hey i had the funniest idea imaginable. ok so. what if, during a familyquest + kingquest combo loop, mira's aroacery and the fact that vaugarde isn't the most accepting to someone like her who wants to stay the same came up while sif was playing 20 questions w king. and king was like oooh......... what do you mean.........? the loving people of vaugarde....... being unaccepting.......... of such a trivial thing...........? ooooh........... perhaps...... vaugarde is not as perfect as i thought........... i...... cannot possibly immortalize it in the amber of time as is, then...............

which makes everyone excited bc oh shit he's giving it up? fr???? and he's like no. i WILL freeze vaugarde eventually........ but we have to address the aroacephobia first............. only then can i preserve it in eternity......

and that's the end of kingquest bc he refuses to keep fighting when he has a much more important foe to vanquish.......... intolerance.

and yes this breaks the loops. bc the party decide to stay together to

1) figure out wtf to do in this looney toons ass situation

2) keep an eye on king so he doesn't do anything crazie(r)

I love villains that are the reverse of the idea that the absence of love makes you evil. Villains that love to the point of paranoia and obsession. Villains whose love for someone corrupts them. Love being used for awful, evil things. Using love to justify horrific actions. Anything that breaks down the toxic idea that people who don’t feel love are monsters and those who feel love are always pure and heroic and morally right.

king fight (long explaination under the cut)

so i had a dream about the king. in it he was even bigger than in canon (not surprising, i think my brain likes making him even bigger than he already is), and he and the party were in a city much bigger than dormont.

but...there was a second king, too. he was also bigger and unlike the canon king he used his powers to sow chaos in vaugarde, subjecting vaugardians to an "accelerated form of change" so that theyll finally resonate with him and submit to his will.

the two kings didnt agree with eachothers methods so they started fighting like kaijus while the party watched from afar, because there was no way in hell they were getting involved in that, and the second king almost managed to pin the first one down but the first one managed to overpower him last second and then started to freeze him.

but then he stopped mid way and started to unfreeze the king. i think it was because he wanted him to understand his goals better? like, maybe being half frozen made the second king remember a tiny bit of his home but not everything?? however that worked, whats important is that after being unfrozen the second king knew that he could attack the first one because he had an opening, and he chose not to. and then they teamed up

"objectively physically attractive but in possession of negative rizz" is one of my favorite character concepts. i think it's so great when there's an absurdly hot person who's just a complete fucking loser. the mood is unsalvageable the moment they open their mouth kind of deal. you get no bitches because you're so sucks.
