One Year Later.

One year ago while watching the Ignition Fire show at Midsummer Renaissance Faire, I exclaimed to my friends and family "I want to do that...I'm going to do that!"

As a longtime member of the faire I'd been watching the troupe perform for a few years, but due to life events hadn't had the bandwidth to join, but in that moment something felt different.

Jump forward a year, and I did it!! I got to fulfill my dream of performing with Ignition on the Midsummer arena, and words can not express how amazing that felt.

While I, and many others were sad to hear the news that we would not be performing at Midsummer for weekend 2 & 3 I still feel so fortunate to have had the chance to live out my dreams of performing with Ignition on that stage.

A huge thank you to all the fans who came out to support us, to Ignition for giving me the skills to live out my dreams as a fire breathing dragon, and to Midsummer for supplying such a great venue for folks to gather.

While I do not know what the future has to hold, I'll always be grateful to have had the chance to fulfil a dream of mine, and for all the new friends I've made along the way.

welsknight fanon v canon : aka the funniest contrast ive ever seen from fanon v canon.

heres the textless version and some thoughts

the contrast between canon and fanon with welsknight is so funny to me. every single fanon piece (usually writing but sometimes art) i see of him hes so knightly and goody two shoes and like. posh?? and then i watch his videos and he puts a bridge on hypnos front lawn without asking for permission. he made a secret tunnel between him and hypnos storage rooms for shits and giggles. hes doing an old man impression of kids these days with their gadgets and he brings up papyrus paper of all things. he gives off such mischevious little man vibes and he is at best a knight wannabe but realistically seems to be just be in it for the aesthetics and fandom takes it all way too seriously. its hilarious and i genuinely cant take any fanon depiction of him being all knightly and pretentious without thinking of the fact that he spent so much on mangrove to line the secret tunnel between him and hypnos storage rooms which he built without telling hypno. peak smug cat meme vibes

anyway uhhh tldr welsknight is not a knight that armour is made of foam and its hilarious how seriously the fandom takes him. send post

Happy 25th birthday, Dipper and Mabel 🥳

It's crazy to think Gravity Falls itself is now as old as the twins were that summer and in turn, that same amount of time has now past since. Though we may all grow old as time goes on, our love for them and Gravity Falls will never end!

It's been quite a summer. From the Book of Bill, the website, Gravity Falls having a resurgence in popularity not seen since it ended and so much more. It's been an incredible adventure to see and like every summer, we end it celebrating the birthday of, to quote Alex Hirsch, "the cartoon babies that live in my brain."

I say it every year, but who knows what is to come till the next summer (ours...not GF's as that's not happening, lol). Will we get a new Gravity Falls book announced with BoB's success showing Disney it's worth it? Will Alex Hirsch's Netflix projects finally get out of development hell and happen? Will I still be here? Will Gravity Falls' fandom still be as thriving or will it decline back to the semi popular state it was before? Who knows. But whatever happens next, I am grateful to have experienced yet again a chance to see the GF fandom feel like it was alive again to the same extent as if a new episode was airing.

I was not here for those days. I barely got to experience that in 2018 with Lost Legends. So, in a large sense, this whole experience was as new for me, a now 7 year long member of the fandom, as it was for a fan who just joined this summer. Despite the ups and downs, I'll take these memories with me and cherish them for many years to come and till the end. From the book of Bill PR, the codes and deciphering them, helping Alex Hirsch curb leaks (I'll discuss that in a future video, lol), waiting for the website to reveal its secrets and more. It's been amazing.

Happy birthday, Dipper and Mabel. Here's to another great summer and for another amazing season of memories made.
