I am massively busy with work and finalizing my Big Bang, but this idea just won't leave...

Steve and Eddie are both actors. They're in their mid thirties, well established, but they never starred together in anything. Steve tends to be cast in the same type, the dumb but pretty love interest, Eddie has lots of indie and disturbing movies under his belt. But this time, they both landed something big.

They get cast in the new Batman movie.

Steve is, of course, Batman. He insists on doing his own stunts. He refuses to get dehydrated for his shirtless scenes because he knows how damaging it is to both young men and women alike, he's not going to contribute to shitty expectations. The director (Dustin, duh!) sees something in him other directors never have - a potential for depth, for internal turmoil. He gives Steve the chance to prove himself as an actor and Steve pounces on it.

He's still very hot.

Eddie is cast as the Joker. He is a fan of the comics and scoffs at how absurd and deranged the character is becoming. He gets hired because he immediately says he doesn't think the character needs to rely on cheap tricks and shock value to be terrifying. Cutting off his face? Not cool. He suggests to play the Joker according to one of the older comics he has - one where the Joker is actually absolutely sane, but hides it to never be held accountable for his actions. The only person who ever saw through his ruse was Dr. Harleen Quinzel. Joker took care of that issue very quickly.

The chemistry between Steve and Eddie on screen is insane. They go toe to toe, it's impossible to look away when they interact. Eddie utilizes his bright smile to the maximum, tweaking it just right within moments so it becomes unsettling. The first time he laughs, Steve gets goosebumps.

Steve encompasses Bruce's loneliness so well Eddie's heart breaks for him. Dustin finds him in the trailer, giving himself gentle slaps over the face and muttering "you're evil, damn it, you don't want to comfort the Bat!!".

Batgirl (Robin) and Harley Quinn (Chrissy) find their slow descent into love hilarious. They all become good friends on the set.

Hopper, an acting veteran who plays Commissioner Gordon, grasps Steve's shoulder after an intense fight scene and mutters: "Good job, Steve, but maybe don't stare at his lips so much?"

Robin doesn't give him the same courtesy and once Dustin yells "Cut!", she screeches: "NOW KISS!"

The movie is a hit. People love the cast and the story, some of the OG fans complain as they always do, but the ratings are great, there are many interviews, panels, all of that.

And of course, there's gossip about Steve and Eddie being a thing, which enrages the macho Batman fanbase. Their Batman isn't gay!

But the rumors quickly disappear after an award ceremony where Eddie is nominated for the best supporting actor. He wins, of course. And as he gets up to accept the small statue and deliver a speech with enough "fuck"s to give the censor a headache, he drags Steve up and kisses him in front of the whole world.

A week later, Steve and Eddie are together in front of a camera again, answering questions in an interview.

The host asks: "What do you say to those fans that are disappointed, who say that their Batman isn't gay?"

Steve just snorts, pulls Eddie closer and answers: "They're right. Their Batman isn't gay. But he's definitely bi."

Also the comic story I'm mentioning exits and is short but fantastic. 10/10 recommend.

Oh also. The first spark happens when Steve sees Eddie's hair and blurts out: "Please tell me they're not making you cut it shorter. It's too gorgeous for that."

I think the reason that Dimension 20 really scratches all those itches in my brain is that it really shows what you can do with D&D---and TTRPGs as a whole.

Fantasy High, by itself, is an incredibly compelling concept. What would D&D look like in a semi-modern setting? What would a high school that's all about teaching teens how to be adventurers look like? And the way it's done is beyond inventive, especially if you look at all the encounters in the first season---we've got a literal food fight, a high-speed road chase with tiefling greasers, a nightclub brawl with zombies, vampires, and werewolves, a skating match with a bunch of dwarven middle schoolers and a concrete golem, a high-stakes game of football (ish) with undead jocks that give off major teen slasher vibes, a fight done in an arcade where characters can get trapped in the consoles, and the final battle is done at prom. PROM! How cool is that?

And then we get to the Unsleeping City, which takes the urban fantasy elements that Fantasy High already had and elevates it. The way the D&D lore and magic is interpreted in a modern New York setting is excellent, as is the whole take on the "American Dream," magic literally coming from dreams, ideas, and the imagination. I know that I need to actually finish the UC saga, but from what I've seen and experienced, it is truly fantastic.

And the same energy carries through to the other seasons---my personal favorite outside of Fantasy High being A Court of Fey and Flowers, just because I'm a sucker for any Fey Realm content and I've been raised on Jane Austen---where the genre mashups shine through in the best way possible. I'll admit, I haven't seen A Crown of Candy, purely because I know how heartbreaking and devastating it is and I don't think I can physically handle it, but the concept of Candyland Game of Thrones is so beautifully bizarre that I totally get why people love it so much. Escape from the Bloodkeep hitting that workplace comedy vibe that we love to see in villains. Misfits & Magic being a love letter to the "magical boarding school" genre while also calling out all the weird contradictions inherent in it. A Starstruck Odyssey literally being an homage to Brennan's mom and exactly the kind of madcap and unhinged energy I need from my sci-fi. Neverafter perfectly encapsulating the true horror of fairy tales. Mentopolis hitting my noir-loving heart and personifying hyperfixation in the best way possible.

I'm not even kidding when I say that, if it weren't for Dimension 20... I probably wouldn't have even started my own campaign. I'd had snippets and ideas ever since officially getting into D&D and joining a game with some old friends (and getting back in touch with them in the process), but after I saw the Mentopolis trailer, I realized just how much variety TTRGPs had to offer. I could do a time-blending, history-meets-future campaign. I could go out-of-the-box. I could have endless amounts of options available to my friends and still tell the story that I wanted to tell. And when I sat down and watched Fantasy High---and when I got that Dropout subscription so I could consume whatever I wanted---it felt like the show was actually giving me advice. It's fantastic.

Also it helps that the episodes are usually only roughly a couple hours instead of being, like, an entire afternoon long. And that each season is 20 episodes, tops. No offense to Critical Role, but the sheer amount of content literally makes it impossible for me to get into it.

As if My Stand-In wasn't rude enough, remember that poster of Ming new Joe first saw when he was leaving the hospital?

It's the same shirt Ming was wearing when he broke Joe's heart.

And remember when I wrote Joe had core strength because he was lifting Ming's shirt up with his mouth since his hands were tied behind his back?

He is wearing the same hoodie in episode four's preview, which means Ming is probably going to do some real stupid shit for Tong.

Remember those ridiculous pillowcases Joe bought?

How could we ever forget them?!

They are laying on each other's in this scene. Ming is on Joe's and Joe is on Ming's.

But Ming takes his when Wut shows up.

Oh, and in the trailer, Joe is laying on his.

And Ming is leaning on his.

And they are clearly in Joe's house because the picture on the nightstand is the same as the first time they had sex.

But . . .

On the very first night they tried to have sex, Ming was wearing white pants and Joe had on these yellow-ish boxers.

And in the trailer they are wearing the same outfits, YET we didn't get THIS scene in the first episode.

BUT . . . those damn matching pillows are on the couch.

They normally are on the couch AFTER JOE BOUGHT THEM!

So that scene from the trailer isn't their first night together. It's later! But how much later? Because these bowls show up in odd places too.

You know, the green and gold bowls Joe bought before Ming broke his heart?

The ones they ate off of like a cute couple when Wut brought them food?

Yeah, the bowl is behind Joe in this scene from the trailer.

And that shirt is the same shirt under this jacket from this scene in the trailer.

Ming is also wearing the blue watch in this scene.

And we know Ming had that suit in the past because it was hanging in his closet.

And we know the fight continues to the house because of this promo picture.

Which would make sense why Ming is sitting there all sad with the green and gold bowls waiting for Joe to return.

BUT . . . why would they be kissing by the gold and green bowls if they are breaking up in episode four and Joe is about to die?

So either Ming wakes up, Joe says nothing, Ming puts in a great effort to cook and sex up his man, only to fuck him over for Tong which leads to them fighting in the street and death.

Or Ming is still living in Joe's house in the future with their green and gold bowls and king of heart pillowcases and we will see those two scenes later.

Or Ming could eff over Joe and still be living in his house two years later since this is the same guy who broke a man's heart in a blue and red striped shirt and wore that same exact shirt a year and a half later when he started working for the same company his ex worked for.

Which is something he never had an interest in.

So to recap, Ming is possibly a sentimental asshole who has been holding onto meaningful items and conversations from his relationship for the past two years and he is acting because he no longer wants to be himself since he doesn't have Joe.

With 2024 coming to a close, here are ten of my favourite edits since I started posting on tumblr (and making edits tbh) in August. This includes some extra commentary on my process and thinking etc.

The F1 theme song (Oscar) - My first adventure into making 'um'thems. Thank you Oscar. I don't think I would have made any videos without your ummmming as inspiration.

Control (Oscar/Maxcar/Landoscar) - My first proper edit. I LOVE this edit (and this fic). I didn't scale any of the videos, so it was purely filter and transitions. It was magical (to me) the way the song fit the mood of the fic, and I couldn't get it out of my head until I made it. This Oscar is my fave.

Expensive (Lestappen) - First time I realised that I record off Netlix lol. This dynamic was such a challenge to portray, but such fun. I tried to give it a more 'movie trailer' feeling. Could never live up to the fic though.

The love letter (Landoscar) - Really proud of the audio especially in this one. I actually started out with a completely opposite vibe (Lando being more petty and kinda bitchy towards Oscar), but then it evolved into this. I really wanted to make it more rancid though, but the love vibes got me. This fic also <3

Coffee (Charlos) - THE NARRATIVE OF IT ALL. I am not a Charlos fan but I have had such fun editing them. Carlos not wanting to win the race or fight for the second place in the constructor's because then there would be so much more celebration at Ferrari and he wouldn't be able to handle it because he knows they don't love him anymore. I really hope I got that across.

Oscar-winning tears (Charlos) - AGAIN. THE NARRATIVE. I can't. I had been thinking of editing to this song for a while, but when I saw the clips of Carlos crying... I was a shark and there was blood in the water. I knew what I had to do. Anyway, sorry Carlos, thank you for crying. <3

What can I do? (Landoscar) - I knooowww... It's literally just a compilation of clips... But they are so cute. And I really love this song.

The Leclerc siblings (Oscar/Ollie/Leo) - This is still a fever dream. I spent a day collecting pictures, then painstakingly editing this together. It is still my most insane idea and creation. It kinda fell into place as I was putting it together. But still, I spent so many hours on this. Crazy.

Girly secret (Max) - Another super stupid video, but I think it is hilarious. The way I could bend it to 'fit' Max's narrative of being the teammate killer... and how he is thinking about killing Liam. I don't know. It is funny to me.

Unstoppable (Landoscar) - The process of this was the best part for me. It was so cool to have @twinkodium tell me about their idea, and then the real challenge began of making it. I spent so long deciding on clips and trying to get the timing correct. I am so glad they liked it and that others did too.

Ok let's start the theory with why would Amy end up in earth in the first place and how? Well in this theory of mine it will be for similar reasons as Tails and knuckles, few points to remember:

1. The chaos emeralds were conveniently spread out in space by Sonic himself and he and shadow conveniently will need it.

2. Lately the most recent version of Amy in both modern and Classic (that is the perfect version), Amy is someone ready to be a hero and take action and I inspired this theory thanks to this panel over here👇👇👇

You will my girl, you will absolutely prove your are a worthy warrior ( words probably said by Knuckles)

3. Unlike Tails who used his gadgets to know about sonic and about knuckles and how trace him to find him and unlike knuckles who always knew about him and hired people to find him... How would Amy know about sonic in the first place and how will she know how to find him? Are we forgetting something canon that Amy is skilled at besides swinging a hammer?👇👇👇

The fortune cards should be used in the movie your honor, literally Amy knows how to use magic with them cause she always nails it!

Know let's mix all the ingredients, i chose to write this as a prologue back story through Amy's pov:

Hi, nice to meet you my name is Amy Rose😊 and I'm on an important mission to help save a different planet! Isn't it exciting?🤩 Oh yeah you're probably wondering how I ended carrying this mission and how i know where I'm going jeje 🤭cof cof well it's all thanks to this girls over here:- Amy's hands starts shining surrounded by some kind of pink electric light and a deck of cards shows up out of nowhere- impressed? 😏Jiji this are fortune cards and I have mastered the ability to read them and they always tell me things i need to know, oh and these aren't the only thing I can summon, take a look at this: -Amy extended her arm straight with her palm open and again her hand is surrounded by pink electric light, this time the light grows bigger forming a shape and in a blink she is holding a giant hammer- cool isn't it? Your head won't get away uncracked if you fight me fellas😤 😏 I can crack mountains

oh you also wonder where did I get all this stuff? Ok I'll tell you, bring the flashback:

Some years ago i was a little girl who ended up all on her own, i used to help in a food place but I wanted to do more than that and I craved to prove my independence and strength! Cause I was seen as a weak lonely nobody little girl so... I started to do boxing 🥊🥊 and trained to be more athletic but it wasn't enough, i love boxing but I don't actually like to fight using my fists... and one day finishing my training next to a nice valley i found something... There were some kind of ruins hidden and I felt something calling me under some rocks and there were them... I found a bag with a full thick deck of cards surrounded with a shiny aura and I was so hypnotized with them, i remembered some tales and legends about some mysterious powers that came from the energy of chaos and I wondered if there were items with chaos powers too... As I was checking one by one the cards i stopped when I saw one with a big beautiful hammer image on it and I realized that what I was lacking for was a personal weapon and then... How do I describe this... Well the card started to shine and there was some pink electricity and there was an explotion boom 💥🤯 and them poof the hammer of the picture fell on my hands!!! 😶 And I felt connected to it like with the cards and few years of training latter here I am! See? I was a bit more Little back them i guess it grew up with me or maybe Is because I'm stronger 💪💪 Anyway I'm on this mission because... It happened again! I found a chaos item! A lot more powerful than my cards! It was an chaos emerald! I learnt about them thank to the cards knowledge because like I said they always tell me what I need to know and in fact when I tripped with the emerald while training the cards reacted to it and gave me my mission:

"A foreign whole planet is in grave danger, a future legendary hedgehog hero needs the emerald to save that world so you must give it to him"

And that's what I'm doing! Traveling between worlds until I find that hedgehog hero! And I hope he lets me help save that world! I'm so exited to finally have a chance to prove myself!!!😖😤

Next post will be my theory about with who will be living Amy Rose at the end of the movie

A second theory has also been tinkering in my mind… Crowley's "I'm back" line isn't him showing up after a 4 year nap but.. CROWLEY IS ABOUT TO ANNOUNCE HE'S MOVING IN WITH AZIRAPHALE.

I think an unseen moment between the two led to some kind of argument about them moving their relationship forward after thousands of years of holding back and some kind of argument happened from it. Possibly unrelated but Crowley could have gotten SO unbelievably fed up with Aziraphale's holding himself back attitude that even after ALL that happened at the end of season 1 he still won't move forward.. "together".

So Crowley runs outside the bookshop in pure annoyance and lets out a burst of demonic lightning energy in the streets and storms off in a huff.

Meanwhile, Aziraphale just thinks, "Oh, that silly wily ol serpent. Being his bitchy self as always" and goes back to his newspaper research about the strange occurrences with the Buddy Holiday song.

LATER THAT NIGHT (cause it's now dark outside. different scene from the Gabriel jump scare)

HERE HE COMES SPEEDING DOWN THE STREETS OF LONDON… CROWLEY IN THE BENTELY.. FULL OF HIS STUFF. READY TO MAKE A GRAND GESTURE… "I'm back." AND "I'M MOVING IN WITH YOU, ANGEL."

Probably cause I'm in the middle of a big house move myself currently, when I first saw the running theme of naked Gabriel and the BOX. OH SO MANY BOXES. I immediately thought, "Oh! They're moving in together!"

But it wasn't until the trailer and someone pointing out the plants in Crowley's car in one shot and possibly more stuff in his car in the first few seconds of the trailer…

This is Crowley's BIG GESTURE.

He's taking it upon himself to pack up his things and move in with Aziraphale to show his Angel just how much he means to him and wants to finally be closer to him now that they're on "their own side" finally.

So, Crowley's, "I'm back" line to me was him sauntering in after a big "OH EFF IT! I GOTTA DO EVERYTHING AROUND HERE, DON'T I!?" meltdown moment of lightning frustration and then trying to act all cool and suave, take off his glasses, announce with a ring of the bell to the Angel sitting RIGHT THERE and.. Aziraphale has no idea what is about to happen.

He's probably thinking, "Oh, Crowley. Throwing a fit and running off and here he is again. What more could he possibly want to argue about now?"

So he plays it cool and calm. Like the parent pointing out the obvious to a child after they just had a tantrum. He gets up and calmly straightens his vest, ready for the next bought of ridiculousness and… Crowley tells him he wants to move in.. together. <3

I HOPE. I HOPE. I HOPE. I HOPE.

OR.. A MORE LIKELY SCENARIO....

He gets mad at Aziraphale saying that amnesiac Gabriel must be protected and stay at the bookshop with him. Crowley fights with Aziraphale over it being too dangerous, so he runs out in frustration, lightning in the streets, packs up his stuff in a huff and comes rushing back to protect his Angel..

"IF HE STAYS.. THEN I'M STAYING HERE, TOO." lol

Am I reading too much into this? Anyone else have this theory yet? Am I just wishful thinking? lol Which of the 2 scenarios do you think is more true? I want it to be the 1st but the 2nd one is probably more likely to happen. lol HELP I NEED SEASON 2, LIKE YESTERDAY D:

Sweet Home 3 Official Trailer Personal Breakdown

Some little narration from monster Hyun-su with flashbacks of the last two seasons moment of them. Neat, I like it

Yi-kyung's daughter seems surprised (and kinda scared). Maybe when she realizes who her father is or she's realizing how bad the situation is in the stadium once it's already too late to go back to her peaceful garden? But who knows

Alright, how we go from monster Hyun-su having no sense of privacy at the last episode of season 2 to a scene of him and Eun-yu laying down separately like a divorced couple sleeping on different beds in season 3?

I guess the scene where Hyun-su parted with Eun-yu is after the night attack or well whatever, the main point is it's before the time skip. Also this is most likely the last time we see him with his best hairstyle before he went back to his older one and wearing some fancy clothes because why not. As for Eun-yu and Chan-young, maybe they went back to the stadium? But I don't know

What's this last step of monsterization Eun-hyeok mentioned? I thought it's just stop at the infected regaining full control over themselves after 15 days and got a cool superpower (although most are just variations of fleshy kinda icky stretched limbs, no not you Hyun-su your wing is cool) 🤔 Second power-up stuff, maybe?

So monster Hyun-su attacking Chan-young might have just been a red herring (gladly because whatever the reason they fight it does not make sense for both characters). There's another nasty murderous monster near the hospital at night and Chan-young probably planned a suicide attack with the explosion because duh what else a feeble human like me gonna do against a monster immune to firearms. Monster Hyun-su ofc got his shared abandonment issue with Hyun-su triggered and his immediate response is unconventionally grabbing Chan-young away before he could do something reckless. Hopefully that's what actually happened

On the other hand, THIS (Hyun-su vs Eun-hyeok) is the actual fight (more like little brawl you saw on school tho before Hyun-su uses his wing). Does remind me that the first thing Hyun-su did after waking up in S2E1 is beating up Sang-won (though unsuccessful in the end because he's skewered like a kebab on the vehicle ceiling shortly after). I could see it as both reference and parallel with the scene I just mentioned: Hyun-su saw what he thought is a Green Home survivor he knew who "died" in season 1 and then got into fight with them inside a large vehicle. He probably thought Eun-hyeok went through a similar unfortunate fate like Sang-wook, so he fought him out of anger. Except Eun-hyeok is Eun-hyeok and his corpse is not possessed by someone else with a penchant of pushing Hyun-su's buttons *side eye to Sang-won*. Also he's very much alive and in control of himself. Notice that the outcome is also both of them talking in peace and some bromance bromance vibe

I just noticed that Hyun-su's wing is covered in fire! He's very much ok, so this is an improvement and could be vital in a fight against the monsters

I'm not sure how it really went when the Neohumans going to the stadium? Is it peaceful until the soldiers start attacking? Or is it attacking first before they comply? Or they start attacking after the time skip? Once again, Sergeant Tak, I know you 100% don't trust that motherfucker, so it's not too late to burn Sang-won with your gasoline stock. And make sure not even his ashes remain this time. He's kinda slippery so make sure he does not slip away and find another corpse to possess for the third time

You could see how obvious the "I don't wanna be here" look on the facility girl's face when the Neohumans gang are on the stadium. Poor girl

"Oraenmanieyo" (⁠◔⁠‿⁠◔⁠) ah, Hyun-su finally met with Sang-won again after ages. Can't wait for the unlimited stabbing and flirting 👀 Their long overdue meeting probably happened during the epic showdown at night between Hyun-su & Eun-hyeok (& others if there's any who's willing to die) vs evil Neohumans for the final battle, because it's on night as well and there's fire

Um so what's going on between Yi-kyung and Hyun-su? Whatever it is, I have a bad feeling about it, just like their fight last season

About the Season 2 of Earthspark

Well, first, I'm going to be honest, I didn't watch all the episodes. Mostly because it was to painful for me to see Decepticons being classified as evil again...

I watched the beginning and the end. And even in seeing only that, I'm so disappointed... Maybe some of you like the S2, and I envy you so much for that...

Because, for me, it was just painful. The characters became black and white again. When what I loved in S1 was the grey. Of course, S1 wasn't perfect, but the story was so good, and the characters so deep.

I just had the feeling that I watch an other series. Breakdown want to break some Maltos, even if he was friend with Bee and litteraly save his life in S1! And don't push me on Starscream... I was just... woaw... again...

I again have to endure the fact that "it was all an act, he don't have good in him". I'm just tired in fact... Tired of enduring, in every story, an evil Starscream, when we all know that any character is more grey that any other color.

I'm not against an evil Starscream, not at all. But not in Earthspark! Not after the season 1! You can't do that! You just can't! If it was an other series, I would say : "Well, why not, it's can be cool!".

But after all the hope I had, that he'll be a member of the Maltos family. Or yes, the leader of the Decepticons! When I saw the trailer, I was like, hm OK. Why not, you know. I even like the idea to see the Decepticons and the Maltos fight for something. All the angst. To side fighting for different ideas, but also remember the past. Hasthag who try to reasonate Starscream, for example.

Example of stories I would have prefer to see: The Amberstone can create a new space portal, and then allows the Transformers to go back to Cybertron. But by doing that, it means putting the Earth in danger, or something, I don't know.

Or, it's Shockwave the true villain. I mean, we saw in a lot of comics that he can be a real jerk. Also, it's Mister Logic and No Compassion. It would have be more logic (lol) that he's the one with the idea of a weapon who can cyberform Earth. And yes, cyberform it, not waking up a Titan!

Plus, Shockwave shown no empathy to the Terrans, even hating them with all his guts. Yes, that changes at the end of S1, because he helped with the others. But maybe you can put some Decepticons on the side of: we have to help the kids. And the other, on the side of: I don't want to die, so I don't have other choice to help.

So, let's keep the idea of cyberforming Earth. Shockwave tell the others that Cybertron is dead (it's can be a lie, for that matter, it can make even more drama), so their only solution is to cyberform Earth, because soon there will be no energon anymore. Since Earth is organic, you know.

Then, it's up to the Maltos to stop the plan of Shockwave, and maybe trying to do allies with some of the Decepticons. As for the Chaos Terrans (what a name...), their not obligatory evil. I don't know, you can even let Shockwave create them, programing them to be like that. Aftermath is the first, and he's not really done, wich make him sometimes questionning the plan. While Spitfire is indeed a little b*tch, but really don't like the way Shockwave treat her (since she's a Terran too, you know)

And, Starscream lead the Decepticons with Shockwave, who give advice. But more the time pass, more Starscream feel that it's really wrong. Particulary about Hashtag. I know he can't be affectionnate with all the Maltos, but at least Hashtag and Twitch. Then you can create an other side, like in Cyberverse : Shockwave and the others Decepticons, Starscream and the Seekers, and the Maltos.

And the paranoid mind of Starscream prefer that he's the one with all the power of the Amberstone than Shockwave or humans with Megatron. On the other side, Shockwave just want to save the species who's really worth it (the Transformers), and don't understand why the Autobots or Megatron don't join his side. Since his idea is the more logical.

Woe! Chapters 14-16 pictures be upon ye! So I’ve actually got at least 1 more chapter 16 picture to do, but I finished these and wanted to post them! I’m super happy with how that shoe turned out lol. Sorry DCA fandom, these ones are just y/n!

Now! Silly thought time! I used the red rock tunnel in Utah as my reference picture for the first image. I always saw the much beloved duo going to a more Arizona/New Mexico type desert? But the rock tunnel looked super cool and gave the “red rock mountainous” effect I wanted so I think it all worked out!

The detector scene has actually always KILLED me XD. Not THE detector scene, but when y/n is having a cardiac event over watching two green blips chase each other around with no animatronic buddy to explain away the “glitches”? My gosh. The imagery of Eclipse chasing Shoh across the desert while yakkety sax plays plagues me. I think I’m going to tuck that one into a corner as a spot drawing, hence the odd shape.

AND THE SHOE! The reveal of Vanessa’s trailer and the horror show within? Makes my heart ache. I cannot fathom the cold aching terror of realizing that your friend’s home, and by extension your FRIEND, is being used to do unspeakable things. Just a really well written scene. Not only preceded by Lambert’s gruesome death, but then immediately followed by the big reveal and the fight with Shoh???? MMMMM GOOD STUFF!!!

(Also, an aside here, my mom came in while I was finishing this one and said that the shoe looked just like my 2 yr old nephew’s. I was both complimented and also did NOT have the heart to tell her context for the scene. Thanks for making it so much sadder mom ❤️)

Finally talking about season 5 because I’ve been putting it off

Notes won’t be in order at all and are mostly about the final episodes

Spoilers BOGOOA BOOO!!!!

When people were saying that Sean had really gone all out this season, I was like “oh ok maybe there’s a kinda sad scene or a really heartfelt scene”. NO. I WAS SO WRONG. I was NOT prepared for the scene of him screaming and wailing to the point of his voice cracking and going raw because he wanted Mk to stop so badly. I did not ever imagine I was going to see that and I’m still not over it. If I see it again, I get chills every time and I’m in love.

Nine-headed demons full form is so cool! I can’t believe we saw that before the trailer even dropped and I thought nothing of it! I thought it was just going to be another guardian of the stone! God the designs in this show rock

Mk saying “don’t make me do this” was perfect. It was so quiet, so small and full of emotion. Had he planned since that first moment he was going to use the circlet? He knew since like episode two that he was going to be doing something EVERYONE wouldn’t want him to do and- presumably- it became clear really fast to him what that was. Was he planning all along?

I cannot stress this enough- THE FIGHT IN EPISODE ONE FORESHADOWED THE FIGHT IN EPISODE NINE.

Nuwa saying I’m so proud of you, her voice actor is completely perfect for her. It was so soft and gentle :(((

Mk crying from joy. He should never have to be in that position, it is so unfair that he was created just to die- over and over and over again. I’m so glad he found another way.

Nuwa saying “my sacrifice AND yours” what did she sacrifice? When she fixed the pillar the first time, was she the one that entered the pillar to fix the sky along with the stones?

WHERE IS NUWA EXACTLY??? Is that just what- the inside of the pillar looks like?

Oh my GOD Wukong catching Mk made me want to throw up. That little bit where we see it through Mk’s eyes kills me every single time.

People gaining elemental powers? Is that- every person who didn’t already have any? Like- some went into Red son did he gain MORE power like that one fire sneeze girl or is he the same? If he is, he’ll be mad LMAO

The chaos HHUUUGHGHGHB ITS SO PRETTY? I don’t know if it’s supposed to be unnerving but I want to stare at it for hours it’s so cool. Where is that? Outside the universe? How does the chaos affect things? WHO IS “HE?” I looked up Xiangliu and the only person I could associate that with was Gonggong who is another snake like entity.

Gonggong also knocked one of the eight pillars (theres eight?) holding up the sky and ends up dying in a battle with someone called Zhurong who is a fire god and has some story with Nuwa!

They’re all snakes. What is with snakes in this world?

Was Macaque still investigating? At the end, he’s in the court room again for some reason and at the start of the season he said he was looking around for stuff related to Mk. Macaque is a hero and he cannot deny it anymore.

Oh yeah the ten kings of the underworld are dead. What the fuck happens to dead people now?

Why does Macaque have chaos magic, who did he make a deal with and WHY WAS IT ON THE STAFF.

Li Jing is a complete asshole. If we’re basing him off canon then there’s no return but if him vandalising his son’s grave ISNT CANON, then he’s just bad dad. I hope he trips and falls over and embarrassingly gets a bruise on his forehead.

I love Nuwa but I also hate her sm right now. Why did there have to be a cycle? Because there needed to be someone to fix the sky? Because that person would never be enough and they weren’t fixing the sky they were resetting it all instead? This is down to Nuwa underestimating the world- we see that- but I just cannot get over that she made a baby for the sole purpose of dying. He gets up, he gets the stones, he dies. He experiences nothing, he speaks to no one.

And Mk has absolutely had that life a thousand times.

But she doesn’t react as emotionally as I wished she had. This is nothing against the writers, I am just a Nuwa hater and lover rn. She was perfect, so cool, such an amazing character but she still needs to pay child support.

Kung Fu Panda 4 Review

Ok, I saw the movie yesterday and I have some thoughts. I think the film is good, but no where near the level of the first two. It's more like the third tonally. But tbf, nothing can top the second film in my opinion. KFP 2 really stepped up in its depth both in terms of its villain and message. The fourth film is very much the opposite. It's also very predictable and you can easily figure out what was gonna happen pretty early on.

What I liked: the animation is still gorgeous. Seriously, there were some very visually pleasing shots. The character models all looked great and I thought it was cool how the villain still has scales when she transforms. The music is also really nice and fun to listen to. The voice acting was also good and I thought Awkafina did a good job (major step up from Scuttle).

Po's dads were also really fun when on screen. It's nice to see them bond over Po and they do work well off of each other. They were the best part of the film, animation aside. The villain is also pretty cool with her abilities. We will talk about her more in a bit. And I did like Zhen and I'm looking forward to see what they do with her in the future. She's energetic and I did like her design.

What I didn't like: too. much. comedy. Ok look, I know this is an animated film for kids, but what made the first three films (particularly the second one) so good is that the balanced the jokes with depth. This film does have some messages, but it's intercut with so many jokes during dialogue that it takes away from it. They really needed to let this film breathe and have more serious moments to just talk and let things sink in. The villain brought back the old villains and stole their abilities (this was in trailer so not really spoiler). Why don't they do more with that? There is so much untapped potential here.

And that's my other big issue with the film: so much potential. Some of the ideas in this film are really, really good, but they only scratch the surface with it. I wanted to know more about the villain. I wanted to see our fave villains interact more. I wanted to see the villain use her powers more. But we don't get that; we only get the bare minimum. In simpler terms, there's no big "wow!" moment that the other films had.

Spoilers below (tread carefully)

Why did they bring the villains back if they were going to do almost nothing with them? The climax of the film was the Chameleon stealing the villains' abilities and fighting Po but we pretty much saw that in the trailer. Tai Lung gets to do some stuff, but I wanted more. Half of his lines were jokes anyway and I didn't vibe with it. Why did they bring him back if he was just gonna comment on things? I don't remember our favorite snow leopard being this comical. He did quip, but there was still a hardened edge to him. Idk. Maybe he got therapy in the spirit realm. Shen and Kai get crumbs, but again, they could've done so much more. And wasn't Kai destroyed completely?

With Shen and Tai Lung, I would've wanted to see more. I'm glad Tai Lung did finally come to respect Po and it does make sense. But Shen? The last time we saw him he rejected Po's help. Unless he too got the same spirit realm therapy Tai Lung did, him bowing to Po does feel very OOC. Nitpicking further, why was Shen brought back anyway? The Chameleon presumably doesn't know who Po is and Shen isn't a kung fu master. With the exception of the fanservice route, this choice only makes sense if the Chameleon was aware of Shen's actions in Gongmen and thought his level of evil would fit her vibe.

Nitpicking aside, there was so much opportunity for Po to confront his villains again and have a deep, serious moment with them. Whether either side likes it or not, they're reunited for a short amount of time. Why not capitalize on this great opportunity?

Speaking of the villain, so much untapped potential. Her design is great, her abilities are really cool, and Viola Davis does a good job voicing her. So why doesn't she get to do more? Imagine a really cool fight sequence where Po confronts her, but she shifts so much that it begins to mess with his head. Or she transforms into the older villains and Po is caught off guard? Instead, we get half the climax spoiled for us in the trailer. What was really cool about the other three was that we got multiple fight scenes with them to showcase their abilities. Thus, the final battle dialed it up to an 11 and we got a truly epic finale. Here, it feels like there should've been more, but there wasn't. Even her backstory feels lacking. It's there... but only surface level. Even Shen, arguably the cruelest of them all, had nuance and depth.

Also, why couldn't we get more of the Furious Five outside of a glorified cameo? Tigress and Po friendship is truly amazing.

As much as the jokes miss, there are some good bits. Shifu trying to deal with Po's shenanigans always crack me up. I also like the bit where Po tries to meditate and his thoughts get in the way. Because hey guess what, that's what my head is like and it's really freaking hard to quiet it down. So, there's that. I just wish the writers didn't feel like they had to insert jokes in almost every line of dialogue, you know? Li and Ping dad adventures are great except half the lines are jokes about how worried they are for Po or how not tough they are. Why not have a deeper conversation? I think it would make everything feel more natural.

I also wish Po himself was a tad more mature. I'm not expecting Shifu or Tigress levels of seriousness, but I felt that he kinda was a bit too childish. Po is one of those characters who loves to have fun, but knows when he has to be serious. However, he also likes to lighten things up with comedy. In this movie, it felt like he only really leaned into the comedy side of things. He had his moments, but I'll be honest, I really missed the "the only thing that matters is what you choose to be now" levels of dialogue. The proverb joke got old real fast, ok?

Grace Randolph from Beyond the Trailer described this movie as episodic and I can see it. The story bits are very segmented between the villain, heroes, and Po's dads. The flow and pacing of this film really needed to be upgraded.

Ok, that's all I got for now. I'm sure I'll think of something else to say (aside from encouraging everyone to rewatch KFP 2 because I'll never get enough of that film).

My favourite Starbula moments:

When I saw Nebula carrying Peter scene in the trailer, I knew something changed between them.

I loved how much Nebula cared for him and was worried. She was upset looking at his condition deteriorating and felt helpless.

The way everyone was asking her if Peter is okay, what she thinks they should do with him is such a 'significant other' position of her.

The touching scene was so soft between them. She was heartbroken but made peace with it. I felt bad because she might have accepted the fact that she will always come second to Gamora.

Towards the ending,when Mantis shouted at her for being rude to everyone, it felt her anger comes from a lot of self hatred; what Thanos did to her.

"She calls me Star Lord when she is angry" is such a cute moment. That's something a couple would do. 🤭

I loved how much it affected Peter.

"Let me in" when Peter said this to Nebula while she was entering the dressing room... My dirty mind 😳😅

I mean he said it in such a normal way. Did they changed their clothes together before??? Are they comfortable???

The eye scene just made me their fan. When Nebula dismissed Peter's feelings and that hahaha. I'm like 'Girl don't lie... You feel something.'

I don't know why... Peter could have said no to Gamora's words, but he didn't and instantly stared at Nebula. As if, he felt something but never paid attention to it and this is the first time someone said it loud and he acknowledged it.

Later, Peter helping injured Nebula got me thinking. Either Gamora or Mantis could have supported her and Peter should have been with Drax due to the physicality.

I loved when Nebula protected Peter from Gamora and admitted that he is family to her. Looking at her temperament, she could have shouted at him for bothering her sister as well as not focusing on the mission. She never did throughout the whole movie.

The argument between Mantis and Nebula is such a funny sister in laws moment and Peter shouting at both of them to stop. 😂

Nebula not able to open the door and later Peter unable to drive. I agree with everyone who said they are giving old married couple vibes.

Peter insisting her to stay when High Evolutionary called only Peter and Groot, that they will be alright while she was still worried. Her jumping onto the spaceship when things went south.

Her calling Peter to let him know help is coming. Peter being disappointed, that she knows him better and he always finds a way.

Their epic fight scene was 🔥🔥🔥

They were so much in sync.

Nebula almost losing it when Peter was saved and him asking her if that looked cool was such an adorable moment.

Later, Nebula asking him whether he is alright after Gamora left was also a touching scene.

From the beginning to the end, she always cared for him and was there for him.

I hope this is not the end and we get to see more of their relationship develop. 🤞

Alright, I thought long and hard about what we might see in Arcane Season 2, what the Machine Herald is going to look like, who else we might see, and so on.

Also, this post does not contain any leaks, I have seen one picture, which doesn't even make sense (lucky me). If you spoil anything under this post, you are going to be blocked. I will talk about bout the trailers, though.

So, let me get my thoughts in some order:

- if Viktor was the hooded person in the trailer or wears a mask, then it's probably more because of his side in this war: he's not a Piltovan, but also not really a Zaunite anymore. We don't know when he moved from the Undercity to Piltover, but from his concept art, it was most likely during his early teens.

He's slightly younger than in S1 Arc1, but already wearing the Academy's uniform (though it seems a bit too big for him, and his pants are more rigged).

So: Viktor is going to be a Pariah and he is going to need to hide his identity, which makes a Collab with Jinx unlikely since she's on the run from everyone. Singed might be there in the direct aftermath after he got blown up, but they're probably going to fall out again since lore-wise Singed is going to team up with Noxus.

- In League of Legends Heimerdinger is a mage (shooketh, I know), and there's already a scene in S1 alluding to this: when Viktor and Heimerdinger are in Heimerdinger's office, Viktor goes through Jayce's notes and is intrigued. He asks Heimerdinger, whether he could do it (magic) and Heimerdinger hesitates a tell-tale second before he declines. Now, Heimerdinger might be a mage, but he relies mostly on his inventions. But wouldn't a fight between Viktor and Heimerdinger be cool? First, they throw ideologies at each other, then they fight. I think, I'd love this even more than Viktor vs. Jayce. Kinda like Obi-Wan vs. Anakin.

- I think, that Caitlyn is going to shoot Vi. Everyone I read so far thinks that it's the other way around, but that would be too predictable in my opinion. But maybe it is that way.

- Just stating that everyone is going to be contrary than they were in S1 and going from there falls a bit short. I think, that there's more to this quote.

- Divorce Era, because Jayce does, in fact, not understand. I am going to cry.

- The Hexcore will save Viktor's life in the aftermath of the explosion, and there are three ways I can see that happening:

(1) Viktor does it himself, maybe with the help from Singed.

(2) Jayce does it, thus breaking his promise to destroy it. I am going to cry

(3) The Hexcore, which is now connected to Viktor will sense his doom and burst to him. That might also be the shine, that Heimerdinger saw in the trailer.

- That brings me to another point, to the connection towards the Void: I don't think there's much to it and that the Hexcrystals are not shards of the brakken. However, I think the Hexcore is sentient due to Sky. Think about it: it changed its form after it disintegrated (or absorbed) Sky. Then it hurt Viktor (honestly, same. You think, you can walk away after accidentally dusting me and threatening to destroy my new essence? I'd be pissed). It might be interesting, if the Hexcore/Sky talks to Viktor in his head, furthering his spiral into madness. I'm here for it.

- Ekko will learn how to manipulate time and he will use it to try and save somebody. Be it somebody from the Firelights, their hideout or Jinx. Maybe it will go in the same direction like in the Convergence-Comic (which is, I repeat, outside of any lore), maybe not.

- Well then, what Viktor might look like: my favourite head-canon would be just as described in The Pulse of the Machine by bringthekaos on AO3. Mechanical eyes? Voice modulator can be shut off? Emotional suppressor has a switch? Rawrs in cyber-engineering. As it stands, I imagine it more to be like Battle Angel Alita (the manga, NOT the film!) or like a Borg from Star Trek. Definitely NOT like a Cyberman from Doctor Who.

- Who else do I want to see in S2:

Swain, just give me the Noxian General and heal my Daddy issues.

Renata, just give me the Chem-Baronness and heal my Mommy issues.

Jhin, Arcane should take place around the same time when Jhin was in Zaun. But that is a far shot (pun intended)

Camille, she exploits Hextech to become a weapon and I think she is kind of contrary to Viktor, who only ever wanted to help (others, himself, though with sometimes dubious means

I don't see that Orianna is Singed's daughter. That would fuck her beautiful lore. Don't do that to me.

Stuff, I'd also like to see:

- Viktor's apartment in Piltover

- Viktor's parents (flashback)

- Jayce's father (flashback)

- Jayce and Viktor fighting but unable to do so properly

- Mel and Sevika together

Sonic 3 Spoiler Post Wheyyyyy

I’m gonna talk about literally everything so if you still haven’t seen the movie then scroll away, I will be adding images a week after this post goes up as well so yeah. This is NOT going to be well thought out at all it’s just going to be a ramble fest because why not shejsjjejejs

The fact that they made Live And Learn a song Maria wrote gives it SO much more meaning and a reason for the song to be included in the movie (besides fanservice lmao), a story line centred around the process of grief culminating with a grandiose reprise of a song made by the person one of the characters is grieving? CINEMA

The third act was incredible of course but god I wish they stopped going back and forth with the Robotnik stuff, the switch ups between the immaculate fight choreography and the slapstick bullshit really began to run its course and I was just waiting for peak to start again

Speaking of those fight scenes OH MY GOD THE FIGHT CHOREOGRAPHY IS SOME OF THE BEST THIS SERIES HAS EVER HAD IT WAS ON SOME DRAGON BALL TYPE SHIT. When Super Sonic and Super Shadow were beating the everloving fuck out of each other in different countries I was stimming like crazy

Knuckles is the unsung MVP of this movie and I’m so happy they got to show his character development in a really natural way, he’s really become a big brother figure for the other two and the way he tried to talk Sonic down after Tom almost died really got to me he’s come so far 🥹

When the trailer fakeout shot came up I was LOSING IT 😭

Also I want to know what the cinematographer was smoking because some of the shots in this thing are BEAUTIFUL, especially the ones in space (when Sonic and Shadow enter their super forms and go around like blazing comets I was going crazy)

The colour grading is a huge step up from the last two movies as well, you can tell the budget went up because the models here are stunning (especially Shadow’s)

I wish Live And Learn got to play a little longer but I’m just happy they included it either way (when the vocals came in so did I)

Agent Stone continues to be one of my favourite human characters in the entire series, I honestly wouldn’t mind them adding him to the games because his dynamic with Eggman is way better than whatever Orbot and Cubot have going on

They definitely listened to the critiques for the second movie as well because the human stuff has been very toned down and I honestly think it’s for the better (and this is coming from someone who actually really likes Rachel idk man she’s just fun)

I’m pretty satisfied with how they handled Gerald outside of the usual Jim Carrey shenanigans, portraying him as a madman so consumed by grief that he’s completely willing to let Earth and himself die out of pure spite was crazy, I saw someone say that this is how he’d act if he didn’t get executed 50 years ago and I can see that pretty clearly. I loved the glimpses of humanity we get of him as well (the way he referred to both Maria AND Shadow as “kids” in the flashback made me feel like he genuinely did care for him at that point and the death of Maria just threw him off the deep end)

The scene of Shadow and Gerald finding Maria’s body was DEVASTATING, the way Shadow didn’t know if she was dead at first and all it took was to see how heartbroken Gerald was to figure it out killed me 😔

Speaking of which they actually did a rewrite for Shadow’s backstory while keeping a lot of the same elements and I’m pretty happy with it for the most part, him coming to earth in a comet is black arms foreshadowing 100% and the flashbacks of him and Maria just hanging out and having fun like normal kids was really nice (the inclusion of the biolizard being the monster in the movie they were watching was really cool too I didn’t even notice that at first until someone pointed it out)

Despite these changes he was handled SO well, Keanu did a great job voicing him and to hear that he actually wanted to play the character made me so happy, it’s almost like getting people who give a shit about the source material is a really important factor of making adaptations succeed idk

The reason why Maria’s around though is kind of weak? She isn’t ill in this version and the only reason she’s in the lab is because Gerald takes her everywhere? That’s it? Why couldn’t they have said that he adopted her or something? (Or maybe her parents had an incurable illness that Gerald tried and failed to help with so he took her in after the fact idk)

Ben Schwartz popped OFF in the third act god I love it watching whimsical characters completely losing their shit after they’ve been pushed too far

The fact that the iconic “announcement” was changed to a tragic yaoi send off is beautiful, I hope Agent Stone comes back in future movies his dynamic with Tails was really cute

Pansexual Eggman is now canon we are so back

Loved the brief snippet of E.G.G.M.A.N, it played for five seconds but I was stimming anyway

The soundtrack is also a huge step up from the first two movies as well (also Throw It All Away is one of the song titles holy shit)

The post credits scene was PEAK I love Metal Sonic and Amy’s designs so much, Im really interested to see if it’ll be a loose adaptation of Sonic CD or it’ll be its own thing (maybe Amy and Metal are originally from the games’ bad timeline and that’s how Silver shows up later? I’m not sure, I just want Silver fans to get SOMETHING they’ve been fucking starving bro I feel bad for them 😭)

So, i watched "The Last Dance"..

Briefly about the third part: This is very bad.

I would describe this after moving away from the first impressions to make it more clear, but right now for me it feels like the third, in theory dramatic and important part was given to be written by a person who hates or is completely indifferent to the franchise. At the very beginning, the villain seems to be talking to the viewers themselves and immediately, with pathos, dumps into the void who he is, why he is like this and what he wants to do. Yeah, the viewers are just children, they will not understand his motives if they are revealed gradually and to the point..

Then the "serious" part goes to the funny part, where Eddie's other made him get completely wasted and Hardy keeps this drunk look almost until the finale, and then they put on a stolen, and piss-stained tuxedo to go to the casino. Ha-ha, nothing prevented Venom from making a costume out of himself, like in cartoons or comics? But no, we really needed toilet jokes about Eddie, ugh, gross.. But everything is tied to the fact that the main villain is hunting our sweet couple with the help of the symbiote eaters in order to remove an object like a key from their body, which will help him get out of the planet, where the symbiotes themselves once imprisoned him. The main villain, Knull, is their creator, and they are his weapon for enslaving the world, but as we know from the comics, the goos liked to live by the host's morality, and not just their creator, so they locked him in a personal prison so that he wouldn’t bully in the world. But I won’t drag it out, Venom seems to sacrifice himself to destroy the key formed in his and Eddie’s body, which can set Knull free. Many saw in this a bunch of allusions to pregnancy and forced abortions (alright, pregnant men are not exactly a rarity in comics), but I sat with a cringe face. I wasn’t sad about the ending, I wasn’t happy for most of the film, I felt bad because of my own indifference and how poorly the drama was staged in this piece of mockery of the first film. There was a lot of humor in it, too, but it wasn’t so forced, and the drama was so raw. My friend was surprised that I didn't liked this part, since the other two brought me more good impressions, but how can I like the part where the characters hint at the end how bad it will be for them without each other, when the whole movie Eddie did nothing but get irritated by his "beloved" who went crazy because of the knowledge of his imminent death(Venny knows that he can't turn into true form because it's mortally dangerous, but he still does it just to dance. This is a bad movie as a comedy, it's a bad movie as a romance and bad as an action movie, where they introduced a bunch of other symbiotes to mow them down in one fight and introduce of another inclusivity with a strong woman, but not like Ellen Ripley, determined and brave in the face of alien danger, but a bug-eyed broad with the ability to shoot lightning from her hands and run like Flash, without whom nothing would have been sorted out.

Pros: Dynamic trailer, which caused more emotions than the film itself. Well, and Venom-horse was cool, yeah...

Cons: Inept drama that you don't believe in. Unfunny and inappropriate jokes. Too short film timing. Not a single mention of Anne and Dan.. :'/

Verdict: Nonsense, I don't know how such a disgrace can be presented to us as a dramatic finale to a trilogy. >:/
