THANK YOU FOR SHARING. Wow. This is so them?? And beautiful? You know I love this idea of perceived flaws actually being what they love about the other. Something you love them for, not in spite of. And knowing someone like the back of your hand, knowing them better than they even know themselves in the sense that they see the best in each other when they can't see it in themselves. Because you were talking about names, one thing I noticed about Neil’s (even though, as you said, it’s taken straight from his real-life counterpart and thus not actually thought out this way): typographically speaking, Neil, as opposed to Neal, takes a lot less space on the page. Same sound, but more condensed, concise, to the point: befitting for a man who doesn’t waste his breath and says only what he has to say. On the other hand, Neal with an -a is a fraudulent waste of space and a vain show off of a name, and if Neil had had that version it would have been a TOTAL aberration. Also it looks like seal and we do NOT need another reminder of how Neil is sleeping with the fishes!!
