Step 1. Look! look at everything!

I have so very many questions about things that happened, and things that did not happen, and things that maybe happened, and I want to know them. I want to follow the parents of my parents' parents back through their lives and see where they were from. I want to see the tall water cars by the sea when they were new and young, and when they were still flying over the water with their white wings. I want to watch the stories on the small screen before someone decides they aren't important and hides them away. I want to see the big ground-hole-cutting animals in the south land area before we don't have them anymore. I want to see what my house looked like a hundred years ago and I want to see the people who lived here.

Step 2. Put faces to the names.

Five hundred and some years ago, there was a woman who lived in the part of the land south of where I live. She knew she was going to die soon, so she wrote down what she owned and the names of the people she loved best and said that they should have her things. This woman spun soft things from creatures into soft things for her family and to sell, and while she was sick, she understood that she would not be able to finish making her things. So she put away her machine for making the soft things into flat rows, and she wrote down that her brother should find someone to finish her soft things once she was dead.

In the now that is happening now, I have learned how to spin soft things from creatures, and I want to learn to use the machine for making the soft things into flat rows. I have read what the woman five hundred and some years ago wrote, and I would like to see her face even if she can't see mine.

Eight hundred and some years ago, there was a little kid who lived in a different land area, east and north of where I live. He drew on bits of tree skin when he was supposed to be learning to write, and in the now that is happening now, I have seen what he drew, and I draw on my small screen when I am supposed to be learning to write.

Many hundreds of years ago, there was a man who wrote his name very high up on a roof. Many hundreds of years ago, there was a person who thought we should put some stones in a very big circle. Many hundreds of years ago, there were people who lived in houses under the earth, and they stayed in their home-place under the earth for so long that the sea came up to them from far away. Many hundreds of years ago, there was a woman who lost her sharp piece of silver in a field very far away from where she was born, and very far away from the place where the piece of silver was made.

I would like to say hello to them, and to remember them, even if they cannot see me.

Step 3. Write!!

I want to know. I want to hold on to what I know, and to keep holding on, and to tell the things I know to other people. I want to tell about the woman who wanted her soft things to be finished, and about the kid who drew on pieces of tree skin, and about the man who left his tall water car by the sea that is near my home-place and forgot to come back for it, and about the people who made the very big circle out of stones.

I want to sing the songs they knew, and to know their names and say them, and to hear their songs and their names and their stories in the air in the now that is happening now.

oh ABSOLUTELY. all of my characters have their little playlists (which I never make but have memorised in my head)... maybe I'll actually write them all out sometime with my Explanations for why they fit. full line by line shit. but since I'm on my break at the minute I'll just put one for each character. dlora yelps by cosmo sheldrake and flora wallace for caelestis, second child restless child by the oh hellos for efri, the well by the crane wives for arabella, pray by the amazing devil for pax, soulless creatures by aurora for the dragonborn, are you hurting the one you love by florence + the machine for torr. I would love to expound on this but I have three minutes left lol

13. Do you have a voice claim for the character? What do you imagine the character sounds like?

I don't really do voice claims but I definitely visualise what characters sound like -- more to do with tone and vocal quirks though than the actual qualities of their voice. accents, pitch, that sort of thing. (arabella pitches her voice a little higher than natural, for example, and she has a noticeable bosmeri accent that she's kind of halfway putting on. pax always sounds very gruff in a way that reads as deliberate but is just genuinely how they sound. the dragonborn enunciates everything very carefully. caelestis has a speech impediment post-corprus that means ze can no longer pronounce zir own name)

Hi I loooove love love your hero designs and especially your Blue design I just wanted to let you know I had to look at their glove like. Several times bc it did not clock as a glove for me at first, bc the middle and ring fingers were merged (small drawing so I get it) but the 4 lighter fingertips after the black glove deadass looked like a hoof. You know those spec-bio hoof hands some people give their ungulate sapients (orcs, goatfolk etc)

and then I read the bit abt you looking for a different name for Blue and I immediately went “CALL THEM HANDS” bc they have one (1) Sheikah prosthesis and one (1) articulate hoof so “Hands” would be an uber-ironic name since. yknow. They Don’t Have Any

Anyway then I stared at it muchly until I intuited that the fingers were merged for small drawings’ sake and facepalmed at myself

my childhood teddy bear!!! ive had him since i was a kid he goes everywhere with me, his name is snowflake and hes creme coloured but its very muted now bc hes very well-loved and he has a brown bow tie like a distinguished gentleman!

14. Whats something upcoming that you're excited for?

im going to see sabrina carpenter in concert in march with my best friend!!! we got standing tickets too hehe i cant wait!!!

17. How do you feel best loved?

this is interesting im not 100% sure how to answer it but i think it means how i receive love? anyways im best loved through actions i believes words help me immensely but i think i rely on them bc ive gone a long time without touch, so im a very physically affectionate person i love hugging my friends cuddling my gf, snuggling up for movies with my nephews etc, so im probably best loved through physical touch (i think i answer that right?)

26. If you could live anywhere with anyone you want, where would it be and who would you bring?

me and my gf are actually planning on moving in together within the next year or so, if we could live anywhere tho hmm im not sure we both like it here but if we could go anywhere maybe denmark or iceland? we both really like both places so maybe there!!!

27. Do you like to garden? Have you ever grown something?

i do like to garden!! i havent done it much but i did lots when i was a kid, my nana has a very well-kept garden and we used to plant new flowers every spring together and i would also help my mum in our garden as we have a rose tree!!

i think so? i do my best to be kind to everyone i meet, im by no means perfect and im sure ive not been kind to everyone but i always try to be so hopefully that counts for something

I love the little headcanons you made up about the Awakening Men’s children! I actually thought about the potential chemistry they would have with the siblings from my awakening game and mothers (complied with most of the ships I got attached to, with Chrobin obviously but now for the others)

- Frederick/Sumia: Cynthia would probably influenced quite a bit by her brother’s antics while her brother likely grew rebellious due to Frederick unintentionally being softer on Cynthia than him. Sumia would probably be trying to bond with her son but being clumsy too, though their son is likely a mama’s boy and gets along with her better than his father

- Ricken/Nowi: Nah definitely feels small in this sibling relationship, especially if she’s the older child. She would probably try to act more mature to make up for this. Nowi likely teases her son who might be self conscious about how big he is compared to the rest of his family

- Stahl/Miriel: the potion interest would definitely make her and Laurent research buddies. Laurent’s sister likely also feels more insecure due to her brother being as smart as he is and she would try to study hard to catch up to him, only for him to reassure her that she doesn’t need to measure up to him in any way. Miriel might be caught up in her research but also reassure her daughter than it’s okay to be average

- Kellam/Cordelia: sibling rivalry at its finest. Severa is a daddy’s girl and so is her sister. They would compete over his attention nonstop. Cordelia has to play the bad cop and discipline her daughters, though she respects her second daughter’s stealth skills

- Henry/Tharja: Naga help his poor son he’s the only normal member of his family. Probably constantly trying to remove Noire’s amulet and telling her she doesn’t need it. Likely a Guinea pig to Tharja but she would care for him in her own Tharja way

- Libra/Sully: like mother like daughter, Sully would bond with her over being boyish. Probably is workout buddies with her sister Kjelle.

- Lon’qu/Olivia: Olivia would be happy to have a daughter and teach her dance, though she would feel similarly insecure about their daughter’s skill with a blade, as she similarly doesn’t feel she measures up. Inigo’s sister would be very much done with his flirting antics and often break them up. Inigo might similarly have insecurity about his sister’s blade skills especially if his father brings it up.

- Gaius ended up alone because of how the pairings fell together but we can imagine him with Anna or Say’ri

- Virion/Cherche: Cherche would definitely support her son’s poetic passion and adores reading them to Minerva. Gerome would act aloof but be fiercely protective of his brother.

- Donnel/Lissa: Owain’s sister would probably be constantly confused by his dramatics but might fall influence to them. Lissa would be a supportive mother in her daughter’s studies and help teach, even if there are some challenges.

- Vaike/Maribelle: Brady and his brother would be birds of a feather. Sensitive souls but Brady still puts a brave face because his brother is even softer than him. Maribelle would probably run the poor boy ragged with all the propriety training.

- Gregor/Panne: Yarne likely hides behind his sister because she has more courage than him but similarly worries for her safety because they’re the last taguels! Panne would likely help teach her about what the warren was like and let her get in touch with her taguel roots

- You nailed it with Frederick’s son being a mama’s boy. He’s very doting on and protective over his mother, especially since he feels guilty that he couldn’t keep her safe in the future, even though he was still just a young boy when she died.

- Now I wondering how huge Ricken’s son would be as a mankete or taguel lol. Would his beefiness as a human translate over?

- Yeah, that dynamic between Severa and her sister sounds about right. You know that if Kellam instead fathered Owain, Cynthia, or Morgan, even more nonsense will 1000% ensue. (Yes I know Sumia can’t marry Kellam but early 10’s IntSys was wrong)

- Henry’s son ABSOLUTELY has to ask his mother at least once what it is she saw in Henry. Even Tharja. Because while they may both be Plegian dark mages, they are VERY DIFFERENT Plegian dark mages.

- Oh no. You’re right about Lon’qu comparing his son to his daughter. God damn Inigo can’t catch a break.

- Poor Gaius lol. I did figure out early on that you wouldn’t be able to have all the children at once unless you either made the Robinsexual characters not be Robinsexual anymore, or chose f!Robin and then marry Chrom/Maiden. (Incidentally, I’ve been thinking of giving them an extra child, too.) Though I am VERY curious how a petty thief would manage to hook up with a devout capitalist lmao.

- Vaike’s son is absolutely softer than Brady. My idea is actually that he suffered a back injury at some point that makes physical fighting even more difficult for him than it does for Brady, so the latter does look after his brother a lot.

- Oh, Yarne is completely freaked out by his sister’s compulsive need to stir up trouble and mischief lol.

Headcanons for Callie and her sister?

Fuck what a good question. Look out, this might get sad.

They were close, for a while, for a good long while when they were kids. We’ve only ever heard mention of Callie’s mom, not her dad at all, so I imagine they bonded over the fact that they almost only had each other. They would band together, hide things from their mom. Care for each other when their mom was busy with the business and they were on their own. Cyra was fiery, a summer eladrin, someone who could always protect her emotional sister from people who hurt her.

Cyra was always someone Callie could count on. Cyra was allowed into the crime family first. She let Callie shadow her when Callie was finally allowed to start. In any meeting Cyra was in that Callie wasn’t, she would defend her younger sister, say she was doing her damn best, and maybe whomever was talking was just jealous of how good at conning people Callie was.

But god, did they react differently to the execution of their mother. I don’t remember if it was said, but I’m pretty sure it was established that they witnessed Joviere making the choice and taking the blow. Callie was, for all the ways her emotions hurt her, more in touch with her emotions than Cyra ever would be. Callie allowed herself to feel the deep hurt that came from their mother dying. Processed it a bit. She hasn’t moved on, in any way, but she’s done more work with it than Cyra. Cyra shut down when it happened. And wanted to protect Callie, the only family she had left. So she shut Callie out of the business more and more, because she wanted to protect her sister. But Callie didn’t, wouldn’t, see it that way. She thought her sister wanted her gone. So when the opportunity arose, Callie made a move.

I don’t, by any means, think that Cyra is a good person. She’s at best morally grey. But some part of her, however small, put that original bounty out on Callie in hopes she’d get some, any, information back saying that Callie was doing well. Because she does miss her sister, in some ways.

what does music mean to you? both mysic you listen to qnd or music that you play. feel free to name specific songs

to perform music is to suffer for me. i really love being able to play pieces from memory and at will, but it is truly tormentous to practice for hours and hours and hours to get to that point. however it is so so so fucking amazing to perform for other people, to finally get the right dynamics and timing and really just go "okay i guess I'll remember this piece forever now".

to listen to music is like. to lend your soul and eyes and mind to a musician for a moment. getting into a beat and putting your voice into singing the lyrics that someone else wrote is like a love letter of some sort. listening to music is like reading poetry, in that I've been told that poetry ought to convey or enrich a lived experience. and music does just this, give life to an unreal situation or deepen one's experience of a current one.

these songs have affected me deeply:

Lover, You Should've Come Over by Jeff Buckley feels rapturous. Like any good song it takes a while to really experience, but at one point I felt like I was gaining a deep and profound knowledge by listening to it. Absolutely wild song.

mos thoser by food house is an absolutely awesome song. Can't properly describe my euphoria at the lyrics, the tempo of the song, the tempo changes. It's just too good. Usually with fast songs like this (i do not know many genre names) I start to dislike them because they can be very repetitive, but after a while of liking this song I can confirm it's still damn good, gets me excited every time. Hot pink bitch named breakfast, dude.

Symphony No. 2, Mov. III (Adagio) by Rachmaninoff is long but please understand that I am big on Romantic era music and holy shit it delivers. I believe that the length of this movement is absolutely necessary to build on the themes of such a gorgeous piece. Oh my god. Check out the seven minute mark, my favourite part.

Everything She Wants by Wham! is awesome to sing to, dance to, whatever. Solid beat going, I really dig the back and forth during the vocalization bits. The jump in pitch at "Somebody tell me" just evokes a great dramatic feeling. Makes a guy want to fall to her knees and pound the floor for fun.

I'm thinking something inspired by the color scheme of that.

In terms of like structure and everything, I think I'd want something a cardassian would think is slutty on top as long as it's structured and not too loose. Perhaps a shoulderless turtleneck? And then super wide-leg palazzo pants with a similar pattern (very dense pattern at the bottom and it gets more sparse at the top)

Ok so like. We've gotten implications for a lot of characters Fred's played that are like. Kinda rich. Andres, Hugh, Armand, yknow, there's a few that are shown to be very comfortable in their lives during media. We never get a real indication to Harding's wealth in the show. His clothes, his mannerisms, of course, but we never see his house. We NEVER see his car even. We don't even see the art he's known for in the book. No, Harding's finical status is all but silent in the TV show.

Probably bc he's swimming in it.

btw - his father's name was Mayhew. Mayhew, Harding, there's i'm expecting to turn around and meet a Meriweather next. But also no one else in his family is named other than his Wife and father.

Mackinac Island runs, on a low side rn, 300k for a very inland property. The coast of the island runs 2+ Mil, and it's a family home, not a dedicated person's house. And because he had that benefit of being born with a silver spoon

He's absolutely dedicated to his job, to the end. Like he's absolutely worked to stay at the top of his field, as much as he could.
