Looks like The Sylvester & Tweety Mysteries is the only one among these shows without Ruegger’s involvement, but music composer Richard Stone was involved with all of these (including additional uncredited music for Tiny Toon Adventurers according to IMDb). I guess these shows could be labeled as the Ruegger/Stone comedies.

The body of work these writers and directors made is pretty incredible

I’m not sure what to call these shows, collectively. Not all of them involved Steven Spielberg, and I hesitate to call them Tom Ruegger cartoons, since his opinion of the Animaniacs reboot reeks of “sour grapes fuddy-duddy”…

Classic Warner Bros cartoons - My Meme

Similar to the Disney meme I made a few months ago, which you can see here: https://ducklooney.tumblr.com/post/736089880235524096/classic-disney-cartoons-my-meme-a-meme-a-few

Unfortunately, due to numerous commitments, I am not able to dedicate myself outside of classic Disney, but certainly Warner Bros deserves attention, since this year is the 100th anniversary of its existence, and I am grateful for the many cartoons and ordinary films that they have given. Especially the Looney Tunes and ACME cartoon universe that I enjoyed as a child. So I made a similar meme to Disney's, only with Warner Bros. Yes, I don't like the Wabbit, as that is one of the weakest points of the Looney Tunes for me, but they are certainly still excellent, each in their own way. Classic Looney Tunes, Tiny Toons, Tazmania, Animaniacs, Pinky and the Brain, Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, Duck Dodgers and Looney Tunes Cartoons.

However, this is my opinion and my meme, and this is just for good humor, so please don't be offended. If you like this meme, and these cartoons, feel free to like and reblog this. And happy 100th anniversary Warner Bros, 30th anniversary of the original Animaniacs, and 20th anniversary of Duck Dodgers!

What do you think of Sly, Tweety, and Granny genuinely getting along with each off-screen?

My general headcanons towards off-screen Looney Tunes interactions are that they all are on relatively good terms, but specifically with those three

I like to believe that Sly and Tweety are kind of like brothers. Tweety is the younger, manipulative (yet sweet) one, and Sylvester is like the older, more antagonistic brother who still cares deep down. I imagine he teases Tweety (and probably Hector, honestly) a lot, but doesn't try to eat him off-screen (at least not as much.)

Granny probably still takes no shit. I imagine she's kind of like how she is in Looniversity. She cares, but also has a life of her own, you know. She'd probably crack down on some of the more destructive behaviors, but just lets the little things slide because

Who's got time to deal with ALL the things these two do to each other?

They're just messing around most of the time.

With a lot of the off-screen interactions, it's hard to tell in canon when they're really off-screen, lol ("That Blooper Bunny", "Space Jam", "Space Jam 2", "Back in Action", etc...). Sometimes I defer to the nicest versions of the characters and go "that's probably how they act." (You'll often see me talk about Sly as an artist for that exact reason, lol)

Sylvester is one of my favourite Looney Tunes characters. I recently started watching Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries, and I love it so much! Series 1 and 2 are so good 🙏
