Hi!! Can you please please please write something with weird reader x akaashi? Have a lovely day ♡
Keiji smirks as two arms snake around his neck and gently pull him close, your lips pressing to his head, then ears, where you playfully bite the lobe gently.
“I want to gnaw on your bones,” you whisper into his ear.
“Yeah?” He asks, dog earring his page before closing the book and setting it to the side. He spins in his seat to face you. “You’re feeling that intense about your affection?”
“Of course.” You round the couch and make a move to plop on his lap; his arms instinctively wrap around you, and his lips press a kiss to your temple. “You’re just so pretty today, Keiji. Pretty everyday.”
“Thank you, baby,” he coos, his kissing moving down your cheek then jawline. You mewl and squeeze him, smushing his face against you. “Ow.”
“Sorry. Had to be done.”
“You had to squish me?”
“Yes,” you purr, pressing kisses to his cheeks as compensation for hurting him. Your hand comes up to grip his cheeks, pursing his lips out for you to kiss. “Mwah.”
“Mwah,” he returns.
“Mwah!”
“Mwah.”
“I’m gonna bite you.”
“Please don’t-“ his words are cut off as you bite the squish of his lips, not hard enough to make him wince but enough to playfully bite. “Thank you for being gentle with your feral behavior.”
“You’re welcome.” You plant one more kiss to his lips before hiding your face in his neck, letting the scent of his warm skin lull you to a state of relaxation. “Love you, Keiji.”
“I love you too, baby.”

studying with a sleepy akaashi and him pulling moves on you (they're working)
Tumblr media
it was another simple cold day, november settling in and bringing with it a chill that was quick to freeze your fingertips and tickle your nostrils. deadlines never seemed to stop piling but at least you had someone to motivate you, also a victim of the same craft.
there he was already settled into the booth, his muscular arms folded, his shoulder sagging as his head bobbed, his glasses settled low on his nose.
you were a little too quick to snap a photo, hurrying in to surprise him.
"keiji? hey wake up." you lightly shook his shoulders. he squinted at you, quick to shift upright and readjust himself, a long yawn erupting his mouth, his stretching flexing the shirt around his chest.
"did you get any sleep last night?" he paused, another yawn escaping before he could get out a word. "No, my roomates were up late playing this new game that came out. I couldn't sleep with all the yelling."
You hovered around in concern. "Should we study later so you can take a nap or next time?"
"Nono, this is the best time for us because we're both free today. We should try to power through" he mustered a sleepy smile and you settled in across from him. It was true, with how much classes, random labs and tutorials this was unfortunately the best day for you guys to coordinate.
Sleepy akaashi was charming to say the least. The errors he made where he normally would be perfect followed by a perplexed "hmm...that isn't quite right?" or disappointed, "hm? this one is wrong too? i'm sorry (name)."
seeing him fight the fatigue, taking small sips of his coffee, a distressed palm raking through his hair. "Let me sit beside you so I can show you the right way." "would you please?" the apologetic pull of his lips downward. what a cutie.
and so you worked through the problems, filling in each others blanks, hearing your voice beside him helped him reorient himself.
with his chin settled into his palm he watched as you explained the concept, gaining more confidence in how much you thought you knew about it. before he knew it he was reachign out, catching wisps that were going to get into your eye behind your ear. you pause, staring incredulously. "you were saying?" his tone, a little too smug for your liking.
"nothing." you say indignantly, your eyes following the hands still perched around the area of your face, leafing through the hair by your ears. "what are you doing."
he brings his face closer, pretending to inspect the side of your face, his face dangerously your own. "making sure I do a good job." he whispers into your ear.
something isn't right about him. the huskiness of his voice. the teasing grin, how'd he go from adorable to something that would eat you up. was it because he was tired that he was less careful and nervous than usual?
in fact... something hasn't been quite right for a while now. the prolonged staring he'd do when you guys were studying, the reaching across from you, and sitting very close to you. all the details he remembered. he always responds why wouldn't he but never brings up that he does it to anyone else. you thought back to the previous conversations and how akaashi tried to seem not as interested as he actually was when you guys would have group discussions about love.
your more than familiar now with his shy smile, the fidgeting with his fingers, and unyielding stare whenever he wanted to know or talk about something dear to his heart in a way everyone would not misunderstand.
maybe the teasing from your friends weren't for nothing. maybe he was trying to tell you this whole time.
"oh right, I have something to show you." he turns away, reaching into his bag and your filled with anticipation he slips something into his hands.
"your hand please." he extends his palm to which you nervously press against his. he intertines his fingers through yours, the glow of his smile and face radiating warmth as he pulls something from his wrist onto yours.
you gasp. you had lost your staple bracelet that matched your rings and earrings a week ago and you didn't realize how atattched you were to it until you trashed your room searching for it.
"oh my god, keiji!!! you remembered!! oh my god stop, this is so sweet thank you!" he seems quite proud of himself as you continued to pour with thank yous, and your the best. he assures you as always that he'll always remember the words of those dear to him.
he squeezes your hand in his and you squeeze back so excited to have it back in your collection. "that was super neat, the way you got it from your wrist to mine. that was a little too smooth to not be practiced." did he have another girl or guy you didn't know about?
"you think so?" he raises a brow. "my roomate was bragging about it the other day so i thought I'd give it a go?" the confidence and teasing tone to his voice was so attractive.
"and you thought of me?" "I don't know anyone better." his other hand grazes your face again, sweeping away what you know is no more than a singular strand of hair. "you couldv'e just handed me it."
"well if I'm being fully honest..." he tilts his head, in the silly way he's seen his teamates do when begging him to do something for them. "I also really wanted to hold your hand." he smiled shyly and then he did that thing he always did, where he stared at you really hard and it finally clicked in your mind. he was checking your reaction to see if you were okay with the touch.
for permission.
oh my god, he was enforcing the boundaries you didn't set because he wanted to make sure you were okay with his approaches. all the moments between you guys that made your heart race were intentional.
you place the hand lingering by your face to cup your cheek as you lean in. theres no faster way for you to get out all of your emotions and thoughts then a kiss. his chair tilts back and his hands wrap around your waist to steady you guys. its a quick smooch, given you guys are in a public setting but more than enough.
"I think we're due another discussion about our feelings...somewhere quiet?" "yeah." you mumble, twin grins on your faces as you pack up your stuff, almost rushing out of the cafe having paid your bill earlier.
if there was anyone safe enough for you to entrust your heart to it would always be him.
(this is part of a longer fic, also posted today)

˗ˏˋ akaashi husband hcs
Tumblr media
wc: 0.4k content warning: post-time skip, fluff, so flippin husband, not proofread
ˊ˗ ↷
-Akaashi, the type of husband to wake up earlier to make his daily dose of coffee. While he's at it, he'd also make you your own cup. He'd know what to put in and just how much sugar to add to get the taste right for your cravings.
-Akaashi, the type of husband to love doing simple things for you. He'd especially love to cook you your favorite meals, putting care into every step of the meal. Akaashi would have you taste test it before it's officially finished to know if it suits your tastes before serving it.
-Akaashi, the type of husband to use you as inspiration behind his work. Whenever he has to describe a love interest, he often thinks about you and writes the details that explain what he sees in you. His favorite words would be those that sound all nice and warm.
-Akaashi, the type of husband to love snuggling with you on the couch. He'd love tight hugs where you put all your body weight onto him, making him feel secure knowing that you're in his arms. His hands would also stroke your hair.
-Akaashi, the type of husband to enjoy having your head around his arm while you drift off to bed. He'd like to play with your hair, tucking all the loose strands behind your ear while giving you gentle kisses and gazing at your peaceful face.
-Akaashi, the type of husband to genuinely love your presence. It doesn't matter if the room is silent or if you're just sitting next to each other on the couch watching TV. He loves spending every moment with you.
-Akaashi, the type of husband to love putting on slow songs that echo in your house to slow dance with you. He enjoys the ambient and intimate atmosphere with just the small and cute gesture that only you two are able to experience.
-Akaashi, the type of husband to love whenever the weather gets colder because it gives him a reason to lend you his coat. He loves seeing you in his oversized jacket. Also he'd hold your hands in his own pockets to heat them up, tracing little circles onto your skin.
-Akaashi, the type of husband to enjoy more simple dates. He'd love little walks in the park, setting down the blanket onto a nice flat area for a cute picnic. Akaashi enjoys being in the moment especially with you.
-Akaashi, the type of husband to definitely prefer more private moments with you. But he for sure tells everyone about you, when it comes to his friends he's absolutely going to update them on what you guys are currently thinking about, such as housing or expanding your family.

in sickness and in health — akaashi keiji
Tumblr media
synopsis: despite your stubbornness, akaashi takes care of you when you fall ill.
tags: fluff, rdr is sick, can be interpreted as romantic or platonic
Tumblr media
akaashi can’t help but laugh at your grumbles beneath the blankets.
he thinks it’s silly, how you try oh so hard to convince him that you’re fine, when in reality, you haven’t left your bed since last night. and it’s already late afternoon.
when he re-enters your bedroom with soup in one hand and a mug of tea in the other, he’s greeted with a disturbingly loud coughing fit, coupled with a distressed face and weary eyes. in an instant, he rushes to your side, urging you to sit up and drink some of your tea. reluctantly, you oblige.
this time, akaashi can’t help but frown at your stubbornness.
“i can handle myself,” you complain in a raspy voice, each syllable coated with exhaustion. “i’ve always handled this by myself.”
instead of arguing, he only smiles. “i know. i’m just by your side this time.”

Permanent Words ~ Akaashi Keiji x Reader
Tumblr media
In this world, it's easy to know who is your soulmate, but how you find it, it's a complete surprise. One day you'll speak to someone and the very first words they direct at you will appear on your right wrist. Well... meeting your own soulmate was not only in a very premature moment in your life, but it came with a very awkward price. 'Poor Akaashi Keiji' is a thought you would spend your entire life repeating in your head.
Genre: Fluff. Soulmate!AU High School.
Warnings: None.
Words: 2.1K
Notes: No link to the 'original post' here because I took the premise of the original one and literally changed everything about it.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
You were having one of those days where it seemed the universe was on a personal mission to make things worse and worse for you. You had been the chosen joke of whatever superior force ruled the world.
You had stayed up very late into the night since it was a Friday. You had zero plans scheduled for the rest of the weekend and you had found a new television series that had ended two years ago and its six seasons were all available. You would have the entirety of your Saturday for yourself anyway. Or well… you had thought.
What had happened instead was your best friend calling you continuously at nine in the morning, to the point the sole buzzing of the phone successfully woke you up. You were quick to point out the day and the hour, cursing her for running your plans of waking up until after noon and staying in your pajamas for half the day. However, she didn’t apologize.
“Did you seriously forget about the Fukurodani Open Day?” your friend questioned, almost offended.
“That is till next week,” you reminded her, dropping your head back on your pillow hoping you could end the call and try to sleep a couple more hours.
“Uhh, no. It’s today.”
“What? It was till the sixteenth,” you insisted.
“Today is the sixteenth.”
You had blinked twice and removed the phone from your ear to look at the date and time. It turned out your friend was completely right. You gasped and jumped out of bed, showering your friend with apologies. The plan you had made was to get breakfast together and then head to Fukurodani together. Your friend had a crush with a guy from the basketball team. She had seen him a couple months back during a tournament game. She had been there to support his younger cousin and left the place furiously investigating everything about the school and team. As she had landed her eyes on the Open Day event, she had made you promise you would go there with her. And still, you had completely forgotten.
The plan was to go there, find the guy and have your friend talk to him and try to find out if the ‘hello there’ she planned on saying appeared on his right wrist. Neither of you had an indication if he could be ‘the one’, but your friend was so infatuated, she had sworn it was an important lead.
You took a quick shower and rushed to your closet with your hair wrapped in a towel. You didn’t have time to meticulously choose your outfit for the day, so you went for a safe option. Comfortable denim shorts and a flowy t-shirt tucked inside together with your favorite pair of sneakers. You didn’t have time to even put a bit more effort in your appearance, so you relied on your sunscreen and mascara. You always had a lip balm with you and that would have to do. You left your house and rushed through the streets. At that point, you didn’t have time to wait for the bus. You only had your legs and your will to make it up to your friend. But it seemed you couldn’t trust your body either because the tip of your sneaker got stuck on the edge of the sidewalk as you finished crossing the street and fell forward. Thankfully, your left leg managed to keep you steady but your right leg wasn’t so lucky, and so, your right knee met with the harsh concrete and got scraped. You hissed in pain as two older guys tried to check on you. You lifted a hand at them, silently letting them know you were okay. Truth was… you hated being late. You hated being in a hurry. Nothing went well when one was in a hurry and that day was proving it. Your wet hair had managed to wet the back of your t-shirt and you had forgotten your sweater, so now you were kind of cold and with nothing to help. Also, your sneaker had a dirt mark on the front and your knee hurt and was bleeding.
You couldn’t run anymore, but you could hop very fast… and you did that for the next five minutes as the initial recoil on your knee went away and you could properly step on your foot. You still couldn’t pick up the pace, but striding was possible and you kept the rhythm. Instead of meeting your friend at the little diner where you were supposed to have breakfast together, you met her at the entrance of Fukurodani. She had sustained a stony expression on you, trying to emphasize she was still not over you forgetting your plans together, but as soon as her eyes drifted down to your knee, she gasped.
“What happened?”
“My feet betrayed me,” you sighed. “It doesn’t hurt that much anymore.”
“We need to clean it, though. It looks bad.” Your friend suddenly stretched her hand to you, handing you a small paper bag. “Also, got you an egg sandwich.”
You simply raised your arms and dropped them around her in a thankful hug. You could really sit down, go silent for five minutes, and have some food. Tired of waiting, your friend grabbed your arm and you two went inside. You allowed your friend to scan the board where all the activities were written down so you two could finally try to make the fateful encounter happen. Your stomach grumbled, then. The smell of the egg sandwich was alluring and you decided to not wait anymore. While your friend searched for the basketball demonstration, you could start munching down on some breakfast. But life was not done with you yet. As you opened the paper bag, a sturdy body crashed lightly against yours, but with your knee in a weak state, it was all it took for you to lose your balance. With two clumsy steps forward, the paper bag slipped your hands and crashed on the floor. You watched as a stranger who had been mindlessly walking through the hallway kicked it.
That was it. You couldn’t take it anymore. Throwing any patience or manners out the window, you turned to see the guy who had crashed onto you. He was tall with short, messy black hair. He looked worried and was about to speak, but you didn’t let him.
“My egg sandwich, dude,” you snarled, and stomping your feet you went to get your food. You picked up the paper bag and looked inside, afraid of finding it in a complete mess. However, the sandwich had been perfectly wrapped up in aluminum paper. Maybe it would be a little mangled, but everything would be in place and ready for you to eat.
You stood up and found the same guy still staring at you with both eyes wide opened, his right hand lifted. You frowned at him, unfairly taking your anger in what was an obvious accident. As you stepped closer, meditating about apologizing for your attitude or not, you finally saw it. On his wrist, the words ‘my egg sandwich, dude’ were marked like a tattoo.
Your brain registered what that meant in a heartbeat. All the air in you slipped through your lips. The guy in front of you... the one with the same startled expression as yours was your soulmate… and you had forever marked his wrist with the stupidest phrase you had ever uttered in your entire life till that point.
Your soulmate. Right there. In front of you.
In a hurricane of uncomfortable emotions, you covered your face with both hands as a strong, overwhelming wave of heat struck your neck and it painfully crawled up to your ears and cheeks. Your whole face was beyond warm with embarrassment. You heard the steps of someone approaching you and you just knew it wasn’t your friend by the sensation of a tall presence looming over you. Your friend wasn't that tall. By then your friend had most probably taken notice of what was unfolding.
“Pleasure to meet you,” he said, using what you could only describe as the gentlest voice you had heard. And he also smelled nice. It was a mix between mint and soap. Clean and soft.
You couldn’t cover your eyes till he got tired and left. You assume he wouldn’t. Well, if he did, it would be disappointing. Your soulmate couldn’t give up on you… and neither could you. It would be equally horrifying if you decided to ignore him to the point he decided to leave you alone. One couldn’t choose how they were going to meet their soulmate, and yours happened to be a tad unfortunate. Nothing to do about it anymore.
You slowly moved your hands away from your face and lifted your eyes as you felt a tingling on your own right wrist. You finally got a good look at him—he had thin features and was fondly smiling at you. Why wasn’t he annoyed even in the slightest? He would live with a horrible sentence on his skin forever.
You turned your eyes to your wrist, seeing the words ‘Pleasure to meet you’ on it. It was so nice and so polite. It was obvious he had picked his words carefully once realizing the situation, making sure the words meant to be on your skin forever were something good.
He had been cautions enough to say the perfect thing.
“Uhm, I’m going to go ahead,” your friend said, a cheeky edge on her words. “Don’t leave without me, okay?”
“No, of course not!” you hurriedly assured her. “I’ll text you.”
She gave you a thumbs up and did as she said, leaving you alone with your soulmate—a soulmate you still didn’t know their name.
“Your knee is bleeding,” he said before you could ask for his name. “Let’s get that fixed. Follow me.”
You nodded, holding your stupid egg sandwich against your chest. Your hunger had dimmed but that paper bag was the only thing helping you find stability for the time being. Your legs wobbled with every step you took. You had never been one to feel confident about love—you had even stopped thinking when or how you would find your soulmate, afraid it would take your entire life to do so—and now everything was happening in the snap of a finger, in the quickness of a breath.
He signaled you to wait for him as he approached a table with two older ladies. He pointed at you and continued talking. You were right. He was incredibly polite. His stance didn’t shy away, but just by the way he stood and the tone he used, he was respectful. That was nice. Your mother would like him a lot. Your cheeks burned again at your thoughts. That had to be the next, right? You had to start dating. Or well, maybe you could know each other first. Was it possible to not like your soulmate? You had never thought about it. You felt the urge to take out your phone and quickly search for all those answers but by then, he was already coming back at you with a first-aid kit hanging from one of his hands.
“You can sit there,” he said, pointing at the benches lined up against the walls. Again, you could only nod and obey.
You thought you would sit down and he would maybe sit beside you and hand you what you needed for your knee. Instead, he placed the first-aid kit next to you and he knelt. You panicked, quickly muttering ‘no’ over and over again, motioning with your hands for him to stand up. He completely ignored you and got a gauze and rubbing alcohol, and proceeded to clean your scrape. You slightly hissed at the first touch and he apologized, which you found endearing. The wound was no way his fault and he was being beyond nice for getting on the ground and taking care of it. You could already see yourself gloating to others about the gentleman the universe had chosen for you.
In no time there was no more blood on your skin and you could see the scrape wasn’t as bad as the bleeding had made it seem. It would form a scab for sure, but nothing more.
“Thank you so much…” you said, lingering there for a minute. “I still don’t know your name.”
He smiled as he put the bottle of rubbing alcohol back into the box. “Akaashi Keiji. What’s yours?”
You told him yours and repeated his name a couple times in your head. Your eyes went back to his right wrist and a chuckle escaped you, still in disbelief. “I will have these nice words on me, but, I… I just ruined your wrist forever.”
He took a look himself at his own skin and brushed a thumb over it, pale skin stretching but the words not going anywhere. He smiled again. Or had the smile ever left his face? You couldn't tell.
“No, it will be a funny story to tell,” he calmly stated. You smiled back at him, allowing yourself for the first time to relax around him.
Needless to say, that egg sandwich was left untouched and forgotten to the side.

Tumblr media
It was supposed to be a date, a date both you and Akaashi planned. A date to reconnect you both after weeks away from each other. It wasn't a problem for Akaashi since he's rarely going out for work but works at home instead but it was the otherwise for you, you are a flight attendant, always traveling and not home but today you supposed to be back after almost two weeks staying in London, England but a scene broke off that you had delayed your way home two days after. To make matter worse, you accidentally lost your phone at the airport during your work hours.
You've had to try calling him a few times but he wasn't picking up. After the problem was solved you didn't waste a single minute but to get home fast. You need to see your boyfriend. He might be getting worried about your whereabouts and well-being. The next wink, you entered the apartment, you could almost sense the clouded-over surroundings, the curtains is not pushed or tucked away like usual. It was dimmed. You put aside the luggage and stroll to your bedroom. The bathroom is running, so you assumed that he was bathing. You sit on the bed hitting yourself with a strong minty cologne of his. That sweet, peppermint smell hints at a tinge of his lavender-flavored shampoo.
As soon as the faucet closed, you stood up straight like you are in the military. The bathroom door slid open and his sight came into view. His half-bare and damp sight with a clean towel top his disheveled hair. He stops on his tracks, eyes moving from your feet to your face. You croak a nervous smile his way but he stood there, not saying anything.
You try to put on your acts, trying not to be so obvious by the fact that you are overwhelmed by his presence after nearly a month of not seeing each other.
'I missed you.' You said, eyes moving around the room watching him rummage through the closet to put on his shirt and short pant 'Yeah, me too.' He throws aside the towel on the bed and moves outside leaving you in utter disbelief. You try to maintain your cool despite the anger and heat building up in you. You stare at the spot he was at earlier, and pick up the towel he tossed away to go and shower, yourself.
You've had to compose your emotion, after bathing you strut your way to his on the couch 'Why are you like this? Are you fine?' You put the back of your palm to his forehead and he lets you be before he momentarily yanks his face 'I was worried, sick. I wonder where could've you been? Why haven't you answered my calls, and why you ditched me on that date? I was... Worried.' You try to reason with yourself but he cuts you off 'Do you know I was worried! And...! That date, was supposed to be our date, the one you promise to be at to spend our time together. You know, these days, it's fewer attempts from you to reconnect us again...' A hitch breath stuck on your throat, it's tight and suffocating. One more word coming from him, you are sure you'll break down in guilt.
Tears began to form in your eyes, you tilt your head back to dry the tear off and wipe the access 'I... I'm sorry... Something happened that day, when I was supposed to get back and my phone... I lost it, I try calling you a few times using co-worker's phone but you didn't pick up... I'm sorry... I'm sorry Keiji, I'm sorry that it seems like I haven't done enough these past weeks, I'm so, so sorry... I will do better-' He immediately brings an arm around you, his palm on your torso to pull you closer. The tears you fight back so greatly earlier fell like endless rain. You clutch on his shirt as you sobs from guilt and fatigue.
Once you calmed down, Akaashi push you away just a few inches to get a closer look at your face, your eyes swollen and tear-stained, your nose red and almost runny. You sniffle and groan at the same time, your nose clogged from crying and you try to unblock it with a harsh stroke of your nose. He took your balling fists, gripping them and bringing them closer to his cheek, his thumbs caressing the back of your palms and occasionally left kisses on your hand.
'My fault. I didn't hear your side of the story at first but can't help by feeling upset. That was so unlike me. I guarantee you, it'll never happen again. Sorry, Y/n.' You jump on him, hands on his neck burying your face in between his shoulder and collarbone.
'We are both at fault but partially mine if you think about it, and it's okay to show your unusual self to me. I fell in love with you who are you, not only the perfect, mature, and composed Keiji.' He fondled your back leaving featherlight kisses on your neck and down your shoulder.

he knew what he was doing; and yes, that night with you wasn't a mistake
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You didn't know how it happened. One minute, you were drunk, venting out all your problems and mistakes onto him; the next thing, he brought you in his apartment, pulling you close as he gave you open-mouthed kisses, making you even more drunk than you already were. Despite the bitter taste of alcohol, the aftertaste of his tongue was sweet, leaving you craving more.
When he pulled away, you expected him to be the gentleman he is, probably take a quick second and stop. You knew Akaashi was a nice guy and he'll be saying things like, "I shouldn't take advantage of you at your drunken state," or "This might be a mistake."
He didn't do those.
Instead, he lifted you up by the waist and wrapped your legs around him, making you hug on his shoulders to prevent yourself from falling as he brought you to his bed. Once he laid you down, you swallowed a hard lump, watching as he took off his top, revealing a chiseled body, fine lines tracing the contours of his abs and muscles.
You swallowed again.
Oh my gosh, this is really happening.
He stared at you with his predatory eyes, his fingers sliding from your shoulder down to the collar of your shirt, wanting to unbutton it for you. Well... that is if you're willing to. After all, your consent was key here, and if you wanted to stop he will.
(But he'll come back for you again. Don't ask him why. He just will.)
You sighed in anticipation.
"You can take it off."
And the long night started.

Akaashi Keiji x Fem!Reader
★ Starry Night ★
Tumblr media
You didn't plan on standing infront of his dorm room this late at night but here you are anyway. A little hesitant you knock and one of his roommates opens the door.
"Is-" you start but the guy at the door doesn't give you a second second of his attention. Without even giving you a hello, he looks back over his shoulder to call for Akaashi. What other reason would there be for you to show up here after all? You hear the way the loud room quiets into snickering as soon as Akaashi's name falls and your voice reaches the curious ears inside, and when your dark haired friend shows at the door seconds later, his roommate disappears back into the room but not before flashing a knowing smirk to the both of you.
"Are you busy right now?" You ask Akaashi but don't wait for an answer. "Put on a jacket, let's go outside for a bit." It's not a demand but a request.
And what was he gonna do? Say no? To you? Of course not. The boy is smitten with you. The guys in his dorm would occasionally make fun of him, calling him your lapdog. Not that you knew anything about any of that.
Akaashi sighs and disappears back into the room, leaving the door ajar. As he's grabbing a hoodie to throw over his t-shirt, the roomate from earlier reappears at the door, leaning casually against the frame with his arms crossed and a smug grin. "Taking our pal for a late night date?" He teases you.
"Ignore him." Akaashi walks past his friend before you can even process the question and walks out into the hallway next to you, pulling the collar of his hoodie over his head and adjusting his glasses.
"Let's go," he says, tugging at your arm , already walking you away from the room, not sparing his smirking roommate a single glance or saying bye.
"Have fun you two!" His roommate calls after you as you're walking down the hallway. Once you're out of sight Akaashi glances over to you.
"It's ok to tell him to shut his mouth if he makes you uncomfortable y/n," he tells you while opening the door that leads you two out of the building.
"It's fine. I wasn't uncomfortable," you reassure him as the cool but comfortable night air hits your face.
He nods subtly. "Where are we going by the way?"
"Just walking around. I just wanted to see you. No, actually.. there's something I've been meaning to tell you." The words roll off your tongue so casually as if you're talking about the weather, not like you've been nervously staring at your own reflection for the past ten minutes in your bathroom mirror, trying to come up with the perfect phrasing to confess until you decided fuck it.
He's focused on listening intently on what you're about to tell him but you don't say a word and he doesn't push you to say anything either. So you just walk for a bit in that silence, accompanied by the sound of your footsteps, until you reach a well known place to the both of you. The ground is covered in grass and a few bushes give you a bit of cover from any curious windows that might be looking outside.
There you sit down and pat the grass beneath you. Akaashi doesn't has to be asked twice before sitting down next to you with his legs crossed. His fingers start plucking the grass beneath him as he waits for you to continue. He doesn't say much but you can tell he's wondering, curious why you called him out this late. Not that it was the first time but usually you'd have a reason. Like, I've had a stressful day, can we walk for a bit? Or I couldn't sleep, wanna get some fresh air with me? Or Listen to this! Followed by at least 20 minutes of you yapping non stop about whatever had happened during your classes that day and what was on your mind. He didn't mind. Listening to you didn't tire him.
But today's reason was There's something I wanna tell you in that casual yet serious tone which was a bit weird, considering it came from you, who was normally more direct with your words, saying what's on your mind right there and then without dragging it out.
But you still don't continue and Akaashi's curiosity only grows. He wants to ask you again but right when he opens his mouth to do that, you let out a sigh and lay down on the grass, the back of your head softly kissing the ground. He shuts his mouth and his confused expression lingers on you for a little while before he eventually lays down beside you.
"Why are we laying down?" He asks as you're both staring up at the twinkling stars above.
"Why not?" You question back. "Maybe I wanted to watch the stars with you. Mission success," you joke but it's not really a joke. His heart starts to beat a little faster when he hears your words.
Maybe I wanted to watch the stars with you.
"You're a sap," he tells you quietly.
"I know deep down you're a sap too," you reply while turning your head to the side, only to find him already looking at you. A satisfied smile creeps onto your lips at the sight.
"Point proven," you whisper and see how he returns your smile when he realizes he got caught staring at you starry eyed. Instead of answering he props himself up on his side and looks down on you, his glasses sliding down a little bit as he does so, and you have to resist the urge to reach your hand up and caress his cheek.
"There was something you wanted to tell me," he reminds you and pushes his glasses back up.
"I like you." There, you said it. All that walking back and forth in your room, trying to find the right words to not make a fool of yourself feels so silly to you now.
He just keeps staring at you but you can't read his expression. And you don't want to read his expression, you just want him to tell you he feels the same.
"No, let me rephrase that.." you start again. "I have feelings for you."
"I heard you the first time," he tells you softly.
"Why aren't you saying anything then?" You wonder.
"I'm thinking."
You scoff. "What's there to think about? Either you like me too or you don't."
"I do but.. what if-"
"Don't think about things that haven't happened yet. If you feel the same right now, that's enough for me."
"I do," he repeats himself, with more certainty this time, and you finally allow yourself to place your hand on his cheek. The sudden touch of your cold fingertips on his hot cheek make him slightly flinch at first and momentarily you think of pulling away, wondering if you've acted too rash but soon enough he closes his eyes and melts into your touch.
"Your roommates know too, don't they?" You ask him, recalling their more and more often recurring teasing over the past few months.
He hums in approval.
"They figured it out themselves tough. I never affirmed their suspicions."
"Affirmed their suspicions," you make fun of his choice of words, unable to hold back a chuckle. "What is this, a detective novel?"
He opens his eyes and smiles softly at your teasing. You're really the only one he'll let get away with acting that way towards him. No eyerolls or sassy remarks. No, not you.
"What was your plan if I didn't feel the same?" He wants to know, searching for a genuine answer in your eyes.
"I didn't think that far," you admit seriously at first but then continue in a half joking manner. "I guess I would've told you it's fine and then let it eat me up inside silently and we would have grown apart because it would be too painful for me to be around you so I'd distance myself and I'd cry to 'The One That Got Away' by Katy Perry."
"A sap and a hopeless case then," he concludes and a giggle bursts from your lips.
"Your sap and hopeless case now... if that's what you want of course." There's a hint of uncertainty in your bold statement. It's almost a question and he takes notice how your smile hides a nervousness you're trying to conceal.
His hand reaches down on your face, his thumb gliding over the bridge of your nose, your eyebrow and eventually lands on your cheek.
"Would you like to be my sap and hopeless case?" He asks with the tiniest bit of playfullness in his fond voice.
"I'd like to be your girlfriend," you say, the relief crystal clear in your voice now, "if that's the same as being a sap and hopeless case to you."
"It is," he reassures you and you close your eyes, tilting your head into his palm.
"Sorry for making you come out this late," you apologize. "I don't mind if you wanna go back to your room now."
He doesn't reply right away and you're not sure if he's lost in thought or just doesn't wants to go back just yet. You certainly know that you don't want to go back just yet.
"There's something I'd like to do actually," he finally says, "before we go back."
"What is it?" Your eyes open and look at him with curiousity.
"Can I kiss you?" His hopeful eyes look at you with anticipation and you notice the way he seems to be holding his breath.
A swarm of butterflies spread from your belly all the way up to your chest at his unexptected question and you immediatly prop yourself up on your elbows, causing him to slightly lean back up as well. Your answer comes in the form of a hesitant nod.
"I've never kissed anyone before though," you tell him.
"Me neither," he admits as his thumb keeps gently caressing your flushed cheek, "if that makes you feel any better."
"Don't mess it up then," you warn him jokingly. He just gives you another small smile before his gaze falls onto your lips. As he's leaning in, you immediatly close your eyes and feel your heart start to race faster and faster. Before you even have the chance to think about what to do his lips are already melting with yours, soft and warm unlike the cool air that chapped your lips, and you realize you don't even have to think as you kiss him back. The frames of his black glasses press against your face and it feels like you're returning to something you forgot brings you so much joy. It's new and exciting but with a sense of safe familiarity. Like this is just right and there's nothing but you two that exist in that moment, at least in your mind. He pulls away rather quickly but you don't mind, you just can't help but wonder if he felt the same way yet the words stay on your tongue. His gaze meets yours and you feel truly tongue tied for the first time in your life.
"So this is how to shut you up," he jokes, the smile on his lips matching the shine in his eyes. Or maybe you're just feeling so love struck that everything about him is shining in that moment. The twinkling stars above couldn't even compare.
Your own lips turn into a smile as you slowly start to come back to your surroundings and find your words.
"Oh, come on," you place your palm on his hand and gently press it against your cheek while simultaniously pressing your cheek against his hot palm. "I know you love my yapping."
"I do," he confesses and you watch him silently while he adjusts his glasses with his free hand.
"Shall we go back?" He asks you, sliding his hand out from inbetween your palm and cheek to stand up and holds it out help you up.
You take his hand without hesitation, allowing him to pull you up on your feet and neither of you let go of the other as you start making your way back.
"Akaashi," you say as you enter the building.
"Did you finish the book you borrowed from me by the way? It's been quite a while since I've seen it."
"Right, sorry I kept it so long," he sounds a little apologetic but you can't really be mad at him anyway. "I finished it the other day. I can give it back to you now."
"Something tells me the boys are gonna tease you bad tonight if we show up like this," you chuckle, slightly swinging your hands back and forth as you're walking down the hallway.
"I don't care," he says while interlacing your fingers. "They've been doing it all this time anyway."
"So you're saying it's finally time to affirm their suspicions then?" You ask, amusement dancing in your voice.
He looks at you with that soft smile and those starry eyes of his.
"You know it."

MISINTERPRET
akaashi keiji x reader
summary: akaashi is kind. he's kind to you, but he's also kind to everyone. you need to make sure you don't misinterpret his kindness.
a/n: akaashi getting a quad bc he's abt to hang out with bokuto is so funny to me
Tumblr media
you'd always considered yourself an observant person.
you were good at watching people. you picked up on their habits, tendencies, movement style, and hidden traits. you picked up on how they responded to certain comments and the best way to be friends with them. you were on the quieter side, but you were well respected for being eternally considerate and kind.
also due to this nature, you were a very good judge of character. you found that the kindest and most interesting people were typically either very loud or very quiet, occasionally coming in the middle, though that wasn't often.
for example, take bokuto koutaro, the star pin on the team you co-managed. he was one of the loudest, bubbliest, people you had ever met, and also one of the kindest. he had a way of lighting up the room, and the way he cared for everyone you met was always heartwarming to see.
on the other hand, take someone like akaashi keiji, the setter on the same team. he was much like you. quiet, observant, yet one of the kindest, most tender-hearted people you'd ever met. he was a true gentlemen and was always considerate of other people's feelings and their boundaries. he was also in a few of your classes, and he was always so kind and warm. if you were being honest, you'd developed a small crush on him due to that.
you and akaashi were friends. being similar in nature, you two were quite compatible and got along well. you'd often study in the library together, and you took that as a chance to sneak glances at his stupidly handsome face every so often. however, his face wasn't the only part of him you loved. (though it was certainly an added bonus) there was something about him, aside from his kindness and good nature, that made you feel warm. welcomed. seen. you hadn't ever felt that way about anyone before, and you just knew that he was special.
"hey, l/n-san, uh, so for this part, do you think that the main idea of the passage is- l/n-san? l/n-san? are you alright? l/n-san?"
you felt a gentle hand on your shoulder bringing you out of your trance.
"sorry. yes?"
"ah, i was just asking a question about this part."
"oh, i see. so, in my opinion, i think that.."
as you talked, it might've been your imagination, but you felt like he was gazing at you. however, if you glanced away to see if he was, you'd lose your train of thought, so you continued on, your cheeks becoming slightly rosy as you did so.
after you two finished studying, he cleared his throat.
"uhm, l/n-san, would you like to stop by the cafe on the way to the train station with me?"
your eyes widened before a happy smile spread across your face.
"i'd love to!"
you walked with him to the cafe, making lovely conversation along the way. akaashi was kind, patient, and a good listener, too. talking with him was like riding a bike for the first time in a while. you're a bit nervous before you start, but once you do, its easy, relaxing, and fun.
"the leaves are beginning to turn orange." you commented.
"indeed. it's quite beautiful." he replied, a gentle smile on his handsome features.
"right? it's so pretty! it's a shame they'll fall soon." you said, an excited look on your face present before slightly saddening at the thought of bare trees.
he chuckled. "is fall your favorite season?" he asked.
"hmm.. maybe! i like how pretty the leaves are, but i'm not fond of how chilly it can get." you replied. "it's actually pretty cold right now. i probably should've worn a thicker coat or a scarf."
"oh, are you cold?" he asked before quickly removing his scarf. "here, take my scarf."
you felt your cheeks warming up. "no, no, akaashi-san, keep it! i'm really fine." you protested. he really was kind. he immediately tried to offer what was keeping him comfortable to you in order to ensure your own comfort. that selfless nature of his might be one of the sweetest parts of him - the ability to love and care for others, even when at the expense of himself.
"please, l/n-san, i insist. it wouldn't be good if you caught a cold. i'd be worried." your eyes widened slightly. he'd be worried? however, almost immediately after saying that, he gave a small cough. "i mean, the team and i, of course."
of course. he was just being kind. your feelings for him were beginning to make you misinterpret his simple kindness.
you accepted the scarf. "thank you, akaashi-san. i really appreciate it."
he let out a sigh of relief as he handed you the scarf. "of course. also.. you, uhm, don't need to be so formal with me." he started slowly. "i'd... be much.. uh, happier, if you just called me akaashi. we're on the same team, after all. you're the only one who still uses an honorific with my name."
you smiled. "of course, akaashi. that goes for you, too. just l/n is fine."
he returned your smile. "got it. thank you, l/n."
your heart skipped a beat when his voice spoke just your name. akaashi was making you fall harder for him by the minute, but you felt a bit sad knowing that your chances of being with him or him at least slightly reciprocating your feelings were slim to none. after all, akaashi was an extraordinarily skilled athlete whose personality, height, and overall good looks attracted many girls, even ones from different schools. akaashi's a very kind person. don't misinterpret it.
when you arrived at the cafe, akaashi had you order first. you ordered your usual basic latte, but he ordered a quad, something you'd never tried before.
when your drinks came, you noticed that his had a nicer aroma than you were expecting. he noticed you staring at him as he took his first sip and commented on it. "is something the matter?"
"no, no. i was just wondering what four whole shots of espresso could possibly taste like. i've never heard of anyone with that drink order before. and also, why four shots?! isn't that like, a ton of caffeine? you're not gonna be able to sleep tonight!"
he chuckled. "i need the energy. i promised bokuto-san i would set him some balls today, since it's a friday, and i have a feeling that we'll be going for a while. as for the taste, i quite like it, though it's definitely an acquired taste. bokuto-san tried it once, and he spat it at the wall." he said, chuckling at the memory. "i really enjoy the bitterness of the espresso. i think that out of the five flavors, i think that bitterness very well may be the most underrated one. well, it's in my top two, anyways. additionally, espresso contains immune-boosting antioxidants and-" he then stopped himself short, seeming a bit embarrassed all of a sudden. "ah.. i'm sorry for rambling. uh.. would you like a sip?" he offered.
you smiled. "yes, please! i think it sounds very interesting."
you took the cup from his outstretched hand and took a careful sip. you then began trying to register the flavor. however, while you were doing so, although your face remained stoic, you were internally freaking out. you just shared an indirect kiss with your crush, and he had offered it to you without a second thought. you just shared an indirect kiss with the akaashi keiji. you just shared an indirect kiss with him, and you were trying your best not to start smiling and blushing at it.
stop. don't misinterpret it. don't misinterpret his charity, his kindness. you had asked what his drink tasted like and he was explaining it to you before doing the kind thing to do, offer you a taste. he probably wasn't aware of the fact that you two shared an indirect kiss anyway, and it was only you who was thinking about it-
you stopped that thought at the sight of akaashi. at the sight of akaashi clearly trying to avoid staring at the mouth hole of his cup, but failing miserably, a rosy blush dusting his cheeks, and his lips slightly upturned. at the sight of akaashi keiji, nervously trying to ask what you thought of it, clearly still flustered, and still staring at the mouth hole of his cup.
suddenly feeling a bit confident from his reaction, you licked your lips while holding eye contact. "it was good." you said. "it tasted a little like you, too."
you watched as his cheeks turned from rosy to red, averting his eyes nervously while stealing glances at the cup where you two shared your indirect kiss.
huh. you thought to yourself. maybe, just maybe, you weren't misinterpreting, after all.

Keiji is absolutely nothing if not an attentive, knowing husband.
He’s good, he’s good at the whole marriage thing, knowing what makes you tic and what makes you purr, your anniversaries and outings and just being an absolute maniac when it comes to knowing all about you.
So imagine your complete, your total, your absolute horrific discovery to find out that today, he’s not home.
There’s no flowers, no note, no chaotic breakfast that Mei insisted on making you with Keiji- she claims today is her favorite holiday- and there’s nothing.
Not one of those things, on this birthday of yours.
To be honest, you don’t really mind, he’s one for… however many years you’ve known him, he was bound to forget it at some point (you certainly know you’ve had a few close calls), it just feels strange to have a birthday just with you and not your loving husband or eager daughter.
You stretch, yawn and slowly get out of bed, making your way to the kitchen to prepare for your day off, eager to spend some time alone and not have to worry about anything until you pick up your four year old.
Who is just as surprised as you at Keiji’s forgetting. Who takes a vendetta against Keiji for forgetting.
“You mean daddy didn’t take care of you today?” She says sadly. “That’s not nice of him…”
You giggle, “it’s okay, it’s just one day, yeah?”
“But!” She whines. “I made you a card! ‘Nd we should have a cake! And a birffday party!”
You shrug as you continue to strap her in, “well, sometimes, things don’t exactly pan out like we’d expect them to. And that’s okay! Besides,” you take out your credit card and flash it to Mei, “now we can have a girls day, yeah? Brag to daddy all about it.”
She beams up at you, and you finish buckling her into her seat.
Nails have been painted, delicious pastries for dessert have been picked, a cake to be baked and decorated has been prettied up, and now, all you can do is wait for Keiji to come home and witness all the fun he’d missed today.
Sure enough, 15:34 rolls around, and Keiji comes through the door, sleepy smile on his face and jacket shrugging off of his shoulders. “Hey, my girls.”
“Hey,” you hum, making your way over to him. You toss your arms around his neck and pucker your lips out for a kiss, which he tenderly returns. “How was work?”
“Exhausting,” he says with a small whine. “So glad to be home with the two loves of my life.” He smiles and kisses you again, only to then make eye contact with his daughter, who eyes him in a scold. He crouches down and reaches out to pinch her cheeks, only for her to dodge him slightly.
“And how’s my favorite little-“
“Hmph!”
Immediately, Keiji is cut off by the sound of your four year old’s disapproval, and he watches with a displeased furrow as she stomps her foot with crossed arms and turns away from him. His jaw is slacked, at the mercy of Mei and your attempts to not cackle out loud.
His eyes, filled with incredulous confusion flick back up to you in search for your assistance in correcting her attitude, but you say nothing. Instead, you place your hands on your hips and look down your nose at him.
He straightened his back and took a deep inhale for patience, “excuse me?”
“I said:” once again, Mei stomps her foot and crosses her arms tighter over her tiny chest, “hmph!”
“Have i upset you, Mei?” He asks, crouching lower to try and get her to open up to him. “Is there something you need to tell me?”
“You should know,” she snips.
God she’s so cute, you could just bite her.
Keiji, right now however, may disagree with that sentiment.
“I don’t think I like this attitude, little miss-“
“Not my fault you didn’t wish mommy happy birffday today!” Mei pouts, and instantly, Keiji’s brows shoot up, from anger to surprise. When he turns to look at you in confirmation, your expression turns from one of amusement, to faux anger to match Mei’s. His gaze softens, and he reaches his hands out to you for your affection.
“R…Really?”
“Really really,” you confirm. “I was super surprised our four year old and Koutarou remembered before you did.”
All the color drains from his face, and for a moment your expression softens as he looks like he’s about to faint right in front of you. “Kou…Koutarou remembered?”
“Honestly all of the Jackals did- Kiyoomi even sent me a card that’s due to come.” The detail, all though a little unnecessary, again makes him deflate, and even if your intentions are cruel, he looks so cute trying to grovel for forgiveness.
“Baby… my love… I’m so, so sorry-“
“You should be,” you huff, crossing your arms dramatically. “It’s a good thing I had Mei to keep me company all day, apparently she’s the only Akaashi who loves me.”
“Yeah!” Mei’s voice echos behind Keiji. It makes him snort and drop his head against your shoulder, palms smoothing up your hips and sides in an attempt to be affectionate, though the action only has you melting into his embrace.
“I’m so sorry,” he hums from your neck, peppering soft kisses along the length. Your breath hitches and your own hands come up to rest on his own shoulders. “Is there anything I can do to make up for it?”
“Absolutely not,” you say, giggling softly when he tenses up, then looking up it you in betrayal. “I want ramen. I want ice cream and chips, and I want to watch classic Disney movies as a family, and I want to do those cute panda face masks Mei got us for our anniversary with Koutarou.”
“Okay… okay I can do that; what kind of chips?”
“All of them.”
“You got it.” With that, Keiji kisses your cheek and quickly turns on his heal to head back out to the corner store to stock up on everything you asked for.
“Mommy?” Mei asks, tugging your pant leg.
“What baby?”
“Are you mad at daddy?”
You smile and ruffle her hair, bending down to pick her up and help you set up the rest of your birthday wishes.
“Couldn’t be mad at daddy even if I wanted to be.”

where akaashi pursues reader who had a rough memories asssociated with love and affection is returned
Tumblr media
you like him...he repeats the words he heard echoed off the bathroom walls and lets it bounce about his brain like the DVD logo on a TV that aims to hit the corner and keep missing.
before all that was holding him back was fear you didn't return his feelings and the way you would push away the very idea of love. and so what is he left to do now beyond go big or go home? after gaining some small wins first that is.
and here he was once again pushing himself to go up to you whenever he sees you off somewhere on your own, a breathless hey, its good to see you again. that continued to made your heart skip a beat. from anyone else this interaction normally would've put you off but you were hoping to catch a glimpse of him and here he was in front of you, asking about your weekend and the events you told him about weeks before.
you two went on errands together, and he seemed to hum, a warm tightlipped smile spread across his face as you set days that you two could study together. you were curious to see his workspace, his room, but he was quick to shut that down, something about his roomates being too rowdy. if only you knew how much they were pestering him to bring you to meet them.
it was almost as if you guys were conjoined at the hip with how much unserious discussion went back and forth between you two in the flesh and in online. the 'look your little boyfriend is coming' probes became less horrific and something you started to daydream about...just a little bit.
he always seemed to have a bounce in his step the closer he got as he approached you guys but surely there was no way he could hear your friends mirthful whispers.
the thing is...he could. listening for the difference in sounds to identify the opposing sides play made him a little hyperaware of the sounds around him. playing volleyball has finally paid off. he had to fight the cheesiest smile everytime he heard your friends confidently proclaim him as your little boyfriend.
it was almost as if he got their blessing. now if only he could get yours....
your study sessions were always very productive, with you two picking concepts and explaining it to the other and then the other person explaining it back the concept they were taught. almost like a teacher, was akaashi quick to reward you with candies, ones that were actually your favorites.
"I remember you saying you liked that one."
he saw your long stare at them. "or was I wrong, I have other ones-"
he put his palm over them to make the exchange and before you knew it you settled your own over his. "wait, no! these are my favorite. I was just so surprised that you remembered even that too."
he smiled, his eyes searching your face before he flipped his large palm, his slender fingers wrapping around yours with your thumb now gracing your fingers.
you seemed shocked, but not averse to the touch as he thought you would be. "your hands are pretty cold, let me warm them up for you." you were about to pull away, remembering how ice cold your hands were but the way his thumb carressed your palm and he tapped at the fingers of your other palm, eager to hold the other too made you reconsider.
you hesitantly placed your hands in his. and the books laid forgotten as you guys began to chat. he got up to get you a blanket, helping you wrap yourself up as he stole back your hands in his. there was something about the way his carefully held onto your every word and the warmth of his hands that made the words lodged in your throat unravel. your fears regarding school, regarding how things will change after post secondary, about love. but as you discussed it you didn't feel as bitter or disgusted with your strong desire to be in a relationship despite what happened.
you felt...okay? the neutrality felt unusual but you decided to welcome it, the soothing finger that slide across your knuckles slowing and keiji whom you now noticed was quieter than usual. he seemed to have trouble organizing in his head what he was going to say when the doorbell ringing interrupted you both.
it was another simple cold day, november settling in and bringing with it a chill that was quick to freeze your fingertips and tickle your nostrils. deadlines never seemed to stop piling but at least you had someone to movitae you, also a victim of the same craft.
there he was already settled into the booth, his muscular arms folded, his shoulder sagging as his head bobbed, his glasses settled low on his nose.
you were a little too quick to snap a photo, hurrying in to surprise him.
"keiji? hey wake up." you lightly shook his shoulders. he squinted at you, quick to shift upright and readjust himself, a long yawn erupting his mouth, his stretching flexing the shirt around his chest.
We should try to power through" he mustered a sleepy smile and you settled in acrss from him. It was true, with how much classes and random labs and tutorials this was unfortunaley the best day for yo guys to coordinate.

Firstly, who’s the character from your banner, she’s so pretty =0
Second, this might be oddly specific, but… can I get Yaku or Akaashi(you can pick lol) x autistic reader? Where, like, the reader loves visual stims and blasting loud music, so Yaku/Akaashi thinks “Hm, maybe y/n would like a rave.” So they take them to one, but it backfires, and y/n experiences their first sensory overload? Thank you for considering this!!

Akaashi Keiji had always been observant, especially when it came to you. He noticed the way your face lit up when you came across something visually stimulating—a set of spinning lights, the glittering of sunlight on water, or the mesmerizing glow of a lava lamp. He loved how you’d sway slightly to the music you blasted during your study breaks, finding solace in its loud, enveloping presence.
The things that brought you joy were things Akaashi adored. They were like little windows into the vibrant way you saw the world, and he found himself constantly thinking of ways to surprise you, to bring even a little more happiness into your life.
That’s why, when a coworker mentioned an upcoming rave, the idea immediately lodged itself in Akaashi’s mind. A room full of colorful lights, pounding music, and an atmosphere buzzing with energy—it seemed like a dream fit for you. He brought it up casually over dinner one evening, watching your eyes widen in excitement.
“A rave?” you echoed, setting your chopsticks down with a clink. “You think I’d like it?”
“I think you’d love it,” he said softly, reaching out to squeeze your hand. “It’s colorful and loud, and… well, I just thought it’d be fun to try something new together.”
The idea excited you. You trusted Akaashi completely, and the thought of immersing yourself in a kaleidoscope of lights and sounds with him by your side sounded magical.
When the night of the rave finally arrived, Akaashi picked you up with an encouraging smile. “You look amazing,” he said, taking in your outfit. You’d chosen something bright and a little sparkly, leaning into the rave aesthetic.
“You don’t look so bad yourself,” you teased, tugging at the hem of his plain black hoodie.
The two of you arrived at the venue, and as soon as you stepped inside, the world seemed to explode around you. The music was a pounding, rhythmic beat that shook the floor, and lights of every color swirled and pulsed in time. The air was thick with energy, and the crowd around you seemed to move as one, swaying and jumping to the music.
At first, it was exhilarating. You clung to Akaashi’s hand, letting him guide you through the crowd as you took it all in. The lights dazzled you, and the bass vibrated through your chest in a way that made you laugh. “This is amazing!” you shouted over the music, your grin wide and genuine.
Akaashi smiled back, his own chest warming at your joy. He held onto you tightly, making sure you didn’t get swept away in the crowd.
But as the minutes ticked by, the initial thrill began to morph into something heavier. The music seemed to grow louder and more jarring, and the lights, once mesmerizing, started to feel too sharp, too fast. The heat of the packed room pressed against you, and it was suddenly harder to catch your breath.
You blinked rapidly, trying to ground yourself, but the sensory overload was too much. Your heart pounded painfully, your hands trembling as you clutched Akaashi’s arm.
“Keiji,” you whispered, your voice tight. He barely heard you over the music, but he turned to you immediately, his brows furrowing in concern.
“Are you okay?” he asked, leaning closer.
“I… I think I need to step out,” you managed, your voice shaking.
Akaashi didn’t hesitate. He wrapped an arm around you protectively, guiding you through the throng of people as quickly as he could. His calm determination was like an anchor, keeping you steady even as your mind swirled with panic.
The cool night air was a relief when you finally stepped outside. You took a deep breath, your hands pressed against your chest as you tried to steady your breathing. Akaashi stayed by your side, his hand rubbing gentle circles on your back.
“It’s okay,” he murmured, his voice low and soothing. “Take your time.”
You focused on his voice, letting it pull you back from the edge. After a few minutes, your breathing slowed, and the world began to feel manageable again.
“I’m sorry,” you said softly, not meeting his eyes.
Akaashi frowned, his hand stilling. “Why are you apologizing?”
“I thought I could handle it,” you said, your voice trembling. “I didn’t want to ruin the night.”
“Y/N,” he said, his tone firm but gentle. “You didn’t ruin anything. I should have thought about how overwhelming it might be for you. I just wanted to give you something you’d enjoy, but I didn’t consider the whole picture. That’s on me.”
You shook your head, tears pricking at your eyes. “It’s not your fault. You were trying to make me happy.”
“And I still will,” he said, his expression softening. He cupped your cheek, his thumb brushing away a stray tear. “Your comfort is more important to me than anything else. Always.”
His words wrapped around you like a warm blanket, and you leaned into his touch, letting out a shaky laugh. “Thank you, Keiji.”
To make up for the rough experience, Akaashi took you to a quiet café nearby. The soft lighting and gentle background music were a stark contrast to the chaos of the rave, and you felt yourself relaxing more with each passing minute.
As you sipped on the hot chocolate he’d ordered for you, Akaashi reached into his bag and pulled out a small surprise. It was a handheld light toy, the kind that spun and cast colorful patterns onto any surface.
“I picked this up earlier,” he said, a sheepish smile tugging at his lips. “I thought you might like it.”
You turned it on, watching as the lights danced across the table in gentle, soothing swirls. Your smile widened, and you looked up at Akaashi with pure gratitude. “It’s perfect,” you said softly.
The next day, Akaashi found you in the hallway at school. He greeted you with his usual calm demeanor, but there was a new resolve in his eyes.
“I did some reading last night,” he said, falling into step beside you. “About sensory sensitivities. I want to understand better so I can be there for you.”
You blinked, taken aback by his thoughtfulness. “Keiji…”
He stopped walking and turned to face you, taking your hand in his. “I care about you, Y/N. And I want to make sure you feel safe and supported, no matter what.”
Tears pricked at your eyes again, but this time they were from happiness. You squeezed his hand, a small smile playing on your lips. “Thank you. For everything.”
Akaashi smiled back, his thumb brushing over your knuckles. “Always.”

3:04 AM — akaashi keiji
Tumblr media Tumblr media
keiji entered your shared home all but gracefully. with half-lidded eyes and a stumble through the door, he haphazardly chucked his shoes onto the floor, paying no mind to the fact that they had landed much too far from one another.
with heavy limbs and a sleepy head, he dragged himself over to the bedroom. in the process, he dropped his work bag somewhere in the hallway (if he was slightly more conscious, he would’ve avoided such a thing knowing you’d pester him for it the next morning). and finally, in the darkness of the night, akaashi keiji collapsed onto your bed.
the movement roused you from your sleep, a soft hum escaping your lips as you turned over to face your boyfriend (despite your eyes being closed). “you stink, keiji,” you muttered, the words barely audible and frosted with sleepiness. “how was work?”
keiji grumbled in response. his coat somehow managed to make it off of his body and onto the floor; that’s another thing you’d be sure to scold him for.
there were a plethora of complaints on the very tip of his tongue that had accumulated throughout the day — a rookie editor had misplaced the volume he was working on, the wifi in his building was running slow, his lunchtime coffee was too bitter. but as he lay in the bed next to you, with his hand subconsciously resting on the back of your head and the other bringing your body closer to him, his anger dissipated.
akaashi keiji was a busy man. a busy, and occasionally irritated, man. however, bathed in the lullabies of the moonlight and the warmth of your gentle breaths as you slip back into slumber, he finds himself at ease.

HII OMG IM NEW TO YOUR PAGE AND I HAVE TO SAY I LOVE YOUR WRITING STYLE SM! 🫶🫶 after stalking your page a bit I was kinda interested if you could write a fic with Akaashi x fem!reader where they are both married with kid/s (number of kid/s are up to you! Also you may make up your own name for the kid/s if you wish to mention them) and reader isn’t the best at her mom duties and whenever she tries to execute anything like cleaning or cooking it always ends up as a mess so Akaashi will have to take over for her. After a while the kids would start to prefer Akaashi more since he does most of reader’s work better and it makes the reader a little more insecure. For the ending could you do like how Akaashi would comfort reader after finding out about her insecurities about being a mom? Sorry if it’s pretty long and specific 😅😅 I’ve had this brainrot in my heads for days and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since 😭😭
(BONUS: TOTALLY OPTIONAL BUT I JUST GOT THIS IDEA AS I WAS WRITING THIS REQUST BUT IF YOU COULD ADD A SCENE WHERE SOME OTHER MOMS/PEOPLE START JUDGING READER FOR HER LACK OF ABILITIES IT WOULD BE MYCH APPRECIATED BUT YOU CAN CHOOSE TO IGNORE THIS IF IT RUINS THE CREATIVE FLOW IN YOUR BRAIN 🫶🫶🫶)
Sorry this is a total mess of a request I hope you still follow! ❤️ tysm for your time and effort! ❤️❤️
imperfection is your best trait
synopsis: it’s been quite sometimes since you and akaashi have been gifted a child, it was your peak moment of realisation that you are going to be a “mother”. Yet, it has been hard for you not to messed up even during the smallest task because the pressure of being the perfect role model for your child and surroundings, how can akaashi comfort you in this moment as a father, but also as a husband..?
Akaashi Keiji x fem!reader
hurt/comfort, fluff, slight angst
ps: this is akaashi post timeskip. also before hand, thank you so so much for requesting such an idea!! It’s so pretty and interesting to write hehehe. There are twist to your request which i hope you don’t mind (still is the same as to your idea dw!), hope you enjoy reading this
Morning was once your favorite day. Night was once your least favorite. Either from the fact that night was once dark and luminous or that morning was the time where keiji and you spent more time with each other; which nowadays are opposed to what you were once believed in. Night is your reason to stay sane within the pressure of being a good mother…and a great wife. Because it’s new…it’s very new to you, who’s already used to the work-life and new to the concept of motherhood.
You were cooking food and preparing a bento for akaashi. It was a surely nice day-predicted by you. No burden to deal with…just making a bento for keiji and…dealing with your child who has been making unwanted burdens for you. But hey, this is your now job. Who cares if you scream for help, because neighbors will think you aren’t doing your job and instead just complaining. Who cares if you slowly lose the enjoyment and love to your own child because of society pressure? Nobody! And really…it’s because you never want akaashi to know how inferior you felt when your child picks him over you just because….”mama food taste too salty…i don’t like it!! Papa food taste aweeesomeeee!!” Or that time in the past where you were carrying your child to the playground and she suddenly says something alongside…”i wish papa is here..mama is boring..”.
because if keiji knew…what will be worth of you?
he’s marrying somebody that isn’t competent.
suddenly the neighbor voice disrupt your flow. Your hands trembling as you dreamt about that day. That same day you heard about their jealousy..insecurity, all targeted towards you.
and akaashi’s bad luck just for marrying you.
“look at that girl, she looks all messed up! I wonder if her household is also as messy as she is!”
i’m messy because i’m playing with my child! I’ve been playing with her all day because i’m all she has!; Your thoughts replied.
“Hahaha look at her child, crying all day just because she didn’t make her favorite food, i wonder if she’s even present in their life?”
if i’m not there, my husband would’ve been ill since day 1 and my child is sick!! That’s why i’m only mak—
“her husband worth more than her…”
you can only remember the same words over and over again. Your heart rate gets higher and disruptive-your adrenaline combust. You look around you, trying to remember….what am i doing? why everything fell apart just like that..?
why am i still here..?
“excuse me miss are you listening..?” The sound of the nurse suddenly scheme through your earlobes. It seems you forgot your place, you forgot where you are, and most importantly…You forgot what matter are you here for.
You’re inside the hospital because of your own mistake as a mother; your own child, worsening day by day because of an illness-dismissed by your own self as a normal cold (spoiler alert, it’s not). It just kept worsening until you realise that you barely care for the symptoms your child was suffering through, you just thought it’s a simple cold because it’s what your child think as well.
As a guardian, as a mother; aren’t you supposed to be the one to make sure everything is well..? Then why are you here? Because you’re a new mother? No. That’s not an excuse, you’re a mother now. It’s your job to make sure all goes well.
but…if i don’t agree with my own child and how she thinks. she will hate me. She will thinks i’m a know it all. I don’t want her to hate me. I don’t want her to dislike me. I want her to love me the same as her father. To trust me. She’s still a child. She doesn’t know how to sympathise with me. I’m just a mother.
The cycle didn’t stop until you fully breakdown, your mind is filled with no more than thoughts of giving up. You held onto your child’s palm, your sobbing gets more louder as you sniffle-“I’m sorry…i’m so sorry…i’ll make sure to be a better mother…i’m listening towards everything but…i-…i’m so sorry, thank you for helping us…” you replied with dozens of sniffs coming into your way. You kept your hand onto your child’s palm, never to leave it…to remind you-
“….[name]..?” Oh, that’s keiji’s voice.
“K-keiji..?” You immediately gaze at him. Your eyes already wet and red by this point, the stress on your face is visible enough as it is. You still wanted to greet him, at least with a smile, you already look too miserable-even the nurses have been pitying you for hours now and…yet, here you are, on the chair beside your child’s sleeping state, trying your best to keep your emotion intact, trying your best to smile even when it hurts like hell. “K-kei—“
He runs towards you and hugged you. His whole arm lingering upon your back, the warmth of his body immediately sets upon your cold sweats.
“don’t smile….it will hurt more…feelings are harder to fix than physical problems, you know?…” he soothes your back and kisses your cheeks. “do you need a moment?”
the tension immediately drops…your heart can’t bare it in any longer. You know you’re safe…because keiji, your keiji, is your safe place.
“i’m so tired keiji….i’m just so tired…everything fell down all at once, our child got here and….” You paused. “Everybody…thinks i’m not good enough, at least for you and…our darling..”
“one because…i can’t keep the family perfect…two because…i’m imperfect…and three…nobody sees me the way you do…even our daughter, sees you better than me..”
“how come can i be perfect..? This is all i have of me..”
he paused for a moment before looking at your eyes, the view of his emerald eyes left a certain…tinge of comfort. “Because it’s all you have…because it’s you…no matter what you do, it feels like i’m at home.” He replies shortly. His fingers start to soothe your cheeks in circle.
“the comfort you’ve given for me…the nights you’ve sacrificed for our little girl…the pride you have for being a mother…and lastly, your ability to stay on your feet. That is more than a human can do.” He smiles warmly at you, bopping your nose at the process. “You’re more than what i’m worth for…you’re everything.” He silently caresses your cheeks before continuing. “Being a mother and a wife at the same time is hard. Imperfection is normal. And lastly…our daughter knows your good and bad the most, our daughter knows your good and bad better than how she knows me…”
“she knows me as a father…somebody who brings her favorite onigiri everyday.” He chuckles slightly at his own comment. “But…she knows you as a mother, her best friend, and her teacher.”
“As a child, it’s scary to be taught, all you want to do is receive good deeds….all you want to do is play. But you’re here as her mother, teaching her good and bad, but at the same time love her equally even with how naughty she is sometimes heh.” He pats your head. “Making a mistake is always normal..it’s your first and life, might as well enjoy what’s to come, right?”
you don’t know how words can explain how much his existence meant for you. How much his words made you feel a hopeful future, even when you faced your darkest nightmare. Keiji is here, to help you, to be the husband he had vowed to be. He just kept on patting your head, making circles around your cheeks, making sure your heart stays stable, making sure that your tears have stop flowing.
and suddenly, you hear…
“mama….mama…..” your child has awakened from her deep sleep, her hand tugging onto your shirt…making sure you won’t leave her alone. “im sorry….please don’t leave me…not when papa isn’t here with us…” and that realization hits you like crazy. It’s insane that even the slightest word can change everything.
keiji replied with a short scoff, as if to say that he’s right all along.
“don’t worry, mama’s here…” you smiled warmly as your tears turn into another stain on your clothes. Leaving your eyes and cheeks, remarking a happy turn out of the event.
ps: hello anon!! Thank you so much for requesting this idea! I hope you enjoy this as much as i enjoy writing it hehehehe. See you soon in your future/next request if you’ve ever had one! <33
