not enough people talk about how personal it is that Merlin and arthur are nearly the same height. thus far I have pretty much only been intimate with people who are within centimeters of my height and god it’s something. we can make eye contact accidentally all the time. across the room, right next to each other, doesn’t matter, we always lock eyes. when we get close it’s anyone’s game. we could kiss. we could back away. we could press each other against a wall. we can feel each others words before we ever touch. every time Merlin is adjusting Arthur’s armor, shoving him around, fixing his clothes, he is right there in his space, eye level, and it’s anyone’s game. can we all agree for a minute that games dont need to look any more real? like we're at a point where you can sometimes guess a video game scene is from a live action film if you see it blind, we dont need to make them any more detailed, because it just drives up the costs of the consoles that run them

game devs need to stop making graphics engines more advanced and start optimizing their shit better cause if you include potato settings for a game and my custom-build pc starts whirring up like a fucking bomb, something is deeply wrong there

Okay but good on Winston for feeling that tiny paper in Julia’s hand and understanding he needed to hold onto it. When someone tried to do that to me with an entire gold bracelet, I fucking dropped it on the floor. All I was thinking was “Wow why is this lady squeezing my hand for so long? I don’t like it,” and backed out without realizing she wanted me to grab the hard metal thing in her hand. I could feel it, but I thought it was her keys or something.

i really wish i could learn sign language, but my brain just does not fully process the way hands and arms and faces move in three-dimensional space. i cannot figure out how to interpret meaning from complex gestures, nor even necessarily what the whole complex gesture is. i can't distinguish between similar physical gestures if they're done even a little bit quickly.

and to add insult to injury, my own ability to reliably move in consistent ways is not the best since i'm hypermobile and lack proprioception, so learning the motions to even speak to others would be extremely difficult without someone literally, physically guiding me through it... which doesn't work even if i found a non-online place to learn (virtually impossible) because i'm touch-averse and it would be completely miserable and i know i wouldn't be able to tolerate that.

it would be such a useful skill to have, especially since i have audio processing issues as well, but it just doesn't work with my entire dysfunctional nervous system :(
