1.) Tony Stark. (MCU) - My ride or die, the reason I came to tumblr and the reason I started my ao3. Probably my favorite character of all time, especially the RDJ version of him though I like some of the comics runs. He’s got all my favorite traits: sluttiness, daddy issues and substance abuse problems.

2.) Amethar Rocks (Dimension 20, A Crown of Candy) - Listen, I love everything Lou Wilson has ever done at an actual play table. Kingston Brown can step on me. I want to make Fabian a sandwich, and Eursolon is incredible. But Amethar was the character I fell the most in love with. He’s fifth in line, he’s never meant to be king. He can’t even read! He tries so hard to be a good father and labors under the incredible weight of responsibility.

3.) Jon Moxley (AEW, FCW, Indies) - Whew boy I have been reading and writing Mox fics since the FCW days. His feud with Regal back then hit me so hard. He’s just such a raw, hypnotic promo that it’s impossible not to love this raw nerve of a man. (Of course this includes Ambrose and Shield fic.)

4.) Ted Lasso (Ted Lasso) - He’s soft. He’s sweet. He’s sad. His accent kind of sounds like mine. It’s nice to have a character who is always looking out for other people and striving to do the right thing. Out of this list, he’s the one character I would aspire to be.

5.) Aerith Gainsborough - (Final Fantasy VII) I may aspire to be a Ted Lasso but I spent my teens and now my adulthood wishing I could be Aerith. She’s beautiful, she takes no shit. She’s full of love, she’ll hit a man with a chair. She dies to save the world, she lives to protect her friends.

Hi hi! Wow I was seeing your posts about the end of KMKY and the future Spin-Off and it makes me very happy, I really admire you for the wisdom of giving a "bad" ending to our KMKY!Billford. (Even though I created an entire AU just out of frustration that in KMKY they didn't have the special adventures together (cough cough)

Anyway! kMKY changed my brain chemistry and my view of them just like you wanted, and damn, I accepted the idea that: they are soulmates, they love each other more than anything, but they are not meant to be together It's their own fault.

Now the question! If this is at least one, about the Spin-offs, I didn't quite understand, will they be additions or "What if's"?

Anyway! Thank you for the chapter today, it was just the day I needed to take out my frustration on something because I had BROKEN MY GLASSES IN HALF, a tragedy.

The spin offs are at this point exploring what ifs, because the timeline of knowing me knowing you has a set direction.

The idea behind the spin off is for example "I know that Bill disappeared after Ford lashed out at him at the bibliosphere, but what would happen if rather than just burning up up and away, he grabbed Stanford and brought him back to the nightmare realm?" And then that storyline would play out.

Or "what would happen if rather than just leaving the Institute of Oddology Stanford stayed for longer and realised Alternate Bill was being used as a battery?" Or "what if after Lottocron 9 Stanford was willing to spend more time with Pyronica, would he go back with her to learn more about Bill at that point?" Or "what if Stanford managed to get through to Bill in his mindscape when the Pirahn Pirates attacked the Scrap Vandals, would Bill rescue him then and what would happen after?"

I want to pick points in the storyline where they don't suddenly depart from their existing characterisation, but instead the circumstances change very slightly to allow new events to play out.

I figure given the number of alternate dimensions out there in the multiverse, exploring things outside the doomed timeline of the fic might be fun, and will give ppl more kmky goodness without changing the directory of the story excessively.

I also really like the idea of, after all the high conflict dramatic what ifs play out, the last what if chapter is softer and back when things were good between them, and it's the what if of what if they could admit their feelings for each other sooner. That would be a what if I think would both break and heal the readers in fun ways.

i used to freehand comics all the time as a child and since the part i liked was the drawing part i would just draw panel after panel because i didn't want to stop drawing to think about icky icky words, plus the story TOTALLY still made perfect sense! to me! and noone else, but 'whoooo caaaaares omgggg its not like comics and sequantial art are a communicative meeediummmm lmaoooooo'. i spent my entire childhood telling myself stuff like "oh pfft I know this story by heart- ill SIMPLY remember the dialogue and write it later" ...and. I can't help but admire baby maiora's (call that a minora ba tm tsk) fucking audacity? hubris? confident wrongness? kid couldn't even remember to finish the comics in the first place? INCREDIBLE levels of unearned self assurance, wish that were me, genuinely- what an icon!!! anyway i think i have forever cursed myself

Been wondering for a while if you have any other headcanons for your adult Ruki 🤔🙏

Ah... well, since you asked for "headcanons" it means I can go wild and ignore some of the canon, right? :3c

She had her "gay" awakening when she was watching "Digimon Adventure" while she was baby (about the age she had in the Locomon movie flashback), specifically the ep with princess Mimi. She didn't realized it until she grew up (prob in her 20s). Thanks to that, Rumiko "misread" the mood and thought Ruki wanted cute dresses and be pretty.

She's an AiM fan (thanks to Mimi), which would explain her fixation with "Yuuhi no Yakusoku", that's her fav song and has a soft spot for "My Place" too. She also listens to RAISE A SUILEN (because you know, I'm a RAS oshi too hehe).

She became a morning person quite easily thinking on how she wanted to work hard so when she meets Renamon again, they won't laugh at her for being lazy.

She's very polite, having studied in an "Ojousama" school until highschool but she's very careful to whom she greets with "Gokigenyou", she will NEVER use it with the tamers group but she does knows how to keep up appearances when needed.

The modeling job her mom "forced" her to do was with genderless clothes and during her last months of working as a model, she did more sports and formal suits (skirts were forbbiden); this gave her quite the popularity among girls and women ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°). She's thankful she has to use a helmet while riding her bike to hide her face.

Juri will always touch the "you were very ikemen as a model" topic from time to time ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

She used her model job money for her motocross gear and bikes.

Unfortunately for her, she became famous among the motor sports world and had to "become" a model again for magazines and interviews, the good thing is that she wears her gear and not "modeling" clothes. She's still popular among ladies ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

She tries to be a good example to the kids she teaches bouldering, unfortunately (again) there are moms who are very interested in her ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

She regrets very much accepting being a model at this point (but now I find it very funny XDDD help)

During summer, she does radio exercises with kids and her stamp is actually a kawaii fox instead of her last name; when older kids ask why the stamp is like that she just says "I like foxes, they are cool", younger kids don't question it as it is a cute fox.

Jian and Juri are the ones she constantly keeps in touch with; Juri is the one who almost has time to go and see her competitions everytime and she drags Hirokazu and Kenta with her, Ruki appreciates the gesture.

She developed quite the motherly instincts thanks to the kids she's been teaching in the park; then she realized that "oh, so kids are only cute and adorable when they aren't your own" but she is not so against the idea of being a mother herself (Let her adopt Miyuki and Renaharu uwu).

Once in a while, depression actually hits her so you will find her on long bike rides at night with not an specific destination. She decided she was not going to cry anymore so at the end of her rides, she might need to hit something.

She's bad at drinking and becomes a drunk terminator, at the end of her destruction, she cries so, she prefers to avoid drinking but she can do it in moderation.

Thanks to her motocross career, she moved out of her house and lives in a relatively big apartment (model money is convenient); she lives alone but Juri has often suggested to live together, Ruki is not really ready for it yet.

Living alone means taking care of yourself so she's actually a good cook and procures to stay healthy (and buffy), cooking is a hobby she didn't expect to develop but here she is.

She keeps a few plants that does not need much water as she's out most of the time, but surprinsingly she keeps her apartment tidy and clean.

One time she was on TV (thanks to her competition being aired) and got interviewed upon winning; later that week people connected the dots and said she was one of the kids who were fighting the D-reaper and had to ask Jian and Yamaki for help since it went viral (let's say that they did some things here and there that might or not be illegal).

From time to time, she takes Juri on her bike rides (when she doesn't has to do extra work for her school) and the one place she always takes Juri to, is the beach because it reminds her the ONE time she got trapped in Okinawa thanks to a certain Omegamon asking for her help to defeat Mephismon and how she was able to go back thanks to Kyuubimon that miraculously, knew how to swim. When Juri asked why she didn't asked for Jian and Takato's help (or Minami's), she said it was very embarrassing to owe money and favors; but she keeps in mind that if she ever finds this Omegamon again, she will have a few things to say.

I've already said this but, she collects the new Digica, overall Renamon evo line cards. She also collects Digimon plushies. V-mon and Tailmon being among her favs (me? pushing my biases? Noooooo of course noooooo).

Ryou will often try to get in touch and get her to compete in Digica tournaments; Ruki refuses saying she will only do it if the fate of the world and Digital World are at stake, never for fun; only in private and with friends (those friends being Hirokazu, Kenta and Ryou who are the only other nerds to get cards).

She's in good terms with Ryou to be honest; they have a good relationship and he already apologized for forgetting about her when they were kids. Ruki still doesn't knows why she can't hold that grudge anymore but she considers him a good friend so when Jian or Juri don't have time, she will chat with Ryou and share their problems. Their fav subject is sharing their adventures before meeting each other and new booster packs of the Digica or discussing the new Digis designs.

Speaking of new Digis, she likes Diarbbitmon and is gay for Cendrillmon.

Also speaking of Digica, there was one time when Shaochung was eager to learn but Jian ain't teaching her for whatever reason so she went to Ruki who, happily showed how to play. They are in very good terms, even Shaochung would often brag with her friends and classmates how she knows the Digimon Queen (and motocross pro) Makino Ruki. She keeps calling her "Ruki onee-chan" btw.

She would be on good terms with Takato if only he would have stuck around instead of disappearing xD so she holds a grudge towards him for "abandoning" Juri; this is the main reason Ruki will try to spend time with Juri the most she can. Who knows, maybe she can wooo her ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯

Speaking of Juri, I think Ruki realized she liked her when they were teens but out of respect for Takato she stayed quiet, for YEARS. Also Juri secretly collected Ruki's photos from her modeling days (⁠ ⁠ꈍ⁠ᴗ⁠ꈍ⁠)

I know that for the sake of the CD dramas, Ori-san had to do her usual "Ruki" voice, but I actually picture Ruki having a different Ori-san voice, something between Riza (FMA Brotherhood) and Manami (Digimon Ghost Game).

ASAJJ VENTRESS MY BELOVED. The forgotten daughter of the Disaster Lineage, Dooku’s last Padawan real student, the surviving heir to his Makashi and uh, generational rage. She's so damn cool; I love her so much. She’ll have a big role in future chapters of The Thunder Answered Back, but otherwise I haven’t gotten to do much with her because of my unhealthy coping mechanisms. (Fixation on the pre-prequel era.)

You know, I was gonna write you a nice little essay on the healthful properties of bottom Dooku, but I believe you and I already agree so completely on this. Namely, that the man should be broken in half, split like a piece of dry kindling, and stacked for winter. 

But oh god, tropes, I have them. Oh, this is such a cliche, but I really like the “character A (let’s call him Dooku) stomping in all upset/hot and bothered/emotionally roiled up which turns into him getting roughly but lovingly topped by Character B (let’s say…. Sifo-Dyas? I don’t know why those names just spring to mind, so weird) who just needs to get him out of his head.” I've written so many versions of that classic. And maybe this is because my own sexual education was exclusively through some very dubiously con fanfic, I notice I tend to write a lot of scenes with discussion of protection and safety language. (And also because *speaking directly into the mic* it's super fucking hot.)

…I also seem to be writing a lot of orgasm control these days. Go figure.

When you dedicate yourself to being a "depraved" perfumer, you acknowledge that the pursuit of alchemical secrets and unnatural boons will cost you dearly. Whether that price is something as heartfelt as losing all you once held close to chest in the pursuit of power or simply a weight upon your soul tallied with the bodies you're forced to pile onto the pyre one after the other, there is always something to be taken for all that can be gained. A scale rebalanced, a pushing back of the world in due reply to you throwing your weight around.

Thankfully in Soot's case, the only toll exacted upon him has been the general sanity of his clientele, and compared to the previous round of customers Corellia (Contessa, Cotellie, somethin' like that--) here seemed to have her wits about her. Barring her taste in color arrangement that is, considering the horrible menagerie of colors sprouting from her breastplate. Radagon's balls, but blinking didn't do him a damn bit of good neither. Reminds him a bit of old Jerren, honestly...

Right, priorities. Focus. Tearing his gaze away from her breastplate and the hideous gambeson beneath it, Soot blinks and glances between the offering of her (admittedly worn, godsdamn--) shin guards and the smile lightening her claw-kissed face. Mhm, damn pests had gotten a nasty swing in by the look of her. Maybe she'd be interested in a new helmet too? "Ain't an armorer by trade, but..." He takes them in soot-stained hands with a care that belies his uncharitable thoughts, a thumb smoothing over the pitted steel whilst cradled in his spindly arms. It isn't hard to tell that these are older than she's had them for how worn-in they are, nor that they've faced the worst the road has to offer long before they were even in decent shape. "Got some dents here," and a dirty nail taps at a particularly deep one with a soft ting-ting. "Cloth's threadbare, coulda been secured too loosely...?"

On the very tip of his tongue, Soot nearly offers her a pair he's had tucked away for some time now. Pair of Redmane issue steel plate, tightly forged and never worn, polished to a sheen... yet it stays locked tight behind his crooked teeth. Another glance spared Cornelia's way, another once over of her from grinning face to garish maille to well-traveled boots, and something in his gut tightens at the thought of just attempting to talk her into tossing out these things.

"Gimme a day, two at most." Setting the guards onto a table already crowded with bits and baubles of an origin unknown and unrecalled, Soot pauses and pats himself down before retrieving an aromatic bottle. He tosses it to Coryn without so much as a "look alive" and gestures towards the ramshackle shack's door, already turning over the leggings between his hands. "Try that. Bloodboil with somethin' extra. Make ya hit like a batterin' ram, it should."

What's a day in the Weeping Peninsula come out to, when the sun never shows its face for all the bloody storm clouds? If Soot keeps track of anything it's how often Cordellia comes and goes, comes and goes, maybe not unwisely checking in on his progress and seeing for herself that he isn't in the business of filching banged up armor. As such she sees the restoration more closely than many of his other clients. Cloth is unceremoniously shorn from inside each legging only to be carefully, painstakingly refitted with a squinted eye and shockingly steady threading needle. Dents left from deflected blows are knocked back into proper shape with precise strikes of the hammer. Dirt accumulated from gods knew how many years of marching across the Lands Between is washed and scraped away with only a few mumbled oaths here and there for the elbow grease and effort put towards it.

It's the tail end of that second day when Soot finally presents the guards back to... fuck, what was it again? Corvina? Close enough. Witness though she'd been to most of the refurbishment, Soot figures he's at least managed to slip a few things past her attention. Where once the steel had reflected their time on the endless journey, now they gleamed with the attention a paid man with scrounged up polish can afford. Those pitted places across their now pristine surface have been properly straightened out, seamless and proven so by the level finger that traces down the surface of both leggings. Perhaps most notably though is the fabric used to soften their interior, replaced from that tattered and ruined material of before with a deep crimson cloth and tight stitching.

"Came out all right, it did. Been a bit since m'last stitches." Soot pauses, gnawing his bottom lips, before seeming to recall something. "Mhm, by the by, added somethin'." Nonchalantly, he plucks free a short but sharp blade from a small divot within the cloth of the shin guard. It's handle is wrapped in the very green binding that had once held together her left legging, it too now clean from the dust of the road. "Gotta sheath in both guards. Can't feel'm when ya walk. Nice in a pinch." With a wheeze, Soot tucks the dirk away and smothers the rest of his coughs into a raggedy sleeve. "Remember me when they do ya a good turn."
