longing
my dear,
my heart hurts. it aches. it's like there is an open wound within me. within my soul.
i do not know how you are doing. i wish we could talk about this. work on this. together. i do not know how to exist without you. it has not even been a week and i am suffering incredibly. how am i expected to continue on like this?
i know it is bad, but i asked about you today. from our one mutual friend that i am able to talk to about you. the one lifeline i have to your life. he said you're doing okay. trying to figure stuff out. he said if you were given the opportunity to be with someone else, you wouldn't turn it down. is that true? please tell me it isn't.
i do not want to imagine you with someone else. i cannot imagine you with someone else. someone else who would love you like i did. someone else who would see you the way i did. someone else with you, loving you and touching you. the way i did.
i know this can't be healthy. i know it. but i feel like my entire world shifted and it hasn't been the same since.
i have never been one to beg, but for you i would. so please. please. please come back home. i love you.
yours,
e

Day 7: Post a link to your favorite whump fic of all time (or reblog it and/or make a list of them!)
ok i decided to limit myself to just 10 of my all time favorite whump fics. these are ones that i return to all the time, that i reread whenever i'm having a bad day, you know the vibe. all of them are very dear to me and i hope someone else will enjoy them too!!! i'll put them under a readmore since this got a bit long :)
Caged by Cargo - 911. Cargo is one of my absolute favorite writers and i've been in love with this fic for a longass time. the emotions and caretaking are absolutely top tier, and there's a lovely blend of emotional and physical whump. summary: "As Eddie stands in his kitchen after returning home from tonight's fight, he finally cracks. He starts falling apart and he knows there's only one person in the entire world he trusts to pick up the pieces. It's why he's dialling Buck's number before he even knows he has his phone in his hands."
Bloodshot Soul by OrionLady - bourne series. this one straight up has made me cry i can't even lie. it's a beautiful and very genuine exploration of the characters and the emotional whump is wonderfully painful. summary: "He cannot fathom why a crusty old skipper would care so much about a strange John Doe he fished out of the water, why he would smile and touch his shoulder and feed him pie. Then again, there are many things he doesn’t understand yet. The closer he and Giancarlo get, the less he wants to remember. An exploration into Jason and Giancarlo’s friendship during his two weeks aboard the fishing trawler."
In The Shadows of The Night by MissCrazyWriter321 - grimm. this fic is thee one that i turn to whenever i'm feeling sad. i love nick and rosalee's dynamic and this fic lets nick break down while keeping both of them perfectly in character. i'm absolutely obsessed with it. summary: "A board creeks beneath her foot, and he startles, but calms quickly when he sees her. “Sorry,” she murmurs. “I hope I didn’t wake you.” Obviously she didn’t, but she needs to be careful how she handles this. If she pushes too hard, he’ll just end up shutting down."
Eggs Two Ways by leslielol - law and order svu. something about the writing style in this one absolutely captivates me. like, there was a period of time where i straight up read this fic once a week and i'm not kidding. they're both super in character and it's a delightful read! summary: "It’s not often Barba has a reason to exercise a set of skills separate from those as a prosecutor. While sat in a holding cell nursing a broken nose, Carisi learns he’s as sharp as ever. (A missing-scene fic from 16x15 “Undercover Mother.”)"
Breaking all the things I'd wish to keep and Can't erase, can't rewind by Elisexyz - the man from uncle. ok yeah this is technically two. sue me. ely is like, my favorite fic author ever and i love all of her tmfu stuff, but these two hold a special place in my heart and make me go absolutely crazy every time (they go together btw). if you're into tmfu and for some reason haven't read her fics then uhh. get on that right now bc she's amazing. summary: "Napoleon maintains that attempted murder cannot be classified as an "accident"."// "“I didn’t think it was him.”"
the moon points to the sun by haloud - roswell new mexico. this fic has been making me insane for literal years. it's emotional whump and has a somewhat different vibe to the other fics on this list, but i absolutely adore it. this writer understands the characters so well and their style is absolutely incredible. top tier fic right here. summary: "They don't do apologies, Max and Michael. If they started, they'd never stop."
No Rules, No Winners by April_Valentine - person of interest. this is one of those times where you watch something and you're like 'man i wish they'd addressed this pain in the show' and then you find the absolute perfect fic that does address it. it's so tender and lovely and exactly what the episode was missing. summary: "Set just before the tag of "Baby Blue." After leaving Moretti's safe house, Reese goes back to the library."
The Car Accident by Tipper - sneaky pete. another one i've been obsessed with for literal years. it's on the longer side but it's so good, wonderful family dynamics and a really excellent storyline. summary: "After Julia found out who he was, all Marius wanted was one more Sunday night dinner with the family. It was a mistake. The trusting way they looked at him, the uncertain way she looked at him.... He left early, afraid to sink any deeper. The black truck came out of nowhere as he drove away..."
Too Hot (Hot Damn) by WasteTimeandType - the man from uncle. i loveee some heat exhaustion fics and this one is so good! i reread it recently when i was sick and miserable and seeing illya much more sick and miserable than i was really made me feel better lol. summary: "'Out of all the UNCLE missions, this was by far the worst. He’d been shot, stabbed, tortured with water and forced to run miles in a forest in the middle of Canada. All of that was preferable to this. The damn heat.' Illya suffers from heat exhaustion and Gaby and Napoleon take care of him. Kink Meme fill."
A Little Tender Care by ArgylePirateWD - person of interest. this one's a sickfic, i read it before i actually started watching the show and absolutely adored it, and i still adore it now. true to the title, it's super tender and soft and it's a really sweet read. summary: "The Man in the Suit doesn't usually take sick days. Usually."
and that's 10!! this is far from a complete list of all the fics i adore, but these are the first 10 (or 11) that i knew i needed to rec. if anyone wants more recs, lmk, i've got tons :)

Always| Aemond Targaryen x FemOC Westerling
Tumblr media
summary: the things we do for love.
a/n: english is not my first language so be ready for a lot of grammatical errors
"This is TREASON!" Lucinda felt his arms wrapping to cover her eyes from the scene in front of her.
Ser Criston Cole just killed Lord Beesbury without any orders.
She tried to look but she felt him forcing her not to, he doesn't want her to see this, his family doing this.
"I've seen worst Aemond, let me go" she said and forcefully pulled his hands away from her, and there she saw the Lord's blood dripping to the ground, her father the Lord Commander pointing a sword to the Queen's sworn protector and Ser Criston Cole doing the same to her father, she tried to reach for her father but he grabbed her.
"Don't..." it's a whisper, a beg from him.
"Drop your sword Ser Cole" her father said.
She watched the scene slowly unfold into pieces, her father resigning as the Lord Commander of Kingsguard and took her but Aemond grabbed her right arm.
"Aemond-"
"She is not leaving here, we are soon to be betrothed Lord Westerling" Aemond remind him but her father didn't care.
"I wouldn't give my daughter to your family especially to you, my loyalty belongs to King Viserys and only to him now that his dead I have no obligations here anymore" he said and completely pulled Lucinda and they both leave the Keep.
The silence between her and her father was loud, he can't hate her father for leaving the castle, he was right he sworn to the late King not her wife or son.
But still she can't help the tear falling from her eyes everytime she remember that, that was the last time she will ever see Aemond again.
"I know it's hard my daughter but we can't trust them" her father said and comforted her as she cry.
They're supposed to be betrothed to each other next moon and get wed and have a happy life, Aemond promised her a lot of things.
"The Queen said it's the King's dying wish why would she lie about that?" she tried to explained.
"The King wouldn't declare someone as his heir with just the Queen as his witness, it's absurd"
She sighs and he has a point, the Queen's statement may not be the truth after all who wouldn't want their son to sit on the throne?
She looked at the window of their carriage and frowned when she realize its not their way home.
"Where are we going?" she asked her father
"Dragonstone, the real heir asked for us there" her father said not looking at her.
Weeks passed there council grew the news of her father's death they brought to her made her miserable.
"Right" she said while teaching the young heir of Driftmark with swords.
Instead of hitting her right Lucerys accidentally slashed the left side of her cheeks.
"Lady Westerling!" Luke called her and went to her. "I'm sorry" he apologized his brother also come up to them.
"It's nothing let's continue" she smiled and wiped the blood off from her.
While teaching the young prince, Aemond's face flashed in her mind the time when they were the one who's training at the grounds of the Keep.
"Come on, show me what you got" she said cockily as he challenged the skilled prince. The rain was pouring very hard but they didn't care if they get drenched what important is they having fun.
Aemond smirked and swing his sword to her left and she used her own to stop it, she attacked him next targeting his waist but the prince grabbed her wrist and pulled her to him, his arm wrapped around neck head-locking her.
"Now you show me what you got" Aemond whispered to her ear, Lucinda smirked as she forcefully turned around to meet his face, Aemond pulled away his head a bit to leave a space between them.
Aemond didn't notice how his arm slowly loosen from her it made her smirk as she pushed him against the wall and point a dagger from her pocket in his throat.
"You're easily distracted my prince" she taunted and withdraw her dagger back to her pocket but her arms remained at him.
"How can I not be? My opponent is too charming" Aemond said back and his fingers slowly caress her cheek down to her nape, pulling her in a passionate kiss.
"Lady? Are you present?" she snapped back when he heard Ser Erryk's voice, she looked around a saw the two Velaryon boys looking at him with grimaces in their faces.
"I'm sorry my prince, but I would like to rest for today we can continue tommorow" she said and didn't wait for answers and just leave.
She was pacing through the hallways while tears flowing down to her cheeks, why does life have to be so hard?, she slammed the door of her chamber and buried her face on her pillow, she screamed there so she can contain the loudness and anger to it.
After few screams she sat down and hugged her knees, she slowly imagined her moments with him again..
"Do I look okay?" she asked him still looking at herself on the mirror, she was trying the new dress Aemond gave him.
"You look stunning hon" he said and hugged her from behind, his arms wrapping around her waist locking her in his embrace.
"I'll do anything to have you..." He said making the lady smile.
"What if you have to choose between me and your-"
"I'll choose you.... always" he said not letting her finish.
"I will always choose you, my Lucinda" he repeated and kissed her cheeks.
She inhaled before wiping the tears she didn't know that already escaped in her eyes.
He told her he's gonna choose her always, no matter what happen then where is he now? he let her father took her away from him, he let them to separate them.
Another weeks passed without him and she's gonna lose herself.
"Lady Westerling?"
She missed him, his touch, his presence
"Lucinda"
his voice, embrace, smile and those lips of him-
"Lucinda!" she jumped out a bit when her father yell.
"Sevens you're so out my child, is there something wrong?" her father asked genuinely worried about his only daughter.
"Nothing father, just thinking of something I'm sorry please continue" she only said and sighs, everyone was looking at her worried, Rhaenyra at the corner scanned her and knew why the young girl is acting like that. Rhaenyra knew that she missed him, she have ears in the Keep who informed her that Lucinda and her brother is soon to be betrothed to each other maybe that's the reason why the girl is always quiet.
"Lucinda you can rest to your chambers early if you want" the princess offered her.
"No princess I'm fine, do not worry" she said and smiled a bit.
They continue the meeting but her mind still fly away back to him, to their memories.
"Aemond stop this" she called him when he was about to punch Jacaerys, it was a dinner between the two families and the Queen and Aemond invite her to eat with them which she can't turn down, after the King rest, the boys started throwing insults to one another.
"I'm just expressing how proud I am of my family mother" Aemond said to the Queen completely ignoring his lover. "Though it seems that my nephew aren't quite proud as theirs" he added and walked forward to the young prince, but Lucinda forcefully pulled him making the one-eyed prince fall to her.
"I told you to stop" she whispered to him before leaving the hall together with her sister Helaena.
He knew she didn't liked it how he acted there that's why he decided to make it up to her after.
They're at the top of a mountain, Aemond brought her there using Vhagar to go stargazing, the prince prepared a small picnic for them.
"Do you like it?" Aemond asked as he sat beside her.
"I love it, but why?" she slightly narrowed her eyes at him like she's accusing him of something.
"I want to apologize how I acted earlier" he said while caressing her arm before snaking his own around her waist.
"Just don't ever do it again please Aemond" Lucinda said and leaned her back against the prince chest.
"I'll try my best, for you" Aemond said and kissed her exposed shoulder.
God she miss him so much!
That's when she decided to fuck it, she's gonna see him tonight one way or another, she left her bed wear a hoodie that will hide her body and whole face, she looked both sides of her directions checking if someone see her thankfully no one does yet, she reached at the port and saw small boat.  It's dangerous to travel all the way from Dragonstone to the Keep but who cares? her father of course but still.
"I'm sorry in advance father, I'm gonna come back I promise" she whispered to herself and ride the small and begun to swing the paddles on both side of it.
4 fucking hours that she's been swinging this shit boat, and she's growing impatient, thank god she finally reached her destination.
She's the daughter of Lord Westerling and lover of Aemond of course she knew the routes and secret passageways here, opening a secret door it reached the dungeons she looked around and saw a raven eating bits of bread on the ground. When she revealed a small bread the raven come to her she looked around the abandoned dungeon and saw a quill and small piece of parchment while the raven was eating she tied the letter on it legs and flee away, hoping it would get to him.
Aemond just finished taking a bath after a long training with Criston, while taking his clothes her face flashed again in his head, but instead of getting sad he smiled, he doesn't want to forget about her or whatever what they have but also he wouldn't allow it that they'll just stay like that he's gonna get her.
He looked at his window and noticed the raven landing on his table he frowned when he saw a small paper tied on its leg, he walked to it and took the paper and opening it.
"Dungeon now, the abandoned one
-Lucinda"
his heart dropped when he read who's the sender, he immidietly dressed up and run to the abadoned dungeons.
He looked around and his gaze settled to the woman that was sitting on the ground, hugging her knees. Lucinda looked up and run towards him, he opened his arms to her.
"My Lucinda, I missed you" he said a starts to pour kisses on the top of her head, he held both side of her head making her look up to him.
His chest stung when he saw tears flowing into her eyes.
"I miss you Aemond, there's no day I wouldn't think about you, us" she cried out and hugged him tighter.
"Me too my love, me too but what's important now is you're here" he replied.
The love of his life is here in his arms hugging him, three weeks. Three weeks he was longing for her.
The two lovers cherish the time they have for the whole day, Aemond took her out in the city and watched different plays they stumbled in a play about him and their "rumored" relationship.
Lucinda was smiling from ear to ear under her hood while watching the person playing them while on the other hand Aemond wasn't on the same page."They get every detail of her all wrong" he thought, from her hair, height, face shape, her lips and her eyes how could they not notice the true color of her lovely eyes? to Lucinda it really doesn't matter how their physical appearance was portrayed but to Aemond, it's the other way around.
"You're more beautiful than that" Aemond whispered he sound annoyed, Lucinda throw a stern look at him.
"Come on, let's just enjoy the play" she softly beg and caress his right arm, his eyes darted to her touch in his arms.
He smiled and hold the back of her head as he pulled her to kiss her forehead he hummed, agreeing with what she wants.
"You always do that you know, the "hm" thing you always do" Lucinda told him not even looking at him, too astonished by the play.
"Sorry, do you want me to stop?" He asked concerned.
"What? Of course not, I found it really attractive" she smiled and looked at him she wiggled her both eyebrows to him, completely teasing him.
Aemond chuckled at the sight, he can feel something inside him tickling together with his heart pounding rapidly, "she notice it" he smiled as he thought, it has always been his mannerism but he never thought that his girl would grow attracted to it.
After their time at the play, they stopped somewhere near the lake there's a big tree and they went under it, Aemond sat on the grass while she lay her head on his lap.
"I could stay like this with you forever you know" she blurted while Aemond was stroking her hair.
Lucinda loved that idea just them under this tree near the lake, sitting and looking at each other, she would love that and so is he only if duty and honor aren't in their way. He was a dutiful son and brother but Lucinda wasn't just a dutiful daughter now, but also a faithful person, a Westerling that will not bow to fake King, that will never break the vow she made to her Queen. A hard pour of rain brought her back to the reality.
"Let's go back-" she was about to run when he wrapped his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him, she fell to him making him straddle on his lap; Aemond hugged her.
He hugged her like she's the only thing matter to him  right now, like she's the most important thing to him, like she's the most valuable person he ever had.
"Let's stay like this...." Aemond trailed...
"Please..." the Prince added, he nuzzle his head in hee neck; his hands gripping her tightly.
Lucinda smiled and nodded, she pulled away to face him.
"he's so beautiful"
"she's so gorgeous"
They both thought as the stare into each other, the raindrops didn't bother them from instead she swiftly wipes the strands of hair that's covering his face while wiping it out her hand stopped on his eye patch.
Aemond hitched his breath while his lover was caressing the thing that covered his most hated part of his body, part of him. He grabbed her hand and pulled it away from his patch, Lucinda's face softened but she understands it. She showed a small smile to him and kiss his cheek.
"I love you, please tell me that you know it" She said while pressing her forehead against his, they're drenched now but no one between them cared.
"I know it, I love you" he whispered.
His hands slipped between their faces reaching for his eye patch and slowly took off the mask of his eye,  Lucinda scanned his eyes it was all blue, is that a blue gem she's seeing inside his eye? Aemond grew worried when he saw how she stayed quiet he tried to look away but Lucinda grabbed both side of his face, forcing him to look at her.
"It's beautiful" she said and kissed him it was slow and passionate, he squeezed the side of her waist making her gasped, Aemond used it as an advantage to slip his tongue inside her, tasting every inch of her they can both taste the raindrops mixed with their lips. Lucinda pulled away to catch her breathe, Aemond was also panting as they both pressed their forehead to each other again.
"Would you ran away with me?" Lucinda froze at his question and he could feel how she stiffened in her spot.
"Aemond.." she whispered it almost sounded as a warning.
"I'm just asking, but if you don't want to I'll still understand" he reached for her hands and softly caressed it.
"I can't, I vowed to the Queen and her sons" she was vowed to protect the boys in any cost. Aemond muttered a small "hm"
The silence that filled them after was killing her, she would love running away with him but that's not what her heart want, she doesn't want for them to run away and hide. She wants to leave a normal life after this and she wants to both fight together, she knew Aemond would also love that.
"I understand your devotion to my sister but I need you to understand that the King, my father wished Aegon to be King before he died" he tried to convinced her, he didn't really give a fuck of who the heir is, he just wants her to be with him, to fight with him.
"Were you there when he said that?" Lucinda asked, she saw how disappointment coated his eye.
"Do you think my mother would lie to a such thing?" He can't help but to raise his voice, he stood up making her fell on the grounds.
"My mother saw how the King slowly died she was there when the King died! Not my sister! Not your so called Queen" Aemond snapped,
"Aemond anyone is capable of lying do not be blind" She tried to stay calm, she even tried to reach for him but he would pull away or step back.
"Well if that's the case perhaps all of the things you told me earlier was a lie" Lucinda can feel her jaw clenched not because of anger but of disappoinment to the man in front of her,
"I traveled for hours Aemond, four fucking hourse swinging, paddling a fucking boat just to get to you, to see you, I tried to convince my father to believe your family, I- I did everything I fucking can and yet you still think that I would lie to you?" She shouted, her voice was trembling her voice was calmed but not the volume of it, the raindrops and her tears mixing in her face.
"How about you? Did you ever do anything to see me?" she asked, the past weeks she didn't heard anything from him if she ever didn't drift here would they even meet again?
"I did, I searched for you I found out that you and your father weren't in your home I was worried until one day someone informed that you're in Dragonstone and I was relief and decided not to bother you again, because I know you Lucinda! I knew you would vow to her, I knew you would be faithful to her so I decided to stay away but when I had the letter from you, I decided not give a damn on anything anymore because all I want is to see you" he answered he slowly reached for his pocket and grabbed his eye patch there to cover his left eye again.
"Aemond you have to understand that we have to consequences of our actions"
"We don't have to, only if were both on the same page, if you love me you would stay with me" Lucinda felt weak as the last words dropped on his mouth.
She never thought that she would literally have to do this with him, that he will make her choose between him and her duties, she can't leave her father and so is the Queen and her sons.
"If you love me you wouldn't make me choose" she still smiled at him but it was a sad smile, she gulped and nod to herself. "I guess we never really knew each other" she added and walked passed him, she left her there at the rain. She didn't dare to looked back scared that she ever see him she would fold and choose him.
Her way back to Dragonstone was nothing but filled with cries and sobs, everyone watched her as she walked through the halls all drenched and freezing who wouldn't be? she literally sail at the ocean in the middle of a heavy rain with nothing but a small boat.
After cleaning herself she sat in her bed, her doors unlocked her father walked in, she stood up and prepare her long apologize only to be cut off by a tight hug.
"My daughter, how are you?" he asked worried.
"I'm okay father I am sorry for leaving the castle without your permission I.... -I just can't help but to miss him" she said and cried again, god her eyes are so sore now!
"I'm sorry I dragged you into this" her Lord Father hugged her, and rubbed her back as his daughter cried on his shoulder, sometimes the Lord blame himself of what's happening to her daughter perhaps if he chose to stay with the Greens her daughter would not be crying right now.
"He made me choose, between him and my duty"
"And?"
"Well I'm right in front of you now, what did you think I chose" she laughed to lighten her mood but it didn't work.
She wanted to fight with him, win with him, be with him but they're both in different sides, both have different beliefs, different things that they fight for and she will always choose to stay with her convictions.
Three days had passed Lucinda never left her room, and not only her father is getting concerned for her.
Ser Harrold was talking with the Queen about her daughter and what happened to her when she was gone.
"Perhaps the Prince just wanted to take my daughter to make his alliance and use against me" The Commander said
"No" All of the council looked at the Queen "That's not what's Aemond intention if he wanted to use Lucinda against you he could've just make her his prisoner in the Keep but he didn't, he gave her a choice. A choice that will end an argument" she added. She may not be close to the boy but he's easy to read.
"Aemond loves your daughter Harrold, even I can see it" Daemon joined as he sips his wine.
There was a silence until Ser Erryk entered the room and stopped in front of the Queen to bow.
"Your Grace, your brother Prince Aemond is outside the castle, he said he wanted to talk to you" A massive whispers filled the room, she looked at Lord Westerling also with shock eyes, she and Daemon stood up and immediately walked to face the unexpected visitor she fixed her dress and crown before going outside. She saw him on the shore watching the waves of the ocean.
"Prince Aemond, it's great to see you" she greeted, the Prince nod his head, he scanned her sister that's now the crowned Queen of some people here.
"Princess-"
"It's Queen Rhaenyra now if you visit here address me with my title,....brother" she whispered the last word but enough for Aemond to hear.
"If your mother sent you to offer us some shits to bend our knee for your dear brother-"
"I'm not here for that" he said cutting off his uncle Daemon.
"Then what brings you here?" Rhaenyra asked,
"I am here for Lucinda, your Hand sister I'm asking for your blessing for me to court her but I know I can't be with her if we fight for different things so... ." Rhaenyra and her husband and some other servants watched as the one eye prince kneel in front of their Queen.
"I'm bending my knee for you Your Grace, I can even vow and pledge myself to you if you want to" he offered, the moment Lucinda left her in the rain he know nothing could change her mind anymore.
"She wouldn't fight beside me so I decided to fight beside her instead" he added, and bow to her.
Rhaenyra was happy as she carefully guide her brother to stood up. "You have my blessing brother, make her happy and don't ever hurt her that's an order from your Queen" she smiled and hugged him, Aemond didn't know how to respond to her sister's hug he looked at her husband and saw a small smile tugged on his lips, when Rhaenyra let him go; he excused himself and looked for his lover he asked a servant and point a chamber near them.
Lucinda was painting in her room, she was painting the memory of her with Aemond the last time they met at the lake under the rain, she painted two lowers under the three the man sitting on the ground and the woman lying on its lap, she felt like her hand has its own brain as in moved on it's own and draw and eye patch on the man that's in the painting. She was startled by the continues loud knocks from her door.
She received a tight hugged as soon as shs opened her door, the familiar scent of the man that was hugging her coated on her nose, she instantly hugged him back.
"Aemond...." Aemond's heart starts to pound again when he heard her voice, he buried his nose in her hair.
"I am here now, we will fight together, I will fight with you, for you just..... -just don't ever leave me" Aemond let out.
"I'm sorry for leav-"
"No, I'M sorry for making you choose I shouldn't have done that" he cut her off, Lucinda pulled away to examine his face, few tears are flowing down his cheek.
"You're gonna stay here? with me?" She asked but he only answered with a hum, she yelped when Aemond gently pushed her making her fell in her bed, he lay down on his mattress and gestured Lucinda to lay with him, he simply snaked his arms around her waist and pulled her closer to him.
"What about your family?" she asked again.
"Fuck them, I told you I would choose you no matter what happen Lucinda" Aemond said softly while stroking the small strands of her hair that was covering her face.
She smiled but she can help but to think that he betrayed his family for her which is sad she knew how important their name is for him.
"Stop overthinking what ever I did trust me, there's no regret. I will choose you over anything my love, my Lucinda" he smiled "Always..." he added and hugged her Lucinda buried her face on his neck.
Aemond will do anything for her, to be with her, to have her, she will always comes first, always....
That's the things he can do for love, for his Lucinda...

Genshin Boys With A Dense Crush (Part 2)
Here is part 2~ so, the reason why I didn't include Bennett and Razor is the fact that I can never write for them, like IDK why but its just very hard for me. So yeah, sorry about that. Part 1 (Albedo, Childe and Diluc)
Tumblr media
Chongyun
Dense + Dense = more dense
It was painfully obvious that Chongyun likes you but for some reason, he can’t quite figure that out for himself
But everyone around them knows
Xingqiu is actually on the road to writing a book about the two of you
Xiangling, Xinyan, Hu Tao, and Yan Fei are betting on how long until Chongyun realizes his feelings
Chongyun doesn’t know why he likes to see you every day, wants to have meals with you, and why he gets uncomfortable when he sees you with another person and smiling at them
Maybe it was the work of g-
“Oh I like them” -Chongyun one day when he woke up
He consulted his best friend Xingqiu about this and Xingqiu just placed his books down and said “dear archons finally, it was getting very painful to watch”
So the two started planning a cute little confession scenario
Somewhere Xinyan and Yan Fei are crying because they lost the best but Yan Fei is arguing that betting was illegal and has no ground in the law… Yan Fei, you betted with your conscience please stop
Anyway!
The pair of best friends decided to go with a simple type of confession because less is more in Xingqiu’s books
It was going so well, a cute dinner and all of that
“I like you Y/N, can we be more than that?”
Oh is that Xingqiu, Xiangling, Xinyan, Hu Tao, and Yan Fei spying on both of you from the bushes? Why, yes indeed.
“You want to be best friends Chongyun? But don’t you have Xingqiu as your best friend already?” - you with your ever so innocent voice and expression
Chongyun is frozen in place
Xingqiu, Xiangling, Xinyan, Hu Tao and Yan Fei are betting again this time how many times will Chongyun get a friendzone
Tumblr media
Kaeya
Someone revive him
He can’t take your dense nature anymore
This is Kaeya after all everything he does allude to something so WHY WON'T YOU GET IT STILL
“Oh, Kaeya? You like someone!? Can you introduce me to them?” - you asking excitedly upon hearing his and Rosaria’s conversation
Kaeya was pretty sure he was describing you
Rosaria is holding back her laugh, she can't breathe… SOMEONE SAVE HER
“I love them but this dense attitude is too much!” - Kaeya as he slams his fist on top of Diluc’s bar
“Have you tried wooing them?” - Diluc as his wiping a glass down, he's so nonchalant about this situation LMAO
“HAVE I TRIED?” - Kaeya sounding very offended
“How about getting a white bed sheet and painting “will you marry me Y/N” on it?” - Rosaria
“Yeah, they leave me no ch-”
“Sit down, don’t embarrass yourself like a child” - Diluc pushing his brother down to sit
“HOW WILL I GET MY FEELINGS ACROSS THOUGH!”
“Just confess, normally… like… a normal person” - Diluc
Kaeya decided that in two days time he was going to confess to you, two days because he needed to make sure it was perfect
But the moment he saw you laughing with some random guy all the planning was thrown out the window
“Meet me in front of the church when the sun rises” - Kaeya to you when he passes by you at the corridor of the headquarters
When you arrived, he made you stand at the flight of stairs in front of the church while he went down
He kneeled with his right knee touching the ground and he pulled a very neatly folded white sheet from his pocket
He unraveled it and wrote, “WILL YOU MARRY ME Y/N?”
But even before you can react a thunderous shouting can be heard and a chuckle
“WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING!? I SAID CONFESS NORMALLY!” -Diluc
Tumblr media
Thoma
I’m going to try but still little info on this new pyro husband
Thoma is a very understanding boy
He likes you so much that he's willing to wait
But damn has he been waiting long
He decided he was going to confess to you today as well!
“Y/N! I like you!” - Thoma
“I like you too! You are like my best friend!” - you
Every time this happens Thoma stress eats.
Ayaka is giggling because he has never seen her friend like this
He's trying his best for you to like him, he cooks for you, takes care of you, guards you, protects you…
WHAT IS HE DOING WRONG!?
“You know the festival is ongoing” -Ayato as he watches his sister’s friend mop around like a puppy who has been kicked. “Why don’t you try confessing properly and straight-forwardly there?”
That gave him an idea
He dragged to the talisman-wishing thing and told you that you two should make one
When the both of you were done, you should each other what you made and to your surprise, Thoma made a drawing of the both of you holding hands
“It’s not us being best friends forever” - he clarified
“It’s me hoping to spend many more years beside you as your lover.”
Tumblr media
Venti
Barbatos aka Venti the Bard has been singing a lot of love songs lately
Especially when you were in the audience watching
He always likes your smile especially when you were watching him
So when the two of you were strolling around near the church of Monstad
He decided that he was going to confess today
Years of being alone and he finally get what Vanessa told him about meeting the right person
“Y/N, I love you-”
“Aww, Venti, I love you too!”
“Really?!” - Venti very excitedly
“Yeah! I love you as a friend! We’re like besties!”
Dvalin felt that
Andrius felt that
Hell even Vanessa felt that from Celestia
“Oh I got to go, bestie, I have something to do! See you tomorrow!”
Lately, the winds of Monstad have been depressing?
“I don’t understand! I thought they liked me back!” Venti his chugging his alcohol while Diluc looked at him in irritation
Diluc wants to kick him out but Venti is Monstad’s archon so he decided against it
“Venti! There you are!” - you
Venti hears your voice and because his drunk his happy instead of upset
He throws himself at you in an attempt of a sloppy hug
“Y/N! I love you~”
“I love you too, we are fr-”
“NO! I LOVE YOU LIKE A SIGNIFICANT OTHER I LOVE YOU! THAT TYPE OF LOVE THAT IF YOU ASK ME TO FIGHT MORAX I WOULD!”
Tumblr media
Xiao
When Xiao first had these feelings he was confused
He lived a long life and this was the first time in his life where when he sees someone his chest becomes constricted and warm
“Xiao! Do you like traveler!?” - you excitedly
Xiao felt a tightening in his chest not that good type but am i being stab right now type of tightening
His answer would usually be along the lines of no and he can’t have relationships with mortals
He usually has a lot more patience with you compared to others but hearing you say that he looks good with someone else just made something in him snap
He didn’t mean to shout at you nor did he mean it when he said you should leave him alone
That’s why he's waiting for you at Wangshun Inn, his loneliness grew into worry when after 2 days you weren’t back yet
Upon eavesdropping around he also found out that no one has seen you and your last known location was Mt. Hulao and he immediately began to worry because that place was prohibited to humans
“Are you looking for someone?” - Mountain Sharper appeared behind Xiao as he reached the top of Mt. Hulao. “Are you looking for a mortal perhaps?”
“How did-”
“-That mortal is pretty noisy, they don’t stop talking and they know you.”
Oh, the warm feeling in his chest is back because they were talking about him which means that they weren’t angry at him!
“Where are they!?” Xiao would realize and I swear to you his ready to break every amber rock around Mt.Hulao
“Calm down, they are currently collecting Qingxin flowers”
Right on cue, “XIAO!? IS THAT YOU!?” he heard your voice from behind him, when he saw you, he immediately rushes to you and hugs you
“What are you doing here!?” Xiao would ask, his voice was raised only because of relief
“Oh, I got lost! And Moon Sharper here saw me, we ended up chatting and I guess I forgot the time, he shared so many stories about y- WHY DO YOU LOOK LIKE THAT ARE YOU HURT!?”
“I’m alright… I just… I m-miss…”
Moon Sharper is just looking at this scene and he knows he's about to spill the hottest tea next time the adeptus (idk plural form okay) have a dinner party
Tumblr media
Xingqiu
At first glance, it might look like that he isn’t affected at all
But internal his boiling
WHY WERE YOU SO DENSE
IF IT WEREN’T FOR HIS CLAN'S TEACHING AND WHAT NOT HIS PROBABLY ABOUT TO ASK YOU FOR A FIGHT
“You’ll make a great husband someday Xingqiu, I know it! Your future wife would be so happy!”
“I want you to be my wife though”
“What was that?”
“NOTHING!”
He knows he needs to move so he can win your heart but how can he when you were dodging every advance he makes
What is more frustrating is that YOU ARE NOT EVEN DOING IT ON PURPOSE
As an author he wants to experience romance first hand, so he tries to be romantic about it but this was frustrating
He decided to pull his last technique from his sleeves
He lent you a very romantic book and between one of the pages he inserted a paper that read “I wish for you to be my muse.”
If that doesn’t work Xingqiu is going to ask you to fight him
Tumblr media
Zhongli
Zhongli, Rex Lapis aka Morax has lived thousands of years
Yet this is the first time he encountered someone so dense at first he taught you were just kidding and pretending but when he described what he likes in someone which was pertaining to you
You simply said “WOW THEY SOUND WONDERFUL AND YOU MUST REALLY LIKE THEM BECAUSE YOU SOUND SO IN LOVE” at his face with genuine awe, there was no sign of you being flustered and whatnot
Hu Tao was there to witness this and the younger female had a good laugh when she witnessed this
Zhongli is now praying to Guizhong for help and patience
He first wondered if the reason for such behavior was because you dislike him but it wasn’t the case because you would always smile when you see him
Which makes his knees very weak
In heaven, all the dead gods are laughing at him
He has lived for so many years and yet he doesn’t know what to do because he wants to spend years with you
But a part of him says this isn’t right because his an immortal and you were a mortal, someday him being a former god would drive an enigma in the future
That’s why he was also hesitating on his part
“Zhongli, look-look! A merchant from Monstad gave me a Cecilia!” - you snapping him from his thought, he's a tall man so you had to tip-toe to put the flower in his hair
“There you look even prettier now!” - you smiling up to him
As you were withdrawing your hand, Zhongli grabs it and places it in front of his lips
“I love you Y/N”

Note
Okie dokie, time for the speculation portion! (Most of these are about Alexis) Heavens to Betsy, this is long, I am so sorry
Decepticon side:
Carousel (Who's Gonna Hold You Down): it was mentioned somewhere that Alexis is going to end up going to school at Griffin Rock, so I chose this song to represent her possible feelings of exclusion, like, she's organic, but now something's different, and she's can't fully immerse herself into organic's communities anymore. I also had the super cute imagine of her and Starscream finding a carousel and Starscream humoring her by spinning it around as she rides one of the horses <3
Mirror Man: just ... it's such a Sunstorm song
The Prowler: as suggested
New Tail: Alexis making and testing out her new wings! :D
Laura: I imagine this one to be about Starscream and his frustrations with Alexis holding on to her morals but also admitting (to himself, barely) that he still loves her
Life on Mars: Thundercracker not really feeling that Decepticon Cause tm
Cog in the Machine: Alexis's schemes and how she's using people to get what she wants, with or without the other person fully realizing that they just got played like a fiddle
Just a Girl (Florence and the Machine Cover): Alexis receiving the Requiem Bow >:D and her becoming an even bigger threat. And the juxtaposition of this being a darker, more mature (perhaps) version of the original song, to really highlight Alexis's character arc. I read in a youtube comment once something along the lines of: "the original feels like a lament, this cover feels like a warning."
Megalovania (Piano Cover): Alexis coming to realize and/or someone psychoanalyzing her that she's not a sweet, innocent little girl anymore, probably after she kills a Cybertronian all by herself
The Moon Will Sing: kind of the start of the fallout between Alexis and Starscream from Alexis's perspective, still unsure where to put it
You'll Be Back: sort of Starscream reassuring himself that, even after their fallout, Alexis will come back eventually. And even then, what's stopping him from going out and bringing her back? a conscience perhaps
The Yawning Grave: change of pace, just a what-if scenario of one of Soundwave's cassettes getting hurt (or worse 😶) and Soundwave hunting down the one responsible
It Tore Your Heart Out: Alexis realizing that Starscream lied to her for years about the war, the Autobots, Sari, and anything else really and her resulting rage
No Surprises, Asuka + Asuka Tiktok audio: I adore these two videos because of how tragic they are, then I got to thinking "haha what if this happened to Alexis if she ever had the misfortune of meeting Unicron? Haha, as if ... UNLESS 😱"
Kiryu G@ Ki Ll: How I imagine how scary Alexis would be commanding a whole army
Downpour: if Alexis were to see Starscream fall in battle
I Want to Know: Starscream's thoughts if Alexis were to arrive at his "corpse" on a battlefield
Storytime: Kind of how I feel the end of Alexis's story/character arc would affect me in her final battle, which is devastatingly
Yakusoku no Hana: The movie that this song is from is about an elf that raises a human child; the elf ends up outliving him and she witnesses him dying of old age. I didn't care for the rest of the movie but that ending scene really got to me, of a parent outliving their child and all their memories come rushing back. The climax of the song plays during the elf breaking down and crying in a field of grass, so I thought, "what if Alexis dies of old age and Starscream had a scene like this?" and it hurt so bad I had to put it in
Autobot side:
Alligator Teeth: Sari barely being able to hold onto her innocence as the story progresses and the war ever so more apparent all around her
Glitter and Gold: Sari starting to get the hang of her Primus Powerstm and just embracing the fact she a human with magic
Just a Man: as suggested
No Pulse: Won't be a while yet I presume, but Miko starting to take the war seriously and stepping onto the battlefield dressed to the nines in Wrecker Power!!!
Who is She? (Reprise): A what-if scenario of Sari realizing she had forgotten what Alexis looked like
Take it All: as suggested
This is Gonna Hurt: as suggested
Once Upon a December: Sari unlocking that past trauma! (of before she showed up at Alexis's village)
Since You've Been Gone (Epic Version): Sari and Alexis fighting alongside each other for the first time, from Sari's perspective
Hopes and Dreams: as suggested
The Colossal Finale: Pretty much the end of the final battle and then everything settling in the aftershock of "the war is over"
The Owl House Ending Theme ll Orchestral Version: The main cast standing together and watching the dawn.
And that's it for the moment! I will add and/or subtract from the playlist as time goes on, but I'm glad that I'm able to share it. You don't have to like every song in this playlist of course, but I'm happy that it is received well, thank you!
Do you have any songs that fit in the miracle series? For playlist purposes? 👉👈
Oh dude you have no idea. I come up with new scenes while daydreaming to songs.
I've been listening to a lot of Epic: The Musical by Jorge Rivera-Herrans recently. 'Just a Man' fits Optimus pretty well, considering all the compromises and difficult decisions he has to make during the war.
'Monster' really suits where I'm going with Alexis as she gets older, as does 'Different Beast' and 'Scylla'. A song that works if she's ever tricking someone, pretending to be all helpless and innocent, is the 'Title Theme of Majora's Mask, Zelda' that song gets real sinister towards the end, like Alexis' mask slipping is away the second her enemy turns their back.
'Valley Of Wolves - Take It All' suits Sari as does 'Undertale - Hopes and Dreams'. Any loud final battle theme works for her honestly XD. Sixx: A.M. - 'This is Gonna Hurt' is another one for Sari.
If you want a song for the series as a whole, then 'Louder than Words' by Less Friction is what I would put down.
And if I'm ever daydreaming about Starscream hunting someone down, especially after they have hurt Alexis, I listen to 'The Prowler's theme' from 'Into the Spiderverse.'

Song: Easy to Forget Me by Cimorelli
Pairings: Tobio Kageyama x fem! reader
Word count: 2.8k
Summary: When the king's queen was out of his grasp before he can realize
Warning/Genre: angst, toxic friendship, anxiety attack
Symbols: Italics=flashbacks
A/N: um- im very much hurt
Tumblr media
Kageyama pants as he runs, pushing his limit with his eyes scanning the street ahead of him. His chest heavily coming up and down with sweat dripping down his skin. Mind empty but theres a certain feeling in his chest that was urging him to come back to a certain period in his life or a certain someone.
As he passes by a certain store, he suddenly stops. The feeling of his legs as if it they were holding him back, restraining his every move along with a voice lingering in his head like a broken record.
"She wasn't there."
Like a rock thrown to glass, his heart shatters, the sharpness of it scattering around his body making him weak to his knees as he stares at the shop that brought back memories he should've cherished. Maybe he should've gone with you when you asked him, maybe he should've took interest in your stories that had you smiling for days.
Maybe he should've chosen to remember.
"Tobio! Please don't push me away." Y/N begs, as Tobio disregards your words as he locks the door, slamming it in front of you. It was right after the match of Kitagawa, where his teammates claimed him the King, leaving him stranded.
"Please.. I'm here. I'll stay with you, I promise." Y/N says, head leaned on the door as she desperately tries to talk to the boy who've built such high walls a person like her can never reach. Kageyama can hear her pleas through the door but only one scene was repeating in his head-the moment the ball dropped, not even a soul was willing to save it for him.
"Kageyama.." she whispers sliding down with tears in her innocent eyes, scared for the condition of the boy, even more scared of what was bound to happen to their closeness.
The door creaks open slightly, and she was off her feet wiping away her tears as she turns around to see the broken boy clutching his shirt. He collapses into her arms and she gladly takes him, both sat on the ground with her hands running through his dark locks. Tears in each of their eyes, Y/N holding onto him while he questions himself. All the words that slipped through her mouth was nothing but sweet whispers and promises, reassuring him that he was no king.
Just a prince surrounded in a kingdom he didn't deserve.
-
"T-thank you for yesterday. You're the only one I can..count on." He says through the phone and you immediately smile at his words, surprised he believed in your promise. You let your hand rest on top of your heart, gripping on your shirt feeling that your heart was too big to fit into your body with how your emotions were overwhelming you just because of one boy. You wonder how long it'll take for you to break under him, under the kings command.
"It's nothing, Tobio. I'll be here whenever you need me."
-
"Kageyama! Good morning!" You say as you gladly bring him his usual choice of milk. He nods to you as a sign of thank you, and you smile at him. You walk with him silently, admiring the pleasant air between you two. It was a coincidence you two entered the same school, or was it really just your instinct and you chose it to protect the boy?
"I heard about this new store. Do you wanna come with me? I've seen photos of it everywhere!" She rambles on yet it fell on deaf ears as Kageyama was only delighted about being back on the gym, able to play his passion. When he turned to her, even if she was talking, his slightest care couldn't be given to her. He'd only nod every once in a while to make it seem like he'd understood.
If your heart knew that he didn't care, maybe then you would've realized.
-
We're in the same town
But you're nowhere to be found
"She hasn't been around for days. Do you think she'll make it to our game?" Hinata asks as Tanaka hands him another ball. Tanaka sighs as he looks over to the empty bench. It was funny how they were all concerned yet one boy couldn't care less. The second year looks over to Kageyama who spiked the ball perfectly, seeing him cheer at his success.
"Worry less about Y/N, she probably has her own problems. We all know that she could never miss our game, especially when Kageyama is playing." Daichi says, looking over to the younger boy. Daichi can feel how cold the atmosphere was with just a glance. He tries not to interfere with whatever happened between you two but after the match no one saw you again. Yet he sees Kageyama, perfectly back in his mindset and not an ounce of suspense as to why you weren't present.
"Plus we missed her birthday! Can't we buy some gifts for her? She doesn't really seem okay to me." Sugawara say and Nishinoya jumps at the idea agreeing completely.
"Seems like he shouldn't be invited." Tsukishima says, pointing at their other setter. Hinata sighs beside him, before shaking his head, in denial of the tension.
"Let's just go after practice!"
-
He walks inside the record store, seeing a variety of albums and vinyls. He lets his slim fingers run over the texture of each album, wondering which drew his attention. The atmosphere of the store was enough to leave a weight on his shoulders.
It's you, isn't it?
He eyes a poster on his left, enjoying how the colors were spotlighted by the sunlight that was peeking through the window. All the soft hues, having a dark gradient at the bottom he couldn't help but feel how familiar everything was. He carefully listens to the song that was playing, concentrating on every lyric as if he was trying to find a connection.
This is her world.
He watches how everyone in the store was occupied in conversations. Conversing about their interests, debating about different eras, even singing in different aisles. He can only feel sympathy, alone in her world he didn't bother to acknowledge. He should know by now what music you like, what album you first bought, which band poster was hung on your wall, but when he tried he could only hear murmurs and whispers.
I wish I listened.
-
Do you ever miss me?
You wonder as you sat in your room, knees to your chest in the far corner, listening to the song playing in your earphones. You stood up, walking to your window and opening it, greeted by the cold air. You let you hands dangle from the window while your eyes landing on the night sky creeping a smile on your face at how comforting it was.
The moon stares down on you, feeling helpless for the girl who thought numbness was the right choice. She couldn't even mask the way her world was slowly loosing color. To her, music would always paint her skies with color. All she can do now is envision the colors but in reality they were all desaturating with every passing day. There's pretty smile set on her lips yet feels like a tug of force knowing it was hard to act civil when her heart lost the battle.
-
"This place is so cool!" Hinata exclaims, eyes sparkling at the sight of the vivid posters and overall aesthetic and aura of the store. Nishinoya joins him on the excitement. Daichi turn to Kageyama who looked like a lost puppy, eyes wandering everywhere. Sugawara taps Daichis shoulder quite cutely holding up a vinyl in his hands.
"This looks like something she'd like!" He says with a smile and Nishinoya joins the conversation, holding out his own album waving it in the air claiming it was more her type. Asahi laughs at the two while he continues to view the albums that were in front of him.
Kageyama glances at his seniors along with the second years. He sees the genuine care they have for her but why is that he feels empty? Like he was numb to any feeling. He did miss her birthday, not even bothering to greet her, focusing on doing better for the next matches.
Hinata notices the dismay from the boy but his lips form a thin line, knowing exactly why Kageyamas clueless. He wonders about the feeling of neglecting a person that's been by your side for years. Kageyama seemed like he was a pro for such things. He always took notice of how Y/N would look whenever he's decline her offers, the way she walks to class disheartened but when she sees the setter, she instantly lights up at the sight.
Seeing her cry that day was enough for him to keep a distance.
How can he even comfort her? The moment she turned her back to Kageyama, she had a hopeless smile on her lips, tears continuously rolling down her puffy cheeks. He could see the way she collapsed that way. How the queen finally let go of her duties from the king.
-
Kageyama laid on his bed with earphones in, hands to his chest focused on the melodies. It was ironic how he wanted to badly catch up on what he's lost. He was badly trying to find the trail back to you but he was unfortunate. It seemed like he was the one that changed everyone's destination.
The moment she stepped in the gym, so bewildered at the different personalities they had. Hinata was the first one to approach her, asking her questions about their "friendship." The following months went by and Hinata found comfort in her and so did the rest of the team, favoring her for her endless support, always hearing her cheers at each game. After every match, she'd always encourage the others, being the brightest sun to cast upon the team who was discouraged.
Yet he found this unnecessary?
He bites his lip at his old thought. He hated himself for thinking how useless of a habit that was for you. He believed that Daichi was enough to lift up the spirits of his teammates so the team really didn't need you. It's opposite for the others though. They truly appreciated each of your compliments, each pat on the shoulder or head. Even if you wanted to do the same for him, he'd always walk away before you could even reach him. Hinata and Yamaguchi would always try to make you forget how harsh the boy was.
He lets his eyes close for a while. For a second, he was at peace but then words started resurfacing.
"How could you just walk away?"
He tries to ignore the tone of her voice, trying to drown it out by increasing the volume, but his heart was panicking at the memory. Even if he tightly shuts his eyes, all he can imagine was the sight of the last time he saw her. He wanted to sit up, to avoid the anxiousness that was crawling under his skin, but his back remained on the bed, struggling to escape the encounter.
"Is it that easy to forget me?"
Y/N.
(TW! Anxiety attack. Do not proceed if this makes you uncomfortable)
He calls out to her like a whisper, clutching his pillow as he stares wide eyed at the ceiling. He feels the room swirl around him, the walls caving on him as every insult and memory came to him. He sits up and desperately tries to walk but he collapses on the floor, hands quickly reaching the hem of his shirt bringing it over his shoulders. Panting incredibly with his sweat covering his forehead as he tried to calm himself down but each second he was reminded of a moment in his life he could never change.
"Hey..Kageyama it's okay." Y/N tries to reach for his shoulder but he harshly grabs a hold of her hand, gripping it tightly in his as he stares her down with his dark eyes, locking on her terrified ones.
"We fucking lost! To Aoba! To Oikawa! How can you act like this when we lost?!" Kageyama shouts at her and she winces at the volume but she lets her other hand rest on top of his, trying to make sure her eye contact reminded him that everything was going to be okay.
"Tobio- Karasuno will come back and win again.. You have to trust that everything isn't set in stone. Failure-"
"FAILURE? I don't have any fucking time for more failures Y/N! You simply don't know what that feels cause all you've been doing is tagging along and being useless." He spat and you felt your smile crumble at his words. He removes your hands from his as he frustratedly runs his hands to his hair, feeling as if pins went through his hands, blaming it for their loss.
"Kageyama..you don't m-mean that. Stop. I know you're angry-"
"I'm disappointed Y/N for fucks sake! I could've done better! We could've won if I didn't slip up. Stop acting like you can fucking solve everything and leave!" She takes a step forward to him as he extends out a hand, blocking her from moving any further. The gesture completely draining the life out of her, her heart growing more and more in her chest, the admiration for the boy trying to erase his negativity.
"K-kageyama-"
"Fuck Y/N! Can't I have a day without you talking to me? Or even being around me? I don't need you. The team doesn't need you. No one else does.. so please just leave already."
He stares at her for a while before rushing off, annoyance and pride feeding his heart and mind. She sees him getting more and more distant as she lets her last smile fall on her lips. All the love and joy was erased from her heart, feeling how shallow and dark the atmosphere was inside it. It began to feel like every heartbeat was slowing down as her tears painted her a trail as she walked. The tears continuously flooded her cheeks as every function of her body was weakening with every action.
She feels the tension that there was in the bus, while she was stuck in the corner, silent.
Silent but the Kings poison consumed her.
Happy birthday to me then. She thinks bitterly.
She looks at the scenery beside her, appealing dull. She allows her heart to cry at the sharp pieces that went through it, as if it was like a balloon being popped or like the light from a fire was blown out.
There was a certain part of her that died that day. She wonders if it was her entirely, or just her ability to feel anything apart from the harsh reality. It was the mere feeling of hearing him say the exact opposite of the words you were badly used to. As the person who he counted on even back at Kitagawa, you should've believed it. But every word he threw were all words that should've never been brought to light. You were back to zero to say the least, back at the darkest corner of your mind. Touching in with your negative emotions drowning you with every replay of of his words.
Then she glances at him.
She lets her eyes linger on him for the last time before she sighs, hands forming a ball, nails digging through her skin.
I don't know you anymore.
Kageyama opens his eyes slowly, hands reaching for his phone as he dials a forgotten number. He was panting furiously, desperate to hear the sound of your voice he was late to miss. He dreaded the silence the surrounded him, he wished the silence would be killed by your voice, assuring him that all was forgiven and you were ready to come back to him so he can apologize for everything he's done.
On the other end of the line, you sighed sadly. You the see way your phone lit up the dark room, seeing a name you've yet to see in months. You carefully place the phone in your hands, trying to find the feeling in your chest when he was around. The feeling of excitement to see or hear him has vanished yet you wished that you had the ability to feel for him again.
Love has faded, no evidence, not even a trace.
So you put the phone down, done waiting to be found.
Kageyama hears the way the sound of the phone stopped, seeing his wallpaper flash in front of him. He lets the tears fall from his eyes as he calls out to you one more time, even if you broke your promise, still holding on to it but there wasn't a chance for him anymore.
And the queen left the kingdom, leaving the king to rule by himself.

Love Is You - chapter 8
A/n: This is one of the heaviest chapters i have written for this fanfic so it took couple of days to edit all over again.
Tw: suicidal thoughts
Tumblr media
Scarlett went to Remus's room for dinner as she promised him last night. They were close friends since their Hogwarts years and the friendship continued since back then. At one point or two when all 3 of them were drunk, it might have gotten a little bit further than a friendship but none of them talks about that.
"Welcome Scar, i was waiting for you." He smiled and hugged her.
"Sorry i am late. I went to London today, needed to do some stuff. They took more time than i expectedt."
"It's totally fine. Take a seat and tell me about your day." Remus served some food for themselves and sat down.
"First i went to the ministry, needed to talk to the minister. Because yesterday the new deputy minister came here to meet me and it was very awkward. Then i went to my house to check the stuff i need there, i will be moving there around Christmas. And lastly i stopped by at my parents’ house. What about you?"
"Nothing new, just lessons. Why was the meeting awkward?"
"Everything was off with him. The way he talks, the way he looks at me..." she grimaced her face. "Also he is not from the ministry, i never heard of him before but weirdly he looks familiar. Dorian said he came from France."
"What did he do to you?" Remus asked in concern.
She sighed. "He said: " you are pretty, what a shame that you have been cheated on..."
"Stupid arsehole. That's very rude and none of his business." He rubbed Scarlett's arm softly. “I can beat him up for you.” Remus joked to change the mood.
"He is not worth to spend your energy, fucker...Anyway, I couldn't ask Carina but... How is he, Sirius...?"
Remus sighed softly. "You know him, he is miserable without you... He has been drinking and smoking for Merlin knows how long…"
"Take care of him Remus, please... I have Carina with me but he is all alone…" her eyes filled with tears when she thought about him. Even though she was still angry with him; Scarlett has missed Sirius so much, all she wanted to do was be with him in their home.
"I will, promise." He held her hand reassuringly.
"I… i need to go Remus, i am sorry but i..." She stuttered while standing up from the chair.
"Scarlett where to? What’s going on?" Remus was confused at her sudden reaction.
"I need to see him." And she apparated the next second before he could say anything or stop her.
Remus stood there awkwardly after her apparation; he wasn't sure what to do but then he decided not to go after her. He knew Scarlett had a soft spot for Sirius and nothing would stop her from seeing him when she wanted.
Scarlett found herself in front of their family house's door. She was controlled by her heart right now and her brain wasn't willing to correspond with her at all. She was aware that she would regret this decision the very next day but she couldn't stop herself and knocked on the door. He didn’t answer immediately so she knocked harder this time. Maybe she should have taken this as a sign. But then she heard footsteps getting closer to the door and there he was.
"Scarlett...!?" Sirius couldn't believe his eyes. He hasn't drank that much tonight to see an illusion. "Am i having a dream?"
"I guess not..."
"Come in, it is cold outside and you are just wearing a dress."
Scarlett walked in and looked around. She was expecting a mess but clearly Remus and Carina did a good job here. She did pet the dogs for awhile since they have missed their mummy a lot. Then they headed to the living room and sat down on the sofa in silence for couple of minutes until Sirius broke it down.
"My love..."
Sirius held her hand which she was scratching, it was ice cold. He took it to his lips and kissed it then put it on his cheek, leaned into it. She rubbed his cheek with her thumb softly and looked at him. He was her happiest memories and the worst memory at the same time. Scarlett was still loving him, how couldn't she? It wasn’t easy to erase him from her life, he has always been there. But also she was really upset with him, he broke her heart so bad that it's impossible to heal. Her heart and her brain were fighting to take the control. She was at an in-between stage, but her heart won the fight when she decided to hug Sirius. When he hugged her back, she broke down the tears that she was holding. It was so overwhelming for both. He couldn't hold back his tears either and the ex-couple cried together.
"I missed you Sirius... I missed us..."
"Me too baby. It is pointless to live without you by my side."
She looked at him with a serious look on her face. "Promise me you won't do anything to yourself! You did it once and this time i can't recover from it..."
"Promise, anything for you..." he kissed her hair and inhaled her rose scent. He would do anything to stay in this moment.
"I wish we had one more kiss..." Scarlett mumbled and leaned into him slowly. Sirius was impatient and kissed her red lips longingly. The kiss felt intoxicating.
"Scar, i love you baby... You are my one and only." he pulled her body closer to his, he wanted to feel her all over him. Scarlett was playing with his curls that she loved so much while kissing him back passionately. Their emotions took over everything and they were both lost in the kiss until they heard a knock on the door. She pulled away immediately as it was a waking up call for her.
"Were you waiting someone?"
He shook his head. "No. Maybe Carina came to look for you?"
"She doesn't know i am here, i was with Remus. Maybe him?"
"Then forget about it, i don't wanna leave your embrace." Sirius kissed her again but the knocking continued and the dogs kept barking at it. Scarlett sighed and got up to answer the door. When she opened the door, there wasn't Remus but Arabelle.
"Ah Miss Rose? I wasn't expecting to see you here. Is Sirius he-. Ah here he is!" An evil grin appeared on her lips.
Sirius has heard her high-pitched voice and came to see what’s going on. "What are you doing here!? I said i don't wanna see you ever again! Leave now!"
"I've just came here to check on you and maybe relax you little bit, you know how." She winked at him and continued. "But i see you are busy with your fragile rose, unfortunately, I wonder when she will wilt... If you need me just write and I will be on your service, byeee!" And she disappeared into the darkness of the night knowing very well that she caused a scene.
Scarlett was standing by the door like a sad ghost, her face was full of disappointment and sorrow.
"Scarlett love, i had no idea. I have never seen her after i fired her, i swear..." he tried to hold her but she took a step back away from him.
"I shouldn't have come here, i made a fool of myself..." tears were running down on her checks.
Sirius fell on his knees in front of her. "Believe me Scarlett, i swear on my life i have nothing to do with her! She is playing a game with us, i don't know what exactly! But believe me baby please...I love you and only you."
"I wish i could believe you..." She apparated and left him there all alone crying.
Scarlett was so frustrated and overwhelmed after what happened. She didn't want to go inside the castle while she was in this mood because Carina would question her, so she decided to go for a walk on the wooden bridge of Hogwarts. She has never liked it though, she was scared of heights and also bridges but tonight she wasn't feeling any fear or the freezing cold of the November night. All the moments she had with Arabelle and the things she said to her were running through her mind nonstop; especially “when the fragile rose will wilt”. She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice what she was doing until she saw the cliff underneath her. Now she was standing the other side of the safety fences, she had no idea how she has managed to do it. But even in that moment she didn't feel any fear. It felt like she was a puppet and controlled by someone else. She looked up at the sky, it was so dark that stars were shining perfectly but the one caught her eye the most: Sirius.
~
"Whenever we are not together, just look up the sky and i will be there for you Scarlett. I will never leave you all alone and I will be your light."
~
She looked down at the cliff once again. What if she took one more step? Would everything be fine? She removed one foot from the edge to the air, her skirt was dancing with the wind like it was calling her.
"SCARLETT! NO!"
The terrified voice echoed in the night and then running sounds followed it. It was none other than Severus Snape. He was picking some flowers that only blooms in the night for his potions then he noticed the red hair up in the bridge under the moon light. He has never felt that much scared in his whole life.
His voice has brought Scarlett back to reality, it felt like the dream-like curtain was removed from her eyes and now she was aware of what’s she doing and  she was scared truly. She was losing the feeling of her hands cause of the cold and she wasn't sure how long she could hold onto the fences and her shaking body wasn’t a help at all. But luckily Severus wasn’t so far away and he has rushed to her in an inhuman pace.
"I will help you, just hold onto me and i will pick you up. Scarlett listen to me." He was out of breath and adrenaline was running through his body.
"I cannot… İ am scared..." She whispered silently.
"You need to trust me. Turn your body to me slowly, I am holding you. And I will pick you up when you do it. I am here, nothing will happen to you."
She slowly did what he said and then wrapped her arms around his neck while he was picking her up and carrying her back to the other side of the fences carefully. Her whole body was shaking, and she collapsed on the ground with him.
"You are fine, you are fine Scarlett."
Severus was trying to calm her down but he was not any different than her. His heart was pacing so fast like it was going to rip his chest out. But he wrapped his head around the situation as quickly as possible and took his coat off to wrap it around her then he picked her up to carry inside. Scarlett was in a total shock and couldn't find herself to say or do anything. She just closed her eyes while snuggling into him.
Severus carried Scarlett to his room and sat her down on the bed. Scarlett sat there with empty eyes, she couldn’t wrap her head around the situation at all yet. Severus stood in front of her for a while, he felt like she might vanish if he looks away. When he was sure everything is fine then he decided to light up the fireplace to warm up the cold room.
"Could you let Remus know that i am here?" Scarlett mumbled, she was just starting to feel herself again and finally spoke.
He nodded while brewing some hot tea for her. "You stay here, drink your tea and i will be right back." Severus wasn’t happy about leaving her alone but he wanted to do what she asked for.
Couple of minutes later he was back with Remus. Their bickering was heard before they showed up.
"Scarlett! What happened? Are you okay?" Remus run towards her worriedly. He couldn’t believe his ears when Severus told about the incident. 1 hour ago she was looking fine and he had no idea what happened with Sirius and she became that bad.
She shook her head as no. "Make up a lie for Carina please, i don't want her to see me like that..."
"Okay whatever you want but stay with me tonight. Come."
"I can take care of her better, Lupin." Severus stood between two of them stopping Remus from holding her.
"Don't try to take an advantage of the situation Severus."
"Remus don't, please..." Scarlett was begging, she couldn’t take an argument between them right now.
Remus sighed and rubbed her back. "I will write Carina that we are going to London and stay there tonight. She would believe it since i don't have any classes tomorrow. Okay?"
"Thank you, Remus."
"Let me know if you need anything anytime." He glanced at Severus one more time before left.
After Remus left the room, Severus sat down next to her on the bed.
"Did you warm up a bit?"
She nodded slowly. "If you weren't there tonight...I w-"
"Don't say it."  Severus wouldn't be able to forget that night till the day he dies. Once again, he realized how much he loves her and can't lose her.
"I am stupid, so stupid!" Scarlett talked to herself. When she thought about the night, she couldn't believe herself. She was really about to jump from the cliff.
"Don't wrong yourself, you are not a stupid woman."
"I went to see Sirius tonight then Arabelle showed up and i found myself edge of the cliff. If those things weren't stupid, then what?" She cried helplessly. "I don't know what am i doing or feeling... I am so lost."
"You need some time to heal, everything will be fine."
"Promise...?"
"I promise. If i am wrong, i will let you dye my hair pink."
A tiny smile formed on her lips. "You must be pretty sure then."
"I am." He smiled. "I will give you a potion, it will help you to relax."
"Okay. My whole body is aching..."
"Here, drink this." Severus did accio a potion bottle and handed it to Scarlett.
She did drink the colourless potion he gave but she grimaced her face because it tasted very bitter.
"Want some water?"
She shook her head and stared at the fire for a while blankly. "I was about to kill myself... for real..." Scarlett whispered.
"Scarlett look at me."
Her watery green eyes met with his black ones. Her eyes were like a forest that he got lost in them for a while then remembered to talk. "You are going through a hard time but you are a strong woman Scarlett, I know that. You just need to gain your power back then everything will be fine again. You will make a fresh start. And you are not alone in this. Your kids, parents, friends are here to help you anytime. You need to accept the situation and keep going for better."
She wiped her tears away with her shaky hands. He always found a way to comfort her and made her believe that everything's going to be alright.
"Thank you Sev." She looked into his eyes deeply. "Thank you for everything."
He smiled softly and patted her hand. "You should rest now. You sleep here in the bed and i will sleep on the chair."
"We can share the bed, i don't want you to sleep on the chair because of me. It is not like we never slept in the same bed before..."
Severus’s cheeks tinted with red a little bit. "If you are fine with that, okay..."
Scarlett nodded while taking her shoes off. Severus got his pyjamas and went to the bathroom to change his clothes in the meantime. When he was back, Scarlett was already in the bed with her eyes closed. He smiled at his view before turned the lights off.
"Good night..." she mumbled sleepily.
"Good night Scarlett."
He laid down and looked at her small body that laying next to him. After the end of their relationship, he didn't have anyone in his bed. And tonight there she was again, after 30 years. The bed was never warm enough without her. His eyes closed slowly while he was thinking about the past.

MACK clutched her head in her hands, her back resting sharply against the car wheel as her chest rose and fell rapidly, her lungs struggling to keep up with her breaths. Tears streaked down her face like paint and her eyes were swollen with fear as she stared down at his body.
Ben's head rested sickeningly in a pool of deep crimson, his eyes frozen open like a deer in headlights, unblinking and unflinching. His nose was bloodied, his clothes scuffed and ripped and his chest looked nauseatingly con-caved. Mack chocked backed sob, covering her mouth with her hand. The more she stared at him, the more the reality sunk in.
She killed someone.
She killed him.
Someone she new, someone she once loved. She killed him. Someone who was worshiped at her school, someone whose name was on every certificate, every trophy. Someone who new her mum, her dad her sister.
A demented scream ripped from her throat like a banshee, her vocals straining to make a sound that sinister and that piercing. She kept going. Her world collapsed, crumbling like sand around her until only grit remained. She would go to jail. She would be sentenced to death. She would have to leave her dad. She would have to leave Kai. Mack's thoughts swooped through her like vultures, praying off her emotions like they were merely insignificant worms or insects.
The tainted sound stopped at the feeling of warm breath tickling against her ear. Welcomed hands on her shoulders. Comforting words whispered by a soothing voice.
"Shhh. Shh. Sweetheart, I need you to listen to me." Kai cooed gently, tucking some hair behind Mack's ear and tilting her head to face him with his finger and thumb on her chin. "No one is going to find out, okay? Just - just do exactly as I say." Kai's blue eyes were so calming, soft okie the ocean - blue and dazzling with sparks of hope like the theory of salt that littered wave tops and swells. "Can you do that for me, sweetheart?" He persisted and Mack managed a nod. "Good."
Kai stood up again, moving from his crouched position in front of Mack and over to where Ben's body menacingly taunted him. Kai scrunch up his nose, gathering saliva at the back of his throat before spitting over Ben. He hoisted the boy's body up, as arm under each armpit as he dragged Ben into the tree line that outlined the small road like thick, black marker in a child's painting. Setting his body down at the bottom of a tree, Kai sprinted over to his car, opening the door and flinging the glove box open.
He rummaged through it, tossing unwanted items on the seat like a scene out of a movie. That was until he came across what he wanted.
A small teddy-bear. Small enough to fit in the palm of Kai's hand; stuffing bursting through the seams, button eyes clinging on by strangled, old threads and ears half ripped off. He enclosed his hands around it, eyes rolling back and a small groan passing his lips as the glow emitted an orange hue. A warmth spread throughout him, filling his veins like a drug. Kai missed this feeling, the feeling of magic running through him. The adrenaline was heavy now, coursing through him just like the magic and aiding him as he ran back to Ben as fast as he could.
He bent down beside the body, arms held out and palms hovering over the torso and he muttered incantations and Latin phrases.
Scatters of ash floated upwards as spread densely to the sides, flaking off like tissue paper. The embers scorned the sides, titian hues edging them and creating a malevolent glow around them. When the ash cleared and the air thinned, clearing of magic, only an empty spot of grass that boarded the broad roots of the tree remained, all evidence of Ben's body disintegrated and nestling into the forest floor like any other leaf or decaying plant.
An abrupt grunt brought Kai back to present, making his head turn suddenly in the direction of Mack.
"Kenz?" He asked tentatively, but was merely met with another grunt, "Kenz, you're really scaring me." Kai said as he made his was round the car until he was face to face with her.
Then the screaming started. Mack collapsed to the floor from where she'd managed to stand to, her leg snapping in an unnatural manner. Then she jerked to the left, another scream ripping from her throat menacingly as her bones seemed to crack and break - her body distorting into a creature. Kai's head tilted to look at the moon, hanging mockingly, a full, bright, Pearl-white circle in the dark, spotted sky.
A sharp gasp pierced through the air, Kai's breath turning into a small cloud of icy white. It was a full moon. He looked back to make quickly, her form now hunted over, resting on all fours with her head dipped.
Mack's head rose from where it's been bowed, her eyes glowing with an intense fusion of gold, pain and fury. Her top lip pulled back threateningly, unveiling a pair of fangs which protruded uncomfortably over her bottom lip like small knives. All trace of Mack was gone, besides her hair and torn-up, blood-splattered clothes. A feral growl tore from her and Kai's eyes widened, his mind finally processing the situation in full.
And that's when he ran.
Kai ran, fast. As fast as he could; along the tarmac road, his converse crunching against the gravel grossly as he sprinted back to his Jeep. Looking back, Mack no longer chased him. No. It wasn't Mack - it was a monster. It's fur ran silky over its skin, dark silvers mixed with blacks, whites and yellowy-browns, it's eyes burned gold and it's ears stood to attention in the bitter wind whipping around them. It's paws were huge - as big as Kai's feet, maybe even bigger, and it's tail was a swooshing sweep of death behind it. Kai swallowed thickly, his hand resting on the door-handle now, tugging desperately and flinging the car open wide.
He clambered in, slamming the door just in time as the wolf scraped its claws down the side of the door. Kai winced at the screeching sound, cringing at the thought of the huge scratches that would be there now. He desperately tried turning his keys in the ignition but it cut short. He tried again and again, the sound of her clawing at his door making the desperation grow stronger.
After a short while Kai gave up, slumping into his seat and burying his face him his hands and hoping that she'd soon leave.
Mack didn't. She remained relentless, scratching and scraping at his car all night long. Kai can't remember when, but at some point he must've fallen asleep, as the whole world went black and all nosies were drained out.
...
The pale sun peaked over the trees, illuminating the dark road with a creamy-white light that shone over the sticky tarmac and leaves and grass glistened with the morning frost. Kai sat up slowly in his seat, groaning at his aching body and slowly peering out the window. Nothing was there. She had gone.
He slowly opened his car door, climbing out the black jeep and wincing at the damage done to his vehicle.
Long, jagged lines of scratchy sliver-grey were clawed down the doors, over the bonnet and the windows were scattered in lines of blue where the panes had been scraped. As he wandered around the car, Kai stopped in his tacks upon seeing Mack sprawled out over the floor, her shaking, naked frame shivering in the frosted grass. He rushed over to her, grounding slowly beside the girl and quickly shedding his coat. He spread it over her, pulling Mack's head into his lap for a moment and stroking her hair calmingly. When she didn't stir, he gently collected her into his arms, walking cautiously over to his car and placing her in the back seat. He looked at her, sighing as pressing a quick kiss to her forehead.
While he drove back to Mack's house, Kai's divers gripped the steering wheel tightly and his thoughts spiralled. Could he ever look at her the same? Of course he could, she was his best friend, his... well, friend. The girl he lo-
What? He didn't love her. No. He just cared deeply for her, felt hurt when she was hurt, wanted to cry when she cried, felt immense joy when she was happy, could barely stand to spend more than a few hours away from her, not touching her, not kissing her-
Holy shit. He loved her. He was in love with his best friend, his fuck buddy. Kai's mind was sent into overdrive, his senses buzzing off adrenaline, but they were soon interrupted by a low groan from the backseat. He looked back slightly, keeping one eye trained on the road ahead of them.
"Rise and shine, sweet cheeks." He quipped cheerfully, smirking as Amelie sat up, the coat falling from her chest and giving Kai a perfect view of her breasts from the rear-view mirror. He whistled and she frowned. "Fuck, you have nice tits." Kai grinned and Mack's eyes widened. She instantly reached for the coat, pulling it up over her chest and holding it there with one hand.
"Kai!" She exclaimed as he started to laugh.
"It's nothing I haven't seen before, sweetheart. And it definitely isn't something I wouldn't mind seeing again." He mentioned with a wink and she scowled at him. Then her eyes finally caught onto the scratches and scraped littering her shoulders, her legs, her feet, her hands. She gasped, holding her arms out in front of herself and examining her hands. The coat dropped again and Kai went back to his marvelling. Mack soon realised, pulling it over herself again.
"Stop doing that!" She said and Kai chuckled.
"I'm not doing anything, sweetheart. You can't blame your own...clumsiness on my intuition to see you naked." He smirk and she stuck her tongue out at him. "I'd be careful if I were you, babe, or I might get you to put the tongue to a better use." He winked and she gasped again, slumping back into the seats and crossing her arms over her chest.
They pulled into her drive, Kai stopping the car and walking round to Mack's door. He opened it, scooping the girl into his arms and kicking it shit with his foot.
"Kai!" She screamed, giggling as he walked with her in his arms. "Put me down!" She demanded, hitting his chest with her fists and kicking her legs.
"And let your dad think I'm less than the gentleman I made myself out to be last night? Nuh uh, babe." He quipped and Mack huffed, settling into his arms and he blindly opened the door to her house.
"You're back." Ian sighed, standing swiftly from the couch and crossing over to Kai, patting him on the shoulder and thanking him. "You're a good kid, thank you so much for helping us." He said in Kai's ear as the boy let Mack down and she scrambled off to her room. Ian sighed again, sitting down on the sofa and patting the spot beside him.
Kai tentatively sat beside him, kindly refusing when Ian offered him a beer, saying it was too early. They sat back against the cushions, a silence filled with awkward tension settling over them.
"Look, I'm guessing you saw...her." Ian started, gesturing towards where Mack had scurried off to.
"Yeah." Kai said bluntly.
"And you're still here?" Ian prompted and Kai nodded.
"I'm not exactly...human, myself." Kai admitted and Ian's brow raised.
"You're a wolf?" He asked and Kai shook his head with an amused smile. "There's other supernatural creatures?" Ian pressed and Kai smiled.
"Yes, I am a siphon." Ian pulled a confused face, "I'm a witch that doesn't have any powers of their own - I can only draw from other magical beings." Kai explained and Ian nodded slowly.
"Hey, Kai, do you wanna maybe go out? I need some fresh air." Mack called, rounding the corner and walking into the living room, now clad in some jeans and one of Kai's sweaters. He grinned at her, pleased to see her earring his clothes.
"Sure, Kenz. Do you want to start up my car? I'll meet you out there." He suggested and she plodded off. After the sound of the door slamming reached their ears Ian turned to Kai once again.
"If you plan on hurting my daughter in any way, I will kill you." He whispered and Kai smiled. "Got it?"
"Not like you'd stand much a chance.." Kai mused. "But yes, I understand and I have no intention of letting anyone or anything hurt Kenz. I promise." Kai replied and Ian smiled.
"Now go, have fun, keep my daughter happy!"

—————
"Keiji, it's getting dark. Why not come inside for the night?"
The sun was just over the horizon, the moon coming up to replace it. It's bright—the orange and pink colors. The image is burned into young Akaashi's memory when he looks over. He waves at his mother with a nod before passing the volleyball back to his friends and running over. The scrapes on his palm sting and the bruises on his legs hurt a little, but he doesn't mind the sensation. It feels like freedom—even if he doesn't really understand the full meaning of the moon. This is what he imagines it feels like.
Games to be played with friends and laughter. If this is what life holds then he is more than willing to live it. His naivety holds firm when he grabs his mother hand at the door, being pulled into a brisk hug. She laughs and pats his hair and he thinks it's the kindest gesture in the world. He snuggles closer before pulling away to see dinner on the table. His mother locks up, looking quietly into the city with concerned eyes. She wasn't going to let anyone hurt him, the smile that she cherishes wasn't going to fade as long as she could help it. She turns with a smile, passing him a plastic fork before listening to the adventures Akaashi had gone on that day.
Childhood seems so far now.
———
If you were to tell Akaashi's five year old self that seventeen years later everything he thought about freedom and life was a lie and he would become a detective who took away other's freedom, he'd probably laugh and then cry and cry some more. If you were to tell him that his mother would die so he'd have to be raised by his aunt at the age of thirteen, he'd probably punch you in face in attempt to break your nose—and if you then told him that's the reason he became a detective and went through five grueling years of internships and having to learn how to stomach crime scenes in the first place, he'd make sure to add a swift kick to the shin with it. Even at twenty, if someone—anyone—would have told him that he'd never get sleep again because of the things he'd see day to day, eventually becoming desensitized, but still having nightmares that kept him up all hours of the night—well, he'd probably just brush it off because he thought he'd be different.
News flash: he's not different.
In attempt to rub sleep from his eyes (ironic considering he got maybe an hour), Akaashi yawns, triggering a chain reaction from his assistant. The city is bustling with talk of the latest murder—a social media personality. Twitter is blowing up with the hashtags 'rip' and 'always & forever.' Yet, hardly any of the people tweeting and saying things like: 'always in our hearts, never forget,' didn't know her personally. They knew the internet version of her, the side she showed to the world and not the side she was personally. To the world she is known as an idol—a hero to some.
But everyone has their dark secrets.
The car stops along the house's pavement, the driveway a large circle with a statue in the middle. His first thought is someone was in it for the money, maybe a robbery gone wrong. Stepping out the car, he snaps on some gloves and looks around before being handle the case file from an officer on duty, being caught up to speed.
The house is pristine except for the blood that has dried up on the tiled floor. It's a stark contrast from all the white and gold. Minimalist; he notes. Akaashi skims the file before looking at the body and watching it get zipped up into a black bag before being carried away. All that's left is half an outline and some splatter across the floor.
He pinches the bridge of his nose. Just what he needs—more nightmare fuel. But a job is a job no matter how tired he is.
"Alright, let's start at the entrances. Check the windows and doors."
———
Red. Why is there so much red? Whose breathing is that? And why is it so loud?
Your eyes finally focus on the hand outstretched in front of you, widening at the sight. A silent scream escapes past your lips and shakes your body, making you stumble backwards. The shaking hand blocks the view, forcing your eyes away from the scene. The thumping of your heart and blood in your eyes is so deafening that it makes you lightheaded. You felt sick. You were going to vomit, pushing down a gag and covering your mouth.
You look at your hands, willing them to stop shaking in tight fists before looking at the body below you. Blonde hair dyed red from the puddle. A sob wracks through you.
Heaving a heavy breath you weren't aware you were holding and gripping your phone tightly, you dial the police. Your voice shakes when speaking:
"H-help, please. She's dead! "
———
Akaashi rubs at his temple in attempt to soothe an oncoming headache, the dim yellow light at his desk straining his eyes. He looks at the file, nibbling on his lip in irritation. The pictures of the scene and the overall file and personal file just swarms his head with mixed up information and he honestly isn't sure where to start. With a soft sigh he leans back into his seat, crossing his arms over his chest.
The case is gruesome, a red massacre. Victim was stabbed six times in the abdominal, close to gutted even, but the blunt truama to her head shows she was dead before hitting floor. The door hadn't been broken in, the wood and hinges still in place like they hadn't been shaken—perhaps she let them in. The window had been forced open from the inside, the paint that previously sealed it being chipped aggressively against the pane. It could've been some loopy stalker, but the more he looks at the case it's less likely.
His head hurts and he can't focus and it's getting late.
He begins to nipple of his thumb nail, bringing it up to his lips in deep thought. The red strings in his brain trying to connect the dots sooner than it's actually possible. He's smart, but not that smart. His eyes slowly shift to the post-it note beside the biege file, a number scribbled down messily. They had sent you home with an officer to calm down from the shock. It had been about two days now as they waited for the autopsies and inspected, but time was running short and he needed your statement before the case runs cold and slips through his fingers. He'd have to interrogate you, ask you to speak on behalf of your friend. It seems you would know the most about her and her true identity as her emergency contact. Maybe‐ hopefully, you'd help provide answers.
But he hates this part. The part where he has to call traumatized homicide victims and witnesses. He doesn't do well at comforting people, especially when he's the type to cut straight to the point. He doesn't know how to stop someone from crying (because someone always does) and he can never stop himself from saying the wrong thing at the wrong time. He's blunt and yet, he's like a double edged sword. And he knows what they feel because he's been there and he sees it every day, even if he wasn't involved directly. If it haunts him at night, then it must taunt them all day. It's a hard push to get over, and even then the wounds never really heal. Suppose that's why Akaashi keeps pushing to solve cases, even cold ones, because he knows how it feels to be hopeless with a dark mentality. Nothing else matters until the killer is at the mercy of law.
He goes back to gnawing on his abused bottom lip, leaning forward to grab the black office phone before dialing the number. He lets it ring, twice before he hears the line click and a soft, weak 'hello?' He clears his throat, picking up his pen to write down anything he may need. This isn't his first rodeo, afterall.
"Hello, is this l/n y/n? Yes, this is the detective on case. Would you mind coming in to answer a few questions about your friend, Michiko?"

You're Jareth's betrothed. A masquerade is held on the eve of your wedding, but a jealous Fae woman poisons you with sleeping potion. You collapse in Jareth's arms & the woman's arrested, taunting him. If he can't find the cure before the stroke of 13 on the 13th day, you'll die. He goes nearly mad slaving over books & traveling everywhere, desperate to save you. On the last day, he finds the cure & you wake up confused, but Jareth's so relieved he holds you tight & cries into your shoulder.
Jareth X Reader –Slipping Away
A/N – Fun fact, Sluagh are part of Irish folklore, I didn’t make them up. They’re the spirits of the restless dead, sometimes viewed as fae with no loyalty, reason or mercy, doomed to wander the Earth in hordes.
Warnings – None.

Extravagance. It was the only word that could be used to describe the tremendous scene before you. The once crumbling pillars of an ancient temple now supported growths of creeping plants. Without a roof, the moon bathed everyone in its peaceful beams, illuminating the iridescently divine forms of fae dancers, celebrating your wedding to Jareth; unlike human weddings, the fae celebrated beforehand, claiming the wedding night was intended only for the newlyweds.
You stood at what would have been the entrance in a time long past, taking steadying breaths and trying to remember your exact instructions from Jareth’s previous tutoring. The fae had a very complex social hierarchy which you had to adhere to if they were to accept you as the future spouse to their king. You stood at the start of a long glistening silver carpet that led to two thrones, one for Jareth and the other for you. On the carpet were woven depictions of black and gold blooms. Your job was to step only on the tiny golden blooms which represented a fortuitous life; stepping on the black blooms would supposedly condemn your marriage to the evil spirits of the Sluagh, souls of the sinful humans trapped between the borders of the fae and human realm.
After the walk down the aisle or rather the ‘Dance of Blossoms,’ as the fae called it, you were to wait in front of your throne for Jareth to stand with you, signalling you were worthy of his attention, then a drink of Vinum Aeternum would be brought forward in two heavy silver chalices. You and Jareth would have your hands bound in golden silk and you would feed Jareth his drink first without spilling a drop, then he yours. After that, the two of you would finally be able to sit or take part in the festivities at your leisure.
The whole affair seemed far too complicated to you, but it was imperative you succeeded, otherwise the wedding would not proceed. Naturally, you’d practiced for this moment, but the practice had never been a complete success. From your left, a delicate bell rang and though you weren’t sure how the entire temple heard it, they all stopped, forming two perfectly straight lines on either side of the carpet to watch you complete the ‘Dance of Blossoms.’
Feeling nauseated, you began your journey, wobbling several times, though you regained your balance as you forged on, no doubt ungraceful in comparison to the fae of the past who had completed the journey. You ignored the hawk-like eyes of the spectators, some of whom looked like they wanted you to fail their king; instead, you found solace in Jareth’s unwavering gaze as you made your way to him.
Finally, you made it to the end of the aisle, where you dropped to your knees for Jareth’s inspection. He rose dramatically, circling you gracefully as was his role. Gently, he grasped your forearms, pulling you to your feet and ‘accepting’ you for the kingdom to see.
“You did well,” He whispered so nobody else would hear.
Although the praise itself was small, it emboldened you, quelling your previous fears. Neither of you said anything else as your hands were bound in their silk manacles by the high priestess. Taking a step back, the priestess waited for another fae woman to step forward, delivering the wine. As she poured the drinks you held back a gasp for it looked like liquid starlight.
Passing you your chalice, the fae waited whilst you held it to Jareth’s lips with shaking hands; it was much heavier than the ones you’d used in practice. Through the sheer intensity of his gaze, Jareth willed you to be okay until he had sipped the last of his wine. You set your chalice down on a tray the server held and waited in trepidation for Jareth’s turn. Jareth’s lips quirked up in a small smile, just another tiny sign that he was eager to be wedded. You found it funny how such a small action could speak volumes of his personality, for it wasn’t that long ago that you couldn’t decipher him at all; it seemed that everything the fae did was either a huge explosion over a small emotion or the smallest of reactions to their more intense feelings.
Gracefully, Jareth took the chalice that was presented to him, holding it up for you to sip. The second the liquid met your lips, you knew something was wrong. You didn’t know what the wine was supposed to taste like, but the acrid flavour that met your tongue was all wrong, and everything in your body knew it. With a pained cry, you fell backwards, losing consciousness.
Jareth dropped his goblet, moving with inhuman speed to catch you, even with his bound hands. Using his magic, he freed himself of the ties and, reaching out with his mind, he summoned the court healer. The healer appeared in less than a second, suspending you in the air so you were levitating at her waist height. Every time Jareth tried to ask what he could do, she shushed him and waved him away, even as the crowd watched on.
While the fae healer set about using the arcane arts, Jareth turned to the onlookers with such fury, the very ground shook.
“WHO DID THIS?!” He demanded, using gales of wind to carry his words across the entire Underground, distorting it to sound like that of a Wraith or some equally disturbing beast. He needn’t have shouted so far for there was only one smiling face amidst a sea of grim and fearful expressions.
Jareth pointed accusingly at a hag, not at all beautiful like the other fae. It was clearly a guise and one used only to show contempt or disrespect. Although it was well within Jareth’s power to strip the hag of her guise, he offered her one chance; it was not an act of mercy, but of power, aimed to show that he was in command. “SHOW YOUR TRUE FORM FOUL CREATURE, SO I MAY PUNISH THE REAL YOU.”
Despite her old, leathery face, the hag hadn’t bothered to change her true, melodious voice; it was one that would have made the very birds stop singing so they could hear its beauty. “Why, my king, do you not recognise me? Was it not your cruelties that bade me to be hideous before thee?”
“SPEAK NOT IN THE OLD TONGUE WENCH!” Jareth cried, though by now he knew her true name for such a voice could not be mistaken. Everyone knew of the Witch of the Wastes, Desdemona. Once Jareth’s lover, Desdemona committed the worst crime any fae could do against another; adultery. Such heartbreak would have killed any other fae, but that was how Desdemona found that Jareth did not truly love her as he had tried to for many centuries. The sheer fact she was willing to let him die to prove her theory only enraged him further.
As punishment to her crime, Jareth created a special prison in the Labyrinth for her. An oubliette wherein she could see any event she wanted outside, but never interact with it; at the time, it amused him greatly to show her that she’d inspired an Aboveground play by the Medium, William Shakespeare. Now however, Jareth cared not for foolish trifles, only to know how she had escaped her gilded cage.
“How did you escape wench?”
“Oh, please my sweet. Let us not forget the old pet names we once used, was I not once your peach as your new betrothed is now?”
Jareth flinched as if struck, an ominous air encompassing him, filled with the unknown. When he did not answer, Desdemona sighed, shucking her disguise to reveal beauty enough to rival Aphrodite herself. Skin as dark as the blackest night, a plump figure so luxurious even the Abovegrounders would make it a fashion again if they saw her instead of their emaciated models. Her hair, a mix of black and gold was woven into magnificent braids, making the gold look like the very stars themselves had lowered themselves from the night sky to kiss her. Even the filthy rags she wore for her guise could not do anything to dampen her beauty.
“You are not as fun as you used to be, my sweet.”
“Still your tongue for I am not yours to be claimed. My heart belongs to another and yours is a shrivelled piece of coal, if it even exists. Tell me how you escaped,” Jareth demanded, though he no longer shouted, he didn’t need to for he had more power under a mere whisper than he ever would with a thunderous tone.
“Escaped? No, no, no. I was freed by those who are no longer bedazzled by you as I used to be. You are not so popular as you used to be, my sweet. Marrying a human will be your undoing.”
“Name the cretins who betrayed me, so they may suffer the same fate as you Witch,” Jareth sneered. He knew Desdemona well. She was powerful, maybe enough to match him in combat, but she was also vain and arrogant. If he could stroke her ego long enough under the pretences of listening to her, he could finish the spell he was silently weaving to finish her off, once and for all. He was under no impression that she wasn’t also doing the same, hoping to avoid a long, tiresome duel, but if he could finish his spell first, there wouldn’t be anything more to worry about.
Desdemona chuckled, “And give you my only subjects? I think not Jareth. It would not be fitting. Ah,” she looked past him to the healer caring for you. “You’re wasting your healer’s time, my sweet. That poison is from the bark of the Belger Tree. There is no cure.”
The ground shook in an Earthquake even more ferocious than the last at Jareth’s fury, and all the fae before him, except for Desdemona were sent sprawling to the ground. He hadn’t meant to do that and it distracted him momentarily from his spell, wasting precious seconds. However, he couldn’t help his despair. The Belger tree had once been a fae, poisoned by the one she was betrothed to. Instead of dying from the poison, the fae woman Belger lived and grew hateful, then fearing that she would have her heart broken again, she cut it out, using her last moments to bury it deep in the soil. The still-beating heart bore a mighty black tree, caught between life and death. It always grew, yet never bloomed and anything that touched it was destined to die. No doubt, to get such a vile poison as its bark, Desdemona had been very careful indeed.
Throwing caution to the wind, Jareth abandoned his spell and bellowed a single word, “BALOR!”
Forgetting any previous grace, Desdemona rushed at him, throwing him to the floor and clamping her hand to his mouth. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING, YOU FOOL?! YOU CANNOT SUMMON THE DEMON KING! HE’LL KILL US ALL!”
Desdemona’s warnings were too late however. From the sky came a tornado of shrieking wind that would challenge any banshee. The world fell silent again as Balor stepped out from the tornado, letting it die into nothingness. Balor was a giant among the fae. A God of Death, he wore warped armour, made of the hardened bodies of his victims. Fortunately, he kept one of his flaming red eyes shut, for it was well known that whenever he opened both eyes, everything before him died.
With a blast of quick magic, Jareth threw Desdemona off him, summoning manacles to bind her arms, though they would not last for long. Speaking with reverence befitting the God, Jareth bowed, “Balor, on the day of my wedding I have committed a great injustice to you. I did not invite you to approve of the festivities. Therefore, I present you with a gift. The Witch of the Wastes, Desdemona.”
Desdemona screamed loudly, trying to break free of her manacles, but Jareth ignored her, talking all the faster. “Do with her what you please. Feed off her magic, kill her, toy with her, whatever you wish, for she is yours. Do you accept my gift Demon King?”
Balor’s eye narrowed sharply and for one short moment, Jareth was afraid he was going to open his other eye. Instead, he stomped over to Desdemona, saying nothing as he grabbed her bound hands and dragged her to the centre of the temple. Desdemona kicked and screamed, shouting curses born of terror. Her screams were soon drowned out by another shrieking whirlwind that carried Balor back to his realm.
Free of any further distractions, Jareth ran to your side, looking into the Healer’s wise eyes that held centuries of knowledge. “Is it possible to-”
The healer shook her head, cutting him off with an ancient voice that sounded odd coming from her perfectly young body. “The best I can do is keep (Y/N) stable and in the land of good dreams until (s)he passes to the great beyond.”
“Do so then, until I find a cure.”
“My king, there are only thirteen days until that happens. Best to spend the remaining days treasuring your love.”
“Please,” Jareth begged, not daring to order the healer around for she was revered by all the fae.
The healer bowed, “As you wish, Your Majesty.”
Tumblr media
Jareth threw another old tome against the wall of his study, watching as some of the pages fell out on its journey to the floor. Nine days gone, and he was no closer to finding a cure to your ailments than before. He couldn’t even enter your dreams to at least tell you he was searching because the poison that was slowly killing you would infect him as well, or so the nameless healer told him.
Turning away from his books, he receded into the depths of his mind, viewing everywhere in the Underground at once. He had to think of something, for he would go crazy if he didn’t. Finally, he screamed in anguish, despairing that the Underground had nothing to show him that might help.
Raving mad, Jareth transformed into his owl form, flying through an open window and setting out on a journey to the Belger tree; if he couldn’t save you then he could join you in your fate by touching the tree’s bark. However, he would first make sure nobody shared your and his fate again. Before he let the tree kill him, he would destroy it, saving a piece of its bark to take back so he might die by your side.
Too weak to teleport after his constant efforts to find a cure, Jareth resolved himself to the flight. It took him two whole days to reach the tree and in that time he had an idea; it was desperate and probably doomed to failure, but an idea nonetheless.
Soaring down to the long abandoned dessert of the ancient ones, Jareth landed in the sand before the imposing Belgar tree, careful not to touch the monumental roots which had grown so large, they stuck out from the sand in multiple places. Instead of destroying the hateful tree like he had planned, Jareth transformed into his usual fae self and did something he had never done before in his long life. He kneeled.
“Oh, great Belgar, I Jareth the Goblin King kneel before you so that I may plead your aid. Just like you, I was wronged by an old lover and now I need you to give me an antidote to your very bark, for without it, my one true love will die.”
Nothing happened and Jareth squeezed his eyes tightly shut so he didn’t cry before his quest was over.
“Please,” He whispered.
He waited an age before he was graced with an answer. The tree lifted some of its roots from the ground, weaving them together to form the image of a fae. The branches hissed when they moved to move her mouth, “Why should I save your love when no-one protected me from mine?”
Although Jareth would have normally argued, he was humbled by the Belgar tree’s ethereal power which washed over him even before she spoke. “I have no reason that you should help me.”
“Then let me rest young one.”
“But-” Jareth choked out, finally crying from days of pent up fear and exhaustion. “But if you do not help me, does that not make you as bad as the one who betrayed you?”
The tree-woman roared, summoning more branches to make her larger in size, so she dwarfed Jareth. “DO NOT PRESUME TO LECTURE ME ON MORALS! YOU HAVE NO IDEA OF THE CENTURIES OF TORMENT I HAVE SUFFERED!”
“No,” Jareth agreed, bowing his head, “But if you don’t help me now, I’ll soon learn, for I will be just like you; I would sooner cut out my heart than lose (Y/N). (S)he is my everything.”
“How do I know if I give you my cure that you won’t simply hide it away so nobody else may have it?” The tree-fae lamented mournfully.
“You would not, but is it not better to help someone than spend more time suffering? This may well be your one chance to save yourself from more pain, and if not… Well, I for one would not forget your generosity.”
The tree was silent for a long time, and Jareth feared he’d lost her audience. Finally, the tree-woman reached out a hand, holding out a single fragile flower. It had pale-blue petals shaped like teardrops and looked so frail, it could die any moment. “This flower took me ten-thousand years to grow. If anything will cure your love, it is this. Take it and be gone, young one. I do not wish to be disturbed again. Leave me to my long rest.”
Careful to only touch the flower, Jareth took the blossom, bowing deeply to thank the Belgar tree who promptly disassembled its humanoid form, returning to the way it had been before. Placing the flower in a protective orb, Jareth transformed once again into a barn owl and took off into the night sky, flying faster than he’d ever gone before, hoping he would make it back to you in time.
As a fae who’d spent most of his life pitting people against time itself, Jareth felt the cruel irony of his own plight; he was painfully aware of each second that passed, leading closer to your demise.
He didn’t go back to his study, instead he headed to his chambers, where you were resting on the bed, tended to by the healer. Instead of flying through an open window as he had when he left, he crashed through the closed one, bleeding heavily in his owl form, but only lightly when he transformed back to his usual form.
“(Y/N),” He ran to your side, clutching your deathly cold hand in his free one, for the other still held the bloom in its orb. “How fares (s)he?”
The healer shook her head, “You only have minutes, my liege. Spend them wisely.”
Jareth shoved the orb at the healer, “No, not minutes. I have eternity. That is the cure we need. Please, find some way to administer it, and quickly.”
Although the wizened healer would have loved more time to examine the curious plant which she could feel the power emanating from, there wasn’t time as the clock above the bed started chiming thirteen. Chanting a few short words, the healer turned he plant into liquid, using its protective orb as a cup. Placing the cup to your lips, she forced the liquid down your throat, then stepped back and waited.
Jareth held one of your hands tightly in both of his, waiting for you to do or say anything that would inform him you were well. As the clock chimed its last bell, Jareth drew you towards him, sobbing into the crook of your neck. “I’m sorry,” He cried. “I should have done more, I should have been better.”
“I do,” You mumbled tiredly, causing Jareth to freeze.
The healer smiled knowingly, excusing herself silently for what would no doubt be a tearful reunion.
“(Y/N)?” Jareth whispered.
“I will marry you, I do,” You groaned, half-dreaming. Slowly, you opened your eyes, coming face to face with Jareth. “Why’re you here? Weren’t you on the um, the… the fancy chair?”
Exhausted and over-emotional from a lack of sleep, Jareth clung to you, breaking down into a flood of tears.
“Okay…” You said, still confused on what was a dream and what was reality. “I’m sorry I forgot it was called a throne, but is it really worth crying over?”
With a reassuring squeeze, Jareth whimpered, “I love you, so much. You are my heart.”
Rubbing his back comfortingly, you smiled hazily, “And you are mine.”
Later on, Jareth explained everything that had happened during the time after your wedding. Despite requesting an audience with the Belgar tree to thank her for her gift to you, Jareth refused to take you, remembering his promise to leave the tree alone. He did however check on the tree through his mirrors and what he found made him smile. For the first time ever, the Belgar tree had a covering of lush purple leaves like those of a weeping willow, complementing her beautiful black bark; it was the most beautiful thing Jareth had ever seen, and he made sure to never forget it.

It girl pt. 6 - They know
Tumblr media
Pairing: Mentor!Natasha Romanoff x Mentee!Reader, Platonic!Avengers x reader, Peter Parker x Reader
Warning: This chapter is just angst. Maybe a little fluff in the end if you squint hard enough. But the Bonus Scenes are pure fluff. xx
Summary: Natasha had once joked about picking a random new recruit trainee to teach all her skills since Tony had recently become Peter’s mentor. Fury sees this as a legitimate idea, and asks Natasha to choose her protège, code name: “it girl”.
A/N: The long-ass series has finally come to an end. Thank you to all the supporters, and please stay till the end if you wanna read some deleted scenes ;)
Prologue  Part 1  Part 2  Part 3  Part 4  Part 5
———————————————————————
The remaining Avengers returned to the compound completely defeated, no one dared to utter a word as they retreated. For the first time in many years, they lost. Tony's whereabouts were still unknown, and the only string of hope left was the pager that Fury left behind.
The encounter with Carol Danvers, Tony returning to Earth weak and crushed, it only furthered their sorrow. The realization that Thanos had committed mass-murder on the universe, and they couldn't do anything to stop him. Even their last hope burned out, as Thanos had already gotten rid of the stones.
Natasha coped with losing you like how she always did. Built a thicker wall around her than before, spent her time in the gym and working. Every time she walked by your room in the compound, her mind replayed your smaller figure, twirling around the room in the ballgown you found in the closet.
She opens the door to land her eyes on the closet door, which you took the liberty of painting the Black Widow logo on it. She wipes a stray tear with her thumb, her soft sniffles loud in the soundless room.
Because of her devoted work, the orphans were safe with shelter and food. The Avengers was running smoothly even though the men just abandoned their work. When the sun shone through the glass walls and the light reflected off of her computer, it was fine. But once the moon rose in the dark night, her ears played cruel tricks on her, making her hear the little hums and laughs of yours.
"Natashen'ka. That's actually a pretty cool nickname, Ms. Nat."
"Haha, anything to get you to stop calling me 'Ms. Nat'."
During nights like this, she often found herself in the Philosophic room you spent so much time in, looking at little notes and gadgets left behind by you. MINT was a great listener, showing Natasha multiple mini videos of you blowing things up and freaking out.
You allowed yourself into Natasha's heart in the short span of a year, and she found herself welcoming you into her fragile heart like a daughter she never had. In the 5 years without you, she never forgot about you. She didn't put the stocked up cookies in your cupboard away, and she didn't even think of cleaning up your room in the compound.
But more and more, she started to heal herself, gradually coming to softly smile when she saw your bedroom door instead of crying.
But everything changed when Scott Lang pulled up into the Avengers Compound, with what seemed like an impossible plan to save the universe. She couldn't give that chance up. Even if it was a one in a million possibility, she wanted to give you a second chance. You were an extraordinary girl, and you were going to do great things someday. She knew that ever since she appointed you 'it girl' of the Avengers.
So she had to speak up when Tony rejected her, Steve and Scott's idea.
"Tony, think about the kids. Our kids. Please, think about it." Tony instantly understood what kids she was talking about, and his hardened face faltered.
"Our kids are gone." Tony went back into his house, clearly rattled. It was evident that Tony had a hard time dealing with Peter's death like Natasha had with you.
Which was why it came as no surprise to Natasha when Tony came back to the compound, with his time heist machine all figured out. The one she didn't expect, though, was being in this situation.
"Natasha, you can't. Y/N needs you." Clint sobbed, being held up by Natasha's grappling hook. He tightened his grip on her, who only had Clint to hold on to from falling to her death.
"She's strong, Clint. She's- so strong." She choked back a sob, readying herself for what she was going to do.
"No, no... Damn you!" Clint's eyes shot up to the ominous clouds, taunting him to let go of his best friend.
"Let me go." Natasha looked at him in the eyes, pure determination in her eyes. Her mind replayed every moment of her life, trying to remember every Avenger's smiling faces and carving them in her mind.
"It's okay." She snaked her hands away from his, kicking against the cliff to jump off. She felt her stomach drop from the fall, her beautiful smile gracing on her lips. She closed her eyes and imagined you, your big doe eyes looking up at her with a twinkle in your gaze. She couldn't remember why you looked so happy, but your smile never left her as the air from her lungs got knocked out, followed by falling into a long, sweet sleep.
Clint could only watch as she fell, hitting the ground lifelessly. Tears fell down his cheeks, sobbing uncontrollably before he fell unconscious as well.
As soon as you walked out of that portal, the first person you looked for was Natasha. When you couldn't seem to locate where she was, you just assumed that she was somewhere in the big crowd. The battlefield was big, and it was normal for you to not be able to see your teammate.
You were left clueless, even as you watched Tony's life end before your eyes. You held Peter in a tight embrace, balancing him while his shoulders trembled as he cried for the fallen hero. You walked in silence as Steve carried Tony into what remained of the compound, still too busy comforting Peter to notice Natasha wasn't there. No one wanted to tell you, for they saw how broken Peter looked then, and they didn't want to do this to you too.
But ultimately, when Peter moved from you to beside Tony, you glanced around to look for and hug Natasha. Only then, did Clint work up the courage to tell you the truth. You stood in front of him for a few second unmoving, your mind completely frozen and malfunctioning.
"She-she sacrificed herself for the stones."
"No." Your hand flew up to your mouth, shaking your head as tears pooled in your eyes. The tip of your nose burned, and you found yourself falling on your knees. Your knees sunk into the dirt, teardrops threatening to spill. You let out a strangled cry, muffled by your hands. Steve was right by your side, pulling you into a hug as you broke down in his arms.
"I know, Y/N, I know." Steve was one of Natasha's best friends, and he was one of the first people you met in the compound. He understood the pain, that hopelessness of realizing that you'd never be able to see her again.
“Natashen'ka.” You mumbled in between sobs, tears soaking Steve's tac suit. But he didn't mind, he stayed on the ground crying with you.
You cried yourself to sleep that night, and only in your dreams did you find a little peace. That only lasted so long before you were woken up by Steve, who handed you a white letter and a cup of tea.
You thanked Pepper mentally for giving you a clean change of clothes, walking out of Tony's cabin in the crisp weather. Peter sat on the porch, looking out into the small lake.
"Hi, Pete." You greeted, your usual chirpy tone gone.
"Y/N. I'm so glad you're okay." Even though the loss, he still smiled at you, pulling you into a warm embrace.
"I'm glad you're okay too, Peter." You sighed into his neck, comforted by his usual scent and the feeling of his chest against you.
Later in the day when the Avengers were all gone to mourn in their own ways, you climbed atop the roof to collect yourself and read Natasha's letter.
My it girl.
If you ever read this, I won’t be around anymore, I’m guessing.
“Ohmygod! I DID IT!!” You squealed and jumped, eyes burning into the perfect shot at the paper shooting board.
“That was amazing!” Natasha laughed, your energy radiating off and rubbing onto her.
“You're already better than Thor.” She traced the bullet hole, grinning brightly back at you. You felt laughter bubbling in your gut, your mind replaying that one time Thor had to try shooting an enemy in battle. He crushed the poor magnum with his iron grip, letting out strings of curse words saying Midguardian weapons were too tiny.
I want you to know that- god, this sounds cheesy. But, you’re my legacy, Y/N.
I’ve done many things in my life. You know that.
But I can say with certainty, that the best thing I ever did, was choosing you that day.
“I’m sorry! Ms. Nat, please.” Your eyes welled with fresh tears, tugging onto Natasha’s suit sleeves desperately.
“I told you that it was too dangerous.” She turned back around at you and sighed, glaring at the now destroyed HYDRA hideout.
“I’m sorry. I just thought-“
“Thought that you could go in there and save everyone?”
“That’s what you would’ve done!”
“But you can’t do the things I’d do! If anything happened to you, I-“ She trailed off, hands flying up to her head, slicking back her debris-filled hair in annoyance.
“I wouldn’t know what to do then.”
So don’t cry, my Y/N.
Because I’m not gone.
I’m still here.
By your side, always.
You felt like your heart was being beaten with sharp blades over and over again, but you found it in yourself to smile at the letter. By your side, always. You gulped down another wave of intense sobs, looking up at the bright sky.
You wanted nothing more than for Natasha to pull you in a hug, for her to feed you Wanda's cookies to stop you from crying. Your heart felt empty, glassy eyes searching for purpose in the cloudless blue sky.
"Y/N." You turned around to see Peter, standing a few feet away from you with a concerned look. He walked over to you and sat down, wordlessly wrapping his arm your shoulder and letting you lean into him.
"I wish they had a way to know that we're safe, alive because of them." You whispered, afraid that your voice would crack if you spoke.
"They know."
BONUS DELETED SCENES
A collection of scenes that were actually written in the stories, but got cut because some of them didn't make sense.
"Where are you two going?" Tony caught you and Peter trying to sneak into one of SHIELD's jets, and you giggled as you turned around.
"Busted..." Peter grinned at you, the two of you trying to suppress your laughs.
"We're going to... well, see dem aliens." You said suddenly serious, determined eyes locked with Tony's.
"What?"
"It's the area 51 raid, sir!" Peter almost screamed, way too excited for his own good.
"But I own area 51? People are going to raid my property?!" Tony shrieked, running away back into the compound.
--
"Y/N, who do you think is better looking, me or the spawn of Satan?" Sam rushed up to you, smiling as he pointed at himself, then Bucky.
"Spawn of Satan?" You questioned, watching Bucky with a flower crown eating plums innocently.
"It's me, right? Hey, Y/N said it's me!" Sam ran away yelling, Bucky narrowing his eyes at you. You raised your hand up, shaking your head confused.
--
"So, the gossip is, Bucky and Steve are totally into each other." Wanda pointed out as she took a bite out of her cookie.
"Fascinating." You nodded, eyes focused on Wanda dishing out all of the Avengers' gossip.
"But Tony and Steve were like a thing before, so that caused this whole Civil War."
"I don't think-" Vision furrowed his artificial brows and tried to intervene, but Sam shushed him and Wanda continued.
"Oh! Do you want me to spill the tea on Thor and Bruce?"
"Spill!"
--
"So, Y/N. What do you think about Peter?" Natasha's voice had a hint of mischievousness in it, making you redden immediately. " You can't lie to a spy, Y/N."
"I think he's a great friend." Maybe an average person may not have been able to lie to her, but you were fantastic at manipulation. Short reply usually indicated that the speaker was telling the truth, rather than a long explanation.
"Hmm... Okay, then. You won't mind if I told you he likes you. Such a shame..."
"He likes me?" Ugh! A slip-up. She knew now.
"I knew it! TONY!!" She skipped out of your room and left you internally panicking.
--
"I say we watch gone with the wind today." It was the Avengers movie night, and you were on the couch snuggled next to Peter. Tony prepared the snacks, which meant that it was as perfect as it could be. You didn't know that there was a limited flavor ice cream named after Tony until today.
"Steve, we've watched that movie 4 times this week."
"It's a great movie!"
"Why don't we watch justice league?" Clint said, making everyone turn to him with crazy looks in their eyes.
"It's way too dark." You said, shaking your head.
"But it's supposed to be-" Before Clint could protest, you shook your head.
"No, I mean it's literally too dark. I can't see a goddamn thing."
The Avengers laughed and nodded in agreement, going back to searching for a good movie.
"Steve, she said a bad language word." Tony squeaked out, and everyone burst out laughing as Steve shook his head.
"This is literally never going away, Rogers." Natasha chuckled before she took a swig out of her beer bottle.

Thank you so much for reading 'it girl', to every reader who liked/commented/asked to be on taglist, you guys motivated me to continue this far to chapter 6. I hope the ending wasn't too brutal. If it's any consolation, in this story I intended for Steve to stay in the present. Love you muffins xx  - Your Nep<3

Since she was the only one who wasn’t screaming and begging for her life. Follow the journey of Emily as she discovers the world of the Norse Gods.
Warnings: Angst, mention of rape
Words: 2k
The sound of metal clicking woke me up from my heavy slumber. Opening slowly my eyes, I saw Snákur opening the cage door, where he has put me in. “Good Morning, Kjære.” He had a cup and bowl with some kind of stew. The smell of warm food made my stomach growl back alive.
After all the devastation that they did to my village, the armor beasts took us to a very strange boat that was in the river near the town, ready to take us to their lands. It was all made in wood, with the sides full of shields that it had some strange symbols and colors. In the front of the boat was a huge dragon head, in his eyes were two big rubies, shining bright with the light of the moon. They put the women in iron cages, locking them there with nothing but a thin cloak to warm them up. The man with the beautiful red hair took me to a large room, there was a cage waiting for me. He locks me there all night, a while he ate and fuck some warrior women from their group in front of me. His piercing green eyes always on mine a while pounding the women into the straw mattress, a wicked smirk on his thin lips.
Pushing myself to the corner of the cold cage, I wrap my arms around my knees and look to him suspiciously. Studying closely all his movements.
“No need to be so tense, Kjære.” he said a while putting the food on the floor in front of me. I look down at the warm stew, seeing the steam leaving the bowl, spreading the lovely smell through the air. Do not eat it, Emily! It must be poisoned! The sound of my stomach growling broke through the air, making a soft blush form on my face.
“Go on! Eat.” he said, pushing the warm bowl towards me. Can't stand it anymore the hunger, I pick the bowl and started eating like there wasn’t a tomorrow. Pushing spoon after spoon into my mouth, some of the soup has dripped from my chin, making me look like an animal. I close my eyes as I started feeling the warm food filling my stomach, spreading a pleasant feeling through my body.
A warm touch made me shot my eyes open. Looking up, I saw Snákur smirking to me a while stroking gently my black hair. “Such delicate skin...soft hair...beautiful eyes... you are noble to walk among the Gods.” his voice was rich and deep, making a shiver run through my spine. His delicate hand moves from my hair to my cheek and then to my neck, rubbing gently my scars. I feel the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
Pushing my back into the cold metal of the cage, I look away from his burning gaze. Something about him made my guts twist.
How his green eyes glow in the dark, like a cat hiding in the darkness waiting for his prey to show his vulnerable side. How his body radiates a peculiar aura, making the air in the room difficult to breathe. I even notice some of his hair glowing, looking like he had flames instead of hair.
“I know that you’re scared but I won’t hurt you...Hmm, maybe a little.” he said, his wicked smile returning to his lips. My body starts shivering from fear and anxiety. He grabs the chains on my wrists and pulls me out of the cage, dragging me out of his room.
As we walk outside, my eyes flew closed from the bright light of the sun. “Come on, little dove! I don’t have all day.” he pulls the chains harder, making me stumble on my feet. Looking around, I see that we had arrived on their land.
I must say that it was beautiful. The port was in a huge valley, surrounded by tall trees, that shake gently with the cold wind and the water was like a mirror, so gentle and calm. There was a trail that most lead to their village. The wails and screams from the young women sounded in the air along with the snarls and growl that the men gave them when one of the women slap or kick them.
Snákur mounted his steed and starts slowly trotting, with me follow them at a quick pace. A hiss escapes from my lips when I felt a small stick pierce my barefoot. Taking a deep breath, I look down at my bonded hands, seeing some blood dripping from them due to how tight were the chains around my wrists. What did I do to deserve such awful alive...
After walking for almost two hours with bloody feet and aching legs, we arrive at a huge town. I look around with wide eyes, shocked by the strange people and things in front of me. Some of the children and women stop what they were doing to just look to the new treasure that their men had brought with them.
The men stopped and open the cage that had the women from my village, and started to distribute them to the men of the village for their own pleasure.
My stomach twist when I saw some of them raping some of the young women right there in the dirt, with people cheering and laughing. The screams from the women made my heart break, tears were running down my face freely, seeing the cruel scene before me. Monsters!
Suddenly, a hard pull grabbed my attention. Looking up, I see Snákur smirking at me “You better keep up with me or else you'll end up like them.” nodding quickly, I pick up my pace, trying to keep up with his horse.
Looking around, seeing the wooden houses with strange roofs and with some oddly draws in them. There was some goat meat and they pelt hanging on the porch and also some old rugs and blankets.
The people here had strange hairstyles. The men had long hair and long beards, with braids and small jewelry to decorate them. The women also had very long hair that has at least three sets of braids. Their clothes were based on animals' pelt and pieces of iron or leather.
The warriors had some unusual war paint on their faces. It had various colors, Blue, red, white and black. They draw odd symbols that must be some tradition or something similar to this folk of the north.
Seeing the houses as I walked down the street, I notice that we were entering into the dense forest, following a small trail. Shouldn’t his house be in the town? Confused, I look up to Snákur and tug gently the chains, trying to get his attention.
He turns his head to the side, the smirk still on his lips “I don’t live there, Kjære. My house in the dense forest...You will like there.” He said with a giggle. Turning back, I gave one last look to the strange village. Well...at least I don’t have to see those men every single day.
I let out a sigh and continue my long walk to my new prison. In the distance, I could hear the cheers and screams from the poor women. Please, God! Safe those poor souls.
After four hours of walking, we finally arrived at his house. I was shocked when I see the huge wooden house on the top of a hill. It was almost like a small castle, the wood was all in dark brown almost black. There also were strange draws but these ones were different. There were tons of snakes delicate drawn on the dark wood, on the door, on the sides of the windows and in the columns. Strange...Why so many snakes?
He dismounts from his horse and pulls me inside the dark house. To my surprise, inside was warmly decorated.
The cold stone floor was covered with huge rugs and pelts. There was a fireplace in the middle of the living room, roaring with blazing flames. There some doors in the hallway beside me, it mostly leads to the bedrooms or kitchen.
He walks around the living room, putting his bag on the wooden chair and taking out some jewelry and gold from my village.
Tears escape from my eyes when I saw the necklace from my mother in his hands. It was a simple necklace but very beautiful. It was all in gold with a simple white pearl. My father was always with him and when I tried to touch, he slapped my cheek with such force that I fell to the floor. I heard my brothers saying that my father had given it to my mother on the day he asked her in marriage.
“Why the tears, little dove?” he asked with a mocking voice. He looks to the necklace in his large hands and then to me. A grin grew on his lips, he walked to me, putting his hand on my cheek, cupping softly. “No need to cry anymore, little dove! For I will protect what is mine...and you are mine.” his hand moves down a little. His long fingers stroking my scars with such tenderness, his emerald green eyes piercing into my blue ones, almost like he was gazing into my soul.
With the bright light of the flames, I could see better his face. His face was absolutely flawless, without a single imperfection except for the small scars that he had on his lips. It was like someone had sewn his lips.
I gulp when I feel both of his hands on my neck, knotting something behind it. When he was finished, he took a step back and grin proudly to me “There! Let that be a gift from me to you.” I look down and saw my mother necklace on my neck but with something new. In the pearl was a small symbol. It was shaped in S that was two snakes around each other. How did he do that? This wasn’t here before!
“As you have heard, the people in the town call me Snákur since I'm known for the love that I have for snakes.” he said a while sitting on his chair by the fireplace. My gaze follows his movements, seeing how graceful he walked. Something that the men from the strange village, hadn’t.
He rests his chin on his right hand, a smirk still on his lips. He lifts the other hand and snaps his fingers, making a loud noise in the room. I feel the weight of the chains vanish from my wrists. Looking down, I notice that they had disappeared.
Shocked by this, my head shot up, looking at him trying to look for answers in his mischief eyes.
“But you can call me Loki...or write in your case.”

Symphogear G- Sequelitis Strikes Again...
So, after watching the first season of Symphogear, finishing it in three days, and being hooked in an instant, naturally I was pumped to get to the next season to see what they would do with the plot, what new characters we'd get to see, how the old characters would be expanded upon, and how much more awesome the fights would get. And... would it be too harsh to say that it basically failed on most of that criteria?
Okay, yeah it would. But still, the reason this review took so long to come out is because I found this season to be a chore to get through. I still had a lot of fun, don't get me wrong, but it was a far cry from the excitement and investment I experienced in the first season. Where exactly did Symphogear G go wrong? Well, let's dive into that now.
Once again, this review will be spoiler-free for any who haven't seen the show yet.
Tumblr media
Plot:
What is Senshi Zesshou Symphogear G about?
After the events of the first season, Hibiki, Tsubasa and Chris along with the DRS are working with the esteemed Dr. Ver to preserve Solomon's Cane, a device that Finé used to summon Noise. However, it is soon revealed that the doctor is evil, and working with a terrorist organization known as Federal Institutes of Sacrist (FIS), and with Solomon's Cane in their possession, they now have control of the Noise.
On top of that, three new Symphogear users appear, only they are working on the side of FIS. The leaders of the three, Maria Cadenzavna Eve, claims to be the new reincarnation of Finé's soul, and she also possesses a dark version of Gungnir, Hibiki's Symphogear. With such a formidable ally, FIS demands that the world's governments relinquish all control to them, lest they unleash the Noise upon them in an all-out assault.
How will our heroes stop this new global threat? And why are a group of Gear users working for the enemy?
Tumblr media
At first, I thought the plot had a lot of intrigue and potential. While the first episode didn't grab me by the balls like Season 1 Episode 1 did, I was still interested to learn about the villainous Gear users and how the enemy's nefarious schemes would unfold. Unfortunately, if I could describe the execution of said plot in a single word, it would be "unbalanced."
Basically, the first half of G had great character and plot setup, but I found the fights somewhat lacking. Then, by episode 8, the fights had returned to their usual epicness and badassery, but the plot and characters had taken a turn for the worst.
Whereas Season 1 felt like it was continuous building and building with each episode, stuff just... happens in Symphogear G. Characters motivations are set up, but either forgotten or completely changed halfway through the show. It honestly felt like the writers were making G's story up as they went along.
The issues I had with Season 1's story are present here as well, in that the villain's motivation is incredibly confusing and not made 100% clear until the last couple of episodes. FIS's main goal is to save humanity from the Moon, which will soon crash into the Earth due to the damage it endured from Finé. However, they go about this by... killing people? I understand innocent bloodshed is necessary in most evil "save the world" schemes, but is this really the best way to convince the rest of the world that you're here to help?
Either I'm just really dumb, or Symphogear just isn't very good at explaining things.
Another thing that bothered me about this season was the usage of Swan Songs. In Symphogear G, there's not one, but TWO methods that allow Gear users to sing their Swan Songs without dying. "Tension? Consequences? WhAt ThE hElL aRe ThOsE?!"
However, the worst part about this confused and structurally unbalanced plot is how it affects the character development.
Characters:
I'm going to cover the three lead characters and Miku very briefly (cause there honestly isn't much to talk about) so we can discuss the new characters in more detail.
Tumblr media
Remember how I praised Hibiki in Season 1 for being a flat character done right? Well, in G, the writers attempted to give Hibiki somewhat of an arc by having the villains call her a "hypocrite." At first, I was intrigued as to what they meant by this. Then, there was a point where Hibiki went Berserk again, and I figured "Oh, they mean that because she can't control her Gear, she's a danger to the people she's trying to protect!" Nope. Once Hibiki returns to normal, she never goes Berserk again, and her plot becomes about her dealing with the Gungnir fragments slowly killing her from the inside. Soooo... why is she a hypocrite again? An excellent question! ...that's never answered. Weak.
I wasn't the biggest fan of Tsubasa in Season 1, finding her over-the-top EDGE a bit too much for my taste. However, I will give credit that she at least had an arc. In G, she does absolutely nothing. She has no arc, no motivation, and contributes nothing to the plot (thankfully her strict, yet compassionate personality is left untouched). I initially thought she would have some conflict with Maria, given that the two had a bit of a standoff in Episode 1, with Tsubasa angry at Maria for possessing Kanade's Gear. Much like Hibiki's Berserk Mode, though, this conflict was never expanded upon or brought up again, relegating Tsubasa to a glorified background character.
Chris was my favorite character in Season 1, with her fiery tsundere personality and redemption arc. But much like Tsubasa, she suffered the fate of being pushed to the sidelines. Chris started out in a tough spot, transferring into Hibiki and Tsubasa's school and bearing little to no social skills. This new environment throws her for a loop, especially when a group of her classmates try to befriend her. I interpreted this as Chris not only struggling with social anxiety due to her hatred of people in Season 1, but also still harboring some guilt over her actions and not feeling worthy of friendship or care whatsoever. Okay, fair enough.
Well guess what else the writers forgot about?! 🤪
And alas, let's talk about Miku...... Oh my sweet little angel, what have they done to you??? Miku was the heart and soul of Season 1; she was Hibiki's emotional support; her Sun that warmed her whenever she felt dark. In G, she's just useless. The writers, like Hibiki, try to give her an arc (that doesn't start till episode 6...) where she wants to protect Hibiki from the Gungnir killing her. The way the writers execute this promising arc, however, is nothing short of insulting. Long story short, she fails to protect Hibiki in any single way. Instead, Hibiki ends up being the one still protecting her. Good job, Symphogear G.
With all that out of the way, I can FINALLY move onto something more positive. While I may not like what G did with the protagonists, the same cannot be said for the villains. These people are what made this season enjoyable to me.
Maria Candenzavna Eve
Tumblr media
Maria is objectively the best character of the season. I really don't see how anyone could argue otherwise. She has a gut-wrenching backstory, a clearly defined motivation, and every action she takes, while not always the most logical, makes sense to how she is feeling at the time.
Maria's sister, Serena, who was also a Gear user, used her Swan Song to save FIS from an out-of-control experiment. Immediately following this, the scientists berated the deceased Serena for destroying something they had put so much work in. Maria was enraged by the idea that they would do this to someone, a child nonetheless, who had just sacrificed her life for them. However, instead of retaliating and seeking revenge on FIS for this, Maria dedicates her actions to protecting human lives so that Serena's sacrifice wouldn't be in vain. And unlike the rest of FIS, she actually goes out of her way to avoid killing anyone! Of course, she eventually learns the hard way that saving everyone may be an impossibility...
Also, she gets one of the most adrenaline-pumping and yet emotional fights, accompanied by her kickass battle song, which is probably my favorite of the entire series now.
Kirika Akatsuki
Tumblr media
Hot-blooded, cheerful, and insistent on ending every sentence with "I say!" Kirika is nothing short of a joy to watch. She's a welcome entry in the villain faction, which desperately needed someone lighthearted to counteract the dead sister angst. Of course, this doesn't mean she's is without her own conflicts.
Kirika's main drive is, aside from saving the innocent, protecting her girlfriend best friend Shirabe. She's constantly trying to cheer her up cold-hearted friend and remind her that what they're doing is the right thing. However, this protective instinct leads to a discovery that changes her for the worst, and the rest of the show is her tragic and slow descent into madness, leading to a heartbreaking scene in the final battle that left me going "damn, they went there."
Kirika's Gear is cool enough, but not my favorite. It's mostly just a scthye and boomerangs, making it not much different from Tsubasa's Gear. Or at least, her Gear isn't as impressive as our next antagonist...
Shirabe Tsukuyomi
Tumblr media
Cold, distant, but ruthless in combat (beware the quite ones), Shirabe is a great foil to her lover friend Kirika, or "Kiri-chan" as she likes to call her. One could say that Shirabe is an emotionless husk, but as the story plays out we learn that, like most tsunderes, this is merely a mask to hide how much she cares for the people around her. She harbors a deep respect and admiration for Maria and an unbreakable bond with Kirika.
Shirabe bears a strong resentment towards Hibiki, being the one to drill home the fact that she's a "hypocrite" (for reasons I'm still not hugely clear on...). She believes that FIS is the only hope humanity has for survival. Of course, once her idol, Maria, starts to lose sight of this goal, Shirabe becomes conflicted, and starts to question which side is right. I love it when villains don't know which path to take. Such delicious angst! 😬
As much as I love Chris' Gear, Shirabe's may just be my new favorite. Her pigtails transform into mechanical arms with sawblades! She can spawn a giant sawblade to ride around on like a giant wheel! She can turn into a giant robot with sawblades for arms! Y'know, I'm starting to think I like saw-based weapons...
Professor Nastassja
Tumblr media
My only complaint about this character is that no one ever made fun of her name.
Prof. Nastassja, or "Mom" as Maria, Kirika and Shirabe call her, is the serious, straightforward thinking mastermind of FIS's operations. She was there when Serena died in front of Maria, and after seeing her determination to protect people, she decided to push Maria towards their ultimate goal of "saving" mankind from the Moon crashing. Thankfully, this woman actually has a head on her shoulders, and comes to realize that killing people probably isn't the best way to save them (who'da thunk?) and thus sets out on a path of redemption. Damn, what's with villains this season realizing that they might be wrong? I love it!
Of course, on the deep end of the villains spectrum, we have the only one who doesn't realize the error of his ways...
Dr. Ver
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Just a sample of the many amazing faces this guys makes.
Everyone loves a good psychopath. And oh boy, does this guy really underline the "psycho" part of that word. Constantly laughing manically, making theatrical gestures, spawning Noise with an itchy trigger finger, and declaring loud and proud that HE is the hero of this story. I could watch him for hours.
While Dr. Ver's motivation does stem from FIS's overly convoluted plot, he makes it very clear that he has his own agenda. He may claim he strives for the salvation of humanity, but his actions say otherwise. And that's why he's so great. He doesn't have a complex backstory or a redemption arc. He's just evil through and through and he loves every minute of it. As Alfred once said to Bruce Wayne: "Some men just want to watch the world burn." 😈
Alright, that's all the new characters out of the way. Time to move onto my favorite section before I wrap things up...
Yuri:
Tumblr media
The yuri content this season was, like the rest of it, a mixed bag. The best way I can sum it up is that it took one giant leap forward, and another giant leap back.
First and foremost, our star couple of the show: HibiMiku. Or they would be the star of the show if they had more screentime. Yeah, G really did this couple dirty. They don't even hold a conversation together until Episode 6! And then they throw in the whole conflict of Miko wanting to protect Hibiki. I guess the writers were relying on the sentiment they'd built on HibiMiku from the last season, but I feel like the two could've have at least TALKED about Miku not wanting Hibiki to fight before throwing her into the action. There was one scene twowards the end with the two of them that really got me in the feels, but it was hardly enough to make up for the whole lot of nothing we got from the rest of the season.
Second, we have the two that ultimately saved the yuri content in G: KiriShira. They look good together? Check. Complimenting personalities? Check. Emotional support? Check. Each character has their own motivation and arc outside of their relationship? Check. These two are not only absolutely adorable together, but unlike HibiMiku, which is more implied (even though there shouldn't be any doubt they're dating), KiriShira actually gets a love confession! I haven't seen that in a magical girl show since Sailor Moon Crystal when Hotaru confessed to Chibi-Usa! I'll have to see more of these two before I can say for sure, but I might actually prefer KiriShira to HibiMiku at this point. Gonna have to see how the rest of the series plays out!
Conclusion:
Symphogear G is a considerable step down from Season 1 in my opinion. While I absolutely adore the antagonists and love (MOST) of the yuri content we got, the story and protagonists just didn't do it for me this time around, which is a shame considering how much I liked them in Season 1. The fight scenes in the first couple of episodes were less than impressive, which had me nervous, but they thankfully stepped up towards the end, delivering one hell of a climactic finale.
Also, I'm not gonna lie, the final episode got me choked up.
I may have been to hard on this season when I started this review. Despite my numerous issues, I still enjoyed myself throughout and I am looking forward to the next season. I sincerely hope my issues with the plot and protagonists are rectified because I do love this series. What's done well in G is really good, but what fails in G really fails. Oh well, not every season of a franchise can be a masterpiece. I'm just praying that it's all uphill from here. 🙏
Rating: 6/10
Hope you all enjoyed! I'll see you in my review of Symphogear GX, my fellow yuri lovers! ❤️😊❤️

Love Is You - chapter 2
a/n: I made some new additions to the chapter while reading it. Wattpad, AO3 and Tumblr versions will be all different than each other😅 Whenever i read it before posting it on somewhere, i cannot stop myself and add new stuffs…
Ps: Severus is making an appearance in this chapter and we will see him more and more with each chapter😏
Also i am linking Sirius x Scar relationship post here, you can learn about their backstory😌
Tumblr media
Scarlett has spent the night at her own house, of course she didn’t want to go back to their family house and even how much she needed a company tonight, she couldn’t go to her parents either since she didn’t know how to tell them what happened tonight.. Scarlett couldn't sleep even for a second; the moment she closed her eyes the bedroom scene appeared in her mind non-stop. So she decided to go to work early, there was no point in trying to sleep. She fixed herself as much as possible and headed to the Ministry of Magic. She went to the Minister of Magic's room directly, as the deputy minister she had to acquaint him about the conferences in Paris.
"Good morning sir."
"Good morning Scarlett. I wasn't expecting you that early. Have a seat please."
The Minister Dorian Blackwood poured some tea for themselves and opened a biscuit jar while she was sitting. They talked about Paris conferences for almost half an hour. The Minister has noticed that something was off with Scarlett since he knew her since she was little. But he decided to stay silent, if she wanted to talk she would.
"Before i leave, i need to tell you one more thing Dorian."
"Sure, i am listening."
Scarlett was scratching her hands and biting down on her lip. She was having second thoughts but she believed she had to do that. "I…I want to resign..."
Dorian raised his eyebrows in surprise, that was something he wasn’t expecting at all. "May i ask why? Because i see you as the next minister and i know you want that too, Scarlett. That was our plan."
"I do, i still do want that but i just can't work here anymore." She took a deep breathe, she continued to talk but her voice was shaking. "I don't know how to explain this at all but yesterday i found out something including a third party and i and Sirius are no longer in good terms. I don't want to come across with someone here and that someone is not Sirius..." Couple of tears escaped and ran down on her cheeks.
"Oh my dear girl...” Dorian walked up to her and rubbed her back to ease her pain a bit. Scarlett was like a daughter to him and he cared about her dearly. “I guess i understand the situation... but i don't want you to resign. Maybe we can do something else."
"What is that?" Scarlett looked at him questioningly.
"I am guessing that someone is not as important as you here so...I can do it right now."
She shook her head. "No not fire her, that won't be fair. It is my personal problem, Dorian."
"Okay whatever you want but just let me know if you change your mind, i can do anything for my lovely deputy minister. But i really want you to stay Scarlett, i don’t think you thought about that decision very clearly."
"I thank you for your kindness and for everything Dory but i don't think i will be in a good state of mind for a while. I don't even want to stay in London. Please accept my resign." Scarlett was almost begging at this point. The minister thought for a while then nodded slowly.
"I can't force you Scarlett, it is your decision in the end. But i am really upset about it, i will miss my partner in crime” Dorian gave her a sad smile. “Give me a week to arrange some stuff then you can fully resign. And you don’t have to come here this week, i will take care of it myself and promise me you will take care of yourself."
She nodded. "Thank you for your understanding, i am not happy about it either but that will be the best for everyone i guess... I cannot promise but i will try..."
Then she left the room before crying her eyes out, this was way harder than she thought. Then she went to the law department to arrange the divorce papers, this was even harder than the resign talk for her. It was hell of a day and she just wanted it to finish already. After the work, she went to their house to get some of her stuff since she didn’t have  much in her house because it hasn’t been used for over 20 years. Unfortunately for Scarlett, Sirius has left the work early and he was at home. When he heard the door, he rushed to the doorway it had to be Scarlett.
"I knew you will be back Scarlett!" Sirius cheered with happiness, though he was looking rough. Apparently he didn’t have good night either.
"I didn't come here to stay, i will take some clothes then leave. I will be moving out as soon as possible." Scarlett said sternly without looking at him.
Before he could say anything else, she started to go upstairs where their bedroom was. Sirius followed her immediately like a puppy. She didn't want to enter the room after what she has seen yesterday but she had to, so she took a deep breath and started to pack a bag, avoiding looking at their bed.
"Scar, baby, we can talk and solve this, please."
She let out a laugh angrily. "We can solve it huh? You cheated on me right here, in OUR bed and now you are waiting for me to forget everything!? You have no idea how hard it is for me to be in this room right now. We are done, understand!? You will get the divorce papers in couple of days."
She took her suitcase and got out of the room as fast as possible. "I will take the rest of my stuff later."
"Scarlett..." he called out her name and held her hand before she could walk out the outside door.
She stood there for a second then turned to look at him for the first time today. The tears were collected in his moon coloured eyes, ah how much she loved his eyes. She has never seen him looking so sad, he was always the cheerful one with a grin on his lips. Seeing him like this gave her pain, she was very angry with him but the love she had for him wouldn’t disappear in a day. Then without a second thought she pressed her lips against his softly. It was a quick kiss, but it was full of mixed emotions. Then she pulled away and mumbled a "Goodbye." before she apparated and left Sirius there crying silently.
2 days have passed since Scarlett moved out and still she haven't talked to her kids or her parents about what's going on between her and Sirius. The twins were 21 years old so they could understand the situation, but she still didn't know how to tell them about it at all like their marriage was going great and in one night everything went upside down. Leonidas was working in New York and she didn't want to tell him through a letter, this would leave him with so many questions. He would probably come to London for Christmas, so Scarlett decided to wait till then. But Carina was working at Hogwarts and Scarlett got ready to go there, she didn’t want to lie to Carina through letters acting all was well. 2 hours later Scarlett was wandering around the castle, she hasn’t been there since she graduated. She didn't know where Carina's room was exactly, so she decided to go to the potions classroom since Carina was Professor Snape's assistant. She wasn’t ready to enter that class at all and that was why she avoided coming to Hogwarts for years but right now this was such a small problem beside the other things. Scarlett knocked on the class's door and heard the deep voice she knew very well saying "Come in." Severus Snape was ready to scold the person who interrupted their study but when he saw who it was, he stood there in shock, he couldn’t say a single word.
"Mum!?" Carina asked in surprise, she wasn’t expecting her at all.
"May i talk to my daughter privately, it is important." Scarlett requested but she  was not looking at him directly.
Severus didn’t talk for couple of seconds then nodded lightly. "Yes. i will finish rest of the potion by myself Carina, you can leave."
Carina nodded and rushed to her mum. "Is everything okay mum?" She asked while they were leaving the class. Carina noticed she wasn’t looking any good, she wasn’t even wearing her signature red lipstick that she always do and that was concerning.
Carina escorted her to her chambers but she has started to panic, her mum’s silence wasn’t helping the situation at all.
"Mum could you please tell me what happened? Are my grandparents okay?"
"They are fine." Scarlett sat on the bed and motioned Carina to sit next to her. Scarlett's eyes have already filled with tears.
"Mummy? Are you alright?" Carina held her hand softy.
Scarlett shook her head as no, she was squeezing Carina’s hand to gain some power. "Carina, i and your dad... are having a divorce..." end of the sentence she was crying her eyes out.
"W-WHAT!? What happened mum!? I saw you two like 10 days ago and you were totally fine. What's that now?" She was in pure shock and couldn’t know how to act.
"We were... we were good at least that's what i thought... But apparently, we weren't because when i turned back from Paris, i found him..." she started to sob uncontrollably at this point, saying it out loud made it worse for her. "cheating..."
"Did you say cheating!? Daddy was cheating!?" This sentence was something that Carina has never imagined hearing in her life.
Scarlett just nodded; she was unable to talk.
Carina hugged her mum tightly "Shhh mummy, everything will be fine, we will get through it..."
She was trying to calm her mum down, but she was devastated herself too. Carina has always wanted a relationship like her parents had. They were the most in love couple she has ever seen in her life. But she just heard that her dad has cheated on her mum after all those years even they weren’t having any problems. Carina had no idea what to expect for the near future right now but she knew that she will be her mum’s side no matter what.

Hey, what are the top 5 things in your fridge?? OKAY, that's a weird question I want to ask you one but I can't think of anything. th question is more like "CAN YOU NAME 5 ITEMS IN YOUR FRIDGE? 😅LMAO. --okay maybe a TOP 5 VIDEO GAMES YOU player?thats a common question. Feel free to write some essay on that since you like writing 😄😉 (Touhou games DO NOT count!! and answer my 2 questions!)
(Ask me my top 5 anything!)
Top 5 items in my fridge / name 5 items from your fridge? (This is the most random thing and I love it). Off the top of my head…
1. Milk
2. Orange juice (aka a gift from the gods)
3. Green grapes (Green grapes > red grapes, fight me)
4. Strawberry jam / apricot jam (the sweeter the better)
5. Peppers (the spicier the better :])
Top 5 video games I’ve played (short answer). Funnily enough, Touhou wasn’t going to make the list anyway, heh.
1. Okami
2-5 (in no particular order): Tales of the Abyss, NieR, 999: 9 hours 9 persons 9 doors, To The Moon / Final Fantasy IX depending on my mood
(Honourable mentions go to: Pokemon Pearl, Paper Mario / Paper Mario: TTYD and Touhou, I guess ~)
(cracks knuckles) Long answers below since, as Anon said, I do like writing~
1. Okami
i’d die for this game. A solid 10/10. This game is a masterpiece in every way imaginable and any time somebody asks me, “Do you think video games can be considered art?” I show them this game. I played it when I was younger, so it has the faint sense of nostalgia, which is always a bonus. Uhhh I don’t know what else to say other than this game is beautiful and it is one of the few games where I was dreading the ending because I didn’t want the game to end. I wanted to stop playing because I didn’t want the game to end, it was that good.
My biggest dream would be to go to Ryoshima Coast tbh. That place is gorgeous. I remember the first time I went there and purified the area. Hearing the theme and seeing the sheer beauty of Ryoshima Coast appear took my breath away. A while back, I listened to the theme, after not listening to it for a loong while and… yeah, I cried. That’s how beautiful Ryoshima Coast is.
I want to talk more about how much I love this game, but this is long enough, heh. So let’s go to…
Tales of the Abyss
i’d also die for this game and i did. this game killed me. emotionally. I cried over 10 times playing this game? No exaggeration, I counted lmao. Luke’s haircut scene, Ion’s death, Anise crying in the cathedral, Natalia’s little speech to her father, the Meaning of Birth and Tower of Rem scene……………
Tales of the Abyss kicked me in the heart. Hard. Luke fon Fabre is the second most fictional character I relate hardest to. His bratty behaviour and willingness to change, his struggles and his personal issues… They hurt me :so close to home for me and I adore the cast with everything I have. Another video game I didn’t want to end because it was that good.
NieR
Little backstory here: My older sibling and a family friend played this game before me. I remembered very little. There was Gestalt Nier, and a talking book. Nier had a daughter named Yonah, who got kidnapped. There were evil shades. Basic stuff like that. But, what I remembered most, was the music. To be more specific, Hills of Radiant Wind and Kaine Salvation. About a year+ after my sibling finished playing NieR, I suddenly got one of the themes stuck in my head. So, I searched it up on YouTube, listened to it and I was blown away by the beauty. How could a song so beautiful exist????????
I decided to play NieR because of those two themes. They were that beautiful, so beautiful that I had to hear them in-game. Now, this game is brilliant. It steps on your heart and stitches it back together. Then it fucking tears it apart until nothing but bits and pieces remain. Lord the plot twist is so amazingly heart wrenching and this game really taught me that there are two sides to every story.
My (other) sibling watched me play this game, after watching the first sibling I mentioned play it. I hated the shades. That sidequest where you had to find the dog, and found it dead, surrounded by shades? I hated the shades. When I was fighting P-33 and Kalil, I found them annoying. I was having fun killing them, while my sibling was going, “No! Stop! Why are you killing them!” I didn’t understand nor care… until New Game+ rolled around and I felt like the biggest piece of shit. I don’t think another video game can make me feel as guilty as I did there. Hooooo boy NieR made me feel so many emotions.
Kaine was also my role-model growing up. She’s not the best role model (As some people have said to me, “You can’t go a sentence without swearing in it!”) but I admired the way she went through so many hardships in life and still kept living despite that. I also have a tragic backstory™ that bears some similarities to Kaine’s, so this resonated with me. Ahh, Kaine, you deserve the world. I can only hope to be as strong as her one day.
(Bonus: I was already sad when I had to kill Roc. NG+? I started sobbing like a little bitch thanks to the new scenes. “What did we do to deserve such a fate?” “Thank you… for being my friend.” HELLO TEARS WELCOME BACK my heart hurts thinking about it)
999:
this game had me sobbing at 2 am in my bedroom huddled under a blanket holding an upside-down ds
i hate this game for raising my standards so high. nothing can ever come close to the sheer ingenious storytelling of this game i hate this gaaame why did it have to hurt me like thaaaat
 To The Moon:
This game also had me crying during the late hours of the night. It’s a short and sweet “comfort game”, a video game that I tend to play when my mental health plummets. Each and every time, I finish the game (2.5 hours?), I end up feeling so much better afterwards.
I played this game because I heard the theme Everything’s Alright and like NieR, decided that I needed to hear this in-game. It’s so bittersweet :
Final Fantasy IX
Cheers, a game I played when I was much younger~! This game was heavy inspiration for a lot of my stories that I now write. It’s a wonderful game; what else is there to say? I’m currently replaying it right now and there’s nostalgia, yes, but now that I’m older, I can understand so many things I skipped over when I was younger. I’m actually decent at Tetra Master now!
wow
talking about your favourite video games is a surefire way to turn a bad mood into a good mood. Thank you for the ask, Anon ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
