At least, they definitely are siblings in BBC Merlin’s canon. They share Uther as a father, which makes them half-siblings. They’re often half-siblings in many variations and retellings, too.

But they weren’t always, just like how Morgana wasn’t always an antagonist/villain. Originally, she was first a healer to Arthur and was one of nine sisters of Avalon (though her true origin likely dates back farther than arthuriana and was inspired by welsh mythology/folklore. You can blame Ol Geoff of Monmouth)

It was later on, in some variations, that she was re-established as Arthur’s half-sister and a morally-grey antagonist. (She was also Merlin’s apprentice in some of these versions too lol)

When it comes to more modern retellings, her portrayal’s become very conflated with her full sister’s depictions in legend - that full sister being Morgause. Basically, creators of modern retellings were like “omfg too many characters and the names of these two sound the same anyway, and people recognise morgan/morgana more than they do morgause… Splice them, Andy.”

wait ahh this question is so general. I have to pick any newsie(s) from whichever adaptation I want. And decide on a scale of 1 to 10.

but we already know that a lot of them can sing… I think all of the livesies boys can sing at the very least a 5/10 because they were hired at least like 1/3 for the ability to sing so I’m going to do some 92sies guys.

Jacobs fam: David 4/10. Love him. He is not a singer. He is not accustomed to the singing and dancing lifestyle of the newsies. And that’s okay. Sarah 7/10 I feel like she sings to herself a lot when she’s doing busywork kinds of tasks around the house. Maybe the girls at wherever she works sing a lot too, like the newsies, who knows. Les 8/10 his voice hasn’t dropped yet so he can hit those high notes. He quickly picked up on the regular breaking into song from the newsies and because his voice is higher (for now) his singing abilities are well recognized. This might embarrass Davey a little.

hello! while i'm also jumping on the loving noe train and i really enjoy your art in general, i've been meaning to ask about certain coloring. In a handful of your noe pieces he's very very light-skinned/grayish white, to the point where it doesn't feel right. i've heard he's tricky to draw, but i really think he should be at least the shade he is in the anime...which you have portrayed him as before! i just don't understand this newer look for him in your art :( is it something you just haven't noticed? maybe im thinking about it too much, and i do hope that's all!

While I understand your concerns, it is not my intention to draw/color/portray Noé as anything else other than a POC. I'm sorry if it comes off that way.

I actually color Noé darker than the anime when doing full art pieces. But, when it comes to this very specific style, it's supposed to have a more desaturated look. I like to do this style for my asks because it differentiates it from my full pieces and it's also a lot faster for me to draw.

I really enjoy answering questions here and I like to do a few at a time when I do them. So it's just more efficient.

If we want to get into it more, I actually do not color Vanitas' skintone at all in the sketchy style. I leave him completely white with a bit of shading. Obviously I know Vanitas isn't #FFFFFF when it comes to color coding. It's genuinely not something I think about when making these.

I'd like to also note, I do use two different paint programs and my art does differ between CSP and Procreate.

I hope this cleared it up for you. I'm very sorry if my art has upset you or anyone else. Thank you for your continued support on my silly little art blog. 💜
