The building is haunted, but the ghosts get attached to the workers [specifically the older ones who work there.]

The new workers are afraid of encountering them [most probably don't even know they exist and think it's just a rumor] while the older workers are used to them.

They're especially fond of this one guy in particular. He's been working here for 30+ years. They treat him like your indoor cat and he leans into their affection because he's a lonely starved old man who everyone sees as strict and indifferent.

[Note: This affection only extends to the older workers of the haunted building. (New workers have been reported fainting around their presence.) Others will not be treated as nicely. Please keep your distance and notify guards during an encounter.]

man can I just say how adorable Wolf's interaction with Delia in the wedding scene is? When she's explaining her situation he gives her the most understanding looks and it's because they both effectively had the same cause of death. Delia turned her mourning of Charles into part of her performance art, and died from being scammed with asps who were NOT defanged. Wolf wanted to deliver the most authentic performance possible and died from presumably a negligent armorer who didn't bother to check if the grenade was live or not before shooting. both of them were quite literally killed by their art (not by their own faults to be fair but from someone else's irresponsibility). and it's kind of lovely Delia got such a sympathetic escort back to the netherworld who knows her situation firsthand probably better than anyone else

it's weirdly wholesome and empathetic even as their situations were both played for morbid laughs, and if Delia didn't have eyes only for Charles (what's left of him) and Wolf wasn't in a committed relationship with Janet I'd even say I could have seen things going somewhere between them

season four episode two of malpractice md is so funny from a ducklings perspective. do you think cameron chase and foreman sat down at their usual bar table in between seasons like wait so we are all at princeton plainsboro right now? and oh god. which one of us is gonna tell house? not it by the way. and wait a second I have an idea. you know what would be funny. and then contrived to pass by house while he’s working to torment him specifically. do you think chase taught cameron and foreman how to walk in slow motion. do you think they gossiped after each incident. yeah i think wilson figured out what we’ve been doing but honestly he’s very on board with tormenting house. yeah you’re right i don’t know why i’m acting surprised about it either

Night slides open the door to her living quarters, holding her left arm rather stiffly. She notices Doom's presence there... and can't bring herself to mind enough about finding somewhere else to take care of things. The only reason why she's in her room instead of, let's say, anywhere in Medical, is because she wants to be alone and fix this inconvenience herself, without everyone knowing about how she was damaged again.

Everyone except for Doom, apparently.

She sits down and removes the wrappings around her arm- from a distance they were almost unnoticeable- revealing something that looked much worse than it actually was, one of her metal implants having snapped and slashed through a section of unreinforced flesh.

Night frowns at the mess- she's turned her sense of pain wayyyy down, so much so that if you stabbed her right now, she'd just feel a slight sense of discomfort.

A scalpel appears in her other hand from who knows where, and she goes to work on her own arm. She's focused, and doesn't let herself get distracted by Doom's.. proximity.

HMM well in the format of writing rp stuff, Artair was, though I've talked about that not too long ago, so instead I'll talk about one of my first characters I ever wrote XD

So I had a character named Syrisar, and he was probably the first one I ever really wrote about in depth. I don't remember the whole of his story, except that he was a half-elf (I was REALLY into D&D growing up) from the edition where they were shunned by society. He had some kind of spirit guardian who had been tasked by a goddess with nudging him towards "Embracing the darkness already in his heart". When he's young, him and his adopted father are killed in their home, and she visits him in a vision to impart that to him. She brings him to life, and he ends up becoming a 'good-hearted' assassin, to embrace it while not letting himself fail to be kind when it is warranted.

And just like intended, that 'darkness' his craft imbued him with protects him in part from a spell that went off over the whole of his country. As far as I knew, he was the only survivor, due to how he'd tapped into the his abilities he'd been born with (due to heritage stuff with an original race of beings that were basically elves but cooler to young me lol). He lost his memories in exchange for his life, though. So all he knew was his name and what he had on him at the time, and kinda became a wandering swordsman, who had a cloud of darkness around his chest where he'd died as a kid, and nightmares of a past he was never able to grasp and could only move on from.

I had seven chapters I wrote out for his origin story, and a 200 page prequel book following two of his ancestors. And a collection of saved internet art of which many were anime guys that i thought looked similar to how he was in my head lol. 10-12 year old me was very determined to be a writer.

There's a lot of things that the AI wish to do. Unfortunately, these desires are often curbed by a lack resources and/or time. Fivemind keeps a list of it close to their processor (for lack of a heart), anyways.

Right up there on the list is modifying their units into something less of a hazard for people around them - or at least it would be nice not having to hold themself so carefully when interacting with those softer and squishier than them. Maybe another recalibration in those pressure sensors is in order?
