'why did you grow up without me' will always be one of my favorite relationship dynamic tropes. doesn't matter if it's romantic or platonic it's about the loss of someone you thought you would always know better than anyone and the day you realize that they've changed into someone you can barely recognize and there's nothing you can do about it. mourning a person who's still alive but the version of them that you loved is dead. it's not even that they've done something wrong they just got older and so you can't even rationally hate them but sometimes you do anyway.

ppl be getting real mad about new vegas getting retconned in the show, but im replaying new vegas rn and honestly, like. the ncr is pretty fucked back home. they seem well put together to an extent, but the ncr was in vegas for power and its because they couldnt get it well enough back home. i wouldnt call "the ncr lost new vegas in the show canon" a retcon, its just bethesda adding on.

the soldiers in new vegas talk about how fucked the ncr is frequently, so i dont think the "fall of shady sands" labeled on the timeline was the bombing, because theres another arrow after it to indicate more time has passed pre-re-nuke and the nuking itself is unlabeled.

from my perspective 2277 could just be marking the beginning for the ncrs major decline into poverty as a faction, or when conflict with the legion became a major danger to their position.

listen i was ready to be mad at bethesda about this show too, but bad stuff happening after the events of a game being shown in the show isnt what id call retconning. they just couldve labeled the damn nuking with a year as well, but alas, they didnt and made everybody mad.

post-macdennis reveal episode in the same vein as "the gang spies like u.s." where mac and dennis get tired of fighting and decide to look for a third partner for casual sex so they can both bottom get what they want. except they have a hard time finding a guy they're a. both attracted to and b. neither of them are jealous of, so they keep sabotaging/scaring away each candidate.

meanwhile, charlie sees them sneaking around to screen all these guys and thinks they're trying to replace him with another gay friend since they're both gay now. a confused confrontation ensues where he essentially re-applies to be their friend by bringing up all the weird shit they've done together over the last 30 years and insisting he can fulfill all of their needs even though he's not also gay.

dennis and mac misunderstanding this and freaking out while considering whether they should/want to just fuck charlie until everything finally blows up.

I know I've been on about this for a while now and I'm being a hater but you're telling me SydCarmy was "always meant to be platonic" even though there are two seasons of writing making use of tried-and-true explicitly romantic tropes, themes and writing signals, and SydLuca is going to be romantic because...he was nice to her on screen for a few minutes?

I don't even care if people ship SydLuca, or if they just prefer it, but you can't honestly tell me that you believe Carmy was always meant to be a friend but Luca is an obvious love interest.

Just because Syd and Carmy haven't kissed or confessed their love to each other doesn't mean that isn't very obviously the direction this show is going. The Bear has already shown you who is endgame. It has shown you every episode of the show so far.

Honestly I really don't think The Bear fanbase understands this show or cares about these characters or the story being told here, which is unfortunate because this show is shockingly well-written in comparison to most shows right now, and we should be so grateful for it but all we're doing is complaining that the writers led us on by not making a ship canon fast enough. It's just. Sad.

What is with the practically psychotic hate for Lance Stroll? I'm not even his fan- more indifferent- but the hate he gets is sickening. Like just see the recent 'Never have I ever' vid- so many top comments on youtube, instagram etc. are just spouting shit about him (attacking his looks, calling him window licker wtf etc.) based off the 'Never have I ever stood up someone question' (and of course they conveniently ignore all the other drivers that also said they have because it's trendy to hate on Stroll).

Of course, standing up someone sucks but first of all we have no context at all, and more importantly, it's clear the commenters don't actl give a shit about that because they're only hating on Stroll. This is literally just one instance of the way these F1 'fans' are so quick to seize any opportunity to put down Lance. Honestly, it's so off-putting, pathetic and sad.

Hi! Do you know what his thing is with this Stone band? He shows up a lot around them and it is made visible ( as in social media postings). I have to admit the singer gives me the creeps so I am quite taken aback.

I mean Louis likes the band and loves supporting smaller bands, plus people have thought he might be working up to announcing them as the LATAM opener- and after them gathering most of the LT band and management to go to this show I would be real surprised if that wasn't the case, and honestly I wouldn't be shocked if they were cooking even more than just an opening slot
