hi libby!! for the ask game - 🗣 and 😒 if you don't mind :P
mint hi!!!!!!!!!!!! <3 <3 <3 thank you for the ask!
🗣️ Quote you like: this is so hard because of course the moonlight speech is right there but it also feels like way too easy of an answer, you know? even if it probably is my favourite.
There are soooo many good quotes from different episodes (mostly hilarious, occasionally profound) and there are a solid handful of quotes that me and me and my family have adopted into our vernacular over the years (see: any variation of Rimmer's risk story) that are ingrained into me. Anyway, taking that into account. fuck it: "twist my nipple nuts and send me to alaska". iconic line.
😒 Least favourite episode/s: ooooooooooh 👀
my extremely luke warm take is that 'Krytie TV' mostly sucks for obvious reasons and is pretty universally considered one of the worst episodes, but if you cut out, like, 15 minutes or so in the middle of the episode it's actually funny. Still sucks though cause those 15 minutes DO exist but...I DO think it's a shame because series 8 was in desperate need of a couple more goofy silly contained episodes, and the concept of 'Kryten hosts a reality tv show' actually COULD have been so funny if it was done properly.
Anyway, Nanarchy, Siliconia and Meltdown are also all episodes I don't really enjoy. Also I'm really sorry to all those BTE enjoyers out there but I just...don't like it.
#I have many things I could say about bte and why it just doesn't work for me personally but I'll...abstain#I get WHY people (especially lister fans) really love it. and I love you guys for that#but it just doesn't work for me sorry#also actually not over just how many quotes my dad in particular has just?? adopted#my dad in a specific tone of voice: 'what a lovely story'#me for years: ...#me after rewatching me2 for the first time in a long time: HEY what do you MEAN he was quoting rimmer????#asks#ANYWAY! thank you for the ask!! <3

Do you think it's possible that the BBC took out anyone they thought would potentially come to Hangman's aid??? To like. Make it SEEM like no one cares about or loves him anymore??? I just cannot see Dark Order NOT coming out to help him 😭😭
Or maybe I'm just being delusional and Hangy really did fuck up one of the only good friendships he had 😔😔
no, i definitely think it was intentional that they did it. mox was NOT happy about the loss to hangman, which he proved in the promo after revolution. further proof is the promo he cut before one of the first 3 matches on a Road To, where he said part of the reason he always wins is because he doesn’t like to lose. i think that quote is important too in the context of the elite as a whole. you can’t forget that mox has lost to very few men in AEW, and four of them are Hangman, Kenny, Nick, and Matt.
then there’s also the fact that bryan communicated his love for his friends out loud, something the elite never does on television. sure, on BTE. but even on BTE you have them miscommunicating all to hell. it’s definitely a jab at how the elite can’t ever get on the same page, emotionally.
they hurt Stu, Mox killed Uno at one point, they hurt Alex and John, they (likely) injured the Bucks, and then they took out Hangman to get to Kenny.
Now, Hangman walks out here on his own when he says something akin to “there’s no professional wrestler left in that locker room—,” just like how mox at the end of november said “there’s nobody back there, nobody within 100 miles that has the balls to take me on.” naturally, hangman answered both these calls. because he’s a fucking idiot and i think they’ve figured him out completely. just like he told punk that he would protect the aew locker room from him, he’s constantly coming out when there are wild insults made at the expense of his locker room. he is constantly putting himself in danger without back up.
do y’all remember when brodie cut that promo on hangman? how he is constantly without back up? how he doesn’t ever realise that the odds are against him? you remember when brodie said the dark order would protect him? at a bar or in the ring? that they would never leave him alone?
the dark order has always done that. if they weren’t taken out beforehand. i wonder if they’ll ever call back to those words one day, because it was such a powerful promo at the time. and i haven’t forgotten about the bucks/dark order segment on BTE around All Out last year, where they all spoke and buried the hatchet. i’d like to see them come together for real to protect him.
but i am just worried about how many eggs are being juggled here that i’m worried they’ll drop the ball on a few of them. i hope it ends up making sense, because i THINK it Does, but there’s a few pieces missing still.
back to the question, though. I DO think that them targeting his situation with his friends is very telling of where this will go. if hangman has no friends, he’s fucked.

WHAT DOES EACH WIDGET DO IN BETA TEXT EDITOR?
i'm slowly, but surely, in the process of copying and pasting all of my old PSAs from my previous RPC Source Blog onto here. this post explains what each of the widgets do in BTE due to the vast differences between BTE and LTE. so with that being said, look no further than down below on what each thing does. i will throw everything under a READ MORE for simplicity's sake because it's gonna get long.
this is what the legend looks like when you highlight any / all of your text in BTE.
keeping it on Regular means that your text is ... well ... plain. normal. vanilla. whatever descriptive word you want to use. however! you can click on the arrow right beside it to have this pop up instead.

Thank you so much for this comprehensive list. As a Muslim I want to ensure my support only goes to those who support the wellbeing of our brothers and sisters who are suffering in Palestine.
I'd like to add Alessia Cara to the list of pro-Palestine celebrities. She shared a donation link on her Instagram story about a week ago, saying something along the lines of: although things are nuanced and people fear speaking up, please support Gaza/Palestine (this is from memory bte, not a direct quote of her caption AT ALL, if someone has a screenshot of her previous story that'd be a huge help)
Also, from the youtubers I support, illymation (@illymation) of the animation community has shown support for Palestine/Gaza and has condemned the genocide happening, repeatedly sharing posts on the matter and speaking up as a jew against Israel + encouraging others to as well without fearing being labelled as antisemitic.
celebrities supporting Israel + celebrities supporting Palestine
I found an absolutely massive 70-page list of all the people in Hollywood who've supported Israel (they signed the “Israel Must Defend Itself” pro-genocide IDF letter, showed support only for Israel, spread IDF propaganda, used “Palestinians are terrorists” language, etc) — but it included tons of people I've never heard of and, like, talent agents and lawyers and non-celebrities... so I went through it and got all the recognizable names + made them into a list (below the cut), because it's important to name exactly who's supporting Israel's genocide of Palestinians.
[EDIT: the doc got taken down, so I removed the link. I included every name I recognized on there in this post. Also, if you're on your dashboard, click on the timestamp below my username to view the most recent version of the post.]
Additionally, I searched for all the celebrities who've supported Palestine (not liking one post while sharing nothing, not saying something vague about both sides, but actually using language like "genocide" and "apartheid" while talking about what Israel is doing to Palestine), and that's below the cut too.
I compiled this not to ~cancel~ anyone (cancel culture does not exist for celebrities) or put anyone on a pedestal, but to document who with power and influence gleefully cheered on genocide, and who decided to speak out against it despite the heavily rumored gag order in the entertainment industry. You shouldn't look to celebrities for morals or politics, but whether we like it or not, these people have millions of followers — the pro-Israel list has more than two billion combined followers. What they say and do matters because of that scope. For better or (usually) for worse, celebrities influence public opinion.
If someone praises Israel's "right to defend itself" (by committing genocide against Palestinians), and they do so in front of 300 million people: that goes beyond just being complicit.

PRO-PALESTINE:
This includes people who've spoken out this week, as well as people who've spoken out in the past.
NOTE: Anyone who used to be pro-Palestine but are now spewing "well both sides are equally bad!!!! i don't understand anything about this very complex situation!!!" bullshit (like Hozier and Will Poulter) will be removed and added to the pro-Israel list.
(Palestinians first, then alphabetical by surname)
Bella Hadid — "This is not about spewing hate on one or the other. This is about Israeli colonization, ethnic cleansing, military occupation, and apartheid over the Palestinian people that has been going on for YEARS!" + she got blacklisted and lost brand deals for saying this and much more
Gigi Hadid — currently being targeted by Israel's official state social media pages for her support of Palestinian civilians
Simi, Haze, and Fai Khadra— on their shared account, they said: "You are watching genocide. 2 million innocent Palestinians in Gaza and 1 million of those are children under the age of 15, all for your "vengeance"…where's your humanity now? Gaza is being bombed to rubble as we post…" + much more about Israel's genocide of Palestinians and current attacks on Gaza
Riz Ahmed — said "If we are on the side of humanity we must urgently speak up to try and avert the loss of innocent life. This means calling for an end to the indiscriminate bombing of Gaza's civilians and vital infrastructure, the denial of food, water, and electricity, and the forced displacement of people from their homes. John Cusack — attended a pro-Palestine protest + said "We must free Palestine from a brutal occupation - people concerned for their loved ones, in a hell zone, stuck without food, water and power. Pull it and tell them why." + more about Israel's attacks on Gaza, Israel committing war crimes, etc
Lauren Jauregui (Fifth Harmony) — said "My heart is with the innocent lives lost to the perpetuation of the vile legacy of imperialism, colonization, apartheid and ignorance. Guz Khan (Our Fl*g Means Death) — said "What the enforcers of apartheid and their enablers have failed to realise is that the plight of the Palestinians is an issue that resonates with the PEOPLE. Matthew Kim (Big Matthew of KARD) — said "While Im able to celebrate another birthday, there are too many innocent people in Gaza losing that privilege." + more about Israel's attack on Gaza
Kim Namjoon (RM of BTS) — attended multiple art exhibitions by Palestinians in diaspora who made art specifically about the occupation, Israeli apartheid, and Free Palestine, and shared pictures of these exhibitions publicly + he owns a piece of art about Free Palestine and, in the past, has posted this art to IG ~coincidentally~ on days when the media just reported that Israel bombed civilians — NOTE: I would not normally include something like this, but I'm choosing to do so specifically because he's doing all this BEFORE serving his mandatory enlistment in the South Korean military, which is aggressively pro-Israel and known for violent bullying, being full of far-right incels, and abuse from superior officers (and harassment towards enlisted celebrities, who are isolated and cut off from all protection). Him risking his support being made known to the general public (especially since BTS fans are known for noticing stuff like this and blowing it up on social media) has much higher risks than the average Western celebrity.
Zara Larsson — support going back years + "We must call out a state upholding apartheid and KILLING civilians, funded by American dollars." + much more about Israel's attacks on Gaza
Dua Lipa — support going back years, frequently mentioning Free Palestine + "The ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people must come to an end. NO MORE!! This is a human rights issue!! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!"

Yoshitomo Nara (artist/sculptor) — shared firsthand accounts from victims in Gaza + criticized Biden's horrible response to all this
Normani — sharing firsthand accounts from Palestinian families in Gaza during Israel's current attack
Dylan O'Brien — shared a video of a young Palestinian girl talking about how Israel bombed her whole street, along with "10 years old. Heart wrenching. #FreePalestine"
Melissa O'Neil (Dark Matter) — sharing statements from anti-Zionist Jewish people condemning Israel's actions + more about Israel's attack on Gaza
Jenna Ortega (Wednesday, Scream) — was targeted by a far-right Israeli site for her repeated support of Palestine, the site attempted to blacklist her, and she continued supporting anyway
Florence Pugh — shared IG stories about Israel's genocide against Palestinians, including: "Bombing a hospital full of children & refugees is not a pathway towards peace. This is genocide." + sharing a lot of pro-Palestine stuff right now, including saying that Israel bombed the hospital
Izzy Roland (Dropout/Collegehumor) — shared "We cannot and will not say today's actions by Palestinian militants are unprovoked. Every day under Israel's system of apartheid is a provocation. The strangling siege of Gaza is a provocation. Settlers terrorizing entire Palestinian villages, soldiers raiding and demolishing Palestinian homes, murdering Palestinians in the streets, Israeli ministers calling for genocide and expulsion." + more about Israel's attacks on Gaza
Susan Sarandon — said “Being against the occupation of Palestine does not make one anti-Semitic.” + shared multiple posts about Israel's war crimes, including Israel's use of white phosphorus in Gaza
Sza — shared infographics about the occupation and Free Palestine, including ones that explained the entire history of Israel's invasion of Palestine since 1948 + spoke out about the violence in Sheikh Jarrah in 2021 + more Israel's attacks on Gaza
Emma Watson — shared a quote about showing solidarity with Palestinians from activist Sarah Ahmed, who was harassed by C*nary M*ssion, a site dedicated to doxxing anyone who speaks out against Israel’s government.
After Emma Watson made that post, she was targeted in the media by Israel, and in response, a group of celebrities released a joint statement in support of Watson and Palestinians, saying: “We recognize the underlying power imbalance between Israel, the occupying power, and the Palestinians, the people under a system of military occupation and apartheid" (excerpt of statement).
These celebrities included:

Examples of Israel's foreign propaganda machine hitting pro-Palestine influencers:
tiktoker @/thewizardliz (who has 4.8 million followers and is a beauty influencer originally from Chechnya) — made several pro-Palestine posts, but then deleted them all and said in a story: "Guys I didn't want to delete my posts. But I was just called and told that I'm playing with my life by speaking on these things and that I should delete, I shouldn't involve myself in politics, but I stand with what I said."
tiktoker @/carawatsca shares that she lost a brand deal for being pro-Palestine, and that this same brand attempted to bribe her to post pro-Israel content and delete everything pro-Palestine

Shailene Woodley
Ramy Youssef
(I took all the names I recognized — read full list here)
The letter said: "Half of Gaza's two million residents are children, and more than two thirds are refugees and their descendants being forced to flee their homes. […] As of this writing more than 6,000 bombs have been dropped on Gaza in the last 12 days — resulting in one child being killed every 15 minutes. Children and families in Gaza have practically run out of food, water, electricity, medicine and safe access to hospitals, following days of air strikes and cuts to all supply routes. […] The humanitarian situation has reached lethal lows, and yet all reports point to further attacks. Compassion — and international law — must prevail."
Celebrities who signed the open letter in the UK calling for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire, and condemning Israel:
Khalid Abdalla
Steve Coogan
Liam Cunningham
Charles Dance
Miriam Margolyes
Maxine Peake
Tilda Swinton
(over 2,000 more people — I took all the names I recognized; after it was released it became an open letter anyone can sign so it's now full of random people's names)
Their joint statement said: "Gaza is already a society of refugees and the children of refugees. Now, in their hundreds of thousands, bombarded from air, sea and land, Palestinians whose grandparents were forced out of their homes at the barrel of a gun are again being told to flee – or face collective punishment on an unimaginable scale. Dispossessed of rights, described by Israel’s minister of defense as “human animals”, they have become people to whom almost anything can be done. Our governments are not only tolerating war crimes but aiding and abetting them."
Celebrities who signed the Letter Against Apartheid in support of Free Palestine (in 2021):
Mahershala Ali
Brian Cox (Succession)
Bella Hadid
Rebecca Hall
Miriam Margoyles (Prof. Sprout in HP)
Yann Martel (author of Life of Pi)

Run the Jewels
Saeed Jones (author of How We Fight For Our Lives)
Stellan Skarsgård (Thor, Mamma Mia)
Ocean Vuong (poet)
(I took the names I recognized — read full list here)
This letter said: "We call for an immediate and unconditional cessation of Israeli violence against Palestinians. We call for an end to the support provided by global powers to Israel and its military; especially the United States, which now provides Israel $3.8 billion annually without condition. We ask all people of conscience to exercise their agency to help dismantle the apartheid regime of our time. We ask governments that are enabling this crime against humanity to apply sanctions, to mobilize levers of international accountability, and to cut trade, economic and cultural relations. We call on activists, and especially our peers in the arts, to exercise their agency within their institutions and localities to support the Palestinian struggle for decolonization to the best of their ability. Israeli apartheid is sustained by international complicity, it is our collective responsibility to redress this harm." and more

Please add more if you know of any, but NOT if it's something along the lines of them just liking a post or trying to say both sides are bad. Please also include what they said/shared — now is the time when speaking out is most important.
Feel free to add any pro-Israel people as well. I'm keeping an eye on the notes and will update it.
HOW TO HELP:
US and Canada residents: find a protest near you here
BOYCOTT THESE COMPANIES — THIS IS ALREADY WORKING AND AFFECTING THEIR STOCKS
contact your local representatives and tell them you will not vote for someone who approves of genocide
text CEASEFIRE to 51905
combat propaganda online, in person, or even by just having a conversation with one person — do not underestimate word of mouth. tell everyone you know how you feel about Palestine; don't just read about it and despair while doing nothing. being on the right side of history has never been popular or easy
support Palestinian art, cuisine, businesses, and culture

#HERUFAIA. indie / mutuals only / 18+ rp blog for enji todoroki from my hero academia. canon divergent. honored by shin ( she / they / 29 ). unaffiliated with fandom. strictly a BTE user.
A STUDY IN: redemption. honor. obsession. heroism. morals. pride. crimes. insecurities with oneself. covert narcissism. self-hatred.
TRIGGERING THEMES INCLUDE: war. death. abuse. religion. crimes. and many more. ALL TRIGGERS WILL BE TAGGED AS: TRIGGER TW
AFFILIATED WITH: n/a
LINKS: rules. dossier. verses. mains & exclusives. headcanons. permanent interactions call. memes. open starters. nsft sideblog.
general rules down below for mobile users.
enji todoroki & my hero academia belong to kohei horikoshi. i've made all of my icons, icon borders, and promos unless stated otherwise.
i'm pro-callout. but only if there's enough evidence to support said callout.
don't follow me if you're pro-nazi, racist, ableist, sexist, terf, and lgtb-phobic. i'd say i'm sorry but i'm not.
don't follow me if you interact with any of the following people: autumn, loke, and ziro. i'm a forgiving person but i will not interact with people who refuse to admit their mistakes, refuse to apologize, and refuse to atone for their mistakes. and i'd rather not deal with people who support their behavior.
please use BTE with me. i'm stuck using BTE so if you edit our threads with LTE then i probably won't respond back. sorry.
memes, asks, open starters, & dash commentaries are the best way to interact with me. i tend to get rather bored with doing starter calls and whatnot unless if we're super duper close.
i practice mains & exclusives. if we've interacted enough either ic or ooc and you'd like to be a main / exclusive or even affiliated with me then feel free to hmu!
minors dni. i'm well over 18+ years of age and don't want to interact with minors. especially considering the sheer amount of nsft stuff in my hero academia.
mun =/= muse. the fact that we still have to state this is problematic in and of itself. angeal and i are not the same person. simple as that.
don't take endeavor lightly. he has a short temper and isn't currently the number 1 pro hero for nothing.
proshippers dni. i'm 100% anti-proshipping. idc if fiction =/= reality this is still disgusting.
i don't practice reblog karma. feel free to reblog memes, musings, gifsets, fanart, and whatnot from me. all i ask is for you to not reblog my headcanons and memes
i'm strictly singleship. this is where it gets weird. yes, he's married to rei but i'm not going to get lovey dovey with every rei roleplayer out there. i'm also very selective with my ships with endeaver as a whole. but, at the end of the day, it all boils down to chemistry and me talking to you quite a bit ooc.
i tag all triggers accordingly. they'll all be tagged as TRIGGER TW. and please tag anything with SUICIDE IDEALIZATION. i have to mentally prep myself to read anything pertaining to such without having an emotional meltdown.
i will have several verses to choose from. because this blog is currently a work in progress i don't have any active verses up and running at the moment. but needless to say that i am willing to roleplay during any arc from my hero academia. i'm also willing to roleplay prior to the series as well.
i'll update these when deemed necessary. but don't fret because i'll always let y'all know when i update my rules. :)

A Golden Lovers Timeline
PART 21: THIS IS WHAT LOVE LOOKS LIKE
It’s Wrestlemania weekend in New Orleans! (April 2018)
So let’s take a quick second to talk about our buddy hangman and his feelings. he’s not a huge part of this story, but he still managed to spear me in the heart anyway
(the hangman feelings part of this is essentially going to be taken from a post i made back in 2018, that became a twitter thread that Hangman retweeted and responded to, and generally seemed to like)
[ID: picture of Hangman quote tweeting my thread. His tweet says “The contents of this thread are misguided and definitely not a real view into my inner psyche. Not at all.” End ID]
Hangman gives a post-match promo after his Sakura Genesis match and I love it so much because it’s just so wonderfully, demonstrably false, right?
[ID: gif of Hangman yelling: “WHAT HAVE I DONE TO KENNY? NOT A DAMN THING!” End ID]
I mean, Hangman was pretty instrumental in helping Cody turn on Kenny. He held Kenny’s hands behind his back so Cody could hit him with a chair. He held Kenny’s face so he couldn’t even look away.
[ID: gif of Hangman holding Kenny while Cody stands before them with a steel chair from the GLs reunion night. End ID]
but his claim that he’s never done anything to Kenny is different from Cody’s delusional certainty that he’s The Hero Of This Story, because I think Hangman knows he’s lying
I think he’s been telling himself this lie over and over, hoping it’ll be true if he just says it enough times
Because here’s the thing about Hangman. The Bullet Club is his family.
[ID: gif of an ROH promo. Hangman is looking very earnest and saying “I have searched my whole life for a home and I found one in Bullet Club.” End ID. LINK]
Remember that time he got kidnapped by WWE and tortured? What was the first thing he did when he escaped? He went to his friends. His family.
[ID: picture of hangman’s tweet from Sept 24, 2017. It’s a picture of Hangman, Cody, Brandi, the bucks and their family. The caption says “What a beautiful family dinner tonight. Just what I needed after the WWE kidnapped and brutally tortured me for three weeks.” End ID]
When Kenny stopped him from having his moment at New Beginning in Sapporo it probably felt like a betrayal
[ID: gif of Kenny pulling the belt out of Hangman’s hands and then pushing him out of the way. End ID]
because Kenny, as his family, was supposed to have his back. And it seemed like Kenny was putting his own ego ahead of Page’s career.
That night everything happened so fast. Cody was yelling at him and Kenny was reaching for him, and it’s not like Hangman knows Kenny that well to begin with, they’re usually in different countries.
[ID: gif from the GL reunion night. Cody is yelling and Kenny and Hangman, Kenny is on the ground reaching for Hangman. Hangman looks between them, shirtless and unsure. End ID]
And Kenny had just kind of betrayed him. So he makes a choice.
There’s been a lot of focus in this story on how much the inter-faction tension is upsetting to Kenny and the bucks, and even Cody goes out of his way to lie about it bothering him
but Hangman has never really said much about it. He’s been pretty firmly on Cody’s side and that’s seemingly been all there is to it.
Except that we know from the BTE ep after Sapporo that it’s not, right?
Look at him, he’s so sad
and you can see him take that feeling and shove it down.
[ID: three gifs of Hangman in the shower facing the camera. He’s crying in the first, then in the second he breathes out and gets his crying under control. in the third he looks grim and sad and goes “yep” to himself. End ID. LINK]
That little “Yep” always kills me. He made his choice and he doesn’t believe he can turn back now.
Because if he ever admits to himself that Cody is in the wrong, he has to lose Cody too, and he’s already burnt the bridge with Kenny.
And maybe worst of all, he would have to admit that he helped break this family apart. So instead he leans in.
And he takes all that guilt and anger, and he focuses it on Kota Ibushi
[ID: gif of Hangman from an ROH promo. He looks angry and says: “Kota Ibushi you have become a home wrecker!” End ID. LINK]
but before Supercard of Honor, Kenny and Kota have another Wrestlemania Weekend appointment
[ID: promotional picture of the lovers and Trent and Chuck with the words “LOVERS VS FRIENDS” written on it. End ID]
they’re set to face Trent and Chuckie T of the Best Friends at WrestleCon! (April 5th, 2018)
(this match was originally available on the Highspots network, but I don’t see the 2018 show there now. i’m not sure if there’s any way to watch it legally anymore but thank god some kind soul has put the whole show on bilibili [LINK - 2:27:00])
unfortunately things don’t go quite as planned...
[ID: picture of Chuck speaking to the crowd before the match. He says “My partner tonight was supposed to be my best friend in the world, Mr. Trent Baretta. But unfortunately, some asshole hurt him real bad.” End ID.]
(the asshole in question was Chuck himself)
they do this whole bit where Chuckie tries to call out different people to be his replacement partner (it’s very funny and worth watching) including trying to harangue poor injured Trent into fighting anyway (blocked by Trent’s other tag partner Rocky Romero’s intervention)
Chuckie eventually tricks Flip Gordon into being his partner and they all have a great match
after the lovers win Kenny gets the mic and tells Flip (and us) this:
[ID: three gifs of Kenny says: “[referring to Chuck and Trent] This is what friendship looks like. And this is what love looks like.” Kenny puts his arm around Kota when he says the bit about love and Kota just beams. End ID]
the cheer they get :((((((((((( kota’s big smile :(((((((
(you can also look at Mith’s HD gifs of the moment here, and a recording of just the speech on tumblr here)
the next day Kota has a 6-man match at a Rev-Pro show (April 6th, 2018) that Kenny isn’t apart of (and i’ve never watched!)
Supercard of Honor - April 7, 2018
(btw the ROH commentators got criticized for being very “friendship” focused during Supercard of Honor (and then saying that calling the lovers “friends who love each other” wasn’t “labeling” them), and Ian at least listened and had convos with queer fans online and ended up making changes to how he spoke about them going forward, calling the lovers a “romantic relationship” during Cody’s May matches)
The hangman vs kota match happens first and is very fun [Official Youtube LINK; Unofficial LINK - starts at 00:31:00]
they’re both incredible athletes, and kota is so popular that hangman actually manages to get booed at an ROH show
You can see hangman’s personal animosity towards kota throughout the match, the way that they’re very similar wrestlers in some ways (a fact that is more interesting in hindsight given Kenny and Hangman’s tag team run in AEW), but ultimately Kota outclasses Page. It meshes well with Page’s 2018 stories in general, this is a man who is on the cusp of becoming one of the best wrestlers in the world, a main-eventer, but he’s not quite there yet
(there is no balcony flipping, but only bc they were forbidden from doing so)
and then it’s the main event! Kenny Omega vs Cody Rhodes [Unofficial LINK; BTE also has the end of the match filmed from ringside, which I highly recommend LINK]
Cody and Brandi come to the ring wearing gold from head to toe and Cody calls them the “Golden Lovers” :/
he’s accompanied to the ring by Bernard the Business Bear and the fucking cops, just in case it wasn’t clear who’s the bad guy here
the main action happens at the end. The ref gets knocked out and the young bucks come down to the ring
[ID: picture of the bucks with their foreheads pressed together, standing between Cody and Kenny’s prone forms. End ID]
they’re going to make a choice. for themselves, for bullet club. this is it, the moment where they pick a side and stick to it.
but they hesitate.
[ID: gif of the bucks standing in the ring, they look between Kenny and Cody. Matt points at Cody and then looks at the audience anxiously in response to their cheer. End ID]
even tho they’ve talked about this. even tho they know who Cody really is now, Matt is still wearing Cody’s belt around his waist. it’s still hard for him to attack his friend, the friend that Kevin Owens asked them to look out for. he keeps looking to the audience to get confirmation that this time he’s making the right choice
and they make their choice.
and they miss.
[ID: gif of the bucks going to superkick Cody but at the last moment Cody falls out of the way and they kick Kenny instead. End ID]
and Cody wins with the young bucks screaming and begging for Kenny to kickout
[ID: gif of Cody pinning Kenny while the ref counts, the bucks are in the background screaming “KICKOUT KENNY!!! KICKOUT!!!” and when the 3 count gets called you can see the horror of it hit them. End ID]
[ID: gif of Cody pressing a kiss to Kenny’s hand following the pin. Kenny is covered in Cody’s victory streamers and the bucks are in the background looking horrified. End ID]
after Cody leaves the ring the bucks go to Kenny
[ID: picture of Kenny still pretty prone on the mat, with Matt touching his shoulder as both bucks huddle over him. End ID]
and Kenny sobs into the mat
for the third time we see the Sapporo Reunion beats played out before our eyes
[ID: four gifs. in the first one Kenny pulls himself towards the ropes while Matt extends his hand, in the second we see the same moment from the reunion with Kota extending his hand to Kenny. In the 3rd Kenny is holding the ropes prepared to leave and Matt grabs his shoulder and turns him around. in the last one we see the same moment but this time Kota is the one who turns Kenny around. End ID]
but Kenny rejects them.
[ID: gif of Matt holding his arms open to Kenny, and Kenny pushing him away. End ID]
afterwards the bucks are left alone in the ring as the crowd rains abuse (and some encouragement) down on them
[ID: three gifs of the bucks in the ring and then leaving it and walking away. In the first the audience is chanting “YOU FUCKED UP! YOU FUCKED UP!” in the next they’re booing. in the last two different audience members say “He was your friend!” “You did the right thing!” The bucks look completely crushed. End ID]
we know it was an accident, but right then, in that moment, the crowd feels all the same anger and betrayal that Kenny does. i was there that night and it felt like the bucks stole the victory from us as much as Kenny. All match Cody was treating the audience like another character in the plot, picking fights with individuals and the crowd as a whole, making us hate him, openly hating us. we wanted to see him lose so badly. instead we had to watch Kenny cry.
the bucks immediately go to Kenny’s dressing room and apologize
[ID: picture of Matt and Nick talking to a seated, defeated looking Kenny while Kota looks on from beside Kenny. Matt: “We went out there to fix the problem! We’re Team Kenny! I swear to God, it was an accident!” Nick: “We chose you!” End ID]
and it’s just heartbreaking. they’re so earnest, they finally understand that Cody is a manipulative snake, and Matt has finally forgiven Kenny. but now Kenny is the one who’s hurting and isn’t ready to forgive.
[ID: two gifs, in the first Kenny says “It was never about teams, Matt! It was never about teams with you and I! We’re supposed to be best friends since the beginning.” Matt: “I know I know-” and Kenny goes: “Why did it even become a thing where we’re standing in the ring. “Oh I don’t know if I’m going to kick Kenny in the face. I don’t know if I’m going to kick Cody.”” We see the room flash to matt and nick standing in the ring looking uncertain. End ID]
he doesn’t care that they kicked him in the face. he cares that they hesitated.
That’s the betrayal to him. Not the fact that the Bucks accidentally helped Cody win. it’s that it was even a choice at all.
[ID: gif of Kenny demanding: “Would you turn on your wife? Would you turn on your kids? Would *I* turn on you?!” and Matt is distressed and goes “No, no of course not! We’re best friends, man! We’re the elite.” End ID]
you can see it in his questions that despite the conflict within the elite lately, Kenny always thought that this was one line they would never cross. the bucks might leave him to the wolves, but they would never turn on him. he had thought that their bond went beyond the possibility of betrayal
and i don’t think there was ever a version of this night where the bucks could have turned on Kenny either, not really. the hesitation was never really about deciding who to kick, it was just a moment of confused mercy where they didn’t want to do that to Cody, but they knew that they had to.
but sitting here with his body and pride hurting, nursing an unearned loss, facing the shadow of a betrayal that he never thought possible... Kenny can’t let it go. not tonight.
[ID: gif of Kenny saying: “There are no sides, and guess what? There is no Elite.” End ID]
[ID: three gifs. Kenny says: “Just like the beginning, with all your Meet & Greets, your t-shirts,” and Matt goes “no, no-” Kenny continues: “your website. It’s just all about the Young Bucks. It always was.” Matt yells at him: “It was about changing the world, Kenny!” End ID]
it just breaks my heart!!!!! it’s so cruel the way Kenny throws the bucks’ money-mindedness in their faces, because they always, ALWAYS did everything to include Kenny in those things! they got him his pro wrestling tees store, they made him get a twitter account, they wore his shirts to shows he wasn’t even on, promoted his stuff when he forgot to, they named their youtube channel Being the ELITE because it was for the THREE of them
money has always been a way they take care of family, and that always meant Kenny too.
and even tho Kenny has been the one saying “change the world”, watching this moment you can feel that it was Matt’s dream too, that doing that with Kenny, being a part of that, it meant something to him
Kenny is taking all these precious things and just throwing them in Matt’s face like they aren’t proofs of Matt’s love for him
and in the face of Kenny denying their very friendship, Matt becomes desperate. he reaches for Kenny
and that’s when Kota decides it’s time to shut this thing down.
[ID: gif of Matt reaching for Kenny’s arm, Kenny physically rebuffs him and Kota immediately gets up and pulls Matt away. He gets between Matt and Kenny and he yells and points towards the door. End ID]
you can already see a change in how Matt is treating Kota, the lack of animosity, the way the accepts that Kota has a right to kick him out of this room.
He’s worked through a lot of his own issues, he’s ready to reconcile
now it’s on Kenny to meet him half way

"Her and Ravi are on the same level in terms of character importance tbh"
maybe for you but she definitely isn't for the fans that's why they ask why she's there bc she's not hen friend like ravi is? they're definitely NOT the same please
and AK also kept releasing several interviews talking about the flirting and teasing bte her and buck implying there was gonna be something? she only changed that after 5x11 aired and the backlash her character received
I wasn't talking about in terms of the fans though. I'm talking about in terms of their roles on the show. They're both significant but more background characters of the 118. We know some personal stuff about them, but mostly see them on calls/in the firehouse. If we see them outside of calls, it's at a 118 gathering. Any storylines they personally have are wrapped into a call, not their lives outside of work.
We don't know what Hen's friendship with Lucy is. We don't see everything that happens. But they seem to get along and have probably talked quite a bit off screen (because we don't see that much on screen). It's not hard to assume they're friends and it's not absurd to assume it either. Do Ravi and Hen have an onscreen friendship that we've seen though? Yes. Did I compare the friendships? No.
And people need to stop taking what people say in interviews at face value. I mentioned quotes from them only because that's all people are talking about. They wanna point out everything else besides the stuff that implies oh she's just there as a firefighter or that implies she's not a love interest. But interviews are used to hyped up the show. They overexaggrate among other things to catch interest. Arielle mentions the flirting (I feel like she treated it more like banter than flirting but I don't wanna hunt down the articles again) in later interviews, but they definitely treated it as this could be friendly but who knows (because she literally didn't know what the future held for them).
When all you're getting asked about is stuff that you can't give too much about and/or you don't have much to say on it, sometimes you throw stuff out there and it makes it sound bigger than it is.
I've said it before Tim had no fucking clue what he was doing with season 5 when he did that article after 4x14 about not addressing Eddie's trauma. So he just talked. And that was a bad move. But it's not a shocking thing. He had to give something.
Don't take interviews at face value. But if you're gonna listen to them, look at all the facts.
#anyways#yeah im sorry if any of these replies im giving on these asks seem harsh#but yeah#fandom discourse#nova answers#anon

14, a fic you weren’t expecting to write this year?
Oooh. Okay so this is a good one! There were a handful I wrote that came in as requests where I wasn’t sure I really had the voice for them but wound up proud of them. One was my fic for Stu Grayson which was strictly fluff BTE level crack and one was my smutty Malakai fic.
But I think the one I REALLY wasn’t expecting to write and love was my Shawn Spears story. It turned out really long and I had always made Shawn the butt of a lot of Pinnacle incorrectaew quotes. I liked him fine but didn’t love him. But in writing the fic, I did a lot of research — promos, interviews, his gaming streams. And I really fell in love with writing him in the process and would like to do it again. I didn’t expect that.
Funnily enough all three of these requests were from @dancingwithsilhouettes who I think makes it her mission to get me to write myself into love with new wrestlers.

Devin trained in the NJPW Dojo as the only female young lion, and she was worked there and the indies between 2014 to 2017. Afterwards she joined fellow friend Adam Cole in NXT as the female member of Undisputed Era. Because of her streak, she doesn’t like holding championships because at some she’ll have to drop it. So she mainly feuded with people instead of being a champion like the other UE members. I like to think that she had a 5 star match with Io and Dakota Kai.
After creative issues she asked for her release in 2021, and took a break from wrestling to recoup. She made her official comeback at Wrestle Kingdom 2022 with a match with Kenta on Night One and Hiromu on Night Two. Now she’s just chilling behind the scenes of AEW and keeps popping up in BTE.
I like to think some time in the future she’ll be in a feud with her mentor, CM Punk. I have this quote that I think she would say in a promo but I don’t know if it’s actually cool or is lame 😭
Wow, I literally had goosebumps reading this. This girl would be the biggest badass and coolest person EVER. Is she going to be part of The Elite in AEW at some point? Also, the feud against CM Punk could be very interesting. I would love seeing her against Serena Deeb, by the way; that’s a 5 stars match, without a doubt.
Tell me the quote! I’m sure is freaking great.

hi! this might be a bit of a weird question but I'm opening an Instagram account for incorrect quotes mainly focused on wrestling and marvel and I thought I'd ask you if its okay that I take inspiration from your posts? I'm not entirely sure if you come up with every single quote you post but I thought I'd ask anyway. of course I'd give credit in the caption, tho! thank you!
Hi! Thanks for reaching out! A lot of incorrect quotes that I post here are inspired by memes and media (ie, Parks and Rec, the Good Place, Community, movies etc) and there are iterations of them across a lot of blogs for incorrect quote blogs in fandoms. What I do is I make sure the character archetypes fit the way I’m casting the AEW roster.
There are quotes I write myself, though like the reaction quotes I post live during shows. Or I’ll take some of the common formats and expand on them to incorporate some canon from the shows, BTE, or vlogs — to hopefully differentiate this blog from some of the others out there. I also try to keep some running gags going as if there’s continuity for this blog (ie Santana’s fork, Tony’s inability to hold a successful meeting with the EVPs, Eddie fighting raccoons, Shawn being the Inner Circle’s himbo).
That being said, if you grab screenshots from here for instagram, that’s totally cool and credit would be appreciated. If you’re asking something else, please feel free to ping me in my messages.

New Post has been published on https://otakudome.com/aew-rampage-was-a-rare-pro-wrestling-surprise/
AEW Rampage Was a Rare Pro Wrestling Surprise
AEW made it’s formal conception on January 1, 2019 and has since been making a number of accomplishments since. Including sold out shows, record merch sales, signing major stars, and breaking one million viewers semi-regularly just to name a few. As we come to closing out the year AEW is looking to continue the highs they’ve been receiving in 2021 with the debut of their second televised program AEW Rampage. An hour series that will act as an equal to it’s sister program AEW Dynamite. And with the show they put on for night one that promise has so far already been kept.
AEW Rampage is a 2021 pro wrestling series produced by AEW & WarnerMedia. It currently airs Fridays at 9:00 AM Central on TNT.
Editor’s Note: Spoilers for the debut episode of AEW Rampage and potential spoilers for the second episode may be present within this review.
AEW Rampage opened with an amazing match and a shock finish.
Kenny Omega (c) vs Christian Cage for the Impact World Championship:
In the opening (and first ever) contest of AEW Rampage, AEW featured a historic moment in which the Impact World Championship was defended for the very first time on another national wrestling promotion’s television program. AEW, Impact, and AAA World Champion Kenny Omega defended against challenger Christian Cage in a bit of a preview to their upcoming All Out main event match for the AEW World Championship. First just wanted to point out that the Pittsburg crowd was HOT for this show from start to finish. It really goes to show that if you give your audience a bit of respect they often respond in kind. Which is a polar opposite to a lot of WWE crowds who often attack the shows with obnoxious chants such as “What!?” & “CM PUNK!”. But WWE often shows little respect to their audience so it can be a bit forgiven.
Omega and Cage are both rather high level in-ring performers, especially the latter at age 47. AEW typically has their best matches open and close their shows and this philosophy continued on the debut of Rampage. Most of the offense surprisingly came from Christian who was really showing out against Omega who was mainly selling everything. At one point in the match Christian hit Omega with a Spear and had a cool near fall. Finish saw the Young Bucks coming out while Don distracted a ref and they handed Kenny a chair. As Omega was preparing for the One-Winged Angel, Christian turned the tides with a Killswitch on the very chair Omega had prepared for a three count. Omega sold the Killswitch like he was shot and Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus join Cage for the post-match celebration.
Winner AND NEW Impact World Champion Christian Cage: **** 1/2 stars
Beloved jobber Fuego del Sol gained a life changing victory in defeat.
Following the commercial break with get Mark Henry interviewing Cage with Jungle Boy & Luchasaurus having A Little Bit of the Bubbly. Cage said Kenny caused him to bring everything he had and felt he wasn’t going to win. He then states that if he gave him so much trouble for the Impact title it’ll be next to impossible for him to win the AEW title, but the victory has Cage in Omega’s head. Next match is God’s Favorite Champion Miro taking on everybody’s favorite jobber Fuego del Sol for the TNT Championship. If Sol wins he’ll be signed to an AEW contract.
Fuego del Sol vs Miro (c) for the TNT Championship:
If you’re even remotely apart of AEW’s social media circles you’ve probably heard of the rise of Fuego del Sol fka Kage. Sol began wrestling in a trampoline fed on Youtube prior to pursing his dreams on the independent circuit. Fuego; real life best friend of rising AEW star Sammy Guevara found his way to the promotion through recommendation working AEW Dark during their stay at Daily’s Place during the pandemic. Fuego also had a starring role in Guevara’s vlog entitled “Sammy’s Vlog” in which he films & documents his & his friends & co-workers’ real lives and careers as a professional wrestlers. Fuego became a fan-favorite due to his likable personality and optimism. AEW took notice of Fuego’s skyrocketing popularity and often had him featured on Dark and occasionally on flagship series Dynamite. The running gag of Sammy’s Vlog was Fuego’s real-life quest for a contract despite his losing streak and the fact that he also worked at Burger King to support his family while on PPA (pay per appearances) bookings with AEW.
Sammy stated many times that the goal of his vlog was to help his friends and guests to establish a gimmick, place to explore personality, and an opportunity to reach an audience basically to help wrestlers get over. And it’s kind of poetic that Fuego is one of the first to truly accomplish those goals. Fuego is now a hit on social media with many of his tweets gaining five digit numbers in likes something that’s rather unheard of from someone who’s had no real presence in the WWE. Now that we’ve gotten to the background of Fuego and the importance of this storyline (apologies for being so long winded about it) we can move on to the match itself.
This was more or less a squash match, but the point was to get Fuego over in front of a big crowd. As the match began Fuego showed his bravery by hitting Miro with a variation of the Tornado DDT his finishing move of which he is the master. Fuego goes for a pin but only got a one count, he follows up with a second Tornado DDT as the crowd goes ballistic in cheers and Miro wisely rolls out of the ring. Commentary reminds people at home that if Fuego wins via count out he may not win the title but he will in fact still win the AEW contract. Miro unfortunately gets back into the ring at nine only to be hit with THIRD Tornado DDT at this stage the crowd is all over Fuego. He goes for a pin, but gets a very close near fall. As Miro recovers he nails Fuego with the Bulgarian Drop & Thrust Kick followed by the Game Over submission for the win.
Winner and still AEW TNT Champion Miro: *** stars
AEW Women’s World Champion returned to Brittsburg in the main event.
Miro celebrates and rips the contract as we head to commercial. Returning from the break Fuego recovers from his heartbreaking loss as the Pittsburg crowd gives him a standing ovation for his efforts. Commentary is selling the idea that this is Fuego’s final official appearance in AEW as they’re back on a touring schedule. Suddenly, Sammy Guevara’s music hits and he appears (briefly) with Tony Khan who hands him a mic and clipboard. Sammy tells Fuego that despite losing he may have still won. Reminding him of his disappointing win-loss record, he tells him it doesn’t matter as the fans and the wrestlers in the back all love him. Realizing what’s about to go down Fuego starts ugly crying as Sammy tells Fuego that Tony Khan wanted himself as his best friend to inform him that as of tonight he is officially All Elite and the crowd goes nuts. In an interview with Sports Illustrated Tony Khan stated that this was 100% shoot and that only Sammy knew Fuego was getting signed regardless of his loss. If you’ve followed Fuego’s journey from the beginning or middle where he made his AEW it really shows that anyone can get themselves over if they work hard enough and have the right platform. Contrastingly, in WWE if you get over without being their chosen guy or gal you’re punished for it being viewed as “having gone into business for yourself”. A testament to this is the infamous rise of Matt Cardona fka Zach Ryder who rose to fame with his “Z! True Long Island Story” Youtube series and had a fundamental role in teaching pro wrestlers to use the internet and social media to work for themselves to get over and would go on to inspire shows such as BTE (Being the Elite) & Sammy’s Vlog.
Cardona would regularly embarrassed and buried on WWE TV after a pity run with the WWE United States Championship rarely finding success beyond point for the remainder of his run in the promotion. Reports stated that morale among talent hit a record low, Cardona’s best friend Impact Wrestling star Brian Myers was also quoted as saying WWE “would hold “brass ring” pep talks every WrestleMania that suddenly stopped once Cardona got over”. So in short, unless you’re their flavor of the week/month/year WWE won’t take it kindly if you work hard and gain a following without their say. Whereas AEW (and virtually every other promotion ever) will do the compete opposite and show support, but enough of the rant it’s time for the main event.
Red Velvet vs Dr. Britt Baker D.M.D for the AEW Women’s World Championship:
Fuego wasn’t the only new signee of the night.
As the match starts Velvet is understandingly thrown off by the boos. More confusingly Velvet is working as a babyface for much of the match, rectifies this when she begins working Britt’s wrist. Obviously, Britt is the heel, but for the sake if the circumstances I’m glad Velvet played into being the baddie for the night. Also can I just say how crazy it’s been seeing Red Velvet grow as an in ring performer? I’ve seen her since her debut on Dark and basically followed through since her debut on Dynamite with Cody against Jade Cargill and Shaq. She’s still fairly fresh and young as a worker, but has really shown off her potential especially here. Lots of back and forth offense from Britt and Red. The finish saw Britt attempting the Lockjaw with the hurt wrist, but once Velvet escapes she brilliantly reverses it with her opposite arm for the submission.
Winner and still AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker: **** stars
While Britt celebrates she beats down Velvet who comes back only to be beat down again by the returning Jamie Hayter with a new look. Hayter had a bit run on AEW Dark & NXT UK prior to her return as a full-time AEW talent. Britt had been hinting that she was opening up a bodyguard position and Hayter will fit that role moving forward. AEW Rampage’s debut was an extremely strong show with fantastic matches and excellent storytelling. This Friday is surprisingly going to be even more important, as unless you’ve been living under a rock “The First Dance” in the United Center will be the host of the long-awaited return of CM Punk to pro wrestling and not as an analyst as an in-ring talent. AEW and Punk himself are barely trying to throw fans off of what is undoubtedly going to be a legendary moment for them in their short time alive. 2021 has been very good to AEW and pro wrestling as a whole and it’s not slowing down anytime soon. AEW gives AEW Rampage’s debut episode an 80 out of 100.
