Painting a reans cryptek! (I know it's not a cryptek but I'm not done) has been really fun. I'm still figuring out exactly how I want the colours, and I think they've come out a little too dark on this test piece

Tbh I tried hard to avoid interacting with anime fans who hate demon slayer(jjk fans especially seem to despise it a lot) but I've seen this take about it being carried by animation and it's the only reason people like it

Does animation play a part in its popularity? Yes of course. I know so many people discovered fate and DS BECAUSE they heard about how good the animation is

But animation alone is never the reason people stay, kimetsu no yaiba may have a simple story but it's still very effective and emotional and the reason people love it is because they're invested in that story and characters
