I think it'd be fun to do some kind of Life Series AU where they're ALL enhanced individuals (superpowers) but are afraid of telling anyone due to stigma. Then the plot would be everyone slowly realizing other people have powers too until it clicks that everyone has them.

But that's not the fun part. The fun part is I think Joel's "superpower" is that when he looks at someone, they are unable to use their abilities. But he doesn't know that. So there's an unbelievable amount of hijinks around people trying to prove to him they have superpowers while he continues to say they're all deluded.

I want him to have completely lost his sense of self and i want him to question every emotion he has, if it's really his own and i want Nikolai to relate bc he also sees himself bound by human emotions :D

I swear I am So particular about characterization these days it makes it So Hard to read fic. Like why are you making Peter Parker a literal baby. Why is Tony Stark this flawless dad (I love him but cmon). I want nuance I want ruined relationships I want bitterness and resentment I want Peter to see Tony's flaws and throw them in his face so Tony Gets Better. I want them to argue and fight because Tony hurt Peter without meaning to and I want Peter to not forgive him but to appreciate that Tony can see where he went wrong and get better. I want Peter to fight against the idea that being a kid means he's incompetent. I want him to be mad that he was dragged into the Avengers' issues in civil war without any real information on what was happening. I want Peter to have a complicated relationship with the rest of the Avengers. And I want them to grow and move through these issues and have an Interesting Relationship and maybe not everything was okay and Peter doesn't Have to ignore it but That's Fine as long as everyone grows. I want their bond to get stronger because of these issues and hardships.

I hope Wyldfyre and Roby break up.

Not because I don't like them, I think they're super cute together and I hope we see more of them. But because I'm sick and tired of this thing shows do (particularly kid's shows) where two young teenagers start dating and then they just. Stay together forever. Oftentimes it's both of their first relationship, but they're expected to date eachother until adulthood and then get married have kids etc etc, the whole nine yards. It's boring.

Obviously this can happen in real life, hell my aunt and uncle met in kindergarten and always knew they'd end up together, and they've been married for 30 years with 4 adult children. And good for them! But they're very much the exception and not at all the rule.

One thing I really like about Lostshipping in particular is that it doesn't follow this rule. Geo isn't one of the Ninja, he's not a childhood friend of Cole's, he'd never even met Cole until the Merge, he's just some guy that Cole wound up meeting and caught feelings for, and that's so much more realistic! They're just adults who fell for eachother, and their relationship had plenty of time to grow and develop. I like that. I want more of that.

Back to Wyldfyre and Roby, I just really don't think their relationship would or should last very long. They're cute, yeah, but that doesn't make them a good idea in the long run. And to be honest neither of them strike me as people who care much about "the long run" anyway. I hope Wyldfyre gets a chance to date around a little, y'know? A bit like Kai in early seasons, except with more fleshed-out love interests who are actual characters instead of like. Screaming fangirls. Maybe they could even stop being cowards and make her bisexual. Idk. Just a thought.

Valkyrie, Omen & Skulduggery- Crows

Intelligent Problem-Solvers: Crows are highly intelligent and known for their problem-solving abilities and tool use. The two of them are the Sanctuary's best detectives for a reason. Valkyrie isn't looked down on as much because not only is she trained by The Skulduggery Pleasant (who's slightly more feared in this AU), but she's instinctually good at her job which garners her respect.

Social Birds: They are often seen in pairs or small groups and communicate using a wide range of vocalizations. This one is straightforward as well. Skulduggery had the Dead Men and before that, he had his siblings, most of whom were also Hooded Crows. Valkyrie has Tanith, China, Ghastly, Fletcher and Skulduggery.

Crows are known for their intelligence and problem-solving abilities. Social interactions stimulate cognitive development, allowing them to learn from peers.

This is where Omen comes up short. Being largely unpopular and on top of that being left behind by his family a lot, he's not as smart as he's expected to be and has some trouble with teamwork because he's used to 'flying solo' if you will.

Social isolation can lead to increased stress levels in crows, manifesting as aggressive behavior towards other birds or humans.

This has happened to all three of them.

Skulduggery was isolated and tortured and when he was Vile he was alone a lot. Then Val left and he isolated himself again.

Valkyrie isolated herself for five years.

Omen, as mentioned, grew up on his own most of the time.

The three of them start off phase 2 being mildly aggressive with each other and others due to their separate isolation incidents. They slowly get better at it.

Crows, like many intelligent animals, can experience depression when deprived of social interaction. This can result in lethargy and reduced interest in normal activities like foraging and grooming.

Grooming is something those with bird wings have to do and Valkyrie neglects her wings during her isolation, something that she improves throughout phase 2. Omen is very unenthused about everything, something he overcomes as he grows. Skulduggery does less detective work, enough to seem normal to those who don't know him, but he starts to grow bored of the work.

Vocalizations: They use a variety of calls for communication, including caws, clicks, and rattles.

Valkyrie and Skulduggery have their own language that they communicate with when alone, it comes naturally.

Crows have been observed to adopt orphaned fledglings, and this behavior is a testament to their social nature and intelligence.

Yeah, Valkyrie basically decides that Omen is joining them (under strict supervision). Yes. Yes, I'm making the Omen and Valkyrie bonding time in this AU, you can't stop me.

Vocal and Visual Cues: Crows use complex vocalizations and visual cues to recognize their own family members. However, they are also capable of accepting outsiders, especially if the fledgling exhibits behavior that indicates a need for care.

It fits!

Social isolation can lead to a decrease in vocal activity or changes in vocalization patterns. Isolated crows may lose out on learning new calls and signals used in social interactions.

Eventually, the duo grow used to Omen dropping in and Valkyrie starts teaching him their language after he confesses that he was never taught.

random question mostly for oc making, but what would it look like for two different species (bluple, elves, unicorns, etc.) to have children together? is it even *possible* for unicorns to have children with another species?

Hybridized humanoids of all sorts exist, littered throughout the world.

It's more common that you see full blooded people rather than mixed, especially for races that have particular lifestyles that aren't always understood well by other races, such as plant people, or races that are not genetically compatible with most others, such as normals. There are few places in Theia that have very diverse communities of people, so typically most towns or villages you pass through will be largely inhabited by just one or sometimes two prominent kinds of people.

Unicorns can definitely reproduce with other kinds of people, though their offspring typically lacks horns no matter how much they may take after their unicorn parent. There are very few true unicorns left in the world, and there are more half-unicorns than true. Some people out there have slivers of unicorn in them without even realising.

It's hard to say exactly what any hybrid offspring would look like, because genetics play a huge role in what's expressed. But maybe I'll draw some examples up in the near future just for fun :3.

Absolute!Joker being a rich businessman makes sense to contrast him with lower-class Absolute!Batman as it's kind of a switcheroo thing.

That being something I'd have been interested to see is a detective!Joker, something of Commissioner Gordon! Alternate, since these two are direclty opposed frenquently and have an arguably even more personal history that Joker and Batman.
