I'm thinking again about Wynn and Gavin and Bwua'tu just, like, standing at the other end of the table when Luke finds out about the Ones and then they have to fucking cope with that somehow.

Especially Wynn, because he's the youngest (I don't remember Bwua'tu's age offhand, but usually people don't make CNO before 30) and has almost no prior experience with the Weird Force Things that Jedi say under regular conditions, let alone this cosmic fucking bullshit.

not to sound like a boomer, but I need some people to learn how to write emails in a semi-professional (at the very least) format so you're not cold emailing a business/potential employer/any other stranger about formal matters in the exact same way you'd DM a close friend on instagram

the formality/language can loosen up in the email chain once you've established a rapport and you match the other person if they're being less formal, but please don't have the very first email you send a stranger be written in all lowercase ultra-casual sms slang with no greeting or signature and a billion emojis

There's a panel in Star Wars 17 where Vader tells Luke "Your strength in the Force has grown since last we met" and Luke corrects him "My connection to the Force, Vader," and this is interesting for what it says about the difference between Sith and Jedi philosophies but it's also an interesting character note that Luke feels compelled to be pedantic even in the middle of a goddamn firefight.

does anyone else forget that percy and annabeth (and all demigods) aren’t actually human? they’re part human, part deity. but not identified as either.

like… they have some human dna, they appear human and act human and feel human… but they are not human. just like they’re 50% god, but they are not gods. becasue even though the gods choose to appear as humans, they are composed of the same fundamental particles and forces that make up everything in the universe. they’re incorporeal energy. they’re these metaphysical transcendent entities that can shape-shift

and that is half of what a demigod is. percy and annabeth are not human beings. they’re some kind of hybrids. they’re humanoids. if percy and annabeth were to take DNA tests, the results would look something like this:

and i low key feel like they would have a good time using this fact to make ppl uncomfortable

like imagine percy and annabeth are out with both their families on a walk near the beach, and there’s this little mini cliff. percy and annabeth just casually jump down, but the rest of them are like “uh, guys, we can’t do that” to which percy and annabeth just respond “ugh, humans…🙄” knowing full well that for the rest of the day, all any of them will be able to think about is how the two of them are in fact, not human.

Summary:

Imperials show up during a reconnaissance mission. Luke does something risky to get the rest of the pilots out - leaving himself behind. Day 7: ONLY FOR EMERGENCIES Unconventional Weapon | Magic with a Cost | “It’s us or them.”

Excerpt:

“Luke, are you okay?”

Luke turned around, ignoring the shivers that wanted to wrack him. “What?”

“You look pale, Commander.” Tycho’s face was pressed with worry.

“Oh, uh, yeah. It’s just…” He hesitated. Should he say it? No, his pilots deserved to know. “I think Vader’s nearby.”

Tycho swore. “What?! Are you sure?”

“Unfortunately, yes. The Force is…distinctive around him.” Luke took a deep breath, and let it out. “I have to go to him. You guys have to leave.”

so! this was SUPPOSED to be a bonnie drawing. but for some reason i just Can’t draw bonnie to save my life today. and i needed to draw something simple to make myself less frustrated!! and by simple i mean this took me almost 3 hours and i had to redraw it because i didn’t like how the lineart turned out the first time!! oops!! at least it turned out cute🩶. and i got to play around with my textured brush!

also as a bonus, my terrible first attempt + the sketch!! that i apparently accidentally deleted at some point? so this is a screenshot from the timelapse. i dont know what happened to it…

Forcemasc except instead of pushing you to go to the gym, it's pushing you to do your physio. it's pushing you to take up space and take your wellbeing seriously - use your mobility aids, take your meds, stop letting other people push you too hard. stop pushing yourself too hard. Understand that you deserve to be here, deserve to be who you are, deserve to be respected. That your masculinity isn't defined by your physical strength or your athleticism or how you look or what other people think of you - it's just part of who and how you are, and now you have someone who sees that. That sees You, and won't let you back down from who you really are.

anyone else have multiple traumatic memories associated specifically with holidays/family vacations? because that is a topic I never see discussed in all the So You Had A Shitty Childhood, Now What? self-help books i've been reading. but for me, it was a significant thing. and the more i think about it the more it seems like this would be an (unfortunately) common experience. would be grateful to hear if this matches other peoples' experiences...
