And the way he does such a hard emotional 180 when they have proof Cas is working with Crowley because he is so utterly betrayed. The fact that Sam is the one to extend the olive branch since Dean is so far gone because he fucking loves this guy and he pulls this!!

The end of the season plays out like Dean is the boyfriend who got cheated… and then when he thinks Cas DIES he’s fucking heartbroken because he was already on the road to forgiving him.
