im sorry i like the sociopolitical questions in arcane but if that's your main focus in the show then you're gonna have a bad time. it's always been about the characters first. how their relationships and actions affect their actions and relationships. the sociopolitical stuff is fine! it's context and conflict and gives the show a grounded footwork but like. it's pretty obvious that the focus was NEVER going to be that by the time you finish season 1, it's a character focused tragedy.

"it should have been handled better!" idk probably! but i still haven't processed the show and it's been a month. nor have i done a rewatch. i dont think anyone will have a clear perspective until spring. oh it's important! VERY much so! but i worry people are missing the forest for the trees. storytelling is king. anyway.

why do people deny what elriel has? It baffles me that people actually try to make their scenes they have together into something else and saying its not romantic. we elriel's get called delusional for believing our couple could be endgame even when they have multiple scenes together that backs up our opinions and not one bonus scene that people just nitpicked and did everything they could possibly do to see if their ship could be endgame?!?

I totally get the frustration & annoyance, trust me, it gives you a headache trying to wrap your head around how people are genuinely doubting elriel over a ship that doesn’t even have any romantic scenes. You know what happened w that bonus chapter? It was over-exaggerated and over-romanticised.

Imagine this. You absolutely hate elriel and when you first read the bonus, your worst nightmares have come true. Azriel is in fact wanting Elain. There is a mutual attraction and want between them. Your hope that Elain secretly wanted Lucien has gone up in flames or the hope that Azriel didn’t actually want the blandest character in the series has also gone up in flames. Your distraught. Disappointed but then comes along another fmc in the bonus. A female character you actually like, over elain. Ofc you’re going to use that as a way to ship her w Az instead of accepting the obvious. Elain & Az are endgame. Poor Gwyn is simply a self-insert as well as the “better” option for Azriel as she is more widely liked. Her whole interaction w Azriel has been so inflated that when you look at it with unbiased lens, you just find it silly.

How many times have we been told that the shadows love gwyn? That they’re so playful with her? That they performed an entire salsa with Gwyn? Going off this alone, it seems so romantic right? Yet when you actually read the scene,

How disappointing is that scene compared to the way Gwynriels promote it? The shadows aren’t given any emotions. There is no way to tell they’re being playful. Its not even plural, it was one shadow that danced with gwyns breath. It can’t just be me finding this so unbelievably plain.

Then you get told by gwynriels that Gwyn and Az bantered! They had a simple conversation in which Gwyn herself couldnt care less + Azriel actively was trying to be polite. “Gwyn allows Az to open up so much! We find out he sings” im being honest- if you made it this far not knowing Azriel is a singer despite it being in the literal name, shadowsinger, thats just you being odd. Can’t forget the kicker - “The image sparkkng in his chest, where it glowed quietly”.

But you know what? This could have just been an amusing crackship. Yet, its when antis come for elriel with their stupid takes that get you annoyed especially when its just mischaracterising Elain and Az purposely. THAT becomes bothersome. EL and GA stans have turned Azriel into a toxic, possessive incel that needs to be isolated in therapy away from all women - excluding Gwyn, ofc, gwynnie is the ONLY one that can help him through his disturbing issues bcs Gwynnie is just the best. As you said, elriels dont need the bonus. The ship is more then canon within the books, the bonus simply gives more insight into Azriels character in acosf, but gwynriel? Even gwynriels know that gwyn isn’t an important character as of now bcs she has no ties to the IC. She hasn’t met Feyre, the Main character and sjms biggest voice in the series. Gwyn and Rhys aren’t buddies. He will be a Hl to her. She is simply Nestas friend. Nothing more.

I used to like her character but gwynriels and her stans kept on shoving her down my throat yapping about how awesome & great she is compared to Elain, who was boring. Her stans hated elain so much, bringing her down whilst uplifting Gwyn that I now just can’t stand Gwyn. I haven’t reread acosf bcs I don’t want to go through any gwyn scenes. I dont interact w Gwyn content either. I viewed Gwyn the same way you did. She was a side character to Nestas story. She was great, but didnt stick out to me.

As sad as it sounds, the only reason so many people are obsessed with Gwyn is Bcs they’ve potrayed her as another Li for Azriel. Otherwise, she would have been treated the same way Emerie has been treated. As a side character.

Just to end off: Anon, Gwynriels and Eluciens make themselves look foolish when they claim elriel aren’t romantic or obvious. How am I suppose to take their ships seriously when they can’t even acknowledge elriels’ foreshadowing and romance clearly displayed in the books? i love ddlc+ because it puts even more perspective as to why characters act the way they do in the original game. i especially loved the insight into natsuki and yuri. we just assumed that natsuki was just angry all the time for no reason, right? the fact her father abused her does also explain her abrasive language as thats probably how she's used to being spoken to, but ddlc+ made me realize how she is very rarely malicious deliberately, and the fact that she is genuinely bad with social cues. normally people would think of yuri when it comes to a lack of social awareness, but i'm telling you, they both have it, they just act in different ways.

i love how natsuki and yuri are two sides of the same coin. yuri is bad with social cues and typically responds in embarrassment when she misses them, meanwhile natsuki responds in anger. however, even though they seem so different, their behaviour is actually similar. they both hide true parts of themselves out of self esteem issues, prohibiting themselves from talking about their passions if they come across as "too intense" or "childish". though yuri's most common reaction to rejection is self-blame, at least on the surface, she does show anger occasionally because deep down, she feels like she should have a right to be herself just as much as natsuki does, she just typically defaults to a flight response rather than a fight one.

i think them being so similar is why they tend to bring out the worst in each other. a funny difference between the girls' routes in ddlc is that either natsuki or yuri will suggest writing poems about the same subject to the other, and the other will suspect them of doing it to show off, because they don't trust each other enough to think either of them had pure intentions. when really, they did, they just reached each other in a state where the other is not ready to trust (because the trauma from feeling like their personalities are wrong and should be changed makes trust hard!!) right person, wrong time, even.

i'm sprinkling in some of my own headcanons/theories here but i think natsuki probably has ptsd due to the way she's constantly on high alert to defend herself, she always assumes that she's being personally attacked, and it takes a lot to settle her down, probably because she *does* get attacked at home and it creates a sense of panic in her when she senses that happening in whats supposed to be her safe place. as for yuri, ddlc+ pretty much convinced me that she's on the autism or add spectrum, maybe both. she seems to have rejection sensitive dysphoria along with her missing many social cues and being easily overstimulated.

i used to dislike yuri quite a bit because i found her hypocritical and didn't understand why she was polite one second, then arguing intensely the next. i felt more sympathy for her when i realized that like all humans, she gets overwhelmed having to hold in how she feels and is hyprocritical in her arguments because her emotions run so high that she can't think straight when hurt, it becomes all about how she feels because selfishness is a mechanism to protect herself from pain. with how uncomfortable she gets being referred to as "the smartest" she probably feels like the club has an expectation of her which she is afraid to break, so she conforms until she can't take it and lashes out when provoked.

natsuki and yuri's arguments are literally just them riling each other up without realizing because they're both thinking "i'm literally just being myself what is your problem" when really they've been hurting each other on a personal level without even knowing how personal their insults are, because to them, t's just their opinions, and they are bad at expressing them carefully.

You know for people who claim that taylor swift is mid at best yall seem to like complaining about her a lot. And trust me i have my criticisms of her and dont disagree that her supposedly progressive politics are watered down and weak and she doesnt put her money where her mouth is, but shes also not actively using her platform to cause harm like a lot of people are. (Jason aldean for example, largely popular country musician, recently released a song that alludes to lynching protestors and i saw stuff about that for like. A day) I think people who hail her as a beacon of progress are annoying and out of touch too but for people who claim not to give a shit about her i just dont get why you care so much when theres so many other things to talk about. It just seems like every other post i see on here is about how people cant stand her and like. Thats fine? Youre allowed to not like popular things this is very much the website for that. But its so constant. I dont see any other mediocre white musicians getting as much flak as she does because people rightfully dont give a shit. Like i do not understand the hype for say, Ariana Grande. And sure ive seen criticisms of her for appropriating black and latino fashion and looks which is absolutely true and should be discussed. All you’d need to do is hurt someone she cared about!! You touch a hair on any of her siblings heads and you’d be dead instantly, and any of her students she’d be ready to throw hands for so fast!!

It’s harder to become her friend than enemy… Saeka is quite reclusive and solitary most of the time, not because she wants to be but because she doesn’t really know any different when she’s not with her family yknow? That being said, her bestie Anzu was the one to make a space for herself in Saekas life so she didn’t have much control of that (and wouldn’t change it for the world either🤍) she’s polite and friendly to an extent, but her social battery drains v quickly these days, so she needs people that run on her kinda wave length!

She was raised to carry the weight of her family name, and they have some cultural significance in terms of clans in Japan! They follow traditions and festivities which she upholds even when she’s not at home! Saeka is the one most connected to that side of the family, and tends to have to rope her other siblings into joining her otherwise it’s her alone to celebrate, but her brothers especially make a point to join her because they know it’ll make her happy!

OOF ALYSSA THATS A LOW BLOW!! I would say family, as her drive in life is to protect them all, but after leaving home and being an adult etc when her siblings are older (and no longer fully her responsibility), she gets to be more herself so her friends that share that with her are on just as high of a pedestal to her as her siblings! (Her parents can get fucked in her opinion, tho she’d never actually say that to them haha)

Almost everyone is instantly Mineyos enemy off the bat. She thinks everyone sees her a certain way, so if they’ll judge before knowing her then she’ll judge them too! Only those that are fearless enough to push past her brash exterior are able to see her true colours and carefree personality!

Again, not v easy! If you share similar passions to her then it’s easier to talk to her for definite! That’s how Rin and all his friends were able to befriend her, but most of the time she is closed off and distant because she has no need or longing to have friends, they’ll only stand in her way in her eyes!

Not really… she definitely has habits that’s she’s developed from living in Australia her whole life, so moving to Japan was a bit of a culture shock; BUT, her mama is Japanese and encouraged her to speak Japanese/enjoy their traditions as she grew up so she has a lot of respect for Japanese culture as a whole!

Family. Her mama, step dad and half siblings (as well as kitty Coral) are her go to people for anything, she trusts them with her life and they are her safe place! They support her in all that she does and respect what she’s like as a person based off of her traumas.

That can also be said for her friends tho, she just doesn’t know it. Rin makes it clear to her how much her cares (and his friends do over time too), but she will always go to her family first before getting friends involved - even if they’re adamant they wanna be involved!

EXACTLY like that was so so frustrating because even if we know that Arcane is it's own "iteration" or well used to be....(I think it's confirmed canon which um...yeah thats a choice after having a multiverse ep.) In the OG lore, Viktor BECAME the Machine Herald by his own hands....He literally chose that path and while you can argue some of his lore feels like it could be fleshed out. The point is that his rise to glory was....from his own accord and vision.

Viktor's decisions were tested by Piltover constantly taking advantage of him (Professors/ ppl constantly stealing his hard work....from a Zaunite who had nothing.) while Zaun suffered because they still have gas and chemical incidents that are brushed off by the elite. Viktor so far as we know was the ONLY person to come up with his mechanical suit because he knew Zaun was suffering and wanted to aid the labor force.....and a professor stole his idea....his invention. Even after he became the Machine Herald, Viktor wasn't revealed to be... a total psychopath as the rumors in his short story suggest....He just made decisions that were very morally questionable in terms of The Glorious Evolution and he never really forced ANYONE to join....He gave them the CHOICE (Ex: "There is always a choice." - Viktor)

The lost opportunity to have Viktor a tragic anti-hero who is STILL viewed as the enemy from BOTH sides even though he has spent his life helping people (after Piltover is labeling him as a monster) after he left Piltover to cement his legacy in saving Zaun from war and Jayce constantly breaking his trust is actually a really good way to end his arc and way to end off his story (not only does it open for continuations like for Jayvik moments and IN GENERAL, but it's stays true to a satisfying yet promising prequel to show that VILLAINS or rather Anti-Heroes too are MADE....They make decisions influenced by the current state of their world, views, morals, and ect.)

It's a very realistic lens to show how not ALL people are viewed as heroes....or will have their image be ruined in favor of "keeping the peace" (cough Piltover cough) even if they're intentions weren't all bad or they're wrongdoings small. It's a pretty realistic thing that happens in the real world with some political figures or groups (in Propoganda, War, and etc.)

This could've also opened up the explanation for champions like Renata and etc. Bc we could've had her be the person who would take in Viktor after he left Piltover with the proposition of having him as her "co-partner"(but not with the right intentions....mostly ofc because maybe she wants to fund weapons/Hextech to monopolize it and aid it for Zaun too) Which would set off his arc to go on his own path, it makes sense for him to do this and...it's a good way to subverting the original lore.

Compared to having him be a wizard and a magic user this WHOLE time...which in my opinion diminishes a lot of what we've seen him do and is capable of in S1....and feels like cheap way to write him as a Gary Stu. When first of all....if we are to be logical:

1) Ryze is still a wizard and would've known about the events of S2 bc mages/magic users get their power from the Arcane. He literally spen his entire life searching runes and his role as a mage, so he WOULD'VE KNOWN about the warping disarray that was happening and imo, was a robbed aspect to address this as a part of Heimerdinger's backstory/a meaningful redemption arc.

2) Jayce (not even Viktor) DIDN'T even invent Hextech....it was actually Camille and House Ferros (....Nice try Fortiche) Jayce just made it a public revolutionary discovery to Piltover, so in reality Dumbledore! Viktor didn't really "invent" shit bc in the timeline he was only present during Jayce's childhood (Unless Riot retcons that too and says that Viktor was also there when Camille invented it....which is yknow S level writing.)

3) Also the multiverse aspect is so contrived bc if every universe is a parallel universe of "what could have been" or "what if", then this would mean in a universe where he is the mage there would be another parallel were Viktor is a wizard but with differences to what happened. REALISTICALLY, if we are going with this theory....it makes no sense for their NOT to be a universe where Viktor ISNT the Villain. Like this entire Multiverse worldbuilding was so badly written, bc it feels like a poorly excuse to give a reason as to why Viktor is the villain??? (which is very ignorantly ableist argument in my opinion) and it goes AGAINST the Multiverse/Alternate Universe theory bc it's impossible for EVERY universe to have the exact same outcome (It's like they just rounded down the worst outcomes, even tho it's A MULTIVERSE...Dr. Strange level speech excuse.)

So yeah definitely still a Machine Herald fan and Herald of the Arcane fan. BUT mostly a Machine Herald fan because...He doesn't just look good in metal....He's like an actually pretty cool guy, who just wants to create inventions and do crimes in peace...(like a true based introvert), AND HE'S A DAD WHO LOVES HIS ROBOT SON??? (Herald of the Arcane could never...)

P.S. if the creators still wanted a multiverse with the s2 finale ending. They would have to have a 3 to 4 season to really flesh the story more (bc after all the writing pitfalls they shouldve done a 3 - 4 seasons to flesh the plotlines/character arcs out). Or simply have a Convergence spinoff for Ekko (I bet $100 they'll end up doing that shi.)

Hajime is patience, his patience is strained with Oikawa's ego but, with others, he is far more understanding. Iwaizumi always believes in getting to know a person before truly judging the relationship between the two of you. Friendship comes first, then he can worry about all of the nasty details. Hajime wants to communicate all important and necessary details to you but, he also doesn't want to annoy you so he'll share what he thinks is necessary and if you ask more, you shall receive. You can definitely rely on Hajime for social interaction but, he does encourage you in some moments to speak up because he is worried your opinion will be over shined.

Thoma

He is more on the extrovert side of things due to how talkative he can be with total strangers. Thoma tries to be polite due to his status, but he is far more bluntly honest when it comes to people he's close to, Meaning he will appreciate your honesty. Thoma is very understanding of becoming tired when socializing and he may not realize you are snappy but once you do snap at him he tries to help as much as he can. Thoma has a pure and loving soul so I would be quite surprised if he truly irritated you to a point of disliking him. Thoma is too patient at times. He understands that getting close and becoming true friends takes time and he's more than willing to wait for you to be comfortable. Thoma trusts you after time aswell, so you'll both gain from a little longer of a wait rather than just diving in headfirst. Thoma is an expert in reassuring others and helping them with confidence. Thoma will patiently wait for you to be more relaxed around him, and he'll make sure to respect any and all boundaries you may have. Thoma often ends up dealing with many people's social events so he wouldn't mind having to interact with others for you!

You know what since we’re still in quarantine and i have nothing else better to do, i need to obsess over ACOTAR. I don't like a court of frost and starlight. For the longest time I couldn't figure out why I didn't like it. I aggressively read the book in maybe a day and I closed it feeling frustrated and annoyed. My version had A Court of Silver Flames preview so that definitely contributed to my annoyance greatly.

It's because it felt too perfect. Everything that had happened -- after the entire war was fought and won, they just go back to their normal lives? Yes there were hiccups and yes there were still aspects that made every IC character feel like their problems aren’t solved yet...but it didnt feel right. yes i enjoyed the snowball fight between the bat boys, feyre + rhys sexy time, and those little comfort moments too, the slice of life type things and seeing feyre accomplishing her goals and how hopeful the future seems BUT its too fast. the good parts of the book did not offset the bad parts of it.

Feyre literally accomplished pretty much every single goal she made back in ACOMAF just like that?? within a span of what a few months? a year?? She really came back from an entire war -- probably the first war of many since she's immortal and just like that, after her 21st birthday: she gets a whole entire estate, wants to start poppin babies, opens her art studio and starts teaching kids and then acting like she can rule an entire court?? the timeline is sooo short esp since its been brought up over and over again how everyone is literally 500 years old and have a super “messy” history and their changes seems to come super dupe slowly. but feyre, who has only lived 0.000000002% of her fae life, is out here thriving just fine???

the war devastated thousands of illyrian soldiers where its changing the politics of the illyrains and the faes, all of whom feyre has responsibilities over too as high lady. the mortal queens are still at large who left the humans on prythian to die which is why feyre was willing to go to war in the first place! what about the rest of hybern and their land and residents?? they wanted to enslave humans for social and economical reasons! then what about integrating humans w deep hatred and fear with deeply prejudice fae??? there’s also spring and summer court who are literally in ruins. thats literally so much. so idk how feyre is just chillin???? she gonna let rhys do all the hard work???

like feyre sit down. u should not be having a baby. esp since it took u literally a 700 pages to heal from those 3 months UTM. ur telling me shes gonna whole heartedly bring in a newborn in a war devastated world, with civil unrest (illyrains, other courts), with the messiness of human and fae integration, with trauma u and rhys will have to continue to overcome esp after THIS war??? even helping ur sisters w their traumas??

this is a personal opinion on this subject (and maybe my thoughts will change on this later on; opened to other thoughts) but when i read the part about how that weaver/seamstress artist who made that dark quilt that feyre loved talked about how her mate of 300 years didn’t come back from the war and her biggest regret was that she didnt have a kid to remember him by i just thought ur kid isn’t some sort of memorabilia. don’t have a kid to keep the memory of ur mate alive; have a kid cuz u want a kid purely for the sake of having a kid. ur memories and photos and shit will keep their memory alive but its not having a kid. some primitive need to keep the genes alive maybe?? but the way it was phrased and then in turn how feyre was like oh i need  a baby pronto cuz rhys might die in the next war and regret not having a kid with him didn’t sit right with me. also the other couple were together for +300 years and have a rich life together, while shes been with rhys for literally two years THATS NOTHING IN FAE YEARS. thats still the honeymoon phase and also ur problems arent even close to being over!!!

everyone was shitty to nesta. in ACOMAF, we saw how much the IC went through and still did all they could to help feyre. what made them not think nesta deserve the same welcome? nesta is mean as a defense but did no one try to figure out what would help (amren got close but shes so under developed)??? feyre knows nesta feels too much and yet she continued to be shitty. continued to flaunt her wealth, her status, her familiarity/borderline know-it-all attitude about fae/night court, her ~estate~. forcing nest to the solstice party when nesta was literally like i dont belong, im looking at everyone through a window type of thing; the fire cracking triggering her, etc. what kind of power play was that when she made nesta come to her estate, where nesta could SEE how ~homey~ and how suscessful feyre is and fully see all the lovely paintings of everyone feyre loves that explicitly exclude her to tell her to fuck off to a war camp?? bro???? cas was a dick too and elaine was rude. i think a lot of his actions were meant to make her angry since anger keeps u fighting (as was the method of rhys for feyre in ACOMAF) but what he said was stupidly shitty and i demand that he apologize properly. elaine could have done more to help her sister but whatever. mor was definitely an ass too (and im upset for how little her character growth is). 

Lucein. that man can’t catch a break tbh. im happy that hes w the band of exiles cuz he is whole heartedly accepted there. feyre was definitely an asshole to him even tho he helped as much as he could throughout the books. he tries so hard w elaine as well and it did hit my heart a bit when she was like gloves to work in my garden?? no ?? i use my bare hands see oNly aZiReL sEeS mE fOr WhO i Am. and at the same feyre is like flaunting her mate status to lucein which is mean as shit. its like this man can’t find love in prythain. then tamlin sending him his box of his things??? thats for sure brutral. tam was literally his partner through it all; savior of sorts even. no love from IC, no love from elaine, no love from feyre, no love from tamlin, no love from autumn court rejected everywhere! also HIS TRUE FATHER?? HEllo??? 

then on tamlin. i pity the guy! was i suppose to feel that way??? it felt like he is allowed to get a redemption arc and maybe i’ll even root for a redemption arc??? i was absolutely excited for freysand in ACOMAF but after ACOFAS, im like tamlin is....not completely bad??? his relationship w feyre was bad and the controlling parts were very much a no-no. i dont truly understand the dynamics of an abusive relationship but i can understand that it can be insidious and its the little things that hurt the victim. and i felt  feyre through ACOMAF and rooted for her to escape her abuser! but then it felt like i dont think he was doing any of those things out of malice. ill say tamlin is a bad leader and doesn’t know how to run a court outside of what he sees his father do. his understanding on everything is based on the traditions of the past which i think fueled most of the things he did i.e. not telling feyre she was in danger since maybe his mom didn’t do those war planning things. ACOTAR showed how he truly cared/loved and took good care of feyre and her family. he even talked about how he didn’t believe in the enslavement of humans! i think that tam wanted to preserve what he thought was the good (aka feyre + her love of painting) and get back a sense of control that he and his entire court lost while chained to amarantha. but at the same time, i think he truly thought feyre wasn’t safe. he knows rhys can crush minds and knows feyre can’t read/write so when he got that letter telling him shes safe of course hes gonna flip shit and made a deal w the devil (although those temper outbursts were DEFINITIVELY not ok!!!). he also didn’t listen and has sense of he knows best when feyre was not the type of person. but feyre destroyed his entire court. he lost all his sentries who literally went out to die for him during amarantha’s reign. he lost lucien too; his trusted right hand man. his people were cursed for 50 years and then continued to suffer UTM and was in the process of rebuilding too!  but just seeing spring court, WHO BORDERS THE HUMANS, be in ruins where his subjects left him, his people left him and hes all alone in the manson?? that was sooo sad. so im like why does what feyre did not feel satisfactory????? im mad that it didn’t feel right??? maybe there wasn’t a point where feyre talked to tamlin -- like really talked to him esp w her new found voice and power, etc. anyways, i dont hate tamlin and was like oh shit i think feyre fucked up a bit there.

rhys is a dick to nesta. which made me think, if feyre wasn’t his mate would he extend the same love and care to her???  i loved how he tried so hard to make sure feyre was ok. made sure she wasn’t breaking! all of it! but for nesta, he had the audacity to use his high lord voice and be an ass overall. even tho he can see how cas is fucken in love??? even just how he talks to cass feels off too. 

i’ll even go as far as to say because of how terrible ACOFAS was, it created this intense divide within the fandom. i remember reading the first three books and was absolutely 1) rooting for freysand  2) curious about the sister relationship and how it will be mended 3) i definitely didn’t hate nesta nor did i hate elaine either -- but i was adament about them talking it out with feyre for those tough times 4) saw a more realistic and charming healing arc 5) was rooting for feyre to be a stronger voice and grow into herself 6) love the dynamic of the inner circle + feyre

but after ACOFAS, I have this intense need to defend nesta and was super mad at how she was treated after the war and in turn a deep dislike for elaine for both her lack of agency, lack of grit that made all the other characters interesting, and lack of care for her sisters (who showed how much they would risk for her). i dont hate rhys but i was extremely not happy with him and his attitude and behavior. feyre became more arrogant and was acting like how asshole rhysand would act. like her life is perfect now and i was not rooting for her anymore. freysand didn’t feel like they have complimenting qualities that made them interesting in the first place but rather they are merging to become the same person but in a bad way. that mind reading thing was cute in the beginning but it became insufferable since all thoughts were shared so seamlessly it made reading feel weird. 

anyways those are my thoughts on ACOFAS. it was a 1/5 stars for me and im mad those events transpired. reading the other books made me excited to know what was gonna happen and i was truly ready to accept the characters as flawed and nuanced as they are. im not mad about character not liking each other but i am mad that everything felt off. ACOFAS just felt regressive in some parts and forced in other parts. i know not everything ends in a nice tied up bow but this book single handily ruined what i thought about these characters in the worse way possible. this book wasn’t suppose to wrap up all the problems that exists in the other books but it didn’t feel hopeful like i thought it would. it didn’t feel wrapped up and didn’t feel like i should be excited about the next books. theres so many missing pieces i feel that i think need explaining and at the same time, i think it introduced too many problems at once which made it feel like its jumping around everywhere. although im still excited for ACOSF because i love nesta, and nesta deserves so much better and i want to have hope that this bad ending will either make sense later on or it was just a blimp.

GOING ON A HIATUS

Thanks to everyone who's taken the time out to read my posts and has enjoyed it so far. It's really been fun and entertaining exchanging thoughts and having these much deeper ship discussions.

I thought this issue was gonna go away but I woke up this morning to more people messaging me about finding my last video analysis on several other platforms without appropriate credit.

But that's not disturbing. The disturbing part is the people sliding into people's DM'S on other platforms to get them to take down my video because they don't want people sharing my content on other platforms as they believe it would only make my blog popular.

For those worried about this whole credit business, thanks for showing this much concern for me? I really appreciate the love and concern if it's from a genuine place of concern. Thank you...

I think some of you already know this by now or might have figured it out, I am a law student, I am very much well aware what is and what isn't within my rights? Lol

I honestly didn't see this whole credit thingy as a big deal. It's not. Not to me. Lol. I repost people's photos without credit too all the time. Often, it's because I don't know who to credit and most time my lazy ass just forgets to. Lol. I think it's normal? It's inconsequential I mean.

The videos I use are usually often water marked by the appropriate owners so I don't go through the hustle of figuring this whole credit business out. If I should decide to come back here again I will check that habit of mine?

While this whole credit business is not a big deal to me, malicious slander and defamation to my character is and I don't take it lightly.

It has been brought to my attention that some Jikookers from Tumblr have since been sliding into people's DM's on other platforms asking them to take down my video and or remove the credit they give to my post.

They are telling people I am problematic, calling me the Taekook Lives of the Jikook community. That I have been spreading lies about Jikook, that the Jikook Tumblr community hates me or something like that and to further caricaturize me and make me appear more evil in order to get people to turn on me and hate me, they make up the most ridiculous lies about me claiming that I believe a notorious serial killer is innocent.

Now I have since deleted my YT account because I don't want my colleagues to find out I am into shipping too lol- shipping is a guilty pleasure of mine and I know how this fandom works unfortunately. I've been a silent part of it since 2014. I mean it's started already. The Doxing and shit.

This Kookie Min Monsta person slipped into someone's DMS and asked the person who had put up my video analysis to take it down or discredit me because to her I am problematic. She is not the only one.

You want so bad to paint me black- no pun intended just to win an argument? You claim I am the evil malicious person here but I am not the one sliding into people's dms trying to take credit away from people for their hardwork, spreading hate and negative energy, making things up to manipulate people's perception of others and get them to hate and turn on them- and all because of A SHIP? Damn. This is pathetic.

I made a video commentary on my Booktube YT account- yes I am part of the book YouTube community as well sue me or better still slip into their inboxes and tell them I voted for Trump therefore I hate chipmunks.

The commentary I made on YT months ago was when I was in the highs of finding a new passion and it was on Ann Rule's book, The Stranger Besides Me- a true crime novel on Ted Bundy which I found so poorly written that at the end of the book it left with me wondering whether or not Ted Bundy was guilty at all!

The Author's writing style which deviates from most writing styles of True Crime novels I have read gave me trust issues as I stated in the video. It felt more as if she was writing a made up fictional novel than an actual True Crime novel but because she knew Ted Bundy in person she made it seem as if we just had to believe her account.

Then there was this whole thing about the police not being able to match the DNA samples taken from his rape victims, to his own Semen because his Semen was DNAless- in lay man's terms. I'll spare you the technicalities involved.

As I stated in that video, I do believe Ted Bundy was guilty but I do not have much faith in the Judicial system, or criminal procedures or even the Author of that book- a sentiment most people within the true crime community share as well. We just had differing views on whether the writer's style took away from the narrative and waters down on the extent of Bundy's guilt.

We had a Similar conversation about Chris Watt. If the community I was engaging in didn't have a problem with my commentary why do you? Please don't meddle in things you know nothing about. It's embarrassing.

The conversation about whether or not Ted Bundy is innocent is moot but a philosophical one. It has nothing to do with Ted Bundy's guilt but more so the criminal procedures involved in his case and the different accounts that exists surrounding his case.

He was electrocuted, he confessed to his crimes no damn person with brains would think or assume he is innocent and I never said anything of that nature drew any conclusions to that effect.

Besides, I moved on from Ted Bundy a long time ago. Now I am into the Serial Killer who writes death poems and signs it off with drawings of the size of his dick at his crime scenes- mind your own business please or don't and let's have an intellectual discourse about him? Lmho.

I am also into cat memes if you care to know and have a whole IG dedicated to cat memes. I believe human beings are the most dumbest species in all the galaxies and when the Aliens arrive I am snitching.

When my mind is at rest, I often wonder if Aliens have masculinity complex and if they do whether or not their masculinity is contingent on the size of their dicks or whether they have to engage in a battle to the death with an alien grizzly bear to determine who is the man.

I love BTS memes too- a little too much and often end up debating over the internet with random people over whether BTS memes are funnier than cat memes- I'm weird, true. But how does all of that make me a bad person?

It's crazy how these people can go on these other platforms to ask people to take down the credits to my posts as well as my posts itself but can't ask people who run to these other platforms with misinterpretations of my work to take those down.

Instead they come on here to call me out for people's interpretations of my work?? It doesn't work that way. You are the author of your own opinion and interpretation of other people's work. You don't call out the original author for someone's opinion of their work. If that were so I would be emailing Stephanie Meyer for Anna Todd and her After series. Get some education.

I have since blocked this person and others whose Tumblr I have been able to find thanks to all those that's helped me finding them on here.

My gf also tried reaching out to the persons who shared my post after we realised this was becoming an issue and had asked them to credit her or my blog- but honestly I don't care about that yet she won't give it a rest. Lol. My ride or die this one. Sigh.

However, we realized soon that this is not about 'stealing' credit- can't call someone out for not giving credit when I suck at that myself. Lol.

This is about people's malicious intentions and their attempts to silence me and take away my right to freedom of expression however way that they can. This is wrong and evil.

I honestly don't care for all these ship politics these people are engaged in. I've had enough intelligent conversations to know the distinction between arguments that flows from bruised egos and actual conversations around a subject matter.

Todays character is WILBUR SOOT! Past read more is my entire analysis and just my general thoughts

Wilbur Soot, General Wilbur, President Wilbur, Exiled Wilbur, and Ghostbur. He’s a man of many shades, and honestly quite the interesting character.

he started the drug van, enroping his best man, RIGHT HAND MAN, tommyinnit and his son fundy! debatable but, this is where he starts out being a bad dad. 

throughout the entire section of the dream smp, hes the relatable depressed person who fights with words. thats a key part. he is starting l’manberg on THOSE standards. he is fighting tooth and nail, and they don’t win physically. like, ever. they win through words and deals.

erets betrayal happens, and in my opinion, this is an inch further into his mental health declining. this sets the idea in his head that he can’t trust anyone. it may not be a big idea, but this installs that fear into our good boy wilbur. 

im zooming past this arc because honestly. i wasn’t here for it, i don’t have the best memory for it. 

so, they gain independence. through many deals that only pushed into the disc war. wild, i know. 

he plans a rigged election for HIS country, because of course its his country how could he not win. one of the people, quackity, sees this and decides to run against him. he still is sure he is going to win, with tommy at his right hand side. he gets schlatt to endorse them, but he betrays them. this further goes into the idea that he can’t trust people. its not in the cards for him. 

in the end, he is pushed out of his own country that he fought so hard for. he watches as everything he built is partially stripped away, and evidently it’s his fault. or at least, he thinks it is.

he made the election. the election that brought down l’manberg, rebranded as manberg. 

they go into exile, and he loses it. we see first hand his decent into madness as he is overcome with his own emotions. its here we get those chilling lines. “lets be the bad guys.” “dream, i want to be your vassal.” and of course many others 

its key to point out that in this time, he is projecting a lot onto tommy and outsourcing a lot of his emotions onto tommy. he says things to tommy that are just concerning. 

i want to bring us back to the fight with words, not violence.  he is now EXCLUSIVELY fighting with violence. he got technoblade, the blood god. he is going to use tnt. he is a reflection of l’manberg in a sense. l’manberg lost its ideals, just as wilbur lost himself. he holds true to some of his old ideals but the core is snatched away. 

he goes to dream, the person who he was always up against [though, he just wanted to live in peace.] 

and he was never shy with his ideals. he portrayed his ideals on what be wanted to be what everyone wanted. thats where technoblade gets the understanble misconception from. technoblade only hears from wilbur what the plan is, and thats what he presumes everyone wants. thats why techno feels so betrayed.

the day comes, and he blows up l’manberg. even though they won, he knows l’manberg won’t be what it used to, and therefore they failed and it was never going to be meant to be. and there was some nudging from dream in this area too, we’re not gonna act like dream didn’t also egg this on. 

he goes to the button, which he built in a fit of his own declining mental health which is honestly just depressing. after he blows it up, he begs his own father to kill him. he knows what he’s done and he doesn’t want to be around to see it. what he thinks he wanted finished is finished. he is done. he didn’t want it anymore. he got l’manberg gone and in his mind there was no other pathway. there was no redemption, there was no rebuilding, it was done. and so he dies. 

ghostbur is born. ghostbur is not wilbur. he insists that so heavily. he is not wilbur, and wilbur is not ghostbur. my own personal theory is that ghostbur is a projection of everything wilbur wished he had in his life, secrerly. maybe his own regrets, the misconstrude happy parts of him. it was there to remind people that wilbur wasn’t finished, but wilbur was done. wilbur was at peace but there was still things left behind that he wanted people to see, and he just projected that out into ghostbur. thats why ghostbur isn’t wilbur, because he’s just something that was projected and once wilbur “came back” at the end of the disc saga, he went away too because wilburs unfinished symphony was tommy.  it was tommy, and it will always be tommy. thats a huge constant in his WHOLE plotline, is tommy

tommy is bringing him back. he projected onto tommy in pogtopia. tommy made him president second time around. he was his unfinished symphony, and i doubt their story will end.

NOW, DEAR READERS, thats the general history of his arc and stuff, to the best of my ability. im gonna go into my own thoughts/theories.

First off, wilbur was the best president of l’manberg and i will die on this hill. He held the ideals better than anyone else did and he wanted to be it more than anyone did it, not for his own selfish reasons but because he wanted to. no one else after him held up those ideals like how he did, because they had no many laws all the time. schlatt and tubbo BOTH went against what he wanted, in some form or another. it became more political than how he ever wanted to. it was where people could be free to do what they want, in the end. under schlatt, people were under constant control. under tubbos reign it was just a mess, no one wanted to be there and the few citizens it had were spooked off or didn’t really care. it wasn’t l’manberg, it was a version of l’manberg

secondly, i think that wilbur has 100% chance for being redeemed. of course, if this is all it will ever be then its all it will ever be and its a good story end. not all storys have to end with a happy ever after. his story ended tragically. if he comes back, imo, he just has room to grow. he might realize what he did wrong, or maybe he’ll be in a better mindset and he can just personally grow from where he is. mend what he can, and apologize where he can. he can grow and i believe he should get to do so. i hope he doesn’t just become an angst magnet, y’know? i don’t want it to just be him depressed 24/7, because it shows us that people can’t get better and they will just stay the same, if not worst. his mental health took a nose dive and i just want him to be able to slowly recover from that, realistically. 

i don’t have much to say at the moment any more, if i ever have more to say it’ll be in replies.

When Meetings Break You

So, my time having been appointed to a local board has been crappy.  I wanted to be cool and type ‘it has been a challenge’.  But, thats mincing words, my time involved in this board has been bad, negative, something I do not want to do, something I do not look forward to, something I feel useless as a part of, and something that is crappy.  It has been crisis after crisis, conflict after conflict, and resistance upon resistance.

AND I  LOVE WHAT THE BOARD IS THE BOARD OF.

Today though broke me.  Honestly, I came home, spent the afternoon sitting in my recliner, under a sheet with the TV off, and my dog laying on the floor wonder what the hell happened to me.

You see todays meeting has me absolutely shook.  Not a little shook, but really really shook.  Like I have no idea who I am shook.  My whole life is a lie shook.  I am a fraud shook.

You see, we have come to the end of a thing, and the end of this thing leads into the thing I am professionally very good at.  I am super good at it.  I think.  I might not be. I might be crazy.

But, I used to think I was good at it.  So I started down the path of trying to be helpful, to guide the group in a direction to get some where.  And honestly, the group was so incredibly resistant, and clearly not connecting to the words I was saying, eventually I just stopped talking because I was concerned (seriously), that was not speaking english, or I had a stroke and something happened.

I could have not seen more just resistance or disconnection from what I was saying.

And now I am wondering about everything.  Am I crazy?  Am I the guy in the room who is there because of some sense of history but in fact people are talking about him when he is not there like he is nuts?  Am I the crazy person in the room?

I mean, there are some signs that this might be true.  I have zero day to day in person friends.  I mean, the thing with that is I have to care for my mom, the family business, work, and all the rest.  And maybe I am socially awkward.  And COVID.  But, we were sliding this way BEFORE COVID.

So maybe it is not that people have had kids, careers, whatever.  Maybe it is that people think I am nuts, or an asshole, or something.  I mean it.  I am so flustered by this meeting today that I cannot trust anything about me anymore.  

I mean, if I was so wrong, and so far away from the ideas of the group, what else have I been this wrong about?  What else have I been this far off on, and people were just polite enough to let the crazy guy finish?

When you are at a meeting, somethings you think to yourself, “That person is out of there mind.” And you think that everyone shares that same opinion of that person.  But, here is the thing...what if I am that person?  What if I have lost my way this much.

3 Golden Rules.

On Ethical disappointments. 

I was raised to be tolerant. To consider the views and opinions of others, to keep and open mind. I was a social outsider (homeschooled due to racism in the local school.) I vowed I wouldn’t ever exclude people for being different to me or having different values. I was desperate to make and keep friends. More than anything.

I was 15 in the late 1990s. Lonely as hell. I decided that I would befriend absolutely anyone who would have me. Essentially anyone who wouldn’t beat me up on sight for being foreign.

I decided that I had 3 and only 3 dealbreakers in terms of friendship.

RULE 1. They couldn’t be cruel to animals.

RULE 2. They coudn’t sexually abuse children.

RULE 3 They couldn’t be a card carrying Nazi.

If anyone in my life did any of those things I couldn’t associate with them anymore. But barring that I would try to accept them as individuals. 

Thats a pretty low bar right? I mean how could anyone fail to meet those insanely low standards?

See back then I didn’t know that shades of grey existed. I knew in theory that we were all imperfect beings, but I didn’t know what that meant yet in reality.

So I began to make friends. With normal kids. Actually probably nicer than average kids because they were sweet and sensitive enough to accept me for who I was when no one else would.

So the first hurdle I came across was that some of these people I was friends with enjoyed hunting. They would say for meat. I get that. Better than factory farming right? less cruel, less wasteful.

“You shouldn’t eat meat unless you’re willing to kill it yourself” They’d say virtuously.  

But then I saw them in action. Delighting in the act of killing in a way that I knew wasn’t healthy. Laughing at the kid goat’s head bursting in a shower of gore or the way an animal screamed upon being shot. Killing more than they needed… That’s an impulse I don’t believe humans should engender in themselves.

But it was for food. Right? So I overlooked it and silenced the voice in my heart.

One day my best friend shot a stray cat with his bb gun just for the laugh. It didn’t kill the cat or anything but the animal yelped and ran away. I was so upset and shocked that I burst into tears and it all came pouring out. Was he training himself to become a sociopath? I asked him.

He apologised. He never did anything like it again. He was very kind to animals, especially cats, ever since and doesn’t hunt them anymore for any reason.

I forgave.

That’s the first time I remember compromising a core value. It was like a tooth being pulled from my 15 year old head. 

I don’t regret it.

We’re still best friends. 

The second hurdle that started to crack my young heart was the undeniable fact that in the early 2000s almost every guy I knew in his early 20s had a girlfriend between that ages of 12 and 15. NEVER OLDER. I can’t stress this enough. They would vomit in disgust at the thought of a crone of 18 or 19. They were also VERY vocal about their desire and right to have sex with children after a few drinks. By the time I was 20 I knew I had aged out of the 20s dating pool. I wasn’t attracted to older men. 

No matter. I’m asexual and prefer platonic relationships anyway.

To this day I’ve never had a romantic relationship with a man. Because once I realised that Rule 2 wasn’t one any of them could keep, the trust was broken.

It wasn’t only men either. My closest girlfriend was a 26 year old substitute teacher who fucked one of her 15 year old students on a drunk night out once…

So they both had fun and boys that age are up for anything right? I mean. He probably still boasts about it today…

Right?

Plus… She was all I had. Like the only one I had at the time. I was so scared of losing her.

I turned a blind eye and ear. I tolerated. I didn’t have to approve of their teenage girlfriends did I? After all there were so many of them that if I cut them out of my life I’d have no friends ever again. Because the whole of society looked like them…

Thats the truth.

People in my extended family have dated 17 or 18 year old girls and encouraged them to drop out of school to have their children. People I love have done that.

I once knew a handsome, intelligent and charming man. He was dating a family member for a few months. He often defended the right of adult men to date teens. “Girls mature more quickly than boys.” He’d argue. Everyone would agree. After all hadn’t my great grandmother been 12 years old when she met my great grandfather and married him on her 16th birthday (with parental permission)? He was in his 20s. Just a boy himself surely? “We all know what children boys in their 20s are right?” Said my Mother… Whom I love very much.

Excuses were made.

Years later I discovered the the handsome, intelligent and charming man had been raping a 6 year old the entire time we’d known him. He is still wanted by the police today.

My father tells that when he was a boy of 18 back in the 70s he had kicked an older German man, a respected family friend, out of his car because the man had asked him to pull over, he had something important to tell him. When he did so, the man said that the Holocaust was a myth. An exaggeration, a Zionist hoax.

My Father was dating my mother at the time. She’s Jewish. So is his uncle, a Holocaust survivor.

He yelled at the man not to talk shit and made him walk home.

I am not my father.

The first time a Holocaust denier (a respected local businessman) voiced their opinion to me I froze. Then laughed. Surely he must be kidding... I argued briefly before realising that he’d made up his mind.

My well meaning people said I’d made a mistake. It was my job, they said, to change his mind. To educate him. Otherwise how would he learn?

I didn’t speak to him again but I still nod at him in the street because he employs a few of my friends and I wouldn’t want to make things awkward for them.

And also I don’t want him to yell at me. 

I have worked with Holocaust survivors and have survivors in my immediate family and I still nod in the street at a Holocaust Denier because we are raised to be polite aren’t we? Let’s not make a scene. 

We’re mature adults.

My Leftist friends are in a secret facebook group... Strenuously defending China’s Uyghur genocide because Communism can do no wrong… And at the same time saying all the Israelis need to be killed for what they’ve done to the Palestinians. One suggests a biological weapon tailored to Jews.

My Centrist friends are suggesting we “Hang up democracy for a while” in order to combat global warming and welcome a global police state and stop “kicking off” about our rights all the time. “Maybe we need a jackboot up the arse” one of them says.

And the ones that aren’t on the Left?

My facebook feed these days is getting awfully full of Rothschild memes.

“We own every bank in the world and funded both sides of every war since Waterloo.” They say, next to a grinning caricature of Jacob de Rothschild. Reminiscent of a Nazi cartoon of a “Rat Jew.”

Even a hedge fund billionaire prick doesn’t deserve that, does he?

I don’t comment. What’s the point? They’ve watched all the youtube and don’t read history books on principal.

My Brother is getting into Qanon. So is my Sister in Law.

So I'm a 5'2 female and I'm cruvy (proud of my curves) long dark blonde hair and blue-grey eyes. I'm always there for my friends when they need help or advice. In social situations I get really really nervous and my voice gets quiet. I hate injustice and will always stand up for the people I care about. I would say I'm kind, nice and polite in front of strangers but very quiet. I get stressed easily and I am not a pleasant person when stressed. I get angry and pissed of real quick. I curse a lot... Like everyday but it gets worse when I'm stressed or annoyed 😅. But anyways I love music, I especially love to sing (I kinda sing every day 😂). I like to read, right now I a book about solved and unsolved crimes, besides that I like to watch Netflix. I prefer a quiet relaxing night watching Netflix or reading a book over to go to parties. I love to learn new languages at the moment I learn dutch in school. I really love history, true crime, horror, languages, cooking and psychology, and I love animals (I love to secretly feed the goats from my neighbors) . After school I want to either study History, law or psychology. I absolutely hate group projects but if I have to work in a group, I always take the lead and can get quite bossy. I had a rough childhood I don't trust men easily because of some things that happend and I'm scared of getting hurt once I fall in love. Oh and I'm pretty clumsy, I don't get hurt everyday but at least three times a week. 😂

What I look for in a partner or relationship is fun, loyalty, respect I want someone I can be on the same level with. Someone I can trust and trusts me, someone who could get along with my family, since they are important to me. It would be nice to be with someone I can have fun with but relax at the same time, that we can be together without having to talk without it being awkward (I hope you know what I mean😅) and I would love it of he could support me.
