Ethan is loyal to his mother because he thinks that she’s an embodiment of his principles, thus a good person to trust. Percy is loyal to his father because he thinks that he’s a person he should love, consequently a good example of his values. Does that even make sense

The more I read about ALW and Sarah Brightman’s relationship, it’s so obvious why Erikstine is the way it is and how we got something so seemingly OOC as Love Never Dies (but it’s actually not that ooc when you look at it’s “inspirations”)

plot concept:

older regular guy gets put into position of extreme power by a large group of people. he feels sorta unqualified, but goes along with it anyway. after a while in this position, he meets a young woman who is obviously deeply traumatised but also incredibly powerful, along with her best friend who’s really only along for the ride. he accidentally imprints on the young woman and later tells her he sees her as a daughter he never had. she (rightfully) freaks the fuck out. he later learns she technically is his daughter.
