BTW "destigmatizing mental illness" doesn't just mean being tolerant when someone says they have a psychiatric diagnosis or go to therapy, it also means investigating how your own view of "evil" may overlap with the signs of madness.
this is because the mainstream idea of what a "bad person" looks like is heavily influenced by sanism, thus most people's perception of what makes someone bad is literally just them being mentally disabled.
to support the crazy, you must accept that grandiosity, delusionality, attention-seeking, rage, homicidal ideation, and many similar experiences are not inherently dangerous. likewise, you must also understand that love and empathy are not the ultimate goods that everyone makes them out to be.
madness can easily be an abundance of the former and a lack of the latter, not just the quiet insecurity that most people reference when they talk about "mental health."
ultimately, the world will never be a truly safe place until it's a widely acknowledged fact that there's no such thing as villainous cognition or emotionality; prejudice is the source of all evil, not abnormality.

I’m really sick and tired of seeing people reduce nolan down to:
1. He’s actually hitler, he’s a racist and sexist and hates every minority + viltrum is magakkk /srs
2. He’s an UwU wife guy babygirl guys!! He said he misses his wife so this clears him of all bad he’s done !!
All of you are wrong and I’m taking him away from everyone until y’all learn how to do media literacy correctly, you people treat nolan the way you should fucking treat homelander the actual canon racist and sexist pig! some of you r even deluded enough to think they would be homeboys ! NO

"oh wow I'm going to miss this part of Boston so much. I've lived here for eight years! I hope moving to a different neighborhood isn't a mistake!" I think to myself, walking down tree-lined streets home from the train
"there's someone coming to see the room tonight!" says my landlady- who, if anyone's wondering, is an elderly Japanese woman. "big Black guy- kind of scary! like Existing Housemate!"
(Existing Housemate is indeed a tall, muscular Black man. he collects vintage comics and listens to Hustle CultureTM podcasts. the scariest thing he's ever done, in my experience, is leave boiling water unattended on the stove for long periods of time)
my decision to move out is strengthened five hundred-fold

i think when most people think of the term child abuse, they might think of physical abuse done to children.
while any kind of mistreatment that happens to children is abuse, i think we should use the term “child discrimination,” as well,
or youth discrimination
so people would know & realize more that children get discriminated against in other ways besides physical abuse.

I'm sick of people dismissing the struggles and issues of teenagers as 'hormones' 'a phase' 'they'll grow out of it'
I'm sick of people dismissing young voice because 'they don't know what they're talking about' 'they're too immature to really understand' 'they'll learn when they get older'
I hate when adults downplay the pressure a school may be putting on their child because 'try working a job, you'll miss your school years'
I hate when adults ignore children until they do something drastic, because all else is just them making a scene.
Who care if it's caused by hormones, the feelings and pain is real. The confusion, depression, insecurity, chaos is fucking real.
Who cares if it's a phase, they have a passion, they're excited about something, they're exploring their identity, stop fucking dismissing it just because you might have grown out of it. Just because you might think they'll grow out of it. So what. A life without phases isn't a life at all, and no phase is 'just' a phase, they're part of fucking life and treat them as such
Yeah they're young, might be inexperienced, but actually listen. They have opinions, be proud they feel comfortable outing them to you. Nowadays so much information is available. You can't tell what they 'don't know' by just a few words, talk to them.
A child can notice when they experience injustice, they can recognize when it happens, they experience the effects. No one is too immature to experience injustice and discrimination.
Someone's age should never justify their voice being ignored.
Someone's age should never mean they're not equal to you as a human being.
To adults, you're not better then children. To children, adults once knew the struggle don't lose hope that they've forgotten.
In less then a year I'll be 18, the number means nothing because humans are always growing and you can't put a number on how valid someones voice is. You can't put a number on the importance of their perspective. 18 can be such a different stage in every life and I'm fucking tired of it's simplification.
No one is too young or too old to have an important voice.
Children are not objects, the elderly are not a burden, those of middle age are not immune to pressure. Fuck ageism in all it's forms and those who dismiss it as a silly thing that has no merit.

Hey, yanno how Climate Change is a real thing that is tangibly, at this moment, affecting our world?
Well it turns out, the wealthy and their investment firms have been seeing the mounting evidence that oil companies have had for decades and are slowly starting to think more long-term about their portfolios in the face of rising sea levels, more extreme weather, and the myriad of ways climate crises are affecting...well. Everything. Maybe this means they invest more into sustainability, green energy, building more resilient infrastructure, or carbon offsets. Some of it, of course, is simple corporate greenwashing, but there are those that are taking this trend and packaging it into something called ESG (Environmental, Social, and corporate Governance).
Now some people would say this is predictable, even sensible. Just the good ol’ Free Market(tm) rationally responding to market forces and a changing world.
But those people would be fools! Insidious fools! For conservative sorcerers have come out with a new cursed phrase to explain this new market trend: Woke Investing.
What makes this investing “woke?” Well, much like how conservatives normally flounder when trying to define a word they stole from black people, “Woke Investing” essentially just means any kind of capital investment that they, the fossil fuel billionaire class and their sycophants, don’t personally profit from.
One of these aforementioned sycophants is Andy Puzder, conservative commentator, fellow at The Heritage Foundation, and former fast-food CEO. He calls this kind of so-called woke investing “socialism in sheep’s clothing,” further explaining in leaked audio of a closed-door meeting:
“My father's generation's challenge was the Nazis, who, by the way, were, of course, very proud socialists[citation fucking needed]. The challenge of my generation was the communists, who were, of course, very committed socialists. The challenge of your generation is ESG investing, and it's more insidious than communism or the Nazis.”(source)
You heard it here first, folks. Not investing as much in fossil fuels is more insidious than the Third Fucking Reich.
As usual, the Heritage Foundation is putting their petro-chemical donor’s money where their mouth is. Bills are being proposed to blacklist banks that don’t invest in key state industries, such as West Virginia coal or Texas oil. Fourteen states have already passed bills to restrict ESG-type investing, with Florida Governor Ron “Bullies Kids for Wearing Masks” Desantis leading the charge.
In other words, Climate Denial has reached such a point that so-called Free Market Conservatives who claim to hate big government are trying to make it illegal for banks, investment firms, and financial institutions to make any financial decisions that acknowledges Climate Change is real.

I haven’t seen anything about it on here yet so I’ll start
Remember today is national truth and reconciliation day! It’s about learning about what happened to indigenous peoples in residential schools, im Canadian so this is a big thing because we had a lot of residential school and the last one only shut down in 1996!
So remember to honour what happened to those indigenous people and to respect and treat everyone how you want to be treated, wear an orange shirt or pin a piece of leather to your clothing (that’s what we do here idk if it’s worldwide) every child matters!
(Also if I said something incorrect pls correct me I’m a teenager and this is just what I know)
Edit: just realized I didn’t explain why, the indigenous children were kidnapped from their family’s, taken to catholic schools, and forced to assimilate with the white people, they wanted to erase their culture and make them Christian. These children experienced all forms of abuse and things children should never have to witness. If you want to learn more a google search can tell you a lot

Stuff that's like 'we want to increase representation of women + people of colour in science' and it's like yay awesome so you're you're going to do stuff about systemic discrimination, and racist and misogynistic views about only white men being good at academic stuff right??? and they're like 'lol noooo we are just looking at doing more focus on scientific communication rather than maths and programming because everyone knows only white men can do those things, and women and people of colour hate data and love Community' and it's like wow what if I put 10000 funnelweb spiders in your house
