This being drawn for her work “Stealing Moments, Moments Away,” which is a reshirement AU in which she tackles @smolestboop 's  Bagginshieldtober prompts. It is SO heart-warming. I cannot recommend it, or any of the rest of her stories, enough. She writes them in a way that honors what complete idiots they are about each other (and I mean that in every sense of the word and on every moment in the timeline) and tackles interesting questions about their circumstances, both in canon – if we had gotten the overt representation they and we deserved – and in AU, in several ways (including a take on what would happen if the Company missed Durin’s Day and had to stay in Lake-town for a year), handling all aspects of their damage and their personalities with respect and love, and a sense of truly seeing them, imho.

he's gotten referred as cute far too many times than he'd like to recall, & the ' compliment ' ( to some, but not to mr napoleon complex over here, apparently ) was always cooed as if he was nothing more than a helpless baby bird stuck to the exhaustive confines of their nest. like a puppy who would never achieve the title of ' handsome boy ' because he was doomed to his present sweetness of the soft little face & the fact that he was a hairy chihuahua who would never grow to achieve his dreams of being a giant, imposing Great Dane .

well he WASN'T !! . . EiTHER OF THOSE COMPARISONS, DAMMIT !! he's a grown mech, for frag's sake !! & even grown mech can be swayed by such . . intelligent an opinion uttered .

thick armor - plated arms carry out all his nervous fidgeting, digits digging into the fragile creases of the posterior of a thick metal intake ( back of the neck ), then fumbling with the backwards R of his gold chain , resisting the urge to gnaw all his anxieties out onto the rather enticing piece of AU since that would absolutely shatter his maturity here, before finally settling into a self - soothing servo rub with the other servo .

holding back the heavily new york accented ' Danks ' of polite acknowledgement, only reserving that word for sarcastic situations . the mini-con flexed with his bent arms, tightening his arm plating & even letting them shake a little for added flirty flare.

i really can't believe that the thing that brought us all together is ending! watching grainy live streams together, speculating what blondie will do next, sharing memes and beautiful photos... the only things left are the memories and friends we made along the way which is making me tear up! i really hope our friendship and the prison gang will be timeless 🫶

He's a sensible boy, often dealing with mood swings; you could talk with the usual bubbly, sunny Val' in the morning and get hit with a brooding, cold gaze in the after-noon, all because he overheard some gonks talking about his past as a wraith, or because he couldn't figure out what wasn't working earlier during his shift.

Everyone knows that Valentin's filters totally vanish when drunk, but his lack of tact can be noticeable during certain sobber conversations- he can be clumsy with his words, and hurt people unintentionally.

He does not forget, nor forgive; he holds grudges passively, not letting it ruin his life more than it already did in the past, but bringing up those subjects can make Valentin spiral down in his own memories for some time until he brooms them back where they came from.

Saturday Six (Stuff)

But on Sunday

The Farmer's Market was slow AF again yesterday. But it was also hot as hell too. Though I did get quite a few people talking to me, which was great. Idk, this year has been very strange. (゜-゜)

Speaking of work being strange, idk what to do about my accountant. She still hasn't got my sales tax put in to the state dept of revenue, nor are my federal taxes done. I'd fire her but she's a family friend. Ugh. (；¬д¬)

I do not like this record breaking heat were having. Neither does my air conditioner.(･｀ｪ´･)つ

My annoying neighbor who has, for the 7 years that I've lived here, put out his leftover food "for the birds", has now recently put out an aluminum pan for food. Welp, naturally this attracts rodents. And other stray animals. My cat Reggie does not mind the occasional rodent, and has recently caught a few rats and left them for us. Ugh. On Thursday there was a bit of commotion (people grabbing loudly) outside, and I was looking for Reggie anyway due to it being firework day, so I looked to see what was up. It was a mother effing snek!!!! Ugh. So yeah, he's got sneks coming around, because of all the rodents. In all the years, we've never seen one here until now. I'm very upset to say the least. And I'll be talking to my landlord tomorrow. ヽ(●-`Д´-)ノ

My parents had a birthday/anniversary party yesterday and I had probably THE WORST deviled egg of my life. ヽ(ﾟДﾟ)ﾉ

would you ever write a fic where a character comes back to life, but instead of the usual "they came back wrong" it's "everything they came back to is wrong"?

I LOVE THIS QUESTION!! i can absolutely see myself writing such a fic, esp bc the dynamic im really into rn (frostkettle from fantasy high: junior year) very much centers around the idea that kipperlilly killed lucy for the sake of a then-unnamed rage god, and later lucy ends up getting revived by the former rage goddess while kipperlilly stays dead after dying in the final battle.

in other words, there are so many ways this type of fic could go for me:

1) after lucy gets revived, she has to deal with how different the world is without kipperlilly and with what it means for the specter of rage to be perpetually haunting all of her former friends

2) if kipperlilly gets revived at a later point (esp if lucy is the one to revive her), she has to deal with how much lucy has changed and with newfound isolation pressing at her from all sides (rejection from her ex-friends, fragile treatment from her parents, her lack of rage, etc.)

3) in a more corporeal sense, after lucy gets revived, she has to deal with the physical consequences of having been dead for a year, when her body no longer moves the way it used to and how the pressure of kipperlilly's dagger against her neck never seems to leave
