses anything regarding his sexuality because he knows now that it’s wrong. He almost feels like he has a family again because his captain seems to like him and some of the guys are cool even if they say things he doesn’t agree with. And then he starts agreeing because maybe they’re right and he’s wrong and he’s just inherently wrong. So he follows their leads and is just straight racist because that’s how he can fit in.

And then a black lesbian woman joins and says she’s a black lesbian woman and Tommy doesn’t understand that either because you can’t be queer you just can’t be because it’s wrong.

But he nearly dies and and an Asian man saves his life and a black lesbian woman comes up with a better idea than any of them had and she tells them she’s no different and she is just as capable. So he improves himself he does and he tries to be better but he still can’t be who he is because the last 2 times he was honest about that he was betrayed.

Tommy leaves the 118 and “don’t ask, don’t tell” is lifted and he meets this guy he likes who likes him back and the 217 don’t seem to have a problem with the gender neutral pronouns and he slowly but surely lets himself open up again and be who he is and when the thing with that guy doesn’t work out because he’s moving to New York and Tommy’s not sure he’s ready to leave, it’s okay because his crew is there and they support him and he can still be himself.

This is exactly what the starving throuple fans deserved. all the hundreds of little freckles speckled over his skin like sun-stars, his big, beautiful curly red hair, his gorgeous, glowering mean, green eyes ravenstan was legitimately Breathtaken by kyle's beauty, omfg.

however, the funniest part abt all of this to me is that poor sweet pre!rm rae is legitimately having divine visions and hearing angelic choirs, meanwhile pre!rm jers is just staring blankly at this weird, giant-eyed freaky mouth-breathing rural colorado kid ( who ig is his neighbor now, smh ) that's just staring up at him and sweating and shaking and looks like he's having a Stroke.

edit: i forgot to describe what they looked like so know that ravenstan had come out of the house because his mom told him to say hi to the neighbors and help them with boxes and stuff, say hi to their son, etc.

i think his hair is shoulder length, but its in a lil ponytail, he's in randy's gigantic black sabbath t-shirt, probably has a gigantic edgy boy temp tattoo of a skull or a snake on his neck, smh, little like hot wheels, boy section of target-esqe stickers all over his face and arms, little other edgy elementary school boy marker tattoos on his arms because he literally has always been a rockstar.

meanwhile, jersey, in canon ncu baby kyle fashion, is wearing his gigantic kyle signature orange coat and green ushanka IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER because he is self conscious and sheila bought both on sale at the mall during summer when the winter stuff is all half up because she's a thrifty queen and wants him to get wear out of them and break them in...smh.

so he is sweating like hell and just wants to get his fresca open, which is very vintage and still comes in the bottle.

note: it is this party trick that he'd seen randy do a couple of times and just replicated, but totally ripped his lip open in the process, btw.

anyways, rae hands the fresca back to baby jersey and because he is a fkn idiot but also a superstar ( i love u raven ) shoots kyle the signature stanley marsh wink-peace sign-finger gun combo wombo.

and jersey is just SHOOK because that was, in fact, criminally insane, but also...kinda cool? and an oddly touching gesture because he could have just handed the bottle back or said go fuck yourself, new kid! because he didn't give a shit about this kid from next door and his parents were both busy...but wanted kyle to have his little drinky poo so bad that he literally busted his lip open turning into a can-opener for ky...and did the cutest, weirdest most awkward hand-sign ever.

tldr; it was brave and reckless and boyish and radiant. and kyle, who usually is highly disgusted by the germs of other people...finds that brings the lip of the fresca bottle to his with ease, sips his drink, which tastes like victory and probably a bit like cinnamon red hots, watches his weirdo neighbor give him the wink peace sign finger gun combo and is so weirdly endeared by this that he...

gives stan a rare kyle smile and even rarer kyle laugh. :’)

and this is so glorious and gorgeous to ravenstan that he literally cannot breathe, his heart is pounding in his chest, he is fkn shaking, goes to say something and immediately THROWS UP ALL OVER KYLE AND PASSES OUT. skhdlksahdsh HEEEEELP NO.

but yeah...that's how dad and dad met. please note that in canon ncu fashion ravenstan followed jersey around like a lovesick puppy, ignoring all of the kids trying to get his attention and play with him, desperate for kyle to acknowledge his existence for literally five seconds or accept his offer of being super best friends...

all the while, jerseykyle is trying to get away from him because he doesn't like other people, doesn't want to be friends, just wants to be left alone and be alone skhdld and is like weird kid with the giant eyeballs PLEASE FUCK OFF ( this does make stan fall more in love with him, stan i need you to go to therapy for the type of guys u like ) and this apathy and disinterest continues until...

stan takes the stark's pond hockey puck for him.

and suddenly, kyle's cold dead heart starts beating again, he sees ravenstan in the hospital recovering from slicing his face and mouth open again, who smiles so hard he RIPS his stitches open again, smh and from that moment on, they are Super Best Friends.

But yeah I love Despair!Gundham x Non-Despair!Kazuichi so much, I wish there was more. I mentioned before in the 3 Gundham’s ask, that I see Despair!Gundham as a hedonistic, entropic and misanthropic. The world is horrible and shitty, but what he sees as his is HIS - he is a demon prince in a crumbling world who would dare try to take his possessions or say they are not his treasures? He’ll fed them to his tigers.

And Kazuichi is his, even if he hasn’t been blessed by Junko and been liberated by the wool still covering his eyes. Let’s say he was sick with a cold this time around to mitigate the angst lol, so he wasn’t even allowed to run around in the rain to look for Chiaki. He has survivors guilt though!

Originally, Kazuichi was going to be into Hope’s Peak as the “17” student - he was going to have the master key to the principal’s private office as well as supposedly knowing the backup plan in case it went wrong. Somehow Junko sniffed this out and lured Kazuichi out just before she brainwashed her fellow classmates. Thinking Gundham would revel in the idea of killing his “rival” classmate, she was surprised and despair filled ecstasy when she saw he was in twisted love and took Kazuichi away with no intention of listening to her. She let it go because being told no was exhilarating.

Gundham would make sure Kazuichi stays close - he’s never allowed to leave his sight; they even sleep in the same bed! Scandalous 😈 He keeps the mechanic compliant with small threats and keeping him isolated. Kazuichi has tried to escape, once. The man eating tigers cooled his flight to freedom and the breeder suitably punished him. After that, it was carrot and stick method: if Kazuichi tried to sabotage his plans, Gundham would punish him; if he was good, he was given presents and affection.

This proved the most affected, since Kazuichi craved psychical touch and kind words. He began trying to escape less and less if it meant he’d get it, he would. This is around the time when Stockholm's Syndrome begins to kick in. Kazuichi believes it’s actually love because of Gundham treats him compared to the rest of the Remnants - from he saw on the Monokuma controlled tvs anyways. He treated him so gently and kind, how could Gundham be like the others? He keeps him safe.

Whether or not Kazuichi survives the Remnants getting captured and taken to Jabborwock for the NWP is up to you guys 😈

Do you (or your followers) know of any tips or resources for harm reduction for alcohol use? Everything I found tends to focus on drug use, and finding very little geared towards alcohol addiction. Thank you if so!

Thanks for this question. I think this definitely is something that can be a little harder to find specific information on, but I feel like the core harm reduction principles definitely can apply to alcohol use as well. I think there are some relevant distinctions when considering this in practice (alcohol is legal and there is a safe supply, bloodborne infections aren't a directly related risk in the same way as with injection drug use, different relationship with stigma and criminalization), but the underlying values feel the same.

When I'm having conversations with people about harm reduction, I think something that can be really helpful is just really doing some self inquiry and asking ourselves a lot of open ended questions. This might look like asking: What do I wish my drinking looked like? What parts of drinking currently feel good to me? What parts of drinking don't feel as good? What needs is alcohol currently meeting for me? How ready do I feel to make a change? What are some reasons I might want to make a change? Are there times in the past that I've successfully made a change, and what did that look like? What support might I need in my life to make a change?

Thinking through these things might help narrow down what positive change might feel most accessible for you right now. The core principles of harm reduction-understanding that there are riskier and safer ways to use any substance, and embracing any positive change, could be helpful things to keep in mind.

In terms of actual practical strategies, there are a lot of options. one option could be trying to make goals about reducing the frequency of alcohol use. Definitely want to put a warning that depending on your current pattern of use, alcohol is one of the few drugs where the withdrawal can actually be deadly. If your body is currently dependent on alcohol, any type of tapering needs to be done super carefully and if possible, might be good to check in with a clinic or doctor for advice. This worksheet also offers information on what safe tapering of alcohol at home might look like.

You could also make some goals about changing the amount you drink at one time. Even if you're drinking the same amount of times per day/week, reducing the overall amount in one sitting could be an awesome positive change.

There are a lot of other strategies you could make goals about in terms of safer alcohol use. These things could be trying to drink more water and eat more when you are drinking, avoiding nonbeverage alcohol, avoiding mixing other drugs and alcohol, working on spacing your drinks throughout your period of drinking, working on incorporating drinking breaks, whether that's throughout your day or throughout your week. You could also make goals about your environment when you drink, whether that's considering what physical spaces are safest to drink in, what people are safe to be around while you drink, things like making goals about only drinking when your emotional state feels more stable, practicing other coping skills and emotional self care, anything!

I'd also really recommend reaching out to local harm reduction orgs if that's an option. Even if they don't have anything listed about alcohol on the website, there are probably people there who would be equipped to help provide support and connect you to resources.

This is definitely a just a tiny snapshot of some harm reduction considerations around alcohol, and definitely want to affirm that you will know best what works for you, what your needs are, and have your own relevant perspective about what you think harm reduction and alcohol use looks like. I don't really have any more direct resources on hand besides what I linked above, but followers, please feel free to add tips or link to other resources! Overall just want to validate that abstinence is not the only or best method for making changes in your relationship with alcohol, and everyone deserves the autonomy to make the decisions that feels right for them and their life.
