alright what the hell. ive just been playing sonic 2 on ps3 for trophies (i like cheevos) and have noticed something horrifying: there are two trophies related to using super sonic. here are their icons

neither of these are the original sprites. the left is sonic 3's transformation sprite with with the top quill pointing down as in adventure-era depictions of super sonic and the right is a redraw of sonic 2's good ending sprite with a new head

i have no idea if these were fan sprites accidentally stolen or something new created by either backbone entertainment (developers of the release) or sega but either way WHAT THE HELL
