She hadn’t been here in some time and she had hoped to change that. She had everything hanging in the two shopping bags on her arms to make a hearty casserole. One she had made more than once so Wong had something in the pantry and stopped needing to run to every other corner bodega.

She felt she had walked straight into a stranger’s house without knocking. There was an embarrassment and shame that percolated in scarlet waved up her throat and into her cheeks as she took in the other woman’s very casual attire.

“I…no,” Cherry said, finally finding her tongue. “I’m a friend of Wong’s…” She took in the other woman’s attire again and shook her head. “I’m sorry..I’m interrupting…I should go..I’m sorry,” her words rushed together as she attempted to back out of the doorway, but her bag hooked onto a drawer handle. The flimsy plastic ripped and sent a myriad of canned and jarred goods onto the floor.

“what’s all the fuss about this new girl on the island?” rafe took a swig from his beer, drawing both topper and kelce’s attention almost immediately. “for starters, she’s like insanely pretty,” kelce started, “i don’t know her name, but she’s already running around figure eight with the socialites.” he raised his eyebrows as topper butted in. “i heard she speaks spanish,” he added, “where do you think she’s from?” topper and kelce started throwing out names of different countries while rafe started forming his own thoughts.

people moved to and from the island all the time, so while rafe didn’t think much of the whole ‘new girl’ thing, he couldn’t help but wonder what it was about you that had literally everyone talking. all he knew was that you were attractive and could speak another language. he heard some guys at the country club raving about you the day before, and now his friends. was it the way you dressed? your hair? the way you walked? he needed to find out now.

“do you know where i could find her?” rafe interrupted kelce and topper mid argument. “uhm.. i don’t know? remember that house for sale right there by the shore? i think that’s the one she moved into.” topper looked confused as rafe stood up. “where are you going?” he followed him outside. “i have to see what the hype is about, man.” rafe was already in his truck before topper yelled out a ‘can i go too?!’

rafe felt like a stalker going over to your house. he wasn’t going to get off or anything.. he just parked across the street and staked the place out as if he was playing detective. apart of him felt ridiculous for doing this in the first place. here he was, waiting to just catch a glimpse of you. “what the fuck am i doing?” he cursed to himself. just as he was about to turn the engine back on, you emerged from the front door.

rafe was always the one to denounce something as ‘overhyped’ but he felt like the entire island talking about and praising you just wasn’t enough. you needed your own billboard. oblivious to the fact that you had looked up at him from your spot in the driveway, he closed his mouth as you smiled at him, your perfectly manicured fingers sending him a flirty wave. that was the cherry on top. rafe had gotten down and was about to approach you before a car full of girls drove up.

he really didn't want to meet them, he just wanted to be in his own room doing who knows what. but after enough convincing and scolding from his parents, he gives in. the second he saw you, he was almost immediately captivated. everything about you seemed flawless, from your hair to your eyes to the way you smile. he knows he doesn't believe in love at first sight, it was just infatuation.. right? your parents introduced one-another and you soon did the same, you were lying when you said the black-haired boy with the gorgeous lashes didn't captivate you as well. you took short glances at him and when the two of you locked eyes for a quick moment, you immediately looked at the ground, embarrassed. rin thought it was cute, no, rin thought you were cute so when his parents asked the two of you to go outside and walk for a bit, he was a bit hesitant. not because he didn't want to interact with you, he was just shy. he doesn't know what to say so he started digging through his mind for conversation starters. the first few minutes of walking with him was a peaceful quiet. you notice how he was deep in his thoughts, you didn't know why but it was cute. you start the conversation by complimenting his eyes and how beautiful it looked, especially when the sun is hitting it gracefully. rin became flushed by the sudden compliment and thanks you. rin finds out that the two of you have a lot of things in common! the same love for mangas, ochazuke, and coffee, he begins to enjoy your presence by his side since then. you and rin had started hanging out more, asking him to hang out by the cherry blossom tree beside the neighborhood park. his parents thank you for adding color to his once monochromatic life. he's changed ever since, he's become much more happy yet still has that same cold and stoic personality that you can't help but laugh at.

now 7 months later, he's waiting for you by that same cherry blossom tree, hands fidgeting with one-another. he sees you walking towards him and you notice his nervous expression. something was on his mind and you knew it, you just didn't know what that was. you see how his face became pink, like really pink the second he spots you, it's only when you tuck a loose strand of his hair behind his ear and asked him why he wanted to meet up that he blurts out something that makes you smile.

"h-huh..? oh! y/n, I uh, asked you to meet me here because I.. I really really like you! so if you'd like, please be my girlfriend/boyfriend !!"

for some reason, he had accidentally forgot to bring back a soccer book that he borrowed that was supposed to be due yesterday. he quickly gets up and gets ready, putting on extra comfortable and warm clothes as there was a lot more snow falling down this day. the second he goes inside, he apologizes profusely to the librarian for forgetting to bring the back the book to which the librarian just lets him go with a warning due to his sincerity and kindness. for a quick second, he sees you in the corner of his eyes wearing headphones and walking leisurely. kenyu is very observant for a person with vision problems. he doesn't hesitate following you due to his confidence and straightforwardness. he sees you carefully looking for a book, muttering things under your breath with a confused look. kenyu, as the gentleman he is, asks if you need any help. you were grateful for this small action because the book you were looking for was actually way higher than you could reach. you thanked him for the assistance before leaving to look for other books that peeked your interest. he seemed like a really nice person, he didn't seem like the type to help you just because he thought you were cute and gullible. he seemed genuine with his actions and words

kenyu was bewitched by you, he accepted it. no one has ever made him feel that way before. the way you talked when you thanked him, the way your eyes glistened when you looked at him, god was he charmed. it doesn't take long before he bumps into you again in the sports section, he greets you with and smile and you do the same. you see him looking for soccer books and you look for (f/s) books, you once again notice that the book you were looking for was on the top shelf. you were to shy to ask kenyu for help so you tried reaching for it by yourself, tiptoeing in the process. kenyu sees this and thinks that it's another way for him to interact with you. just as you were about to fall, he grabs you just in time and reaches the book you tried grabbing. he think it's cute how you looked so shy with that light pink tint on your cheeks when you thank him. so you know what, fuck it, he introduces himself and you do the same. the two of you chat for a bit. in that time you talk to kenyu, you find him very gentle and alluring. you talk about your passions of (f/s) and his own passion for soccer. you could see his eyes light up whenever he talked about soccer, and you were mesmerized by his tender tone. just as you were going to leave, he says something that leaves you speechless and blushing . . .

"you know, y/n.. you're a really interesting person. i'd love to be your friend so is it okay if i ask for your number? i'd love to know more about you, you could even be a model like me with looks like that.."

it was just another night of reo's family eating out with their friends, he was already getting bored of their chit-chat. his father was talking about him becoming his successor but he really could care less. he just continued sipping his drink and nodding to whatever his parents were talking about. he heard them talk about.. business investments? something about how businesses and entrepreneurs do shit so he excused himself from the table to go to the washroom because of how bored he was. he could've been hanging out with nagi, talking about soccer, and playing games with him during this time but no, his parents had to drag him to this restaurant with shitty food. he asked the servers where the comfort room was and thanked them, promising to give them a hefty tip. on his way to the men's washroom, he saw the embodiment of elegancy and grace. he saw you. for once, reo was glad his parents had forced him to go here because he saw you.

there you were, retouching your makeup. putting some more foundation and highlighter, then applying lip gloss on your plump lips. reo just stood there, amazed by the sight of you. you seemed so confident and neat, he loved every single part of you. when you notice him staring via the mirror, you turn around and ask him if he needed anything. he was taken aback to be honest, he really didn't expect you to stop whatever you were doing just to talk to him. reo replied saying that he was fascinated by your figure. you surprised by his answer, it wasn't every day that you get complimented for your looks. as the kind person you are, you thank him for the sudden comment by giving him a small but soft smile before grabbing your little makeup kit and leaving. only then did reo go to the washroom to do his business but oh how he wished he had stopped you and asked for your number, fuck, just asking for your name would've done the job for him as well! but no, he was a coward, he only really expected the people who thought he was cute to make the first move. when he was going back to his parents' table, he saw them talking to you! he was shocked. how did you know them? what were you guys laughing about? his parents call out to him to introduce you, y/n l/n, the child of an old friend of his dad, the child of a famous businessman. his parents recognized your distinct facial features and knew that you were (f/n)'s child. reo finally took the chance and asked for your number, that's the most he's ever done! usually, girls and guys that liked reo were the ones flocking to him and he was used to do that so he thought, lose the chance or take the risk?

meguru really didn't want to go with his mom to the mall, not because he didn't want to but because the thought of seeing someone from his class made him sick to the stomach just by thinking about it. but he eventually surrendered to his mother's wishes and went along with her. he decided to wear a simple outfit, just some brown pants, a plain white shirt with a vest layered on it. everything was going really well for the first time in his life! he didn't see any people he was familiar with, he bought a new soccer book, and then he saw you. immediately captivated by your gentleness and purity as you were looking through the endless shelves of art supplies. he instantly wanted to talk to you but he was scared, scared of what you'd think of him. it isn't every day that someone would walk up to you as if you guys knew each other well. so, he asked his mother for advice! Yu said that if he wanted to talk with someone who he thought piqued his interest, he should just be himself! telling him to not be scared and just go with the flow. she then asked who he was so fascinated with and he pointed to you. his mom complimented your style, saying that you looked like a sincere person, so she motivated his son to go ask for your name.

for the first time in meguru's life, he wasn't scared of what others would think of him. all he cared about right now was talking to you. you flinched a bit when he tapped your shoulder. he apologized for scaring you and introduced himself. he was happy, really happy. he finally had enough courage and confidence to talk to someone, more so when you genuinely seemed like you were interested in him. you were smiling, smiling at him! he was chatting with you as if you were his best friend. you obviously introduced yourself to him after, complimenting his smile and his hairstyle. he blushed a bit when you said that, it was the first time someone, besides his mother, complimented him. he really enjoyed hearing you talk about your passion for arts and crafts, it reminded him of how Yu would tell him some tips and tricks for painting when he was painting besides her. it was like destiny that he saw you today, he thanked whatever god was out there for giving him the strength and energy to go out with his mother. so meguru finally got enough courage to build up and asked you something that squealed and hugged him in response!

"hey, y/n.. i really really think yer' a fun and interesting person like me so do ya think I could get yer' number? i would very much love to be your friend..!:

YOU GAZED AT THE pink cherry blossom petals floating through the air and falling delicately to the ground. It was late March , just around the time that cherry blossom trees were blooming. You were reading the novel you’d just picked up at the bookstore. Seoul was chilly at this time of year , and you had wrapped yourself in a windbreaker before stepping out. With the zipper straight up to your chin , you sat there , content with the hum of the city as your company. Page after page , you let the city calm you after a long day. 

Until you felt someone sit down next to you. You didn ‘t mind it at first , as long as they didn ‘t disturb you. This person was pretty quiet , aside from the soft shifts of their feet on the cement walkway. You took a little peak at them out of the corner of your eyes at them. Blonde hair , strong jawline , and their phone held up to take a photo of the scenery. You directed your attention back to your book , and heard the camera snap of a phone. You crossed one leg over the other and made yourself more comfortable. 

“Pride and Prejudice?” asked the stranger after a few minutes of silence. You looked at him , and finally got a proper view of his face. His bangs stuck up a little , as if he ‘d just climbed out of bed. And that bright blonde hair.

“Oh- yeah.” You respond , taken a bit off guard by the question. 

“You like classics ?” He raised an eyebrow , pocketing his phone. 

“Not particularly.” You slide your bookmark into the page you were on and shut the book. “Just decided to try it. It was on a whim.” 

He nodded. A beat passed , and you were debating on whether to reopen the book or not. Your gaze tore away from him and onto the cherry blossom trees. Then he spoke again. “I’m Mark.” 

You nod. “Y/n.” 

“Pretty name.” He looked at you. He had nice eyes. 

You couldn ‘t help but smile in return. “Thank you.” 

A moment passed again as you both sat in a semi-comfortable silence. You had reopened the book. You winded a small strand of your hair around your index finger. He just stared back out the trees. They were beautiful. They don ‘t bloom at random times of the year , and with them blooming now , Seoul felt fresh to him. Anew. Like what spring should feel like. 

“Do you have any specific genre you like to read, Y/n?” Mark piped up, gazing at you again. 

Once more, you closed your book. “Dystopian and fantasy. You know books with war politics. Trilogies and sagas with a lot of plot armour. You know books with dreamy writing and-” Suddenly, you cut yourself off. “Sorry for rambling. What about you?” 

Mark grinned as a small laugh escaped his chapped lips. He looked down at his shoes in thought and raised his eyes back to yours. “Mystery. Definitely mystery.” 

“You read the Hardy Boys as a kid?” You cocked an eyebrow. It was a simple question. 

“How did you guess?” He kept the grin plastered on his face. 

“I think it’s every kid ‘s starter series.” You smile back. “It was my first.” 

“Well.” He leaned back on the bench. “My people don ‘t read that much. Even as we grew up , they ‘d ditch the book for HotWheels.” 

“My people only read the filthy stuff.” You mirrored his action , so you could get a better look at him. “That ‘s all they read.” 

He ran his fingers through his hair. “I never understood why people did that. Dark romance can be so nasty.” 

Your ears perked at the statement. Yes! Someone with sense who didn ‘t let the internet distort them. “Thank you! I ‘ve been saying that since the whole trend started.” 

“I mean , being in love with someone who literally abuses you. That ‘s so strange. And they romanticize and swoon over it too.” 

“Oh my god, Mark.” You were somehow so comfortable around him already. You just met and you already thought you made a friend. “Finally someone with a brain.” 

Mark just smiled back , leaving both of you staring at each other for a moment. Something passed , and you could literally feel it. 

“Do you…want to exchange numbers?” Normally , you ‘d never prompt that question. But today you found yourself doing something different. 

“Yeah, i mean, that ‘d be cool.” He agreed , pulling out his phone and opening the phone app. He set to creating a contact and passed the phone to you. “Put in your number. I ‘ll text you.” 

So you did. “Wanna give me yours?” You asked , handing him the phone. 

“Nah. you ‘ll get it when I text you.” 

You both smiled again. Like you'd both hung the stars in the sky.

Literally no one asked me for this but I need to distract myself so here’s my Gum Rankings cuz I’m a connoisseur

Trident- 7.5/10 for me I have to eat 2 at a time cuz I need more resistance than just the one gives me, the flavor doesn’t last long enough for u to even get the gum soft enough to blow bubbles too cuz it’s like a brick. BUT I like the packets a LOT (they’re like little foldy wallets hehe :D) and the flavors are very good in the beginning plus it’s very thick and puts a lot of pressure on my jaw(good autism👍)

Trident flavors - the Island Berry Lime and Dragon Fruit Lychee ones are the best ones I’ve tried so far, I really like pairing one Tropical Twist with one Watermelon Twist it is an Experience for sure. Worst flavor is Wintergreen. It just burns

Extra- 8/10 very good texture and it’s almost immediately poppable plus it lasts for like 2 hours. I really like the big packs they come in cuz I save them and reuse them to hold my button collection :> only grievance is that they’re very soft and don’t put any pressure on my jaw unless I eat two of them but then it’s TOO much so I have to eat 1.5 and that’s rlly awkward and just generally annoying

Extra flavors- Pink lemonade will always be on top‼️ watermelon is the worst one it’s like eating an eraser NO CINNAMON cinnamon is the worst idk WHO thought that’d be a good idea but it’s like hot tamales but worse

Hubba Bubba - 10/10 I love it so much omg perfect texture and it’s IN A TAPE DISPENSER that’s so cool I always thought that was so cool and it also means I can get however much I want

Hubba Bubba flavors - ive only had the og and the sour blue raspberry which both went hard asf

5- 7/10 flavor is strong and long lasting but I have to eat 2 which sucks cuz they’re the big ones so it’s actually the whole 1.5 situation all over again and they don’t have a ton of flavors it’s just mint mint strawberry and whatever the hell “elixir” is (I’m aware there’s other ones they’re hard to come across)

5 flavors- strawberry is the best and spearmint is the worst not that it had much competition but still

Orbit- 3/10 not nearly enough gum per pack with how much I need and I don’t like the design of it tbh. Plus it’s got that brick texture and the flavor lasts for like 15 minutes.

Orbit flavors- it’s all mint. Why is everything mixed with mint. Strawberry is the best wintermint is the worst

Ice Breakers Ice Cubes- 6/10 have to eat like 3 but also I get to eat a cube and it’s just so silly and fun to me idk. And I can reuse the containers for my little seed starters I make. Flavor doesn’t last very long tho :(

Ice Breakers flavors- cherry limeade is the best cinnamon is the worst. Pls stop with the cinnamon

Juicy Fruit- 6/10 it’s a very good texture and the flavor and packaging is very nostalgic to me but it’s almost sickly sweet and I can only stand it every once in a while.

Juicy Fruit flavors- I have literally never found a flavor other than the original

Eclipse- 4/10 I like the texture, I have to eat two as usual but still. Hate the unnecessary packaging like you could’ve just put MORE gum in there but instead you’re wasting my time with this clunky package I can never seem to open. No fun flavors :(

Eclipse flavors- they’re all mint again polar ice is my favorite and I’m a lifelong spearmint hater

Ok i will challenge you takes I think they lack an important need to level with the media at hand and realize that, while these shows of course are not flawless and not above critique, they are in fact still innocent youtube children's animated cartoons. It's a kind of paranoid reading that's cherry picking evidence to say that the show is queer baiting while not acknowledging things like how it's pretty clear that Bot's still going through an arc of self discovery and finding themself and they probably picked traits up from Paintbrush supported them through said journey to a point where they even refused to vote with their alliance to get PB eliminated, or the fact that both PB and Bot have Nonbinary voice actors. Taking in the full picture is incredibly important before accusing writing to be done in bad faith and something i wish far more people took into consideration, or the very least admitted to before talking so brazenly. Jake Jensen Takes Care of You When You're Having You're Period

Trigger warning: period stuff, Jake Jensen getting all flustered, Jake Jensen being a sweet, adorable goofball, fluff.

Summary: Jake takes care of you when you're having your period.

"JAKE!" I scream.

"Shh, what is it honey bun?" says Jake, who's holding me close to him.

"Was it a bad dream?" asks Jake.

"No, it's just..." I say.

"OW!" I scream.

"It hurts. It hurts really bad," I say.

"Shhh, shhh," says Jake, who's now rubbing soothing circles on my back.

Jake and I just stay like this for a while. I yawn again, and Jake picks me up and carries me bridal style back to the bedroom.

Jake puts me under the covers, and pulls out the heating pad. He turns it on, and gives me the book that I'm reading. I read while the heating pad does it's thing. To say that my cramps are excruciating is an understatement.

He carried me to the bathroom, and even pulled my pants down and sat me on the toilet. That's when I saw it. That's when I saw the blood in my panties.

"Jake, my sweet goofball, can you run out and get me some pads?" I say, when I realized that I put my last one in.

Jake, meanwhile, is busy playing Animal Crossing. It's Saint Patrick's day, and Jake is missing out on the festivities. But, he'd much rather be home taking care of me right now. In fact, he ventured out earlier to get me the super absorbent pads and super absorbent overnight pads. It took him a while to get the pads and come back. Jake got all flustered with the store clerk.

"Does she like the Kotex, Always, Tampax, Playtex, Stayfree?" asks the clerk.

"I've never had to do this before," says Jake to the clerk, who is also a woman.

"Wait, you have a girlfriend, and you don't know what kind of feminine hygiene products she uses," says the clerk, with a laugh.

"Well, this is my first girlfriend...wait, I didn't mean it like that...I...uhh...I...well...." says Jake, all flustered.

"Oh, I get it. This is your first serious relationship. You still have a lot to learn about your girlfriends periods, that's okay. My ex-boyfriend refused to buy tampons for me," says the clerk.

"(Y/N) was the first girl who talked to me for longer than five minutes, and I've...never...had...to..." says Jake.

"Deal with your girlfriend's periods," says the clerk.

"Yeah," says a sheepish Jake.

"I'm trying to score some good boyfriend points right now by getting (y/n), my girlfriend, what she needs" says Jake.

"My sister and my cousin use these pads," says the clerk, grabbing a pack of Always pads from the shelf, in size 3 absorbency.

"They're great. You just choose what size that she needs based on her flow, the numbers and the colors make it easier to choose," says the clerk.

"I use these overnight pads," says the clerk, grabbing a pack of Always overnight pads in size 4 absorbency.

"Also, get her a bottle of Pamprin. Then, go to the candy aisle, and get her several boxes of chocolate, and then get her a few pints of her favorite Ben and Jerry's flavors from the freezer," says the clerk.

"Trust me, if you want to be on your girlfriends good side right now, you'll do those things," says the clerk.

"Thanks, I didn't realize that there was a period starter pack," says Jake, all red from embarrassment.

"It's no problem, we get this all the time. You're not the first man who's gotten all flustered," says the clerk.

Jake got the pads, the Pamprin, the chocolates, and four pints of Ben and Jerry's in Cherry Garcia, Half Baked, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, and Americone Dream.

Jake pays for the purchase, and then leaves the store. He drives back home in the Jeep, and he unpacks the ice cream and puts it in the freezer. He puts the pads in the bathroom, under the sink, on the left hand side, where I normally keep them. Jake puts the chocolates on my night stand.

Jake kisses my cheek and tuns off the heating pad. He sees that I've fallen asleep. He pulls the covers over me, and then gets back into the Jeep. He goes to McDonald's and gets us both a quarter pounder with cheese, a large fry to split, the Coke (for himself-I drink water), and a hot fudge sundae for me.

I wake up, only to realize that Jake isn't there. I start calling for Jake, and check his mancave, where I knew he would be. No Jake. I check the living room. No Jake. I go to the bathroom to relieve myself, and I see the pads under the sink when I reach for one. I change my pad, wash my hands, then take a Pamprin.

Jake enters the door with McDonald's in hand, and sees me walking towards him.

"Oh, honeybun. What are you doing out of bed?" asks Jake, kissing my forehead.

"I was looking for you. I didn't know what happened to you," I say.

"I got you what you needed, and then I went and got us McDonald's," says Jake.

"You were busy sleeping," says Jake.

"You got me a quarter pounder with cheese and fries?" I say.

"Yes, and I even got you that hot fudge sundae you like," says Jake.

My lips crash onto Jake's.

"Jake, thanks!" I say.

"I love you. I love you so much," I say.

"I love you, too," says Jake.

Jake kisses me again, and pulls out some paper plates, and removes the burgers from the bag and the fries. Jake gets you a bottle of water, and he puts his straw in the Coke. Jake divides the fries, and he puts the sundae in the freezer. Jake gets out the ketchup, and he squirts a sizeable amount on the side of his plate. I even squirt a sizeable amount on the side of my plate. Jake and I found out on a date early on that we both liked to dip our fries in ketchup, not squirt them on the fries. In our eyes, it was the only acceptable way to have fries and ketchup.

Jake and I talk and eat our lunch. Jake then gives me the sundae, and I eat it. Jake throws out the paper plates, the boxes and the bag. He picks me up and carries me bridal style back to the bedroom, but I insist on the bathroom. I need to change my pad again.

Jake deposits me in the bathroom, and I reach for a pad, and I change it. It seems that the new pads Jake got me absorbs quite a lot, and I put another one in. Later, I'm going to take a nice, hot bath to help soothe the cramps. I would love for Jake to join me.

After I'm done, Jake carries me back to bed, and pulls the covers over me. I fall asleep again, and this time, and Jake plays another video game. After a while, Jake stops, removes his glasses, and falls asleep next to me. He's pulls me close to his chest, and we both sleep for the rest of the afternoon.

After a while, I wake up, and Jake is already wide awake, his arms still around me.

"Are you feeling better, honey bun?" asks Jake.

"A little," I say.

"What do you want for dinner?" says Jake.

"Pizza sounds good," I say.

"Okay. Our usual toppings?" says Jake.

"Yes, Jake, with all of the usual toppings," I say.

Jake orders the pizza, and we decide to play Mario Kart while we wait. He ordered it for delivery, instead of pick up, and I can't wait. I go to get us our drinks after a while, and I go to gather my pj's and I put a pair of panties on top, and take them to the bathroom. I put the overnight pad in my panties, and I gather the bath bomb, and the bubble bath.

The pizza arrives, and it's the Detroit style pizza that we both love, with pepperoni and mushrooms. He even made sure to get those red pepper flakes to put on it.

Jake puts on a movie. We watch Fantastic Four, and eat the pizza. After I'm done, I wash my hands. Jake has some vanilla ice cream with chocolate sauce, while I down my pint of Cherry Garcia.

The movie is over, and I go to draw my bath. I start to run the water, and put in the bubble bath and the bath bomb.

"Honey bun, let me join you. I think we could both use some couple bath time," says Jake.

I let the water get to hot, and I take my clothes off, and get in. Jake gets down, and he turns on his phone, and puts on some soft spa music, and lights some candles. We sit there in the tub, and just soak until the water turns cold. Jake kisses every inch of bare skin he can find.

After, Jake and I get out of the tub, and we dry each other off. Jake is in his lounge pants and T-shirt, and I'm in my pj's. We both brush our teeth. Then we kiss each other lovingly. I take a few Pamprin.

"Good night, honey bun," says Jake.

"Good night, my sweet goofball," I say.

Jake and I snuggle as we both fall asleep. The next morning, we wake up, and just lay in each other's arms.

"Are you feeling better?" asks Jake.

"Good morning, my sweet goofball," I say.

"Yes, I'm already feeling much better," I say.

I have the most amazing, cute, even cuter when he's flustered, caring, sweetest boyfriend in the world. Jake wouldn't trade this for the world. I wouldn't even trade this for the world.

Looking out the giant windows of the study, whiskey glass in hand, Xuan couldn't help but think back to his harsh words he used earlier in the argument with Ai. He didn't like it and he hated himself more than anything for the way he acted and reacted towards her, for having made those beautiful black orbs of her fill with tears. But it couldn't have been helped... It was too late to take things back now, especially now that everything was said and done: he'd gotten angry out of his own stupid frustration and lashed out at her for Ai having came to him yet again to complain about her suitors, even if at the end of the day it wasn't the poor girl's fault that he still wasn't brave enough to tell her how he truly felt about her.

I'd rather have you as a mere spectator To applaud those tears that hurt, And I did wish for us to be the main actors of this story But now...

In fact, given their friendzone status, Ai couldn't have known that bringing up her love life would piss him off, since friends do this kind of stuff all the time, asking each other for advice. But what she didn't know, or at least hadn't realized yet, was that Xuan didn't really view her solely as a friend. In fact, the man was madly in love with her, and that ever since they were in University. But given his stubborn and cocky nature, he was too proud to admit to his own feelings, and thus, Xuan kept everything to himself in the hopes that they'll just fade away. After all, he was a criminal and this life wouldn't have allowed for them to be together happily in that way. It was too risky for her, too dangerous! And yet....

(Verse 2) We wanted to go our separate ways I want loud days, you want whispered ones Your sand is like quicksand I'm slowly drowning in it, but we end up drowning together (...) You don't dream of me, but I want to appear in your dreams

For the most part it worked, ignoring his own feeling that is, until little by little his own jealousy started to get the better of him... The desire to reclaim what was rightfully his growing with every little recollection Ai would tell him about about her dumbass boyfriend wannabes who, in Xuan's opinion, did not deserve her. Not to mention the conflicting feelings and desires she constantly managed to awaken in him with her teasing. Even if he didn't show it openly, Ai's naughty ways of playing with his limits and attempts at turning him on were like a fucking torture for the green eyed man. It only made it harder for him to oppose the urge of acting on his own feelings.

After all, who else could've been a better suitor for her than him? In the end, Xuan was the one who had her first and even if she didn't fully remember that night back in Uni, he did... And he thought of it ever since...

But at the same time, Xuan was aware that if Ai didn't love him back, which he was truly unsure and confused about, given her contradicting behavior, trying to pull advances on her would've risked ruining their friendship, which he didn't want. It was soo goddamn frustrating!

Back then it all felt soo clear and simple when it came to getting what he wanted. All it took was for Ai to get drunk and she was at his fingertips, begging on her knees for his touch and professing her undying love for him. Maybe he did wrong too back then by taking Ai up on her request, just like that knowing fully well that Ai wasn't sober, but they were both young and stupid and he was a fucking jerk back then. But damn! That must've been one of the best nights in Xuan's entire existence! Ai was perfect, sublime and sensual... The best woman he'd ever had and who knows, maybe he loved her even back then and that was what made it even better?

Xuan sighed and downed another glass of whiskey, trying to dim the pain and frustration. If only she could remember it too and make things easier for him... Xuan sucked when it came to anything that had to do with feelings and love because that was uncharted territory for him and now, because of his own weakness and incapability, he ended up screwing things up. If only he wasn't this broken inside... If only... He could actually tell her how he felt...

A bitter-sweet chuckle escaped Xuan's lips, as he placed his fist against the window, frowning at his own reflection. "Hah... I guess you've truly ended falling in love with her in the end... You stupid idiot." He reprimanded himself and bit his lip. He was too far gone to pull back now: he wanted Ai and he was tired of holding back in the fear that he could've lost her. This wasn't a way for Xuan to live anymore: if he kept reacting like this because of his feelings of jealousy every time he'd see Ai with another man, he was going to end up hurting both her and his own feelings more than if he were to simply put an end to it all by confessing his love and being rejected. "I guess it's all or nothing... I can't keep on doing things like this! I've reached my own limit..." With that said, the man turned towards the table, placing the empty glass on the desk, and with a deep breath, Xuan took out his phone and dialed Ai's number.

"Ai..." Her name slipped like a whispered prayer off his lips once he heard her tearstained voice on the other end. "I'm sorry... We... We need to talk. I need to tell you something important... Face to face... Soo, can you come over, please? I promise I won't scream at you this time or ever again for that matter..."

Now the ball was rolling and all he could do was wait and see the result.

Well for starters Macaque was ICONIC here!! Also adorablex3 From his expressions to his redemption (which we'll prob see more of next season x3) I LITERALLY DIED WHEN I SAW HIM TIED UP LIKE OMG MY BOY XDDDD also don't get me started on how gentle he was with lbd's host. WELCOME TO THE DAD SQUAD MY MAN!!

Edit: I totally forgot to add the "hero and warrior" part huh? ^^' that was also one of the best parts of the episode! The fact that Macaque kept saying "I'm not a hero" because he doesn't SEE himself as one. So MK sees what this is about and tells him to be a warrior! That hit so hard it killed me qwq and his face while MK said that it looked so puuuure TwT (I'll also like to add the amazing moment with both of them transforming at the same time they looked so cooooooolx33)

I'll also gonna go ahead and say I DIED from the dragonfruit content we got like, "don't you give up on me dragon girl!" I JUST CAN'T!! He was so worried the entire time for MeiTwT AND HE GRABBED HER BY THE CHEEKS! NOT EVEN THE SHOULDER THE CHEEKS!! AND HE CALLED HER BY NAME! HE HASN'T CALLED ALMOST ANYONE BY NAME!! and then the hug at the end omG I'M GONNA CRY!!! He was leaning on her tooooo QwQ the shippers ate good those 2 days UwU

Let's also talk about the interactions we had with Macaque and Wukong cause I honestly loved every second of it! I'll be real I don't really ship it, I mostly see them as a sibling dynamic. I was super excited with the fight scene and the fact that we had some parallels from their first fight!! (now if that was on purpose for us to talk about or to make the animation quicker idcUwU) I'll add here the fact that we FINALLY got to see the monkey king use his freaking laser eyes!! I seriously got hyped there!! X3 and then we go towards the end with them bickering like the bros they are XDD it was super adorable and it killed me how cute and funny it was! I also appreciate how they didn't go with saying "I'm nothing like him" at the same time, making it more realistic!

Now going to the epic final fight!! It was truly a sight to behold!! The way we got everyone helping out was just beautiful!! And the animation was the cherry on top!!

I also wanna give some spotlight to our villain here! It's really cool that we got some backstory at the start of the 3rd ep. And you have no idea how I screamed when we got a reference from the original journey to the west, where lbd transformed into a young girl, an old lady, and an old man afterwards! I can't help but get excited when they do things like that!!! We also got more about the mayor! And how apparently he AIN'T one of the corrupted/ possest people and how apparently he also ages old! But the fact that we don't know wat happened to him after the defeat of lbd kinda concerns me... And talking about defeat, while I did want her ded after what she did to my boy, I kinda felt bad to how done she was afterwards, how she had accepted her "destiny" hehe... Also with what she said to MK about their pursuit always leading to pain I can't help but think we in for sth more angsty than what we got now sooooo... Ready ur tissues next season and let's pray that they get a little break before that qwq.

Finally! Leaving my fav part for the end! MK and Wukong!(this one is gonna be longerxD) This whole situation started because monkey king decided to deal with lbd alone to protect the others.(and mostly MK let's be realUwU) I can't imagine what both monkey king AND MK were dealing with after lbd's cheap shot with possessing the king. The first time Wukong tried to attack MK he got saved last minute by Macaque! The 2nd time Wukong manage to break control for a few seconds thanks to MK!! Not only did he not hurt him, but he even threw him out of the way to make sure he doesn't end up doing sth worse to the kid!! 3rd time saved by Macaque AGAIN! (TY MY EMO MONKEY!!) And thank GOD the fourth time was the last, and our king finally broke free thanks to MK's trust!! And talking about trust, that's what I love about them. During the whole special, MK believed in The king, he knew that he was fighting for control! He trusted him so much that during the 4th attempt to hit MK, he didn't flinch! He knew Wukong was heading towards him and he didn't turn his head for a second nor did he try to defend! Giving Wukong the strength he needed to break free! (God the hug after that was adorable qwq)

And not just MK, Monkey king also trusts in MK's strength! When the kid went to confront lbd Wukong was the one who stopped the others from interfering. Trusting that MK was more than capable on handling the situation!

And during the end, the whole apology scene was everything I wanted to see! At first I thought MK was gonna be the one to start the conversation, but I'm really happy that Monkey king approached him instead. He was aware that he messed up and that he could obviously tell that the kid was still somewhat upset about it. He knows he's a bad mentor and honestly idk why people expect him to be amazing at it.

This is the monkey king we're talking about! The same guy that made an entire mess up in the celestial realm cause he wanted to be called "great sage equal to heaven". He still has a long way to go to be able to learn how to properly teach but he will try! He's trying for his kid. It's good that they finally got the time to talk about it cause that will make their bond even stronger now!(also the fact that he said "I'm sorry MK" and not bud is so sweet qwq) Honestly I'm a big sucker for parent-child relationships especially when they play it right and when the characters are to die for x3

I really can't wait to see what the future has in store for them in the next season ( and hopefully the one after that pls qwq)

Art of Ducktales Review: Just Ducky

Hello everyone and welcome to an extra crunchy bonus review, as I take a look at something you knew I was going to get eventually but thanks to mom telling me I wasn't getting it for christmas, I bought way sooner than expected: The Art of Ducktales, the art book released just last week from Dark Horse, containing interviews with tons of the crew, mostly Matt and Frank as you'd expect, behind the scenes art, and more good stuff. It was 50 bucks for the standard version but was it worth it? Join me to find out This was something I was jazzed for and for good reason: My love of ducktales is well documetented on this blog having covered the major arcs for season, all of season 3 and some assorted episodes. And i'm not really slowing down as I have a Gizmoduck arc planned for sometime next year (whenever Kev wants to do it), and a review of "last Christmas!" in just a few weeks. While I plan to still pace myself I do want to have reviewed EVERY episode at some point. Ducktales was everything I coudl've hoped for, more and then more AFTER THAT, an expertly crafted show spread over three wonderful seasons that should've gotten a fourth. What we got was still great though, so naturally a book honoring that, especially from disney who RARELY makes merch for older fans of their DTVA shows, and one that's sales could impact us getting one for Owl House, was like catnip. The fact that it was written and put together by Ken Plume, the same great dude who put together the awesome Art of Venture Bros that I still use reguarly for my Venture Bros retrospective was just the cherry on top So did it live up to the hype? Welll... yes and no. The bad news is while I HOPED for some content about what episodes could've been, some new factoids about the characters already.. there wasn't much of that. What we have gotten through tumblr (and Kev sending me posts) has mostly been thorugh the supplemental book that came with the deluxe edition I didn't buy because it was 80 dollary doos. I was already pushing my budget getting this. From that we did find out Hortense and Quackmore are still alive and living on Grandma Duck's farm.. but...

Like... did they meet the kids before Della came back? Why would they go along with Donald's lies? why did they never try to patch the donald and scrooge riff?

What is their relationship with the kids? How would they react to Webby, both pre and post revelation about her being a clone now and the two of her just a hangin around donald adopted? how would they treat Daisy? why are they on a farm? These are questions we fans can answer and i'll have fun doing so, this book reignited my passion and writins for the show so I might just do that, but it's stil baffling to just drop that bomb and not fill it Out matt, and especailly in the delxue edition. We also get conformation it was Matt who clearly missed the queer subtext with Webby and Lena as not only does it never come up but he outright calls them "friends who are sisters". Maybe he dosen't care some fans ship them? maybe it's his interpretation? I dunno and as one of the co creators it's fair for him to interpret it that way.. in a sense

All in good fun of course. I do respect Matt. But I also expect my right to disagree. Anyways, we don't get any new blistering insights into the world itself. But it's MORE than made up for. While this book lacks in what we coudl've had it's a really GORGEOUS celebration of what we did get. For starters we get a LOT of in depth info on the creation of the show, it's themes, and I gained a new respect for a guy I didn't even really know existed, Seam Jimenz who was the shows art director. The stuff he pulled off for the show, the tone he set and everything he and his crew were amazing. A lot of the book is he or other people on the show detailing how they pulled off shit that came off efortless to me and making me love the show even more. From blocking an episode in an enclosed place for Last Crash of the Sunchaser, to how they ONLY used fog for Missing Links of Morshire or the castle eps as a stylistic choice, to the little bits of comic fuz you see in every background there's a lot of cool details. We also get lots of great art, from the protype designs of the kids, to Lena's own evolution, to various concept art for characters. There were a lot of good designs before the awesome ones we landed on. We also get art of incidental stuff like the posters from Terror of the Terra Firmians, the very gay cake from Night on Killmotor hill, the darkwing first darkness poster.. if your a hardcore fan of thes how like I am there's a LOT to love here. So in short, as this is a fairly short review if you love hearing the people who made this show fantastic talk about how they pulled that offf, character stuff, episode ideas and other neat little stuff, this is for you. if your hoping for more of the show.. this sadly isn't it.. but maybe it'll get us more. Either way it's a great insight into the beautiful found family this show created that gave us one of my faviorite shows of the last decade. Woo-Ooo!a
