Painting a reans cryptek! (I know it's not a cryptek but I'm not done) has been really fun. I'm still figuring out exactly how I want the colours, and I think they've come out a little too dark on this test piece

It is time for me to return the workplace storytime ask. Here is the spicy details of my current work place drama:

So we received a coworker yesterday for “training” which made us assume that this guy is new and needs to shadow for a few days to learn. No big deal, it’s happened before. Not to toot our own horn or anything, but we’re one of the strongest teams in the company, so we get sent new hires to train all the time.

He comes in, he seems normal but shy, and that’s fine. It’s intimidating on your first day especially when you get thrown into a classroom with kids who don’t know you. We give him grace.

In fact, it’s not even his first week.

He came to learn from us because HE GOT REMOVED FROM HIS OTHER SITE. He’s with us because if he doesn’t learn something, he’s gonna get fired.

Apparently, allegedly, he was flirting with someone at his last site, and it made people uncomfy. He also, apparently, had issues with how he spoke to parents and kids (rude?)

When he was speaking to me and two other of my coworkers he was pretty defensive when we told him things. Just like telling him to be mindful and use his judgement and stuff.

But we talked to our other coworker about it BECAUSE, drumroll please….

We all absolutely clocked that he was flirting with this last coworker. Like they walk in and we were like “oooh are they gonna kisssss?” (No)

And according to this last coworker, he was NOT defensive with them. He took criticism and notes very well and applied them. He also opened up about what happened at his last site, and said that the allegations were unfounded because they accused him of flirting with a male coworker and he, in fact, had a girlfriend (at the time but not now? unclear)

Now, what have I been keeping from you about this fourth coworker that he was flirting with and will listen to?

FOURTH COWORKER IS A MAN.

He won’t listen to any of the women/woman presenting coworkers, but he WILL listen to the man. And he’ll flirt with the man.

So today he’s gonna be with me, and he’s gonna be with my female coworker, and we’ll see what happens.

THE PLOT TWIST so he was mad that they accused him of flirting with a male coworker which "wasn't true" and then he turns around and. flirts with a male coworker. HM I WONDER WHERE THE ACCUSATIONS CAME FROM.

one thing i love about mash is the little background things that they do. not because theyre essential to the plot or literally anything but it just helps the show and the characters feel so alive. hawkeye spraying bugspray around the tent and getting trapper in the eyes has absolutely nothing to do with the scene or the topic of conversation its not even integral to the episode its just something theyre doing in the middle of everything else happening because they have to. hawkeye sitting in the colonel's office filing the nails of the skeleton dummy just because he's bored. trapper creating a paper clip chain on one end and hawkeye dismantling it at the other end while theyre in a meeting. theyre reading theyre painting theyre writing theyre winding up skeins of yarn theyre knitting theyre mending socks and playing chess. theyre playing football or basketball or golfing or going fishing or having cockroach races. not because these things are important but BECAUSE theyre unimportant. its what makes them human. Its what makes the sets feel lived in and not just sets. if you've got a group of characters who never do anything but talk about the scene on hand then you dont have a group of characters at all you have a group of plot devices. make them bored make them fidgety make them interact with the environment around them make them live.

my fav Concept is loop traveling w the party post-loops and yes all that entails but also. itd be really funny if the familiarity and closeness they have w sif for multiple reasons made the family just a lil jealous. not enough to be a problem or anything but like. they see sif napping in loops lap fully relaxed and unstressed and theyre like man.......... i wish that were me...................
