do you think stu and billy would be into more modern horror or analogue horror? like stuff like local 58, skinamarink, mandela catalogue, etc.

Some of it, absolutely! The more slowcore/more esoteric stuff like skinamarink, petscop, ect is probably more Billy's vibe. I just think Stu is more likely to be bored by stuff like that. I think they would have been into this stuff early though, with Marble Hornets and series like that.

I think the Alan Reznik/wham city comedy/Adult Swim type weirdness is mostly going to be more Stu's vibe, there's some parts of This House Has People In It that he would find hilarious (the flag song, boomy the cat). Stuff like Don't Hug Me I'm Scared, Too Many Cooks. I do think Billy would like some of this stuff too, but it just strikes me as more Stu-type content.

There are so many great ARGs and Analogue horror series that I think they would be into and Billy is definitely watching the long ass Nightmind breakdown videos.

Post Mortem on my 20-year-old Camcorder Footage (Clove Sees their Child Self)

So when I left California I brought a few drives with me that my dad gave me. One of them, I completely forgot, had about 58 gigs of footage that I recorded in like 2009-2010, meaning I was like 12-13. Riley made a backup of this around the time we first moved in together, more as a kindness to me than out of realizing what they were saving.

I'm going through the backlog now. I'm keeping the core backup untouched, but going through mostly everything copying like a more concise collection of footage I could maybe put together into something. When I had this idea it sounded brilliant, but I realized almost immediately that was maybe due to the bottle of Prosecco I split with my wife that night.

But a few days later, and after running the concept by my therapist - I mean, I wouldn't say it's a brilliant idea. But I think it's needed.

I had a pretty complicated relationship with my camcorder. Camcorders, really. I had a few Flip Camcorders (Which apparently sell on ebay for really cheap oh god should I buy one???), and the first thing I learned going through old videos is that I absolutely used this little piece of technology as a surrogate friend. So much of the footage I've seen so far is just me wandering around and monologuing.

It must've been needed, because the second thing I learned is that apparently for a good few years of my late childhood like fucking no one in my family listened to me. I would say things and they would just. Not acknowledge them? It's kind of crazy actually.

Anyways I'm just categorizing now and finding what's usable (12 year olds, it turns out, do not innately realize you should probably keep a camera steady while recording) and then I'll pretty likely start sharing stuff. Because Miranda clearly at the time wanted someone else to see what I was seeing. So I'm seeing it now. And you probably will too.

You know those single use cameras? That are analogue and you take photos with them, like 27 usually, and rhen the shop develops them and that is it? I took one of those to Vienna for fun, and I gave it to get developed last week. Today I got the photos - or... thought I would. Because there are only two. That I took... of the trainstation, for fun. There are photos both before and after that. But the film? It is entirely empty, as if nothing had ever been there.

HETALIA ANALOGUE HORROR AU IDEA

CW : Body horror imagery that may be disturbing to some people

Here it is! Forgive me if it doesn't make sense, it's really messy and I'm yet to actually start it!

It's hetalia but a classified government analogue horror styled video explaining about an experiment that ran in the late 80's or so, trying to find out more about the nation's nature and how they basically work.

Neuroscientists try to find a way to see nations as their 'true forms,' through attempting to find loopholes through the human brain and how it perceives nations.

It's heavy of themes on the paranormal, supernatural, the human mind, and what really is behind the veil of illusion. What do they really look like? Truly?

This is heavily inspired by the seerverse au by A_Selkie_Abroad on AO3, and I love the idea of their physical forms being just a mask.

It's also inspired by Secrets and Directives by YingYangKay in chapter 38, specifically the bathroom scene. (If you haven't read the Gaia AU I recommend it!) Who knows what that human saw America as?

Another inspiration. Not really planning for it to be part of the story, but it's what sparked my interest and is what gave the idea!

Imagine this.

Their faces were unrecognizable, flashing the fraction of a millisecond and overwhelming every physical sense. What is that? The human mind would question. Without the cover of protection subconsciously given, it was now exposed to this unexplainable being.

Here's some random notes in no particular order or context, purely brain dumps.

So.... this is basically the idea of it! Hope I made sense sorry lol. Feel free to send and ask questions, it'll help me! I get to find plot holes easier and it helps make a stable story. Not forced of course though!! I'll just be happy if you read the whole thing honestly :3

Official redesigns for my ARG! I've been working hard on official art and redesigns for my Sunshine Avenue characters! These aren't all the characters, of course. There's six or seven more characters I need to fully redesign and make official art! These are going to be put in the official Sunshine Avenue website that I am currently working on!

I gotta do some editing because I've been putting it off for WEEKS but also I did read about the current nuclear armament climate and I need to lay face down in moss until the forest takes me.

I gotta do more work for the holidays in Bronze Eden. I mean clearly they would have a Christmas analogue for the birth of The Prophet, and another major holiday for the building of the First Eden, and another one for the death of The Prophet, etc, but I outta make more minor holidays and also more specifically lay out what those celebrations look like and what the customs surrounding them are. Obviously, I don't want to segway too far away from Christmas because the religion is basically just Catholicism To The Left (now with more pagan practices!), but I do also want to maybe incorporate more orthodox and archaic practises to differentiate it from standardised Christmas and other Catholic holidays. Something to think about over the week 🤔🤔
