I captured these photos at a traditional carnival ("Fašnik") in Baranja, Eastern Croatia. It is a centuries-old tradition and is still cherished today. There are several legends about "buše." One legend says that the "buše" (people in costumes) drove the Turks from this area with their noise and clamor. In contrast, according to another legend, the "buše" chased winter away. The event lasts for several days. A large parade is organized that goes through the village. People are lighting a fire in the streets, and at the end of the event, people burn a giant knitted sculpture. In some countries known as a "Wickerman." - Carnival riding ("Pokladno jahanje") has its roots in the time of the Military Frontier. It is an event where we can see horse riders dressed in traditional attire. Carnival riding is traditionally held in Slavonia, Baranja, and Srijem. The' event's goal is to preserve the tradition and love for horses, without which the life of the inhabitants of this area couldn't have been imagined. Nhiều người cả đời bôn ba, để mong đến cuối cùng tìm được một góc tĩnh lặng giữa cuộc sống ngày càng ồn ã, mà quên mất góc tĩnh lặng thật sự giữa thế gian vô thường này chính là trái tim mình.

Người đời thường đổ cốc nước đục trong tay đi rồi ngược xuôi khắp chốn tìm một cốc nước trong, mà người đâu hay, chỉ cần để yên một lát, đợi tạp chất lắng xuống là trong tay đã có được một cốc nước trong.

Chỉ cần lòng tĩnh lặng, mọi bụi bặm sẽ lắng xuống, bất an tan theo gió mây, nơi đó trở thành một góc an yên che chắn cho mình giữa cuộc đời đầy biến động.

Phía sau mỗi vết sẹo lành đều có một nỗi đau, phía sau sự tĩnh lặng của một người có một câu chuyện bão giông đã lặng.

Hace tiempo que empecé en la foto y afortunadamente hoy en el día mundial de la fotografía tuve el placer de pasar el día trabajando en ella. Ver esta foto me trae tantos recuerdos, pues es la primer fotografía que hice solo, justo en la primera semana que empecé en la Escuela Activa de Fotografía y para mi fue todo un logro, pues era algo nuevo para mí; ademas mi cámara análoga no tenía exposímetro y todos los que saben un poco de foto conocen la dificultad de empezar sin él. Asimismo tenía poco que empezaba a vivir en la CDMX y esto tenía sus dificultades, pues aunque había nacido aquí y conocía algunas partes de la ciudad, la realidad era que nunca la había palpado tanto.
