I'm kind of glad "Davrin has a negative attitude towards the Dalish" is such a good meta-post litmus test
yeah, seeing that exact (false) sentiment three times in just as many days is somewhat aggravating, but it's still an overall good thing that just like that, in one sentence, someone can let me know exactly that their post is not actually worth reading, because they just plain did not listen to anything that was said in-game.

Trying to be patient but would really love it if i had a therapy appointment scheduled by now.
#therapist texted me a week ago saying she has internet back and could schedule virtual visits now#(the office is very much gone though the practice is looking for a new location)#texted back same day saying i did want to schedule and gave some dates#i know she’s probably busy getting every client sorted out and there are probably some with more urgent needs#or maybe her internet isn’t completely stable yet#but i’m worried that she just forgot about me but i also don’t want to be pushy by texting again#i don’t know what do you do when you feel like you desperately need something but also don’t think your needs matter#or that you’re being a burden (asking for a paid appointment that was offered to you)#weird i was able to get a haircut before a therapy appointment considering my hair stylist like…literally lost her home#though i suppose that creates a greater need to get back to work asap#also apparently nothing offsets my money anxiety#me: if there was ever a time to pull a large amount out of savings to give to those in need it would be now#also me: i am going to financially ruin myself and also probably my whole family#me again: you should be giving MORE stop being SELFISH#[proceeds to enter into damned-if-you-do-damned-if-you-don’t anxiety spiral where i hate myself in five different ways at once]

#i mention the 2015 version bc that's the one i watched but this applies to my bestie (/neg) kenneth branagh As Well#rip guys one of the most interesting parts of the play but like gatekept behind the fact#that LLL is nobody's favorite play and also people keep whitewashing rosaline#love's labour's lost#ws#mm. the whole 'beauteous as ink' line.. 'much in the letters nothing in the praise'..#as in. rosaline agrees with the physical description of herself that berowne describes but not the overwhelming praise of her beauty#and how katherine like. is supposed to have blonde hair and rosy cheeks as opposed to rosaline#and of course that whole tirade where the guys make fun of rosaline for not being fair haired/fair skinned/etc to get back at berowne#there is a SOLID amount of evidence in the text pointing to rosaline being a black woman. like three or four obvious places#and i'm not surprised greg doran picked that up bc his productions are so detail oriented#and he really mines the text for meaning and relevance and everything.#but like he cant be the only person who picked that up.. or at the very least 'read the play and made this connection'#even if you cut all those lines (and i can understand why bc some of them are very very mean spirited)#wouldn't you at least still want to keep with the spirit of the play and not cast her as white ...?#shakespeare didn't have lots of canonically nonwhite characters in his plays.. rosaline is a lead character and the main love interest..#i'm just surprised at the lack of discussion around this. even if it's not as well known or liked as othello or anything

#n o t me clinging to meoto to retain my sanity bc g o o d l o r d today was the worst#today was truly a very bad; very horrible day indeeeeeeed#man. today truly was a comedic tragedy in every way possible. i’d laugh if i were anyone else tbh#first i couldn’t start my workstation bc we were out of this cleaning acid thing.#t h e n this other branch lab sent over a precise amount of [reagent] that we needed to make the cleaning acid thing#*and* what’s worse was that they also demanded like. 1/5 of the acid we mixed. like bro. make it yourself mans.#but the worst part was when i tried to use a dropper to poke this sediment out of [tube i was supposed to be cleaning]#bUT THEN HALF OF THE DROPPER MELTED BC THAT BUGGER CAN’T HANDLE HIGH TEMPERATURES AAAAAAAAAAAAAA#stupid new droppers man. the old droppers could handle 100 degrees just fine. s o now the tube is clogged with melted plastic and it’s just.#life’s *really* great sometimes yk~~~~? I wonder if there’s been any times in the PDs friendship where Ashe got really worried she fucked up and, since she probably hasn’t had the ability to keep friends for long at any point since her mom died, she probably assumed the others were gonna leave her and so she started isolating herself again as soon as she thought it to try and not let them be the ones to leave,,,
