💜 surprise kiss / impulsive kiss

The bar was so crowded the only place they could sit was on the little rug-draped patch of floor near the fireplace. He'd ordered some kind of peach tea. This was one of the few placed they'd found with a good non-alcoholic drink selection so they kept coming back on their little weekly 'dates' (they weren't dates because they weren't dating, no matter what she wanted. She was happy - so happy - to be here as his friend. Her wanting didn't take away from that). Whatever drink she'd been sipping on had a stick of cinnamon poking out of it and it smoldered from having been lit on fire at some point. Gimmicky, but she had to admit it was good. It warmed her through to her core as much as the nearby fire warmed her chilly fingers. She forgot the fire when he picked up her hand, fingers completely engulfing hers. A grasp so familiar and easy that she had to smile at him, so miserably fond that she expected the Brass Blades to kick the door down and arrest her for weaponized affection. He leans over at some point and kisses her cheek. A fleeting peck that deepens her smile and makes her flush. She drinks more. Knows it means nothing beyond their friendship (which is enough - which is so much that she's so glad for). She can tell the evening is winding down. He'll walk her back to her apartment and bid her goodnight and tomorrow she'll see him at work and nothing will have changed except the depth of the yawning, yearning chasm in her chest will have increased. Still smiling she angles over to tuck a reciprocating kiss at the corner of his mouth. The tickle of his beard under her lips something she wants to burrow into but she keeps it light and brief before angling back. "Do you want to stay a little longer?" Her eyes meet his and she feels all other words lodge in her throat. His eyes are dark. The shallowness of his breaths splashing across her skin. She goes through so many emotions in such a brief span of time that none of them fully land. Again he closes that tiny distance between them. His lips touch familiar territory in her cheek and then ghost through new lands to alight against hers. And he kisses her. Properly. Soft and all to brief but intentional and purposeful. "Do -you- want to stay a little longer?" He murmurs in return, eyes on her lips and then on hers. The building whine of excitement in her mind goes blissfully, joyfully silent. She blinks at him. And she smiles. His fingers are still in hers and she squeezes them in lieu of rational thought. She thinks about the flavor of cinnamon and peaches. She'll be thinking about it for a long time.

i lost my original account in 2020 which i had for 3 years at that point and had spent dozens of dollars on. i made a new account but never grew as invested in it and eventually stopped playing. i redownloaded sif last week to play one last time and almost cried. i took this screenshot this morning. god it sounds like im talking about a real person dying. thank you SIF. without you i wouldn't have discovered the rest of love live, and without that i probably wouldn't be alive right now to write this. thank you SIF. for everything.

ik it's silly but i did shed some tears. sif helped me through a lot of hard times. i was 15 when i started playing and im 19 now. it's bonkers. ik sif has been around way long than that but man. ik i should be a high rank but i took a few breaks in between.

i couldn't really decide who i wanted to set my partner to today. i decided on sky!nozomi. when i got back into sif she was one of the first muse URs that i pulled. idk something about her just stuck with me. i didn't really use her on any of times at the end cuz i had better cards but she still meant a lot to me.

and for my badge for today i went with nico of course. she's my best girl in all of LL. even between Aqours, Niji, Leilla, etc. nico means a lot to me so i had to set her as my badge.

so, thank you sif. for giving me a reason to wake up n check my phone and helping me control my impulsive nature lol

it has been a great 4 years. even longer for a lot of other people. im looking forward to sif 2 but, i know it won't be the same. sif made me happy because despite all the new groups and new girls it still remained muse/aqours at heart. it's the end of an era. despite that, muse and aqours will always be LL to me.

I was wondering! Bout the AU! [I really like the concept by the way and I am VERY interestedddd] Does someone else take the lead instead of Siffrin to avoid possibly looping again? Or do they allow him to still take the lead and only intervene when a possible loop approaches?

Siffrin is no longer allowed to take the lead.

They used to have the babysitter approach and let him lead but siffrin is... a handful, he shouldn't be let loose, after a few loops everyone decides "we are not letting our VERY CURIOUS and VERY FAST low-level rogue poke around and keep dying" and so they don't.

As for Siffrin's self-steem being affected by being out of the loop! you hit the nail on the head, they are having a terrible time. I am doing a comic about it right now (it will probably be the very next comic I finish since i didn't like how my wip for the pineapple comic turned out) so if you want to wait for it, i'll leave the more in dept reply/ wip of a part of the comic, below.

Siffrin self-esteem is brutally beaten in this au.

if the party dismisses Siffrin for the sake of efficiency too much, Siffrin will gain a new memory.

The party gains a lot of insight into his issues from this memory. They confront Siffrin and get a pretty sweet bonding moment with him!

If this dismissive approach happens in later loops and they ignore him cause they 'don't have time to babysit sif' the traveler will slowly become desperate to be helpful, going as far as to lose HP trying to read the forgotten language, since it is the one thing no one can do in the party.

In the last stage of the "dismiss siffrin, he won't remember this loop anyways" route, if NOTHING is done to make him feel loved or needed or at least comforted, he'll learn the skill [I can help!] which makes him steal someone's damage in battle. It's... not a very useful skill since he is the character with the lowest HP in the party and things that will seriously damage any party member would instantaneously knock Sif down.

EDIT: Siffrin abandon his weapon and uses rock craft when using [I can help!], the idea was taken from @/dailysiffrin art. This one!.

So does anybody else ever think about how Loop felt the need to demonstrate that the party's deaths wouldn't have any effect on the loops. I know I do but that's besides the point. Anyway I don't think Loop actually needs to bathe, they just like to feel included.

I have to be honest; I did not expect how much people would love the fic and comic I made. I am still flabbergasted at how many people commented on the fic and left me such lovely tags and remarks here on tumblr. Thank you so much for all of that. They really made my week last week. I was walking on sunshine throughout it all.

I was going to leave the comic as is, but all the support and adoration fired me up, so I decided to continue the comic ^_^.

I based the table spread on what is typical around my area and then added grapes and an apple because Siffrin was not getting any good nutrients from what was on his plate.

It is unsurprising who my favourite character is, seeing how much I drew Odile in these two pages. Also, I did not mean for Odile to look like the Grinch at the bottom of page 1, but it just kind of sort of happened, and then it was too funny to erase it. Happy accidents and all.

this is an ijiraq reskin!!!! or well. they were supposed to be one. their out-of-battle behaviors are pretty different but they work mostly the same in battles

the repulsive sigil is there because the ijiraq has it! but it also counts towards loop’s. general attitude towards themself i think. at least they can’t get attacked (if they don’t attack something with sharp quills that is). in kaycee’s mod, this sigil only appears on the ijiraq and starvation (which can only be played by leshy). probably for the best!

i added bifurcated strike both to set them apart from the ijiraq and because scissors craft! stats and sigils wise, they’re a sidegrade to the ijiraq. the fun stuff comes with their hidden trait!

so! shapeshifter!! originally just called. ijiraq. but it works a little different so it gets a different name shshhh. but i’ll just explain how the regular ijiraq works since it’s a kaycee’s mod card and kinda obscure. basically, it diguises itself as other cards in your deck! while on the map, it’ll show the card’s alt version with a red glow, but in battle, it’ll look and behave exactly like the card it’s mimicking. it only reveals itself once placed on the field! so it’s always a surprise! loop works similarly, but they only mimic sif’s card. because twohats :3

like the ijiraq, loop will swap themself with sif for most card events! though there’s a good few that they’ll just refuse to do. too much to talk about there, maybe i’ll post the talking card dialogue for them at some point? idk

oh, speaking of which!! like sif, loop is a talking card! they’ll still talk, even while disguised, but they’d have slightly different lines and portraits methinks. which does make it a little easier to figure out who’s who but that’s a sacrifice (heh) i’m willing to make. plus it’s just fun.

vulpecula is the name of a fox constellation! for fun parallels with siffrin! the constellation itself doesn’t have any mythology behind it though. just a fox. the reason loop’s holding a goose in their mouth(…?) is because the constellation is sometimes depicted with one! please look at the goose i’m really proud of that goose.

this was. probably the hardest card to draw Period. my usual way of drawing loops spiky face would’ve felt out of place with the inscryption style so i had to improvise! and BOY it was a struggle!! especially since i didn’t have a sketch prepared like i did with the others. i think this turned out pretty nice though!

NO PATCH!!!! REJOICE!!! loop can’t be selected for sigil transfers (because ijiraq) so they don’t have any!!!! i mean, i could’ve hypothetically given a patch to the sif disguise but no. i don’t want to even try to recolor the patch. that would be a nightmare. maybe if i ever find a blank png version of the patch.

if i were to give them a patch sigil tho, i think i’d give them hoarder? which lets you draw any card from your deck after placing loop on the field. as like, a nod to how much QoL they add in isat.

also as a little aside, you can attempt to fuse them and the wanderer at the mycologists. they won’t let you but you can try. similarly, they’ll be counted as kin in the trial of kin! because again. twohats

Question; does Looping effect Bonnie's Snack Leader duties? Like. Idk if they're making the snacks then and there in canon but like. If they are I imagine Bonnie's worsening mental state (due to looping Trauma ✨) would affect how the food comes out?

It does!

Bonnie takes their duties extremely seriously during the loops. They become even better at cooking since it's both a distraction they have full control over, deciding by themselves what to cook (they just improve and slightly tweak the recipes they always do at the start, to the point their onigiri becomes top-notch instead of an experimental recipe, but they change up over time) and because food is how they cheer people up so if everyone is starting to get tired enough for snack time not to be enough to cheer them up, Bonnie needs to make sure to up their game and make sure everyone has THE BEST snacks ever. Ones that will cheer everyone up!!

After a lot of loops, if Bonnie has the Memory of Pineapple equipped, and everyone is particularly in a rush, the kid will suggest that they skip snack time to save time. If you agree to skip it you are reprimanded by the family, who will hype up snack time to cheer them up, but eventually, you are allowed to pick the [skip snack time] option.
