i hate that i get penalized at work for doing too much work

#its technically a software error cause they want us to have so much money on the record #and the dollar amount correlates directly with the frames on my list that i need to make #so dollar goes down for every frame i put together #this incentivizes getting sales so you are trapped in the cycle of capitalism #generally speaking i think framing costs are high but in a semi-understandable way when youre doing it #materials are made for longevity and have coatings and shit to seal up your art for actual decades to protect it #it Should be a one time purchase when its done properly and theres lil maintenance stuff you can have done #but generally speaking it should last as long as you dont let the wood rot #i do maintenance on shit thats like 200 years old #take it apart clean the glass check the adhesive seal it back up with new paper #thats like $10 #doing a new frame is like $80-a billion dollars and usually its scaled on the size of the art #idk im bored rn i did all my tasks and now im waiting for the imposter to kill me

One of the funniest things about merlin fanfic is when they write magical fight scenes and its so fucking difficult to do because merlin doesn't fight in a normal way.

Like with other fandoms there's like a technique. Like there are spells to cast, techniques to use, difficulties and simple approaches. But merlin doesn't subscribe to any of that.

Like this is basically a god with the skill of a toddler.

He just tanks shit.

He doesn't even know that many spells. Like his opponents are doing all this magical techniques and hand-wavey stuff and he just... stands there. Like maybe he stumbles back sometimes, but most of the time he just takes it.

Like his opponents will be doing the magical equivalent of tornado kicks, flips, and somersaults and then he gets like a papercut. Then he lopsidedly punches with the worst form ever seen and his opponent gets flung back 200m.

He's the singular most annoying person to ever have to fight, cause you're out here pulling out your best moves, then he flicks you on the forehead and you die.

feels like some of you don't get that ea didn't decide to do this to bioware after or because veilguard failed. it failed because they had already decided, and had been making decisions accordingly for years.

they were set up to fail. barring divine intervention, there was no way veilguard was going to satisfy ea's demands. ea just needed the dev cycle to finish (and check that there was in fact no divine intervention) before tearing it down.

be mad, but understand the chain of events isn't "veilguard bad -> ea nukes bioware". it's the other way around.
